Dr. Roman and Da Vinci sat in front of the CHALDEAS system, watching as the sphere's color remained a stable blue. "To think, only a year has passed since Solomon was stopped." Roman quipped, followed by a huge sip of his wine. Nodding, Da Vinci couldn't help but agree; "It's hard to think humanity was completely doomed. Everything is relatively peaceful nowadays; I almost have the urge to just leave this room and never feel the need to come back." She stated. "Now, you know we can't do that," The fervent doctor hastily replied. "Just because one catastrophic event was stopped, doesn't mean another can't occur. But the more time between then and now, the better for our staff and Masters."

The two friends knew that constant surveillance of CHALDEAS wasn't really necessary now that humanity's end was reversed; but since the troubling times of the grand orders, it had become more of a habit than anything else to just watch the glowing copy of Earth within. "Well, once again, this was relaxing." Da Vinci happily said, standing up from her seat. "But I feel I should get back to my laboratory; when I'm away for too long, it's like a bad itch." She exclaimed with a chuckle. "Understood; go do whatever you need to. I'll call if CHALDEAS' condition changes." Dr. Roman sighed.

The renowned inventor took no more than a step out of the room before Romani noticed the smallest inconsistency appear in the sphere. One little orange dot in the UK, appearing and growing slowly. Suddenly, another one appears, over in Japan this time, also steadily growing. "Da Vinci!" Dr. Roman shouted back to her; nearly screeching her name. "What; what's going on!?" She inquired, running right toward the distraught doctor. She too, was shocked to see the orange spots keeping popping out of nowhere onto the CHALDEAS' model of Earth. Confused, Da Vinci grabbed the doctor's shoulder, "Orange? I've never seen this color before; what does it mean?" Panicking more than the inventor, Romani shouted, "I'm not sure! But you and I both know that this is not a good sign! I'm going to get everything ready; we're rayshifting masters as soon as possible."

Complying with the doctor's orders, Da Vinci went straight to the alarm system to signal all of the available masters or their servants. Humanity was in trouble so soon after the last cataclysm, and had to be prevented once more.

Nestled away in his room, a young man slumbered away, laying in a rather disheveled manner over his sheets as he tossed and turned to some unseen dream. Lucas Cross had been enjoying a brief nap that had ended up being a bit longer than he'd expected it to after he had forgotten to set an alarm, but with how quiet things had been around here lately... There'd been no need. At least, not until now.

"HURAGH-!" The young man cries out in an undignified manner as the blaring alarm tears his fragile dreamscape into pieces, ejecting him rather suddenly into the waking world. He flails for a moment, fighting against his sheets before he manages to toss them off of his body and into a sad heap upon the floor while his head darts around wildly, eyes wide. "W-what? What time is it?" Lucas asks, before he realizes what it is that woke him up. "The base alarm? What the hell-?" He cuts himself off there, shaking his head. Now wasn't the time to question things. Pushing himself off the bed, he quickly gets dressed in his uniform, taking barely a moment to fix his messy black hair before he's out in the hallways. "Archer?" He calls out, both physically and across the mental link they share. "Where are you?"

Archer
"Aaahhh... This is always wonderful." Archer lightly moaned in heavenly bliss as she stretched out her tanned legs under the warm bath water. This time period was truly wonderful; so many comforts, so many amazing people and things, and best of all so much to still explore and experience! Despite the personal conflicts she had in coming to terms with how her life had ended, she was still thankful for everything that she had been gifted with... including her hothead and stubborn Master. "I hope he's not still sleeping." the bathing Servant mumbled to herself. Everyone in CHALDEAS had gotten so lackadaisical lately; it was starting to worry her how little she was actually doing. Her older brother from her living life had once told her "He that will not work shall not eat" after all!

Archer reluctantly climbed out of the small tub she had been lounging in and began drying herself off in the small bathing room. All of this was unnecessary of course; a Servant didn't need to eat, clean themselves, or even remain corporal in the world, let alone bathe... but it was nice... it made her feel like she was still alive. Plus it kept her from becoming too lazy or complacent; she wasn't a particularly powerful Servant and hadn't actually done anything grand yet... but that was no excuse to fall into slothfulness! She was a Heroic Spirit now! A guardian and protector for all of mankind! Somehow she was gifted this new purpose and responsibility. It still surprised her that the Great Spirit and God had believed her worthy of it. She had failed in her living life after all...

