Under the brilliantly blue skies of Japan this fateful day lies the children of various ages getting ready for their respective schools, adults heading off to work, and for the days peacefulness to wash over everyone and everything under the bright Sun's bright rays. One family, however, had more than the next paper they had to write on their minds. The first day of school for the members of a specific few of the Sohma family was a day of worry, uneasiness, and even fear, more-so than any other kid. The sun-shiny day did not matter much to them, what with the darkness that was ever looming over them. Why, you may be asking? What can possibly happen on the first day of school that puts that kind of fear into children's' hearts? Well, if I told you, you'd have to get your memory erased. But I can't help it if you happen to find out on your own~

Kouki:
Unlike the kids, Kouki enjoyed the day of the first day of school. Ever since he woke up, which was always at the early hour of six in the morning, he's been setting up with making breakfast and making sure that his younger cousins, Aya, Ruki, and Jenjo, had their lunches. For today, he was able to see them off on their first day of the new school year. Kouki was very excited to see the kids go off into another adventure of learning, and to thankfully see some of the elementary kids at the school he works at for baseball tryouts, as he is the school's baseball coach.

Kouki was also in the midst of working with his step mother and the head of the family about having his little sister, Estuko, living with him too. The two siblings knew how much they disliked being on the main Sohma property and their step mother, and Kouki wanted to get his sister away from all that.

As he was thinking about his sister, the alarms of the other cousins' phones/clocks went off, and soon enough their tired selves were heard coming down the hallway or down the stairs to get ready for school.
"Good morning!~ Is everyone excited for today?!" Kouki asked with a large goofy smile plastered to his face, as well as his hand on the pan handle, with eggs sizzling in it, all done and ready to be devoured.

Hikari:

The young bunny woke up with the usual first-day-of-school jitters. All the what-ifs clogged her mind, but she put all of them aside as she got herself dressed in her school uniform which was freshly washed and dried just that last night and washed up. She then went down the stairs to start breakfast, as she knew that her brother, Renjiro, would not wake up easily, nor happily, especially this early in the morning. Humming a little tune that she'd been working on on her little keyboard, since she couldn't afford a piano, she looked around the cupboards for some food she could prepare.

As soon as she found some extra rice and stuff to make some miso, Hikari started to cook, while also keeping an ear out for her brother. She feared, though, that she'd have to wake him up, and she was not ready to meet the Devil on the first day of school.

She also prepared some coffee for her father while he was reading the morning paper.
"Morning, Daddy!" She exclaimed as he looked up off the paper to see her.

Renjiro

An incessant ringing, one after the other, there was no escape to it, no matter how strong his grip was on the pillow above his head, there was only so much that the fabric coould muffle. A guttural, low groan would accompany the dreaded symphony that would start a new day, his body crawling out of the bed to put an end to it. Yet another alarm clock would be put out of its misery thrown against the wall as it met the fury and hatred of the Devil. This would probably the . . . fourth one this month? Coming out of his own pocket, but still, maybe the damage was not enough this time around to warrant simply a pair of capable hands. Not a human soul was brave enough to venture into this room, not at the threat of facing the awakening of the creature who lurked inside . . . or perhaps they did not have the patience to deal with a waste of space like him and he was just using a vapid metaphor to make him feel better about himself. Wouldn't be the first time.

Renjiro rose from the blankets at last, tucked in what resembled a roll despite finding himself now on the floor of his room, not occupied by piles of manuals, books, computer and other devices parts and what not. Lord knew how he could organize himself in a mess like this. Dishleveled and puffy, his bed hair would certainly stick out at first glance, with eyes barely opened and his clothes just to match with his appperance overall. Chirping of birds close by and the touch of sunlight across his skin, the young man stood up, yet clinging to the sheet, covering him as if a hooded cape, as he headed to the bathroom. A shower, a presentable choice of clothes, headphones tucked around his neck, it would take a while, but Renjiro would follow after the smell of breakfast to the kitchen where the rest of his family were. And while not as overcome by the dread of mornings as in the beginning, he could only greet his father and sister in a groggy voice as he sat down, resting his head against the cold surface of the table. " . . . 'morning . . . " Well, an effort, nonetheless! And on the first day of school, where he would be incarcerated for hours on end to be forced to interact with other human beings? A miracle!

Aya

While the others are just rising from bed Aya was already up starting the day. She woke up at dawn and decided to take a run before school. She really didn't mind school really, actually she loved it! It was a place to get away from everyone and feel normal. She wasn't really scared of anyone finding out her families secret. One, she was very careful not to have anyone touch her and two if they did find out what was she suppose to do about it. It isn't like her life could get any worst.

By the time Aya finished her run she knew that everyone would soon be getting up and decided to head back. The smell of Kouki's cooking could be smelt a mile away. When Aya was little she remembered visiting Kouki and eating his cooking. She loved his food but she would never admit that to him.

Aya grabs the cloth she left outside and wipes the sweat off her before going inside. When she walked inside she heard Kouki's asking if everyone was excited for today. Aya silently pops around the corner leaning against the wall. "It's just another day, Kouki, nothing special to it really." she says with a roll of her eyes.

