  • Name: Sike Reika

    Age: 25

    Skills: Hunting and navigation.

Personality: Shy isn’t quite the right word to describe Sike but it’s the closest that fits. Having not spent more time with people than necessary for almost ten years, his communication skills have lost their edge but his hearts in the right place and he’ll pitch into a conversation if someone asks him a question. He has survived as a solo hunter for so long because of his love for the lifestyle and if anyone asks him about it they will see him go from his usual quiet but attentive self to a lively chatterbox as he excitedly describes his passion.

Equipment: the essentials for surviving in the wild for a long time, a compass, improvised writing materials, a bow, quiver and two small bone hunting knives.

Bio: Being born to a nomadic, hunter-gatherer tribe he spent his childhood moving from place to place while using the stars and the knowledge of the landscape to navigate and follow the available food in the area. After learning the basics of hunting from his father, he decided that was his calling and would practice whenever he got the chance, much to the annoyance of his tribe. One day when he was out on a hunt, he stalked his prey much longer than he would have usually, his focus on the activity pushing his parents warning of the tribes schedule to move on completely from his mind. People had been left behind in the past, a necessary evil to keep the group alive, but he had never expected to be left himself and was genuinely surprised to find the campsite empty when he returned.

His parents had left behind a bundle of equipment for him to ensure that he wasn’t stranded with no ways to fend for himself and he took it, using the skills he had developed for hunting to catch up to his tribe. Surprisingly, he actually enjoyed the journey, even when he was set upon by bandits or tracked by the mutations he enjoyed the suspense and adventure of it. By the time he managed to re-join his people, he was already addicted to his life on the road and it wasn’t long before he left the group for good to forge a path for himself and he spent almost ten years living out on his own from then, solving problems as he went and trusting his skills to keep him alive.

His life changed, however, when he met a young girl who was lost and on her own, she told him she had been separated from the caravan of people heading to one of the large cities: to sanctuary. Not able to leave her on her own, he agreed to escort her back to the caravan and upon arriving decided that he would see them all to their destination, out of a sense of duty and encouraged on by his curiousity.

Name: Liana Kane

Age: 24

Skills: Hunter; specializes in hunting mutated animals that cause travelers or small towns problems.

Personality: Liana may look reserved but she is far from it, especially when she is with those she is familiar with. When she is dealing with the hunt it's like a switch goes turns off and she turns serious.

Appearance:

1564364875318.png

(replace the metal with leather.)

Equipment:Bow/arrows, small hidden dagger, rope, and hunting sword. Sack of water and small amount of rations.

Bio: Liana comes from a long line of hunters. Her family are nomadic people who travel with others as their protectors. They would protect the caravan from any creatures that would try to harm it, for a fee of course. Since a young age Liana had been trained to use multiple different weapons, from a bow to a dagger. Do to the fact that her family never stayed in one place for long, or one even one caravan for that matter, Liana didn't have many friends growing up. It wasn't until she was 16 and left her parents that she actually started making friends (usually other hunters). Being alone allowed her to choose when to leave different caravans and/or towns and protect new ones, that is for a fee of course. When Liana heard that a caravan was being let into one of cities she immediately went to see if they needed her services. Normally she asks for trade-able items like weapons, along with food, but with this caravan she offered her protection for free as long as she was allowed to go into the city. After all she might not be alive the next time the city opens its' gates.

Other: Her friends usually consist of other hunters who she had met on her travels.

Name: Ellie Sviatoslavovna Mel'nikova

Age: 26

profession: engineer/sometimes scrapper/

Skills: she is one of the few left with old-world engineering knowledge, specifically venturing into high radiation zones and coming out with valuables/stopping reactors from overheating and destroying towns, etc. she has *some* knowledge of how guns work but is much better with engines, reactors, vehicles. has limited combat skill using melee, but is very proficient with small arms, like sidearms and SMGs, can't be bothered to lug around snipers of machine guns, prefers to use the space for scrap electronics and tools. good at keeping a low profile as some for superstitious towns have driven her out because of her technological knowledge for being a witch/sorcerer.