As Archer was half-way done drying her hair and pondering whether she was ready to watch the (apparently very famous) movie about her, that Lucas told her about; when the base alarm sounded. The blaring sound instantly causing Archer to change into her "war clothing." The war-shirt, breech cloth, and shawl appearing on her in sparkling lights of blue, green, and purple. She nearly summoned her bow, but stopped herself and took a calming breath. She had no idea what was happening, however there was no reason to panic or make rash assumptions. It could be a test of the alarm system, and even if it was an emergency the leadership of CHALDEAS was unlikely to send her and Lucas out... there were simply more powerful Servants and more skilled Masters (much to her own Master's displeasure.)

Hearing the voice of her Master though their shared mental link, Archer smiled softly at her Master's slightly panicked voice... the alarm probably had woken him up from napping. "I'm currently bathing Master, but don't worry I'll spirit over right away!" She hoped her teasing tone translated across the mental link; she was half tempted to truly appear before him naked; the look on his face would likely be incredibly humorous... but she was a lady and that would have been... what was the word her female England friends had used? Unbecoming...? Yes that was it! She had gotten slapped on the wrist several times for her pranks on the Priests and Ladies of England before... however she always knew she had truly taken a prank too far when they used that phrase "Unbecoming of a Lady" they wouldn't talk to her for days after they said that.

Archer dematerialized into her spiritual body and quickly found her Master through their shared magical pathway. In the walkways of CHALDEAS with disheveled clothes and halfway messy hair her Master's slightly unkempt appearance told her that he had in fact been sleeping. She materialized behind him, "Servant Archer has answered your summons Master." She moved into a well practiced curtsy and smiled up at her Master playfully... strange her hair was still a little wet. She had thought the dematerialization would have taken care of that... guess not.

The alarm roused her from her thoughtless staring. Artoria Pendragon was leaning against the wall of her Masters room. Cheldea had been quiet and boring for the past couple days, and she was beginning to feel that the constant peace was wearing her patience thin. She adjusted under her heavy black armor, moving away from the wall and trying to clear her thoughts. Her black dress billowed out from under her breast plate and the thick plates running down the length off her legs.

Her master was not what she had expected, but she had come to terms with him. He was strong enough to be a worthy master and she respected him for that, at the very least. She hadn't been under his command for long, but he didn't seem the type who would kneel to others ideals. She understood from Dr. Roman that it wasn't the first time he had summoned a Saber class, but she knew it was the first time they had met. The blaring red light of the emergency system giving her more reason to speak. Her heart seemed to tighten in her chest, hoping that whatever Dr. Roman and Da Vinci needed would lead to another battle.

It had felt like far to long since she had last used Excalibur Morgan in anything other then training. Not just her, but other servants seemed to be growing complacent in their responsibilities. Fewer and fewer visited the training rooms, or asked to spar anymore. She wanted nothing more then to feel the thrill of battle once more, and she did find herself occasionally materializing her black sword just to hold it and remember the weight. She only hoped her master had a similar outlook on the situation. Her pale gold eyes narrowed as she smirked at her master.

“Something on your mind, Master?”

Lucas' panic was quickly replaced by a much more abashed sort of embarrassment as Archer's calm and simple reply brought him back down to earth. He let out a huff, glancing off to the side with a bit of flush on his cheeks and scratched at his chin. "R-right..." he said out loud needlessly. "No, wait! Take your time!" Lucas added, this time over their mental link. Archer had been quick to modernize when she was first summoned, taking to all of the amenities offered with great pleasure. He almost felt like he was spoiling her sometimes, but he always reasoned that it was well deserved with their work at Chaldea, and he did his best to provide her all her desired stuffed animals and bath... stuff. Things he never really used anyways.