Ryou

Ryou sat at the breakfast table gobbling up his mothers pancakes she had made for him. Despite the nerves of going back to school Ryou was really excited to back to school. Due to being sick Ryou missed a lot of school for two years which made him fall behind so instead of moving on he was held back those two years. However over the break he was part of a study program to help him catch back on what he miss. He did so well over the break that if everything goes good with his health and he stays good in school he'll be able to move up to his normal grade level next year.

After finishing breakfast Ryou grabbed his backpack and luch from his mom. She gave him a kiss before heading out the door. He walked by Kouki's place on the way to school so he decided to surprise him and see if he could go with him to school. When he got to his door her didn't even bother to knock instead he just walked inside knowing Kouki would welcome him anyway. A huge smile was on his face as he ran over giving Kouki a huge. "Hey! Did you miss me? I haven't seen you all break!" he says squeezing his older cousin.

Hoshi
The snake woke early that morning, rising with the sun as they say. She tended to prefer the early mornings. The crisp air, the quiet of nature, slowly building as more animals began to stir. Sometimes Hoshi woke early enough to see the sun rise. The colors that appeared blended so evenly, Hoshi jealous that she could never achieve that same blend in her own artwork. This particular morning brought a sense of foreboding on Hoshi. It was the first day of her last year and it nerved the snake. Not because of the school itself, but what lay after it. Hoshi had high ambitions, that was clear to anyone who spend moments in her presences. She wanted to go to a university and become a psychiatrist. Sadly, this is not something she could do while residing in the Sohma residence. While she had a great deal of freedom, only sharing her small house with Sakura, there was still a sense of containment, she wasn't truly free.

Hoshi let these thoughts wander as she prepared breakfast, simple yet hearty enough to prepare the two students for the school day. She left Sakura her food as she got ready, nerves setting in the closer she came to leaving. She would soon be looking into universities, and hopefully setting her future before she graduates high school. Hoshi feared the reaction of the head of the Sohma house, as he tended to keep those close to him. She had no idea how to deal with Mikoto, preferring to keep her head low and stay out of his way. But she could not avoid this. She needed.... pointers on how to deal with him. And only one family member came to mind. After school, she would talk to Kouki.

Haru
Haru loved the first day of school. He loved seeing his friends again, loved seeing the new students, just loved it. And this year was special. He was elected student class president, something he took with great honor. Wanted to start off on the right foot, Haru insisted on arriving early. His father was only too happy to assist in this endeavor, making him a hearty breakfast and sending him on his way, pride on his face. Haru noticed many housed in the large Sohma estate stirring, sending children off as well. The rooster smiled, happy that he would be able to see a lot of his cousins once more. Sure, he saw some of them during the break, but a few avoided the estate at all costs. But Haru didn't mind. The cousins here were very nice. Hoshi often took him in when his father was hounding him, giving him a safe place of comfort.

Haru was also excited to start his first year of high school, as it really felt like he was growing up. No one could treat him like a kid anymore! Haru laughed slightly to himself as he made the walk to school. He took in the nature around him and smiled. Perhaps he would go for a hike after school, see if he can discover any new places around the estate.

Asahi merely woke up..He'd yawn a bit looking around his rather small bedroom. His hair was a bit messy from the inevitable bed head, he was just glad to wake up another day, well as welcoming sunlight flooded in through the rather small window. The walls of the room itself were painted a pretty basic inoffensive beige. The floor was a pretty basic wooden one, as he had been sleeping on a fairly basically futon, very comfortable though. Trinkets and various items were on the shelves, mostly collectibles that he had gotten fairly good deals on. The rarer the item, the more it was protected it seemed, in terms of placement and how much material was in between it and the outside world. He had a desk in his room, with some papers on it, a small analog alarm clock rested there, a rather old one. His signature backpack which he had worn whenever he went to school since he got it or whenever he went out shopping was sitting on a wall next to the desk ready for whatever action was to come today. It seemed he had also set out some clothing from the night before, so that he'd be ready for action, after he completed his basic morning routine that many others followed in Japan. In actuality he didn't own the house, as he did not have enough money to own his own house entirely. He in actuality, had a rather nice landlord who rented it out to him. As a result he had to be extra careful not to hurt anything in the house that didn't belong to him, not that it was really an issue he had to worry about, unless some freak accident were to occur. It helped that the rate was lower than usual, as it meant he could splurge a bit more on food and his passionate, trading and business deals he enjoyed. Overall he thought he was pretty well off in many ways and felt that he had it pretty easy in a lot of ways in which he was thankful for. he knew that if something went wrong he'd have a family to default too, as he lived quite close by. And if everything failed miserably he was sure that he could get back at least onto the family estate land somehow. He knew that if worse came to worst they wouldn't abandon him at least. Naturally he hoped that he could maintain successful independence, and merely come visit the estate frequently as he had been for the past months. Even with the curse at least he had people like Hoshi at the estate to look forward too...

