Name: Kael'greus

Alias: Kaelan

Age: Over eighty

Mortal Age: Twenty-eight

Species: Dragon

Mortal Guise: Human

Appearance: Kael'greus, as a dragon, is nine meters in height, and fourteen in length, with an eighteen meter wingspan; a rather average size for any dragon. His scales are a brilliant orange with gold tips, being a rather typical color of the Eastern dragons, the Drekora.

His human guise serves as a representation of these characteristics. His hair is a deep orange, his skin fair and sun-kissed with nearly red eyes, a trait he holds indefinitely between forms. He's rather tall for a human, however, standing at six feet and four inches, a typical height for the elves of the south. There isn't anything particularly unusual about him aside from these things. It appears he has no visible scars, nor any special markings.

Personality: As seems to be custom of his draconic faction, Kaelan--as he is called for the sake of ease-- has an antagonistic personality. He enjoys taunting people and rousing them. He's eager to fight as well. Through and through, he's proof of the crude attitudes that the dragons of the east hold. He has yet to show any sign of other qualities that may be unusual for someone of his background and upbringing.

History: Kael'greus came from a brood of three, and was the only one to survive past "infancy." Within the Drekora traditions, it's typical for the strongest hatchling to outlive their brothers or sisters, if there are any. More often than not, a single born hatchling from one brood is considered a bad omen, and is representation of weakness, as the dragon will have no concept of struggle during it's young years unless it is taught this lesson by elders, a rather deadly practice.

From his survival, Kael'greus rose to join the warriors of the Drekora however, he saw little action outside of training sessions because of his age. Generally, a dragon of two hundred was the youngest to see true combat. Often, there was infighting between the highest ranking Drekora, and even encounters with the Northern "weaklings", the Draekar. Always, at least one dragon fell when they dueled one another and despite the nearly equal casualties between each side, the east always considered their northern brethren to be an oddity for their relatively isolated life.

When the treaty between Hymeria and Dragonkind was made twenty-five years ago, enforced by the Lord Graedagnar of the North, infighting with the Drekora became worse. Being built upon violence and blood, with little way to relieve their aggression, their teeth and claws were turned upon one another. This served as a push to cause the Hymerian's to relinquish the cease-fire, as attempting war with the North could bring the Drekora to an end. Graedagnar, being the last of the three original faction founders, was a force to reckon with. And so, the youngest of the Drekora were chosen in order to cause problems with the capital cities.

Thus came the birth of the human entity "Kaelan", a man now residing with the central-eastern city, Elarria. Among the several warriors chosen to infiltrate Hymeria, he fought his way to be the one who would dismantle the only metropolis through false promises.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_04/brisco_by_tracetincin-d5p28ch.jpg.2124fd4b608df3591a2eb45080d10800.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="116151" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_04/brisco_by_tracetincin-d5p28ch.jpg.2124fd4b608df3591a2eb45080d10800.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Name: Leonie

Nickname:

Age:
23

Species: Half human, half dragon.

Appearance:

Although half dragon, Leonie looks like a perfectly regular human. Her hair is long and dark, surrounding a pretty face adorned with honey colored eyes. Leonie's height is about average for a human, since she's 5 feet and 7 inches tall. Aside from her ability to control and create fire, Leonie does not share any other resemblances to the dragon species.

Personality:

As princess of Elarria, Leonie was raised to be assertive and strong. Although stubborn at times, Leonie is a person with a kind heart. She cares about her people and understands her place as the only elemental princess. Despite knowing and acting upon her responsibilities, Leonie is a free spirit who enjoys adventure, magic and combat training.

History:

Since the treaty was signed between Dragonkind and Hymeria, a tradition was started to ensure peace. The previous ruling princess, Leonie's mother, agreed to marry an elemental dragon from the Drekora clan in an effort to prove both races were able to get along. And so, Leonie was born. Being raised by her mother, Leonie was taught to be caring and respectful. The princess was raised to know that violence is not the answer to conflict and that her Kingdom's well being came before her own. And although Leonie believes this ideology with all her heart, her own people seem to think differently. With the treaty being less than 3 decades old, there are still those who have not been able to move past the pain of war that was left behind. And so, being half dragon, half human, Leonie doesn't isn't always feel welcomed in her own kingdom.

Despite all of this, Leonie has agreed to continue the tradition and marry in the same manner her mother did.

Extra Information:

*Despite being the first half breed, Leonie is quite powerful and trains often to make sure she can protect herself and her kingdom.