It'd been a bit of a surprise to him when she was first summoned that she wore so little though, and apparently had little regard to privacy, despite what those 'noble ladies' in London had taught her. There'd been enough evidence for him to truly worry for a moment that she might truly show up before him abandoning her bath mid-way. The man flinched for a second as his Servant materialized in front of him, eyes twitching as he readied to shut them tight... Only to see that Archer was fully dressed, and smiling as if she had just played a joke on him. The faint scent of flowers hit his nose, and he noticed her hair was still wet.

In response, Lucas let out a flustered huff, turning his face away from her so he wouldn't have to see her smiling at him like that. "Well mannered as always..." he said sarcastically, taking a moment to fix himself up now that he was a bit calmer and had noticed the mess he was in. His uniform was all twisted up, some buttons were left unbuttoned, and his black hair was a tangled mess, almost looking like a bird's nest. Fixing these discrepancies, he quickly adjusts his clothing, pulls at his hair, wincing painfully all the while, until it sat in a more uniform mop atop his head, and wiped the sleep from his bleary gray eyes. "Looks like we were both interrupted while we were in the middle of something... Let's go and see what Dr. Roman has to say about forcing us both out like this, huh?"

Archer
Archer giggled at her Master's sarcastic (but still flustered) response and flushed cheeks; quite pleased with her minor jest and his bashful reaction. Lucas was secretly a very kind and sweet person; although he did his best to never show it. The playful Servant ended her fun as Lucas fixed his disheveled appearance. Adopting a slightly more serious tone she replied to Lucas's suggestion “Of course Master; hopefully it's nothing too serious...although it would be a shame if it was too boring as well wouldn't it?” While it was true that she loved adventure and excitement, the end of peaceful days certainly wasn't worth fulfilling her shallow desires. Additionally her Master was still inexperience when it came to battle and the darker horrors that stalked the world. What she truly wanted was for that inexperience to never change; however she knew that was likely an impossible wish.

As the pair quickly walked towards the location of Dr. Roman, Archer lost herself in thought. The other Masters and Servants would likely be gathering as well. She sighed to herself in slight despair at the troubling thought. While her Master was quite kind with her... he had issues with some (if not all) of the other Masters. She understood Lucas simply wanted to be respected and acknowledged by the other mages... but he often just came off as grumpy and rude for no apparent reason. It was one of the drawbacks of a peaceful Chaldea; her Master simply didn't have any opportunity to prove himself to his fellow mages, and it clearly bothered him.

Glancing at her Master from the corner of eyes she softly asked, “Master... please lets try and get along with everyone... Ok?” She hated seeing her Master struggle with the other mages in Chaldea; his stubborn pride and past grudges always kept him from making friends and allies. Archer had made it one of her personnel goals to try and heal her Master's self-inflicted divide with the other mages. However, she knew that the topic was a sore subject with him; and she hadn't brought up his obvious insecurities with his peers until now. She wasn't sure what his response would be to her request...

Jun's head was filled to the brim with memories of the Grail War. It had only been a year ago, yet he still recalled everything that had happened as if it were yesterday. He had received a strange mark on his hand. Then he made his way to London where a strange orb and other odd items were placed inside his hotel room. From there he summoned his partner and ally, Saber. Although she had a true name which blazed across time itself, he would always fondly remember her as Saber. They had fought with the other six Masters and Servants and won many battles. It all culminated in the destruction of the Holy Grail itself. Jun simply couldn't allow such a repulsive and destructive entity to exist. So he used his remaining command seals to give Saber the power to obliterate the Grail.

In the following year, he simply performed freelance work to keep busy. The Grail was his one ticket to power. Power which could have been used to help people. After having his dreams shattered and destroyed, Jun was lost. Until Dr Romani had contacted him about working at Chaldea. Jun had heard whispers that something big had happened there. Deciding to check it out, Jun was amazed. He and Roman had sat down and he was asked to become a Master again. The stories about him and Saber seemed to have made headlines here. Feeling like he may find purpose here, Jun agreed. Summoning a new Servant, Jun was contracted to another Saber. This Saber was garbed in dark armor and carried a demonic sword.

When the alarm started blaring, Jun was pulled from his reverie. Getting up, Jun donned his dark coat and pulled his NEW BAGGY on, it was a one strap. He had lost his previous Baggy to a Lancer and her Master in the Grail War. "Saber, let's move out" said Jun as he walked out into the hall. Walking down the hall, Jun was ready for action...