Though Asahi was actually pretty good at waking up, he usually didn't use it unless he had to wake up for something special. There was also a fairly basic computer in his room, a desk lamp in addition and what seemed to be lots of sticky notes all over the computer written very neatly in various kanji. Most of them were notes on where the best deals could be found for various goods, even though his memory was much above average, it couldn't be perfect naturally, so he thought better to be safe than sorry. He did realize that today many of the family members would be starting up school again. He however still has yet to find a College. In actuality he had sent in some applications but he was still waiting for a response... He really did want to try to live as close to the family estate as possible for now as to minimize any drama that may occur if he were to try to go even farther than he was permitted. So he had applied at the closest colleges, He hadn't really told everyone about it, only those he could trust to not go blab and tell every single soul in the family. He was thinking that he would probably try to go into business due to his skill with money, trade, buying, and making generally good direct business decisions based on what he thinks is best. On the right wall, he had a poster of the famous block print "The Great Wave". He figured that it was time for him to actually get up and get his day started. He would proceed to go through all of the motions of said morning routine getting cleaned properly, redressed and then he promptly began to cook himself some rice, Miso soup, and grilled salmon for one, opting for a classic Japanese breakfast this morning, as he knew it would get him through the day well. After eating and what not he proceeded to merely sit at the table and ponder a bit what he should do.. He figured that he should probably visit the estate once everyone was back from school, so he could see how their day went and what not, as that would only be right. Eventually the monkey decided to take out a book, and read to pass some time until then, later he would check some of his business affairs online and after that figure something else out to d like shopping before heading out later in the day to the estate.

Jenjo
Jenjo had woken up early to go out for his morning runs. Whenever he did that it made him feel more energetic and prepared for the day. Seems how this was his first day at school he needed all the energy he could get. He also ran because his horse side enjoyed the running. Although he tended to stay human while running, there was less question if a man was running and not a horse. "Then again I have had a run in with some random chick...a few times...I wonder why she is so curious about a horse..." He said to himself as he walked through the door of the house.

He rarely ever ate breakfast and Kouki always got on to him for it. His thoughts drifted to Mikoto, once this day was over were they going to have to meet up and tell him everything or could they just relax. He really didn't care to deal with the head of the family. He sighed, maybe he should go ahead and eat something, dealing with the people from school was a bit of a bother seems how there were some really touch girls.

Ruki
"This is the first day... you'll be okay...you'll be okay... People probably won't even notice you. Yeah you won't be noticed at all everyone will ignore you..." Her breathing picked up as she thought about all the people she would have to face. "Oh god what am I going to do... I...I can't face that many people..."

She was only making things worse as she thought of all the new people wanting to shake hands and get to know her. She paced back and forth in her room and chewed on her nails, trying to calm herself but doing so unsuccessfully. Before she knew it a cow was pacing in her room. She groaned inwardly, staring at her reflection, "G-great..." This was not a good start to her day, maybe she should have just stayed asleep. How was she supposed to go to school now, she couldn't even open the door to her room.

Kazi Fukoino
Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Kazi rolled over reaching for his alarm clock only to find the bed still. He loved his king size bed but it was one hell of a pain when trying to get to that damned alarm clock. He moved a bit more and smacked the thing off. He didn't want to get up, it'd be okay to miss the first day of school right? And if the teachers asked he could always play it off like he had been oh so sick.

He groaned sitting up, yeah he couldn't do that it was tempting but his parents would kill him. "On the bright side hopefully there will be some cute freshmen girls to hit on..." He grinned while stretching, "Here comes your prince charming ladies!!!" He stood and walked over to his bar yawning a bit, "Some wine sounds nice before school." He reached over and grabbed a bottle of White Moscato and poured a small glass taking it with him while he went to shower. He was in no rush, he had plenty of time to relax before heading to that place.

Haruka Tsutsukakushi
Hauka woke up bright and early. She was the type of girl to always be on time and get straight A's in school. She never saw it as a bother plus she was just one of those naturally smart girls. She sat up and turned off the alarm. Sakura didn't sleep in a regular bed. Her and her father lived pretty traditional. Today she was officially a second year and the new freshmen would be coming today. She had been put in charge of helping out and showing the new first years where all the classes were incase they forgot. But she had to be there early before they got there. She stood up and got washed and dressed then she headed to the living room and sat down on the floor at the table. Her father was in the kitchen making breakfast. Part of her wanted to skip school cause she knew she would have to deal with Kazi. He was probably going to be messing with first year girls and she was going to have to keep him at bay. "Ugh" Her father came in and put her plate in front of her. He made waffles this morning, her favorite. She started chowing down. As she was eating she noticed the worried and tired look on her father's face. "You ok?" He looked up at her. "Yeah I was just up last night seeing how much we made last week." Her family's dojo was close to being taking away from them. Orginally the dojo had been given to her family. Her great grandfather was friends with Kazi's great grandfather and he didn't make him pay for the land, the building or anything. Her family at the time weren't doing so well and Kazi's great grandfather being such close friends let him have the land and dojo. There was never anything really on paper. It was just a handshake and agreement between two friends. As the years went by the family grew farther apart then one day out f the blue Kazi's father pops up saying they owed a bunch of money. It didn't matter it had been given to them. She was so upset by the whole thing she even try to talk to Kazi to see if he would talk to his father. Of course he wouldn't even listen to what she had to say, Instead he ended up hitting on her. Which she ended up slapping his face. She can't stand the guy cause of how much of a jerk he is. And she hates his family with a passion.