*Leonie does not see her father often, but when she does they seem to enjoy each other's company.

*Due to being half breed, Leonie does not have any friends.

*Because there's no one but her father to train her in the mystic arts, Leonie's power can sometimes get out of control.

The sun shone down brightly over Elarrria, and the glistening white towers that comprised the castle stood out over the lower levels of the city, almost looking as though it were a seat for deities. Among the various metropolises, cities, castles and keeps that existed within the world, Ellaria was known for being particularly beautiful. Along the white stone were embellishments of red and gold, symbolizing the union that it held with the fiery dragons of the East, the Drekora. Upon every entrance stood guards adorned in armor with the combined crest of the dragons and Ellarian people, two crossed arrows encircled by a laurel with the head of the Drekoa founder, Lord Yngmar, looking out, carved into the breast of their chest plates and seen on the main flag flowing over the castle, of its highest tower.

The sight was a interesting one to Kaelan. He had only recently arrived with a band of two other dragons, looking particularly deformed in half-assed transformations. Though it was to be expected. They hardly knew what the hell they were doing and had little practice in doing it. Scales sprouted at random across soft skin. Their eyes retained pointed pupils, and were far too large for their sockets. One even had the hint of a tail poking from out of his robe. In a way, they were equally laughable as they were grotesque looking. Kaelan, on the other hand, had been conditioned into this form. The only true feature of his that stood out were the color of his eyes, an intense gold.

The three walked towards the castle entrance, where a small group of soldiers seemed to be straddling the royal family. A smirk tugged at Kaelans lips, as this was possible the most worthless line of defense he'd ever seen. However, the king himself was no ordinary man. Were he to transform, at least one of Kaelan's men could die in the struggle were anything to happen, anyways. Waving the thought from his mind, Kaelan greeted as a human would. He bowed his head, though only to the king. Despite the Drekora looking on the old dragon with contempt, Kaelan would not show signs of submission to a mortal.

Truth be told, the bright and warm sunlight that came over the kingdom was quite the contradiction when compared to the state of Leonie's heart. She wasn't sad or angry by any means. The young princess felt....nervous more than anything. She was slightly familiar with the way of being when it came to the Drekora, after all. Her own father belonged to the same fire dragon clan. It was rare that Leonie had the opportunity to see her father but when she did, the King made his presence be known. Even the people of the kingdom were quite weary of the man. However, with such an intimidating appearance, Leonie couldn't really blame the people. Her father had a muscular built and an aura of entitlement that seemed to magnify around mortals. His honey colored eyes were anything but friendly to people he did not deem worthy of taking up his time.

The Queen, on the other hand, stood calmly on the other side of the princess. The bright sun danced around her mother's face, making her dark brown eyes shine beautifully. Those eyes, unlike her father's, were seemingly kind and wise. Leonie could not help but feel surprised whenever she thought of her mother and father. They were both so different. Her mother, a kind and caring woman that was beloved by her kingdom. Then there was her father, who was a man that did not care much for things that did not involve him. And so, it made perfect sense that Leonie, who was more like her mother than father, would be less than thrilled to meet her future husband. That just happened to be a dragon as well.

Lost in her thoughts, Leonie did not notice the 3 'men' approaching the castle until her father moved forward to greet them. Well, one of them looked like a human. The other two gave the appearance of a failure attempt to become human. And as a result, Leonie could not help but look surprised. Somehow, she had been able to hide her slight fear at the sight of such deformed creatures.

Meanwhile, Leonie's father did not make any effort to greet the younger dragon with anything more than a nod. After all, not only was the old man a king, but also older than Kaelan.

"Welcome to Elarria."

The voice came from the Queen, taking a step forward and next to her husband. Her voice was welcoming, yet also carried an authority that had come with years of ruling. And although she was sure her voice would most likely not get acknowledged, the Queen still had to make herself known. Despite being a mortal, she was still Queen.

"I'm Queen Serenity, this is King Arlo, and Princess Leonie."

The Queen announced firmly, gesturing towards each of the royal family as their name was called. Despite not liking humans any more than other Drekora, King Arlo had always carried a small admiration for the Queen.

Finally, it was Princess Leonie's turn to speak. With a friendly smile, the half breed stepped up and extended her hand for Kaelan to take. If he were to take it, the young dragon would be able to tell how warm her skin felt. Princess Leonie's body temperature had always been a few degrees higher than normal for a human. A side effect of her 'abilities', it would seem.

"My name is Leonie. It's a pleasure."
