The old wolf is a loyal one if anything, though not to his previous pack, but to Borealis and his daughter, and once his mate before she passed on.

While he was once a plenty trained fighter in his younger days, who's seen enough battle to last him for ages, he's become very mellow and anti-fighting in his old age.
> Unhurried
He sees no reason to rush things like love, training, or growing up in life. "You'll get there eventually, so take your time and enjoy life while you can" is his motto, and he certainly lives by it. He does nothing with any kind of hurry or rush.

Galen is very proud of his daughter and pack-mates, especially the pups when they learn a new skill or do something successfully for the first time.
- Forgetful
Even though forgetfulness can come with old age, this particular old wolf has always been forgetful. He's had a hard time remembering things for a long time, and it's only gotten worse as he gets older.
- Regretful
He finds himself weighed down by all of his regrets very often, and it can affect how he interacts with others. When he gets like this, he gets very snappish and irritated with others, so he tends to avoid others at these times.
- Tense
He's very jumpy and tense, like he's always waiting for something bad to happen.
Backstory:
Galen has had a very full life, living within the Northern Mountaineers pack for most of it. He was born within the pack, found his mate there, and saw the birth of his only two pups there. He also lived many years protecting and serving the pack as a battle hardened warrior. However, when his son passed away and his daughter informed him that she wanted to depart from the pack for reasons he couldn;t understand, he was at a major loss. He wanted to stay with the pack he'd been raised in, but his dedication for his remaining family drove him to his decision. Somehow, it's all very vague in everybody's minds, they left the pack and the mountains all together.
They roamed together, the three of them mother daughter and father, and managed to survive on their own until his mate was unable to go on any longer. She was weary, tired, and old, as he was, but she was also weaker. She passed on less than a week before the trio-now-duo found Borealis and after some convincing joined the pack.