Once she was done with breakfast she excused herself grabbed her bag and left heading to school. Haruka's dojo was actually located in a forest area and she had to take a path to school. She liked it cause it was nice and peaceful walk that and sometimes hoped she run into that horse again. The first time she saw the horse she couldn't believe how beautiful it was. It's mane was silver and the horse just seemed so unrealistic it was pretty close to looking like a freaking unicorn. Well she knew she wouldn't see it this morning but maybe later on her way home.

Once she finally made it to school she dropped her ba off in her class room then got ready for the new student's to arrive. She had a think on her arm that let the first years know they could come to her if they were lost or had any questions. Soon enough the students started to arrive.

Jenjo
He walked by the kitchen and waved to Kouki, he paused looking for Ruki, "Good morning Kouki, has Ruki not woke up yet?" He asked, normally she was up and ready for some food. She always loved food, it was another thing that seemed to help her stay relaxed and calm, besides music. So she tended to have snacks with her wherever she went, he always thought it was kind of cute. He thought of her like a little sister, he always wanted to keep her safe and protected. Greekgeek1213 Greekgeek1213

Ruki
Even though she was nervous and scared she still wanted to go to school and learn. She couldn't though now that she was stuck in this form, tears began to form in her eyes. She laid down and cried silently, why was she so shy and scared all the time. She wanted to be like Jenjo or Ren and at least not transform when she got so stressed about dealing with people. She wasn't sure why it was so easy to be with Jenjo or Ren. She wouldn't mind being like Hikari but she didn't think she would have the energy that Hikari does.

Kazi Fukoini
He got his shower done and finished his glass of wine, "Master Fukoini breakfast has been prepared for you." His silver eyes traveled to the voice of the servant, "Thank you Kinu" He said before settling the glass down and going over to get dressed. His mind traveled to Haruka, "I guess I'll be seeing her again, I wonder if I should change my approach on her this year." He tapped his chin, "I could always use the threat of her losing the dojo faster if she doesn't date me." Kinu sighed, "Young master why do you give the young lady so much trouble. You two used to play together as kids, you used to be very close." Kazi turned, his eyes cold, "You can thank my father for that and you know it just as I do..." His thoughts drifted back to the time she had come up to him, no doubt wanting to ask if he could talk to his father about not taking the dojo. He knew that she probably already hated him and his family so why not make her hate them...no...hate him more...she didn't need to be anywhere near his father or his dealings.

Estuko
Estuko woke up quite excited. She was now officially a high school student. "Haha! Finally, this is going to be so cool!" She said smiling to herself. She got up quickly and got washed and dressed. Once she was ready she headed down stairs. But her excitement disappeared when she saw her stepmother sitting at the table eating breakfast. She stopped and bowed. "Good morning ma'am." Her stepmother with a stern look nodded. "Good morning....you seem chipper. I aspect you to be home right when school is over. I have chores for you to do today." Estuko keeping her head low answered. "Yes, ma'am I'll be home right after school." Her stepmother smirked. "Good you may leave." Estuko bowed one more time then quickly left. Once she out the house she took out her phone and texted Hikari.

Hey meet me at Kouki's house then we can head to school from there.

Once she sent the text she headed straight over to her big brother's house. Once she got there she walked in not bothering to knock. She waved at the others as she walked in. "Morning guys!" She then noticed Ryou was there. "Oh! Morning Ryou!" She then peaked into the kitchen and slowly walked up behind her brother then jumped up wrapping her arms around him giving him a big hug. "Morning Kouki!"

Hikari:
The second oldest giggled at her brother as she placed a plate of hot, succulent breakfast food in front of him; the smell of the hot miso hitting his nose in a way that would make anyone's mouth water. She then set two more plates down, one in front of her dad and another in front of her own place at the table, then sat herself down to enjoy her own cooking.

"So, you ready to start our first year? You have all of your books? Pencils and pens? Oh, and be sure to be nice to the teachers. The better you deal with them, the smoother it is and the quicker the day goes by," Hikari exclaimed quickly, as she herself was super excited for the day to be over with. It wasn't because she didn't like school. In fact, the learning part, reading, and speaking with the teachers and other kids was what she absolutely loved! It was her being so hyper and sometimes clumsy that got in the way. Her fear of transforming was very real for her, even though she always makes sure to be careful.

Alas, once again, she kept those feelings down as she ate her own food, forgetting for that moment that Renjiro wasn't up for pretty much anything in the morning, and what she just told him probably went over his head. Instead, she looked forward to her classes. She was able to go to a meeting and get the classes she loved, so you could say the little bunny was jumping for joy about that.
'I'll have a good day! I know I'll have a good day!' She thought to herself, creating a little mantra for herself. A little while later, Hikari took both her and her brother's plates, now cleaned off from the food, and placed them in the sink for her to wash when she returned home. She then went to her room once more to place a cute bow in her hair and to get her backpack.
"You ready, Nii-san?" she asked as she stepped back into the dining room.

