Forerunners are humans. Genetically enhanced humans made by humans. Their reason of existence comes all the way back from the days of war. Humans created these men and women as ways to gain the upper hand in battle, and use weapons that would naturally break a normal humans arms with their kickback strength.
Being the perfect humans, Forerunners are immune to toxins, and disease. This is why they were chosen to be in the wars before the time of peace. Along with that, they have extreme durability, super human strength and super human speed. Their speed isn't lightning fast unless amplified by the suits ability enhancing mechanisms. Their also pretty smart and are trained to be able to get out of any situation that puts them in danger. Lung capacity is higher, allowing them to hold their breath for long periods of time.
Forerunners are either created, or born of Forerunner parents.
