Question: How much of the original content is in this RP?


Answer: This is a completely original storyline, that has no connection whatsoever to any existing Fushigi Yuugi stories in any form. Although the basic premise of the story, the Priestess' and the Celestial Warriors, the Book of the four gods and modern world are all present, characters, some lore, and events from canon stories will not be present in this RP. This gives members an opportunity to create their own side stories and develop their own characters to a certain extent.

Question: What Genre's and theme's will be explored in this RP?


Answer: Much like the actually series, we will try to develop characters by exploring events that test them either through combat, drama or romance. The anime series had much in the way of personal tragedy, I hope I can expect that from certain characters. Personally I would love to have cliche's themes such as 'love conquers all' but add ' with a terrible price' to it. Exploring cliche's but changing the results can be a very interesting adventure.

Question: Are celestial warriors male only?


Answer: Unlike the 7 suzaku warriors, the seven celestial warriors of any of the miko's can be a mix of male or female. Personally I found the lack of female warriors unfortunate. This original storyline should help to develop what it would be like to be a female celestial warrior.

Question: Are you using the same setting?


Answer: Yes we are. Most of the main areas and cities existing in the manga and other canon sources will be used here ( due to my laziness in creating new things) but we will add new locations for the sake of plot and other things.

Question: When does a Celestial Warrior gain their Celestial Artifact?


Answer: First off the celestial artifact is non-canon. This term actually refers to the holy gifts that Taitsukuun bestowed upon the Suzaku seven, e.g. ( hotohori's sword, Nuriko's Gauntlet/bracers ) In the Roleplay a member will choose when they want their artifact to appear. Working with the GM, small plot in the story can be made to accommodate this event.

Question: How will 'time' flow in the RP?


Answer: As there is both the Real world and Four Gods World, time will flow at exactly the same rate for each world. Even though the dates may be different in each realm, if three days come to pass in the Real World, three days will pass in the Four Gods World.

Question: How does the Priestess summon her beast God?


Answer: To summon Genbu, Seiryu, Suzaku or Byakko, the following steps must be achieved.


1. Priestess must be in the Universe of the Four Gods


2. All Seven Celestial Warriors must be found.


3. The Shinzaho ( sacred beast artifact ) must be retrieved.


4. The Priestess and all the celestial warriors must and the Shinzaho must be together in a 'sacred' area.


5. The Priestess must chant the summoning to call on her beast God.

Question: Can the Celestial Warriors 'sense' the presence of their Priestess?


Answer: When the Priestess arrives into the world of the Four Gods Universe, all their celestial warriors literally feel her arrival and their symbol glows. Being near the priestess as a celestial warrior gives them a particular feeling from her presence. Otherwise, celestial warriors do not have an innate ability to 'track' the priestess when separated from her. However real-world tracking skills or supernatural ones can be used to do just that.

Question: I have a subplot I would like implemented at some time in the story, what do I do?


Answer: Normally RPers have good enough discretion to know what they can incorporate into the RP by themselves. Many times only when subplot requires an alteration of story and the cooperation of members and the GM does one have to consult the creator. PMing the GM and any other required members is a good way to plan out events you want to have to build your characters subplot or for character development.