Skorl woke up with another headache; one of the few symptoms he has to live with, ever since his magic circuit surgery. "Ugh, geez, where'd I put that aspirin." He wondered, rubbing his eyes to get adjusted to the room's light level. He ultimately regretted it slightly, when he found that Raikou was to the side of his bed; she had a sweet smile on her face. "R-Raikou? What are you doing in here?!" Skorl demanded, covering himself with the bed covers. Blushing, his Berserker servant replied, "I came in earlier to check up on you. Can't rest not knowing about the current state of my Master." Raikou handed Skorl his bottle of aspirin she held onto this whole time; taking the bottle, the pink haired Master inquired how long she'd been here. "I believe it's been about 6 hours now." She answered, not hiding her feelings with her facial expression. 'Ugh, a Berserker like Darius or Lu Bu would never act like this.' Skorl whispered softly. "Look, Raikou; I appreciate the sentiment and all, but neglecting your own rest is not good for you. How can you help others if you don't help yourself? No matter how strong you are, it'd all be for naught if your body is hungry or tired." He berated the tall servant. "I'm sorry, Master." Raikou apologized, grabbing Skorl's head and pulling him in for a hug.

The hug didn't last more than a moment when the alarms sounded, "Ugh, more noise to exacerbate this headache." Skorl complained, trying to free himself from Raikou's warm hold on him. Gasping, Raikou spoke, "Come on, Master; this is no time for hugs." she 'scolded' the confused Skorl. "You have to get dressed and meet up with Dr Roman." As she let his head go. "I realize that!" He hastily stated. "But I do need to get dressed in my appropriate clothing first." Raikou tilted her head, unsure of his intent with that sentence. "Well, I'm not stopping you, get dressed; I can wait." She explained, not realizing her Master wanted privacy for changing. But, this was something Skorl had come to expect from Raikou, so he usually has no choice but to just go along with it. This was no exception.

Her question seemed to have fallen on deaf ears, as he master had continued his stupor, staring at the distant wall. Her smirk quickly faded into a frown at the lack of response. After a pregnant moment, her master stood, dressed and ordered her to move out. She watched him walk past her and out of his room. She huffed, before following suit, following behind her master, keeping just a few steps behind him.

If he didn't want to talk, she wasn't going to force him, but there was no reason to ignore her. A servant with a master who was unprepared or unwilling was like a shackle. She could see a dutiful action to his step, a willingness to continue, but she knew that humans were prone to bouts of confidence they didn't truly feel. It took a deep well of strength to face danger and stare it down when any small mistake or slip could spell death. She tore her focus from her troubled master, looking down at the pristine white flooring of the Cheldea complex. She craned her head around, looking for any of the other masters and servants, curious to how many had replied to the call and to get her thoughts away from her master. Again, the complacent attitudes of far to many other servants that the turnout would be less then satisfactory. She stared at her masters back, not finding anything concrete to distract herself with.

“Master, are you well enough for combat? If you're not feeling ready, perhaps you should stay behind.” She found herself to speak up, whether to kill the silence between them or spite for his ignoring her earlier question, it didn't matter. Her concern was real. A master who wouldn't be able to hold their own in combat would be just be baggage. Weakness of the heart vexed her more then anything else could ever hope to. The betrayals of her knights were fueled by a weakness of the heart, and gave her a dire stance in return.

Sighing, Jun patted his Sabers head. It was an odd quirk that developed when he saw her golden locks for the first time. He simply had to pet that hair of hers. Seems she was worried about his mental state. Which was probably something she should worry about. However Jun reassured her that as he was new to Chaldea, he simply had a lot to think about. Then he rubbed her head again. Continuing his walk to find the source of the alarm, Jun took note of the technology and magecraft Chaldea used. It was simply next level. However, considering Chaldea specialized in time travel, things like that were to be expected. What Jun didn't get was why everything was either white or blue. Seriously those two colors can start to hurt the eyes after a while.