Suddenly, her cellphone vibrated, indicating a text message. As she checked to see what the message entailed she saw it was from Estuko about where to meet up for school.
[Hikari: Okay! :D I'm just waiting for my brother to get ready], was her reply, then she shoved her phone back into her pocket.

Kouki:

As he finished his cooking, the Cat and the Horse came in from their usual morning runs and sat down; sweat beads falling from their foreheads from their endeavor. Who he didn't see, though, was Ruki. Knowing how she was usually the hungriest of the little family, he made sure to save a plate for her as they awaited her presence. He then turned up the radio he had on the kitchen counter up as he hummed the song that was playing.
"Ah, the greatness of music in the morning. Brings the tired spirits up! So, you two, are you ready for school today? I washed your uniforms so they are in the basket on top of the dryer," the eldest then sat down with them at the table and ate with them.

However, after a few minutes, Ruki still wasn't out.
"You guys can take what you want, I'll go check on Ruki," Kouki told the other two as he got out of his chair and walked down the hall. As he walked up to the bedroom door of the Cow, he could hear the sounds of not feet but hooves. Gently, he knocked on the door.
"Ruki, you okay? May I come in?" Kouki asked. 'Aww, I bet she's nervous about school! The poor girl,' He thought to himself as he awaited a response from the youngest of the four. He knew that most of the Zodiac kids would be nervous today, but he didn't think they would be so much as to transform. Though, when it came to the shy Ruki, he wasn't surprised.

Kouki then heard not one person but two new people walk through the front door. He wasn't concerned though, as he knew just who they were. A smile formed on his lips as he was attack-hugged from behind by Estuko, his younger sister. He turned around and hugged her back, ruffling her hair in the process.
"Hey, Estuko! Ready for school today?" he asked as he saw Ryou peek at them from the corner. Kouki chuckled at the sight of the youngest Zodiac member.
"Good morning, Ryou-chan!"

Jenjo
He nodded and sat down to eat, once Ruki was in here. The food looked and smelled good as per usual, he smiled a bit. Maybe he should go ahead and start eating more often, he wouldn't want to keep missing all the yummy foods made for them.

Ruki
"C-come in..." she sniffled as Kouki knocked on the door. Would she be able to transform back to a human form before everyone left for school? She didn't know, sometimes it just depended on how fast she got her emotions under control.

Kazi Fukoini
Kazi sighed shaking his head, Kinu walked over, "Please be sure to eat Young Master, then I shall take you to school." Kazi nodded, "Okay, I'll be sure to eat." Kinu watched the young master go sit and eat, sadness hung in his eyes. What had Kazi's father made his son become...

Kouki:

Kouki turned to Estuko and Ryou, smiling kindly at both of them.
"I'm gonna go check on Ruki. Why don't you guys go and sit at the table until I come back, okay?"
He then turned back to the door, opened it, and slipped inside. Before his eyes was a a nervous-looking cow, tears streaming down her cheek. Walking up to her, at a slow and steady pace to calm his younger cousin, he plopped himself onto the bed in front of her.

"Are you okay? Need to talk it out?" He asked. He knew that everyone had different ways to trying to calm themselves or cope with things. Some liked to talk things out. Others liked to just sit and have things stay silent. And others needed to have someone's shoulder to cry on and to hug. Kouki made it a rule to always see what the other person needed, then use that specific tactic to help the other person in need.

Hoshi
With breakfast in her belly, lunch packed for both her and Sakura, and her uniform on, Hoshi decided to leave early for school.

"I'm heading out, don't be late!" she called to Sakura as she headed out the door. The snake took a deep inhale, enjoying the morning air as it filled her lungs. Hoshi would not be heading to school just yet, however. She would make a small detour first since she had time. So the snake switched directions once out of the estate, heading to a small house close to the estate to visit Asahi. She knew he would probably be up, but just in case, she simple knocked when she got to his door.

"Asahi, it's Hoshi," she said simply.

Haru
The rest of the walk to school past by without a problem. Haru actually liked these walks, just listening to the sounds of nature. Even someone as energetic as he was could enjoy moments of peace and quiet. While the school looked empty, a closer look showed a few people moving about the campus. He smiles, took the first step onto the school property, and continued to, what he thought, was the rest of his life. Sure, there was life outside of high school, but the rooster wasn't much for planning ahead. His idea of the future included many plans. Perhaps he would be a teacher, or an athlete, or maybe a police officer! The possibilities were endless.

After taking a quick look around the school, Haru decided to wait outside for more people to come. He really was excited to start the new year. Plus he knew Ren and Hikari and Ruki and Estuko and Sakura would all be in his class, so that would be fun. While waiting for the other students, Haru noticed another girl waiting as well. She was there to help any of the first years it seemed. Having nothing better to do, he walked over to her.

"Hello! My name is Haru, and I'ma first year," he introduced, laughing slightly and rubbing the back of his head.

