Music Favorite Video Game Soundtracks?

I really liked Halo 3DST's soundtrack, as far as the halo games go, they've all got decent soundtracks, but this one is easily the best. I'll list a few favs as well.


First up is Overture, which lives up to its name extremely well.

Second up is The Menagerie, similar in style to Overture.

Finally I've got Skyline. It starts off a bit slow, but really picks up in the middle and hits you with a nice guitar at the end, my favorite of the soundtrack. :]

Also, I saw that someone put up Ace Combat Zero, and also picked my favorite from it, so I'll just go ahead and throw in a couple of favorites from Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War.


First up is Rendezvous, pretty fast-paced and pretty fitting for a good ol' fashioned dogfight in the skies.

Next up is Ice Cage, one part tense, one part graceful, and all around smooth.

Finally we've got the song holding the game's namesake, The Unsung War. Handsdown one of the best dramatic pieces I've heard in a while.

When it comes to Video Game OSTs, I would have to say that, by and far, my favorite soundtrack of all time is from Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I'm a HUGE fan of cyberpunk and this dark, ambient soundtrack scratches the itch that all cyberpunks like me have for music. It's so dystopian and processed.

I have so many I love, it's hard to pick a favorite...


Ace Combat always has awesome soundtracks, even when the game isn't all that great. Assault Horizon, I'm looking at you. I always find myself coming back to those soundtracks. Really some addicting music right there.


Nier's soundtrack is another great one.


Then there's Xenoblade Chronicles. Awesome music for an awesome game.


The Xenosaga Trilogy also has some great tracks on that note.


For some classics: Earthbound, Yoshi's Island, the first Shin Megami Tensei, and let's also throw Pokemon into the mix as well.


Lastly, Okami. Such a beautiful soundtrack, for a game with one of the most unique art styles that fits the whole Japanese theme so well.

I really love the Halo 2 OST, they have some really great pieces on the first disk. As well with the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts franchise, they always blow my mind with their music. I've been actually looking around for some new soundtracks, and I've been listening to Jet Set Radio, and Bayonetta.
