The magic eight ball is broken and in the shop.
Name: Frank Mosley
Age: 40
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: July 2nd, 1976
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 155 Lbs.
Background:
Born in the state of Minnesota, Frank grew up on the banks of Lake Superior in the small town of Grand Marais. The early years of Frank’s life were marked by the early passing of his father Luke Mosley when Frank was seven to an accident at the lumber mill. Frank’s mother Sandy then moved the family to Chicago, and not the nicer side. Frank and his two younger brothers stayed upstairs when Sandy was seeing Johns in the bedroom downstairs. Frank got his high school diploma on a Tuesday morning, and by afternoon he was on a bus north to Great Lake to join the Navy in June of ’94.
A series of solid performance evaluations over the course of his first tour as a gunner’s mate aboard the brand new USS Vela Gulf, CG-72, led to quick advancement to Petty Officer 2nd class. The usual slowdown happened going from PO3-PO2, until 9/11 occurred. After the towers fell, Mosely, smelling the opportunities for advancement, cross-rated to Master at Arms when that rating was expanded greatly. This quickly allowed for promotion to PO1 and a transfer in station to NSA Manama – Bahrain. It was at Manama, in 2007 where Mosely lost his newly earned gold stripes for the haji torture incident. He was extremely thankful to not get busted back to PO3, as could have happened – this time the “interrogation” techniques employed by Mosely actually worked.
Frank spent the rest of his years in the navy moving from one NS to another station every 2-3 years as the service required. He married in 2009, and was divorced fifteen months later. He found his wife sleeping with a jarhead and kicked them out. After the divorce was finalized January 12th, 2011 Frank increased his association with rye whiskey and Texas Hold-em. The long gambling trips, cigarette smoke, extensive sun exposure, and heavy drink have aged Frank’s face to the point that he looks 10 years older than he is. His final naval stop was NAS Brunswick, prior to its closure in 2009.
Retiring after doing his 20 in July ’15, Frank decided to stay in Maine and, leveraging his experience as a Master at Arms, joined the Maine State Police. He has lived in Bangor for the past year, and has been a trooper for the MSP for that duration. Living in Bangor, he is part of Troop E, MSP. He has been used hard chasing down criminals and terrorists. He is tired and worn for a man in his prime years.
Goals:
Frank is now looking to settle down, and find a spouse now that he is out of the service. His is more than a bit of a miser, and is constantly looking to find ways to save a buck or two. In addition to find a spouse, Frank has the long term goal of finding, and “retiring” the drug dealers that got his brother Jesse hooked on heroin. Jesse may now be sober, but Frank has a long memory.
Description:
Forty going on fifty, Frank is heavily tanned and moderately wrinkled from heavy sun and cigarette smoke exposure. He never smoked himself, but the poker halls he frequented as a sailor were thick with it.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
All these years later, Frank has a thick Minnesota accent that he still has not shaken. A quiet and unassuming face hides a keen eye for crime scene reconstructions. He as a rule, does not wear a coat until the snow flies. However, recently, he has started to cheat with hand warmers in his pockets.