Once again Saber spoke up, she was worried about him again. Jun told her he'd be fine. In fact, he's needed some action for a while now. His tools are in dire need of use. As soon as they were alone, with no cameras or familiars watching in the elevator. Jun called her by her true name, Artoria. He had figured out who his Servant was when he saw that sword. Even in a darkened state, Excalibur was Excalibur. Jun patted Artorias head and told her that he was ready to fight. While he may have doubts about his purpose, his last Saber had taught him to have an eternally strong heart. They soon arrived at their destination. Jun walked over to Da Vinci and Romani. They seemed panicked for some reason...

"I suppose it's better for the world that we remain bored, huh? It'd be a shame to lose my daily afternoon nap." Lucas casually says back as the two of them make their way down the hallways of Chaldea, putting a little bit of urgency in their steps at least, even as they talked. There was an alarm going on after all. Having known each other for a while now, it was perhaps unsurprising when Lucas said that Archer knew him pretty well, but sometimes... He felt like his Servant had a better grasp on him than she would admit casually. It bothered him, just a little. She was certainly caring, and there wasn't any other Servant that Lucas would ever wish for, but... He sometimes felt like Archer was coddling him. Her pranks and jokes, their everyday conversations, the everyday routines the two of them shared... Archer was kind, and he cared for her just as much as she cared for him, but perhaps she cared just a little too much. He couldn't simply stay as he was forever, and he'd joined Chaldea for a reason after all.

"Are you saying I'm hard to get along with or something?" Lucas asks her with a frown. "It's not my fault some maguses are so uptight and haughty about everything." He crosses his arms, almost petulantly. Still, for her to ask of him something like this? Archer made requests of him often, mostly in regards to her comfort, and very rarely she'd egg him on about his health and bad habits, but she hadn't made a request like this before. "Look, I promise I won't pick any fights with the other Masters, as long as they're not just asking for it, okay?" Lucas concedes to his Servant, sounding rather half-hearted about the whole thing. Archer could be a little annoying sometimes, but perhaps he wouldn't hate it if things remained the way they were either. His promise to Archer was quickly tested, however, as they found Romani and Da Vinci, as along with the command staff of Chaldea, there were two other individuals there... Jun Hyuga and his servant, Saber.

Saber was... Well, to put it simply, the woman was intimidating. Not the largest, or tallest Servant around, and honestly by all standards, a rather petite looking woman, she still could manage to scare the everliving hell out of Lucas. Her casual gaze seemed more like a cold glare that was more than capable of stopping Lucas dead in his tracks, and he couldn't help but feel like she was always judging people... and more often than not found them wanting. When encountering her, Lucas simply did his best to not look too worried, and move on without angering her, thus keeping their encounters relatively brief, and usually localized in the cafeteria area.

Jun, on the otherhand, was a magus. Not surprising, but there were a few Masters around that had little to nothing to do with magecraft and maguses. The man was a number of things, but most of those things just pissed Lucas off. A skilled Magus from an older family, Lucas hadn't immediately recognized his name when they'd first met, but considering his Asian heritage, Lucas wasn't particularly surprised by that. The fame of his name didn't matter, what did was his gifts. Jun was also aloof, and didn't seem to speak very often, and combined with a few rumors floating around Chaldea, Jun was certainly someone Lucas disliked a bit on instinct. It didn't help either that his skills had some overlap with Lucas' own, and by many regards, Jun could be said to be the better one in a comparison.

He opened his mouth to say... something, but he remembered his promise to Archer not a few moments earlier, and quickly shut his mouth before he said anything he might end up regretting (more due to the lecture Archer was liable to give him than finding his own comment regrettable). He took a moment to think of other things he could say, and found that little of it was kind. So instead he turned towards Saber. "Hey, er... How's... it going?" Lucas' words almost seemed to wither in his mouth as he realized that attempting to speak to a Servant that scared the daylights out of him was a lot harder than he had first imagined. "I, uh... The alarm... didn't catch you guys off guard too, did it?" He glances towards Dr. Romani and Da Vinci, hoping for an explanation or something to free him from his self-caused suffering.

Assassin
Assassin materialized abruptly to the sound of the alarm. She wondered what the commotion was about when she was just thinking about getting some breakfast for her Master and herself. Of course, no Servant, unless improperly manifested, needed to eat, but it was one of her guilty pleasures in being summoned. Also that she wanted to destroy all Sabers, but food takes precedence above all.

