CHARACTER SIGN UP SHEET
Alright so before you take a look at this, you should have read a ton of the thread. Don’t let this be the first thing you look at and shit, because it’ll confuse you real bad, man. Please go to Rules if you want to join the RP.So. After your long ass journey through the thread you're ready to start working on a character. Fucking sick, congratulations. Give yourself a pat on the back. Well done champ. But the fight's not over yet. In this section, I'm gonna cover the guidelines for creating a character and I'm gonna go over what's expected for your character sheet. It's imperative that you don't skip any of this section. Also, please DO NOT post comments or character sheets in this section.
Please post all Alliance characters in the Alliance of Fire Characters thread
Please post all Legion character in the Legion of Stone Characters thread

1. Make Sure Your Class Is Available
First, send that PM with all your easter eggs in it. Then when I give you the okay come back here. Then head on over to the Reservation Rosters to make sure your character's desired class (or 2nd class if they promote) is available for your team of choice. Remember, you can only join and create characters for one team. You can reserve your class by tagging me over in Announcements. From the second you tag me, you have a week to create your character or characters. Reservations are first come first serve.
Noob Classes are special classes that start off very weak but become very powerful if they can survive. Noobs must take part in three battles before they can promote to a 1st Class. You will notice on the Reservation Rosters that Noob Classes must be reserved alongside 2nd Classes and Non-Promoting Classes. This is because each team is only allowed to have one of each.
2. Character Limit
Each player will be limited to creating four characters. This number may raise in the future, but for now the limit is two. The only exception is plays who make a Transporter. Each team will NEED a Transporter, so players who reserve the Transporter will be able to make that their fifth character if necessary. You must have been a member for at least a year on RPN to make a Transporter.
3. Read The Sheet Expectations
If you've been on RPN for a while, you're probably like, "Tch, homie I've made 1 trillion character sheets, I got this." Don't do that yo. Read the sheet expectations to make life easier on me and you. I'm gonna tell you exactly what ya need to do for your sheet and most importantly your character's stats. Your entrance to the RP will primarily be judged upon how well your sheet is put together. That doesn't mean write me a novel, and that doesn't mean you aren't allowed to make any mistakes. But you will not be an official member of the RP until at least one character is approved by me. So you know, help me help you and read the expectations champ.
Expectations
Okay so now we’re going to get started on your profile. This shit is suuuuuper crucial, so please don't ignore it. I'm gonna walk you through how you gotta fill out each section of your characters' profile and what I'll be expecting from each section.
So, right now I want you to head to the next tab over on this thread. There you're gonna find a link to get the skeleton for your profile. Follow that link, get the skeleton, open a new tab to Alliance of Fire Characters or Legion of Stone Characters (whichever team you're joining) and paste the skeleton into a post on that thread. Got it? Swag. Now read along and fill out your character's profile as you go along.
Name
Character’s name. Super easy. First, Last, Middle if they got one, any nicknames or special titles, etc. etc.
Race
Human, Laguz, Manakete, Branded, or Elf? If the character is a Vampire, put “Vampiric” in front of their race. Check out the Races topic over in General Lore to review information on racial bonuses if your character is a Branded, Elf, or Vampire. You don't have to list them here but it'll come up later, so if you're not making a Human, Laguz, or Manakete, you may wanna keep it open in another tab. Remember. You're only allowed to make one Branded, one Elf, or one Vampire, and if you make a Vampiric Elf or Branded, it counts as both your one Branded/Elf and Vampire.
Appearance
Place your character’s faceclaim right here, or image float it, I don’t give a shit. Then put a short visual description here that at least states their height. This is also where you can put alterations to their faceclaim you want us to be aware of, like maybe you want them to have a different eye color or a different outfit or something. All faceclaims must be drawn images for their appearance pictures, no real people. You can also use this section to talk about what they like to wear, in which case you ARE allowed to use images of real clothes if you so choose. Another stipulation: no faceclaims from Fire Emblem. We want to keep an original vibe going so don't use your FE waifu as a faceclaim please.
Age
Self explanatory. Include their birth day here. Characters get special bonuses during their birth week so don't forget it.
Sex
Also self explanatory but maybe not for some people. I’m looking for a Male or Female answer here. If you so choose, you may elaborate upon this section by adding sexual orientation and/or gender identity, but it’s not necessary. Some skills may be dependent on the sex of the character, so the biological identity is mandatory. Everything else is up to you whether or not you wanna include it.
Country of Origin
Where were they born? Aurhalz, Dinne, Komodo, Glypheim, Malth, Yuba, or Patrium? You can review each kingdom over in Settings and Locations. Don't make your character from anywhere else but these places. And remember, anyone from anywhere can be on any side. Also remember that no one is allowed to have witnessed the rise of The Monolith in Patrium.