A wonderful sight, more so given in fact his own experience with cuisine granting him, if just slight, insight into what had been done in the plate before him, the mood of the eldest of the twins could not been anything but improved at it, as he would perk up, resembling a wild animal having found a prey. Slowly, he would sit up properly, clasping his hands together to begin their meal, with a soft thank-you to his sister and for her work as of this morning.

Hikari would solely be rewarded with such, perhaps a chuckle hidded between one dish to another, even the ever so sulky presence that was her brother could not resist her charms. At least someone was looking forward to today . . . More than he could care to admit, if Hikari were to share the sentiment towards what was awaiting the two of them today, Renjiro surely would feel even worse. Someone as bright and lovely as his sister did not deserve to have her spirits thorn apart by those whom they would have to be forced to commune with at Kaibara High School.

Thus, he would find himself making an effort to appear a bit more cheerful at the prospect of all of it, even if he could not match her enthusiasm. He had club activities today and it was always a pleasure to prove wrong the first impressions that teachers had of him just by sparing a single glance at his dyed blonde hair and disregard for dress code. A little positivity could not hurt, right? He says, fearing for the inevitable and the horrible to come crashing down.

Ending their breakfast, while Hikari tended to the dishes and their father picked up the newspaper, he took it upon himself to go pick up the home-packed meals for lunch he had prepared the night before, taking just a peek at the contents to make sure all was well and presentable, such as Hikari's decoration and if his box was properly shut. Renjiro exited the kitchen just around the time he was called out. He could only wonder for how long his sister would address him as such . . . A sigh accompanied him as he approached and handed her her bentō.

"Ready." Gracing her with a smile, he tilted his head backwards to bid goodbye to their father, whom would wave at them with that goofy, warm smile of his and a wave. "Have a good day, Hikari, Ren." "Yeah." Let's hope so, he thought. Opening the door, the young man took notice of his sibling placing back her phone in its place, earning him a curious glance. " . . . Do you need to go somewhere first? I can walk you there, if you want." He exited the estate, walking out of the Sohmas' territory with his pace matching hers, as always, shifting the weight of his archery equipment for today from one shoulder to another. Just as the certitude of having Hikari abandon the habit of using a term of endearement as his sibling, so too was the reality of the two coming to hang more time around others rather than one another, grim as it were for him to confront himself with . . . Such was the plight of a needy twin. Rabbits died when they were lonely, perhaps the same could be said about dragons.

Asahi perked up rather quickly, smiling quite a great deal at the sound of Hoshi's voice, knowing immediately who it was. He'd jump up and promptly close his book almost immediately. He'd walk right over to the door, and promptly open it. He'd gaze upon her He'd be grinning in actuality, "Ohayōgozaimasu!" He'd say rather enthusiastically , before embracing Hoshi, briefly, as much as he'd perhaps like to linger a bit more..that'd get rather awkward, he also preferred to keep such thoughts in the back of his head, stored away..for obvious reasons. "I wasn't expecting you over, Please, feel free to make yourself at home~" "Is there anything I can get you, a drink perhaps?" He'd say rather pleasantly, His hospitality being very evident. He, naturally wanted Hoshi to feel as welcome as possible. There was a living room of sorts straight ahead with a couch coffee table, some chairs and what not even if it was fairly small, the color scheme was similar to his room with beige walls and a wooden plank floor. Even the furniture matched the color scheme and what not, everything, thankfully seemed fairly new and very operational. in addition there were some pictures on the wall, mostly group photos of the family, from various times. There were additional pictures naturally too of other things, but considering how large the family was they dominated most of the wall. He was just lucky that he lived so close by he figured. He wasn't entirely sure how stable the whole God situation was though...He would hope that everything would work out in the the end though. He had told Hoshi about him looking for colleges and what not, as he knew that he could trust her. She was quite trustworthy after all he had found. As these eternal thoughts went through his head, he resumed focus as He was quite interested in what Hoshi may have to say to him, as well he was always interested in what she had to say. He couldn't help but wonder how everyone else was doing either though, hoping they were alright. "So You're starting up school again hm?..." He'd merely inquire, as he walked into said room and sat down. "I do have plans today to come over to your place, once school is out for the day, so I did intend to see you, but I'm glad that you decided to come here never the less~" He said still maintaining a rather friendly and warm smile.Whenever he was with Hoshi his mood tended to feel elevated, he couldn't really explain it, perhaps it was because of their comparability on the zodiac, he'd never know, he was just extremely pleased that she was there.

Sakura
"I'm heading out, don't be late!"

