Mighty paws tore at the damp, spring grass. The massive figure barreled through the forest like death on paws, Crushing small trees and leaving massive paw prints in his wake. Axel pushed himself from the clearing trees, His mighty form was that of a wolf, but the size of a grizzly bear. His fur darker then a night without stars. This massive wolf stood 3'7, and looked to weigh hundreds of pounds. He scanned the area, before sniffing the air. A familiar scent made his massive ears twitch before moving forward, and staring at a cluster of trees before him. Axel's eyes were intent and undaunted as he waited for something... But what?
Ellie stood at the tree line, her normal icy blue eyes black as coal then she was gone. She was no longer in the trees, yet behind the massive wolf that had been watching the area she was at. Quickly the shadows around the wolf morphed into similar wolves with glowing crimson eyes. They growled, yet it was distorted, deeper and almost like a gargling noise. One of the shadow wolves charged Axel in which he reacted by lifting his massive paw and slamming it into the wolf, causing the shadow to vanish under his heavy paw. Another wolf charged, this time catching Axel off guard and causing him to stumble before opening his maw wide and biting into where the wolf's head would be, causing the shadow to vanish. Ellie clapped lightly, causing Axel's ears to flick and twitch inattentively before the massive wolf turned toward the small brunette girl. Yet the wolf did not attack the young woman instead laid beside her in which he leaned her back against him, pressing herself into his warm, silky black fur.
