The year is 2044. Is this day and age media will do anything to entertain the public. Thus every year a group of death row inmates is sent to Freedom Island to stake their lives for a chance at freedom and a large sum of cash. These aren't normal death row inmates though, these people can are special, they are the most dangerous of humans. They are the Forsaken.
20 years earlier at a Federal Criminal Institute experiments were performed on the death row inmates. There were using a certain type of virus that would react differently from person to person and give then strange powers. No one person was given the same power from the virus and scientists were astounded. One day however, there was an accident and the entire institute was infected, and the area was quarantined. Some escaped, but the government contained the incident quickly by first installing an electrical field around the area followed by a land mine ridden maze and a glass globe over top of it all. The only way in or out is by helicopter through the top of the globe.
So every year a number of inmates and some that were never inmates, but only got infected by the virus compete for their freedom on freedom island. Freedom island has 4 different zones, the jungle zone, the desert zone, the tundra zone, and mountain zone. The inmates are dropped by helicopter on various spots of the island and must hunt down and kill the other competitors to become the last man standing and win their freedom and 1 million dollars.