"Huh? What???" Sakura suddenly woke in a daze when she heard Hoshi yell out. "Late?.....!!!! School!" She jumped out of bed and quickly got ready for school. It had been a long week for Sakura. With her arriving and having to deal with the head of the family it was pretty stress full. Plus there were things she just didn't understand. Why did she have to live here. Why was everyone so freaking nuts or had some type of weird issues? Was it part of the curse? She didn't have any family issues in fact she was on good terms with her parents. They never cared about her curse. She figured just live with it and make the best of it. But she never imaged she have to do through all this. Mikoto was probably the most terrible human being she had ever met. She didn't understand why people did what he said. Why he was able to twist him around his freaking finger. She felt like a outsider even though she technically wasn't. She's part of the family she has the curse but she didn't get why things were the way they were. Maybe it was because she wasn't raised around it or maybe it was because she wasn't close in family. She was distant relative and wasn't as close as the rest of the family. Her mother hardly knew anyone until she decided to come see them when she first found out Sakura had the curse. But it's not all bad. Sakura is happy to see the rest of her family. But she's decided she's not going to be afraid of Mikoto. If he thought he was going to push her around well he has another thing coming.

Once she was ready to go she picked up her lunch and headed out. She quickly made her way out of the estate and the moment she did she could already feel a huge difference. She turned around to look at the estate. "This is some twisted place." After those words she turned back around and headed off to school.

Hikari:

She nodded to Renjiro, along with gifting him with a smile.
"Sure! Estuko texted that she wanted us to meet at Kouki's house so that we can all walk to school," she replied to her brother's curious question with that up-beat voice and attitude that could only belong to the Bunny. At that, she started to quicken her gate so that she could meet her cousin, who also happened to be her best friend, as well as all of her other cousins, as fast as possible. She then started to sing a song as she made sure Renjiro was still close behind.
"Who's in the forest strolling? The birds and the bees sing Hikari! The frogs in the pond are calling, Hikari yes, it's true!{by the way, if you can't see the emoji, it's a few music notes}".

Soon enough, as Kouki's house wasn't too far from the estate, they arrived at the designated meeting place.
One glance at Estuko made Hikari run over to her and hug her.
"Hiii~!" She exclaimed cheerfully, which would have made any other person's ear drum burst.
"Are you ready for school?! I can't wait to check out this year's clubs!" The Bunny continued, now begging to be extra excited about the upcoming day, and now beginning to be like her good ole' self.

Haruka Tsutsukakushi
Haruka stood there watching the students come in talking and new ones looking nervous and excited at the same time. She smiled a little thinking about the first day she came. She had made quite a good amount of friends. Suddenly she heard someone's vice that took her from her thoughts. "Huh?" She turned to see a boy. She didn't recognize him. Oh did he say he was first year? "Oh hello nice to meet you." She said smiling genuinely. "Do you need help with anything?"

Estuko
Etsuko let her brother attend to Ruki and headed to the living room. Once she reached the room she saw Hikari running up to her then giving her a tight hug. Etsuko hugged back. "Hi!! And yes! I can't wait either. Though I'll probably be checking out the baseball club. Haha can't let my skills go to waste." She said as she stretched. " Come on don't want to be late on the first day!" She took Hikari's hand and headed for the door and when she got outside she looked towards Renjiro and smiled. "Morning!"

Renjiro

"Escorting you two to school?" A low whistle escaped his lips as they would begin their walk off to Kouki's residence. "I am positively terrified at what comes our way then, I might not be able to resist such a combination of shrill cries." And there he would go again, as if narrating thoughts that would be better off kept shut. Then again, this was Hikari, she would hardly be affected by her sibling at this point, years and years of having to deal with his acerbic nature. Case in point, she would start singing while going her merry way. " . . . What a weird song." Yet, the muttering commentary would stand to this day. Her voice would more than make up for it though . . . Renjiro would request lullabies when he was sick for a reason, after all. Headphones resting upon his neck, he would not move them not once, eyes closed as he would accompany a chirping Hikari in silence, a smile upon his lips.

Once reaching their stop on the way to their destination, the older twin ( by a few minutes, even so ) would take a peek inside the house, while his sister and his cousin would exchange their affectionate greetings. No sign of Aya, Ruki, Jenjo or,more importantly, Kouki, lead him to raise an eyebrow as to what could be transpiring inside. Ultimately, he would blame it on either Aya's temper tantrums or Ruki's troubling timidness. The latter would bring about concern from the blonde but it was best to not drive to conclusions. Perhaps they could have already gone off to Kaibara and Kouki was busy with chores or something of the sort. He was pulled away from his reflections at the sound of Etsuko joining him outside of the house, whom he graced with a smirk and a wave of his hand. "'Mornin'. I see you and Hikari go hand in hand on this whole first day enthusiasm thing. Not surprised. Where's everyone else, by the way? Is something wrong with Ruki?" Not remotely in the mood to trigger an argument so early today if Aya were to hear him ask about her, he chose to ask about one of the few Zodiacs he was close with, concern playing a major role here.

