FE: Crusade Enchiridion

Fire Emblem: Crusade
Enchiridion

The Enchiridion is a magical book carried by the mysterious traveler, and apparent merchant, Anna. It records every information revealed to and discovered by Anna and her fated comrades, thus making it act both as a beastiary and an ever-growing book of knowledge that they can all use. However, once Anna leaves the group, or is felled in battle, then the Enchiridion disappears and is lost forever, only to be remade in a different realm.

Or at least that was what it says in the fine print of its first page.

Character Supports
Page 2

Like in the game series, the support mechanic is also in this story. However, it is done in a different approach.

Support levels provide bonuses when the appropriate units are within a close distance to each other, along with an additional skill or ability that would be unlocked through support levels. Of course, support levels will also affect character endings and pairings, which would vary based on the level attained by a character and their partner/s.

Child units will not exist, but characters are able to conceive child. This feature is only unlocked at the highest support level, and would require several attempts based on chance through a random number generator or with the use of dice rolls. Once a character has conceived a child, they are unable to participate in combat for the entirety of the story, or until they have given birth to their child/ren.

Support conversations occur at varying times - some may be done whilst in combat, provided the two are grouped up together, but most will be happening outside of combat, during idle times. During idle times, several characters may be paired up to one another to engage in conversations and interactions which would raise their support level. Of course, obtaining a higher support level may require more conversations and interactions compared to the previous one.

The support levels, from lowest to highest, are D, C, B, A, and S.