Personality: usually quiet but in dangerous situations, she takes the lead and is quick on her feet, but otherwise if she is given a choice to be in a leadership position she will turn it down, disliking the responsibility. she finds it hard to talk to people a lot of the time but when she starts to talk about engineering she can go on for a very long time.

Appearance:

9f370e4bbe74d050c13a279339a1a096.jpg

Equipment: m21b gas mask. around 4 pounds of gun parts(none of them fit together)/scrap electronics.around two hours worth of gasmask canisters. a protective leather coat. a large lug wrench with a rail spike welded to the end of it (primitive melee weapon), her toolkit and some lockpicks.

Bio: from a young age she always gravitated towards the useless tech that littered the floors of her world, the small town library of svetloyarsk, Russia. she spent most of her early years in there, playing with the scrap metals, her parents picked up on this quickly and on her tenth birthday gave her the few unruined books on engineering they had left. (due to her being brought up in a library she could read, a very useful skill when looting). 7 years later her town was raided by bandits who lined up everyone with even the slightest mutations, told them they weren't human and shot them like animals. even though they told Ellie she was mutated, (the test they used wasn't scientific it was entirely based on mysticism.) they didn't kill her, instead, they took her with them because they decided her engineering skills would be helpful. as their slave, they took her on a journey lasting at least a year, she lost track of time thanks to the constant mistreatment she got at their hands. eventually, they arrived at a settlement bordering the barren deserts and luscious mutated jungles. she stayed on there for 4 years, being constantly mistreated and treated as less than human because she was *mutant*. over those four years, she continued to hone her engineering skills, patching up their generators for them whenever they needed it. every time she was let off work she went to the old scrapyard about a kilometer into the desert and did her best to salvage what she could for her eventual escape. they let her do this because on all but one side the camp was surrounded by severe radiation zones. she managed to find and fix a toolkits worth of tools, and a lockpicking kit, sadly most other things in the scrapyard were beyond repair. once she gleaned all the hidden gems from the scrapyard she began to sneak through the town when the slavers where asleep, stealing supplies she assumed she would need for the long journey to the closest safe settlement, and hid it in the scrapyard. after a long year and a lifetimes worth of close calls, she was finally close to her goal, she had mapped out the surrounding area, had enough supplies for around a month in the desert, now all she needed was a way to brave the radiation. she snuck into the armory one night, the final place on her hit list, and the most well guarded. she got in just fine, found a gas mask and kit, along with many cartridges for it and took a primitive club, on her way out she was spotted though, and the slavers raised the alarm. after a hectic chase, she reached the scrapyard, took her things, slipped on the gasmask and ran for it. leaving behind her old life. surviving in the desert was a struggle, but she took up odd jobs, and help treat radiation sickness where she found it by fixing whatever caused the radiation leak. this gave her the status of a miracle healer in some places and a witch in others. eventually, she got tired of living in the wasteland and decided to go with a caravan into one of the larger cities, hoping to find a purpose there.

Bio: As far back as she would like to remember, the people she left the village with had always been apart of her life. Her parents were raiders who, despite being who they were, took somewhat good care of her meaning she did not starve. Most of her childhood was spent with closed eyes as she turned a blind eye to the things her parents did. Life in the desert had been harsh, harsh enough for her parents to do the things she wish they did not have to. Stealing, killing, she had seen it all, enough for a lifetime, things a child should not have to be exposed to. She accepted this as the norm while her parents did these terrible things yet could not let go of the sliver of hope that there was something more than this and it did not take long to get her answer. At age six, her parents abandoned her after an ambush the raiders had walked into orchestrated by two neighboring settlements, while half the raiders had been killed or captured, her parents managed to escape. They told her to hide in a cave while they checked to see if it was safe. Three days later after the villages had stopped looking for them, she realized they were not coming back. She wandered the desert for days feeding on and drinking what she could until she was picked up by two healers. They took her to their home and raised nursed her back to health. After the loss of their own child, they raised her as their own.