Hoshi
The snake smiled, hugging Asahi back. She wasn't one for physical affection, but with a select few people she didn't mind. Asahi was one of he few. She easily found her way to the living room, having visited the house on many occasions before.
"No, I'm fine, thank you. I'm afraid I can't stay for long, but thank you for offering," Hoshi said with a smile, taking a seat on the couch. She admired the decor in the room, focusing mainly on the pictures. She smiles slightly and turned to Asahi as he came into the room.
"Yea, starting my last year, so I'm pretty excited," she said. "But I'm glad I stopped by now, as I was going to stop by Kouki's today and talk to him," she explained, a sad smile on her face. "I'm going to talk to Mikoto about attending university next year. There's this one university in Tokyo that has exactly what I'm looking for. Though I know Mikoto may have an issue with me leaving," Hoshi explained. "So, I don't know if I'll be there when you visit. You're welcome to wait in my place, if you want. Though, with Sakura there, maybe that won't be a good idea. I'm finally getting used to living with her, I think. It's sorta fun cooking for two, though I rarely see her," she said, leaning back slightly on the couch. "So what are you're plans for today?"

Haru
Haru laughed slightly, stretching his back. "Oh, me? Na, I can figure pretty much anything out. In all honesty I was just looking for someone to talk to before my cousins showed up," he explained, watching the students enter the building. He recognized a few students from his class last year, so he waved to those he knew.

Asahi continued merely smiling rather pleasantly, sitting in one of said seats next to the couch. Despite everything that was in the room Asahi was quite focused on Hoishi, as he wanted to make sure he was attentive and could follow what she said. "Uhuh, must be~ I'm sure you are going to do great, just like the other years." He'd respond at the last year comment. Although as he gazed at her for a bit, and listened when he heard the talking to Mikoto, he became instantly a bit concerned. He wasn't sure how Mikoto would take to hearing such news that she had plans to go so far. Although based on what he had heard about Mikoto in general he was sure that Mikoto wouldn't think to well of Hoishi going off to Tokyo of all places for school. "Yeah...Mikoto...hes a hard one.." Asahi merely commented in a much more serious tone now. Asahi knew that he had to make sure that Hoishi could make it into the school she wanted, and he would try as best as he could to make such happen, Even if Mikoto got in the way, Hoishi deserved better than being forced to stay close..If he couldn't attend his first choice university the least he could do help Hoishi he figured. "I'll be on your side, all the way through this ordeal, I promise..." Asahi said in a much more serious and sincere tone, as he looked at her intently. "If you need anything at all, I'll be here..." he merely continued. It seemed a bit odd but soon after that he would switch back to smiling a bit, as if an attempt to break any serious tension which may have formed in the air so to speak. Then upon hearing Sakura's name his face would shift a bit to more so disappointed with a hint of sadness. "Y-yeah...Sakura..I'm not sure what to do about her....Its not like I dislike her or anything at all, I just can't seem to make a connection.. I just want to get along well with everyone in the family really, as unrealistic as it sounds.. " He'd merely comment. Asahi had to find a way to break the downwards spiral this conversation was seeming to go atleast on his end, as he wanted Hoishi's first day to be a good one. "Ah My plans, well I don't have much...I guess I was going to check out the market, do some business deals online. Trade..then come visit the family estate, y'know the usual stuff...Sorry its not that interesting....." Asahi said smiling a bit awkwardly at that moment. Doing the whole "arm/hand behind head thing" well. SteamPoweredSev SteamPoweredSev

Ryou

Ryou gave a smile and wave to both Estuko and Kouki before Kouki disappeared into a room and Estuko ran down stairs. He just smiled and decided to follow Estuko down stairs. For a while he just wondered around down the hall slowly before making his way outside. Outside he saw Estuko with Renjiro and Hikari. He walks over giving wave to Renjiro and Hikari. "Hi guys! I didn't know you guys were coming this way to." he says swaying his backpack side to side.

Aya

Quietly, Aya ate the breakfast that Kouki made for the household. She glanced over at Jenjo once but really didn't pay attention to him after that. As good as the breakfast looked and smelled she didn't eat much of it. She stood and walked to the trash scrapping the food into the trash and placing her plate into the sink. If Kouki saw she hardly ate he might get worried and she really didn't want to deal with that. She made her way out of the kitchen and upstairs to her room. On the way she picked up her uniform that Kouki had cleaned for her.

Inside her room Aya walked around getting herself ready. She didn't have much to begin with in her room. No decoration or anything like that, she just had her bed, dresser of clothes, and a few crates full of books and notebooks. However even with the lack of things it was still hard getting use to the new room and home. Today would make it the second week she had officially moved in. It still shocked her that her father even let her come here, but that is something she could think about later.

Aya changed into her school uniform. She never liked the school uniforms but if she lived with them this long she could wear them a few more years. She then pulled her hair back into a high pony tail and put her black and white ball cap. The hat didn't match her uniform by all means and the students made fun of her for wearing but the hat means something dear to her and she wasn't going to leave it anywhere. She takes it off in school but keeps in close by her at all times. One time in middle school a girl took it to play a little joke. Aya got so ticked off that she punched the little girl in the nose and broke it, so anyone that knows Aya doesn't mess with her cap.

Finally ready for school Aya heads back down stairs. She walks down the hall and knocks on Ruki's door. "Heading to school Kouki. So... bye I guess." she shrugs before grabbing her things and heading outside. Ouside she saw Ryou, Estuko, Hikari, and... Renjo. She let's out a quiet sigh. She did not feel like dealing with him today and decided to walk by hoping the group wouldn't notice her leaving.
