Name: Junji Tanaka

Age: 34

Gender:
 Male

Race:
Human, though raised on Trajan Station orbiting Mars.

ID:
Average height, average build. Male of Asian descent. Black hair, green eyes. Often seen simply missing an arm.

Personality Traits:
Junji is a worker, at heart. When he does something, he puts 110% into it, no matter how mundane. This might come off as high stung, but in his line of work that's necessary. One slip up could lead to five families grieving.

And the thing is, most people only see this, because they only see him working. At home, he's completely different. A kind, joyful, loving husband and father. Because he isn't under threat of dying, he can just...be himself.

Medical Record:
Two limbs amputated after injuries sustained during a shipbreaking accident. Left arm above the elbow and right leg below the knee replaced with high grade cybernetic prosthetics. Left eye has also been replaced after original was made blind.

Background:
Junji is what many would call a "Station Rat," i.e. a human that has lived their entire life aboard a space station. As Earth and the colonies grew more crowded, this time of lifestyle grew more and more common. It's not an easy life. Unlike say Earth or even the now terraformed Mars, Station Rats are always just one loose bolt of shoddy welding job away from being launched into the coldness of space. So diligence was ingrained deep into a young Junji.

Already, from a young age, he had a fascination with space ships. Initially, he wanted to enlist in the Navy and become a systems engineer. But when he turned 18, they didn't need any systems engineers. Instead, he found work as a shipbreaker.

Shipbreaking is an essential job. Starships go obsolete fast, often too fast for them to be retrofitted. So scrapping them for resources is what keeps the economy from imploding. But it's also extremely dangerous. The mortality rate for shipbreakers is the highest of any current occupation. The only time it has ever been surpassed is during times of war.

And Junji was damn good at it.

And he loved it. It actually takes more knowledge to break a ship than to fix it. At least if you wanna do the former safely. Though of course, accidentally always happen.

It was common practice that the first thing done while breaking a ship was to flush the fuel lines. Starship fuel can either be extremely combustible, radioactive, or both, so it was best to just pump it into the station. Well, due to mismanagement, the fuel pump hadn't been properly repaired. It was no one's fault on the breaking team when a spark from a cutting laser ignited the fuel.

Junji, just twenty three at the time, woke up two weeks later on the Hermes medical station. He was point blank, and it was a miracle he was even still alive. His hardsuit saved him, really. Though he suffered severe burns, several broken bones. Worst of all, his left arm and right leg were so badly mangled they had to both be amputated, same with his left eye.

He just wanted to die, really. He couldn't afford prosthetics, and with his state there was no doubt the company would let him go.

That's when she came in.

Rebecca Clarke was a young, up and coming lawyer, specializing in worker's rights. She lost her own father to a careless accident in the ship building yards of Titan, so she was all to happy to fight for the rights of a young, wrongfully injured shipbreaking.

As Junji recovered, and the case was fought, they began growing closer and closer. After Rebecca had not only ensured Junji would receive prosthetics and keep his job, the young couple began dating. And dating turned into engagement, and engagement to marriage, and just a year after they welcomed their first child into the universe, Aaron, followed by two more over the next six years.

Reason for visiting Lunaria Station: Junji had been transferred, having his new position as the foreman for Lunaria Station's shipbreaking yard, while his wife is opening her own law firm on the station.