Faction
Which faction does your character fight for, the Alliance of Fire or the Legion of Stone? Furthermore, what is their job in their respective battalion, what do they bring to the table? You can review the factions over in... Factions. Remember, you're only allowed to make characters for one Faction, not both.
Personality
This section is also pretty self explanatory, you’ve all done these before in other RPs. This shit doesn’t have to be that long, just like a little paragraph is cool. In fact, most people don't enjoy reading an essay about a character's personality. So definitely don't go overboard in this section and write a novel. Personality is one of those things that is best displayed in RP. Just give us a feel for them here so other players can start planning for relationships.
Backstory
Again, another section that you've done a million times. But this shit needs to be on point. Doesn’t have to be uber long or anything like that, it just has to be accurate in terms of the Lore. That’s the main thing I’m checking for when I look at this section. Lore accuracy. go review that shit starting with History if you need a refresher. And remember, no one is allowed to have witnessed the rise of The Monolith in Patrium.
Yes, the horizontal line appropriately named by bbcode "divide" after this section is totally necessary. It’s meant to separate the biographical stuff from the mechanical stuff in the accordion. I'll talk bbcode in the next section if you're unfamiliar with it. Just trudge on. We're getting to the fun part now.
Class
Alright, I’m gonna be WAY more anal about all the shit in the accordion than the stuff above it. So please be patient with me and yourself. If you aren't familiar with using accordions, it's very simple. If you know how to use an accordion, skip to the next paragraph, everyone else keep reading. For the other sections, we just had the shit floating around. But now, these combat sections on your profile will say something like {slide=Class}. So all the stuff you wanna put into that section will go between the {slide=Class} and the {/slide} followed directly after it. That's how an accordion works. It's pretty simple but hit me up if you need some help.
Everything in the accordion is relevant to combat. I want this shit to be easy to locate, and easy to read, and uniform for maximum swag and copy paste action for when I'm putting all this information into Current Battle.
First step is classes~! You are only allowed to create Noob Class characters and 1st Class characters and Non-Promoting Class characters. Here you're gonna put their class name, the class you want them to promote to, any Attributes their class may have including racial attributes (BRANDED and ELVEN are now official class Attributes), their weapon ranks, and a brief personal description written by yourself on your character's strengths and weaknesses. Ya know, similarly to the way the Class Glossary. For now, the highest weapon rank anyone can have is D. Noob characters can only have an E-Rank. Characters with two weapon disciplines may only have a D-Rank for one weapon type.
Now, the description is pretty important. This isn’t just their class description. What you’re gonna write in this section is a summary made specifically for the character. This description should be used to talk about the character’s strengths and weaknesses in combat, what kind of classes they should be going up against, what kind of classes they should be staying the hell away from, the types of units they should work together with, maybe you’ve figured out a dope strategy to best utilize this character. Take it from someone who wrote over a hundred of these for each class, do this part AFTER you do their Stats and Skills. This is going to help other players who don’t know your character as well get a better feel for them so that they can suggest or recommend strategies and shit. Feel free to update this shit regularly as you learn more about your character.
Stats
Okay so Stats are a bit of a doozy, so take your time and make sure you got everything. It's a LOT less complicated than it used to be so that's certainly something.
So first, lets take a look at Rolling Stats. As you can see in the skeleton, I already included the base stats. Your job now is to add shit to it (or subtract in very very few cases). Take a look at your character's class in the Class Glossary. Each class gets some bonuses for some Rolling Stats. Add them to the Base Stats on the skeleton.
For Noob Classes, don't forget their special Basic Skill Makings of Greatness, which adds 15% to ACC, CRIT, EVA, and LUCK!
Next, you're gonna see your class's Non-Rolling stats as well. Go ahead and replace the zeroes with the values found in the glossary. I don't think I have to say this, but just to be crystal clear, Att=Attack, Def=Defense, so on and so forth. Stats have been drastically scaled up since Chapter 1, so if you're looking at the stats of older characters and thinking to yourself "Why tf are they so weak" it's because the characters' players haven't updated their stats yet.
Alright, now lets customize your character's Stats. Lets start with the Rolling Stats again. Each character is allowed to receive an extra 10% in any of the six Rolling Stats. It's your choice! If you can't decide, you can split that 10% in half, and add it to two different Stats. So that I'm aware of what you've given to your character as a bonus, put a (+10) or (+5) next to the Stat or Stats. If you're making a Transporter, you're making a 2nd Class. 2nd Classes are allowed an extra 20% (instead 10%) in stats of your choice. Again, if you can't decide, simply split the 20% into 5%, 10%, or 15%, and don't forget to put a (+whateverNumber) next to the stat like this: ACC(+10): 110. Make sure you put the (+10) right after the stat name as you see here and not after the actual stat's value. I'm particular about this because numbers that come after the stat, as in ACC: 110 (+10) is how I display temporary buffs in Current Battle and I don't want you guys to get confused.
Next, we're gonna upgrade your character's Non-Rolling Stats! Each character gets 5 stat points that you can distribute across their non-rolling stats however you choose. If you'd like to raise their Movement, it's two points per cell. If you wanna raise their Health, every point you put into Health is worth 5 health points. Once again, if you're making a 2nd Class, then you can distribute 10 points. Please add a (+whateverNumber) for every stat point so I know how you distributed them. For example: Att(+3): 13. Again, make sure you put this after the stat's name, not the stat's value.
Now, if your character isn't a Branded or Elf, then you're done! But if they are, then refer to Races in the General Lore thread.Branded an Elves get a unique boost in Att, Def, Mag, or Res. But they also get a decrease. The choice of what you increase or decrease is up to you. As we've been doing before, you can add a (^) to the Stat you raise. For the Stat you lower, add a (v). If you wish to raise a Stat that you've already raised, add a (^^) to it! And now you're fuckin' done too! Woo!Fuck all this shit. Branded, Elves, and Vampires each have an attribute associated with them now so you're also done. If you wanna check out their Attribute, check it out in Advanced Mechanics.
Skill Loadout
Okay cool. So Skills are WAAAAAY easier than Stats. I hope you've still got that Class Glossary open in another tab because you'll need it. All you have to do is copy and paste the skills from your Class here. Your Skill Loadout is for equipped Skills that you're bringing into battle. You're only allowed to bring in 6, including your Custom Skill (we'll get to that in just a second) So if you've got more than 6 skills, choose them carefully for your Loadout and save the rest for your Skill Bank. That's coming up later. For now, chances are all the skills you have access to will fit in your Loadout.
Speaking of Custom Skills, your Custom Skill cannot be removed from your character's Skill Loadout. As the name implies, it is a Skill that you yourself get to make. It can be whatever so long as it makes sense for the App and isn't OP. Of course, I will be the judge of both those things, and I'll review Custom Skills very carefully. I may ask you to alter them, so be prepared for that. If you like, feel free to run your idea by me beforehand. No worries if I ask you to alter it! It's not easy to tell what is and isn't OP until you're more familiar with how the game works. Your Custom Skill must have a * next to it, like so: Custom Skill*: Passive skill that allows my character to get all the hoes. Your character's Custom Skill will go above the rest of the skills in their loadout.
Inventory
Next we've got Inventory, also super easy. What items does your character have on them? Put 'em in there! You can check out a list of all the items in the Item Glossary in Items & Inventory. Each character is allowed to have two weapons, this includes Shields and Wards. Characters are not allowed to have multiples of the same item.
There are some items I don't want you guys to have right now at all. These Items include weapons above a D-Rank level, any Treasure, the Chains tool, the Elixer medicine, ... and really anything else I say XD It'd take super long for me to list all that shit here. If you're not sure what would be okay to have, feel free to ask me. Or just include it here and if I'm not okay with it, I'll let you know. No big deal. Merchant classes, remember if you have a Cart in your Inventory you get 10 slots, not 5. Make sure you include your weapon ranks, attributes, and perks in the inventory.
Relationships
Next thing we're looking at is Relationships. This one's pretty easy too. As you complete Support Conversations and Side Quests, your Relationships with other characters will improve. List 'em all here. Nothing fancy, just the name of the Character and the rank of the relationship, which you can review in Advanced Mechanics if you forgot. Just like in the skeleton. Please arrange this list in alphabetical order according to first names.
Skill Bank
And fucking finally we've got the Skill Bank. As I mentioned before, the Skill Bank is where all your unequipped Skills outside of the Loadout go. This includes Basic Skills. I've taken the liberty of including all of the standard Basic Skills in the Bank already for you in the skeleton. You need only delete Rescue or Capture depending on whether or not your class is Infantry or Mounted. If this character is a Noob class character, make sure you include Makings of Greatness and if it's a Vampire, make sure you include Consumption. You can copy and paste Consumption from the Races section in General Lore. Basic Skills don't add to your Loadout and can always be used, but everything else in here can't be. Loadouts can only be switched between battles, so again, choose them skills carefully yo.
And that's it for the accordion, and it for the sheet guys. Whew! Good shit getting through that dude. Congratulations. If you need me to clarify something, just hit me up over in the Questions thread. Someone may have the same Question as you so don't be afraid to ask!
Ok, so, due to a weird bbcode issue that doesn't allow code for tabs be put into a code box that is in an actual tab I've gotta move the sheet to another thread entirely. Sorry mates for the inconvenience. You can get your skeleton here. Pick it up and then head on back to Expectations so you can start making your first character.
The issue is a bit of a headache to wrap your head around, so if you think I'm just garbage at bbcode or something, just trust me on this XD