She walks toward the canteen but decides to wake up her Master first. After all, the alert was for Masters. She walked to his room and materialized inside. She leaned over his bed and tried to wake him up with a repetitive...

"Master, time to wake up..."

"Master! Come on; we can't be late. I don't want you to get in trouble!" Raikou shouted, practically dragging Skorl by the collar of his jacket. "Mmf, I know." Her master agreed, with his mouth full of food. The overbearing Berserker had made sure that her Master ate something before replying to the alarm; yet, her forceful pulling made it rather difficult to do so. Even now, Skorl found himself nearly choking along the way. 'Geez, she's really takes hastiness to a new level.' Skorl thought, having finished the last bites of his sandwich. Looking back, he noticed his gaze lock with Raikou's; she immediately blushed and turned her head. Sighing, he thought, 'Ugh; a Berserker like Lancelot wouldn't act this way.' Once again, jokingly comparing Raikou to a more mindless Servant of her class. Her heeled sandals clicked loudly against the linoleum floors, solidified her seriousness in this matter, however.

"Sorry we're late!" Raikou apologized, bursting into the CHALDEAS room. "This guy was taking too long." She explained, pulling the exasperated Skorl to his feet. "I was not-" The speechless master tried to explain himself. "I just wanted a bite to eat, is all." Chuckling, Raikou patted Skorl's head, "You know that's not true, Master." Their vast difference in height, combined with their conversation signaling a less than usual Master/Servant relationship, made for a strange first impression. 'Help.' Skorl quietly worded to the other masters and servants as Raikou pulled him in front of herself. "Raikou, enigmatic as ever." Da Vinci called from over by Dr Roman.

Jun had patted her head three times at this point, giving way to her dead panning at him. Had it been anyone else, she would have slapped their hand away at minimum, but currently she found herself just staring him in the face. He mumbled that he was fine, causing her stare to shift away from him. Maybe she had misread his situation or his body language. Either way, a strong sense of purpose seemed to be radiating from him as he turned away from her and entered the rayshifter's massive atrium. She followed into the room but chose to allow him to continue on his own towards Dr. Romani and Da Vinci.

After a second of concentrating on her masters form, she realized her hands were balled tightly into fists,, she could feel her knuckles strain under her own strength. She loosened them but left them as fists by her side. Before she could enter a stupor of her own or decide to follow her master, someone else spoke to her. She wheeled around to focus on the speaker.

“Ah, Archers master. Lucas, correct?” She gave him a moment to nod before she answered his questions. “Your concern is noted, but unnecessary. This situation is a welcome distraction from this fallacious peace; I am a servant, I stand always ready.”

She caught herself giving a faint smile, on her other self, it would have been reassuring. On her it was a cruel mockery of camaraderie.”What of yourself, mage? Have you and Archer steeled your resolve?” The way she said mage made it seem like she was forcing it out over another, less kind word. She remembered seeing him a few times around the base, usually quickly vanishing from her gaze as if he was trying to avoid her. If he was afraid of her, he was to willing to show it, a horrible disgrace of weakness. As for Archer, she could place a face, but little else.

Was she really that out of touch with those around her?

Archer
Archer frowned at her Master's irritated response to her request. As she had expected and feared, Lucas had quickly become defensive; if not outright offended by her plead. What had been a pleasant walk was now filled with a tense atmosphere between the two partners as they continued down the corridors of Chaldea. Archer glanced again at her Master from the corner of her eyes; his arms were crossed and his face had lost the natural ease and softness that he usually wore when the two were alone. She had been worried that he was truly upset with her when thankfully, Lucas agreed to not pick fights with the other Masters. Albeit he spoke his agreement as if she was nothing but an annoying mother that could be quieted with a half-hearted acknowledgment of her words.

Archer only nodded in response at her Master words as they reached their destination; swallowing down her own slight irritation at her Master's almost bratty behavior. Her eyes immediately went to CHALDEAS as the pair entered the room. Small orange spots were on several locations around the globe. Her eyes widen at the sight. As benign and harmless as the little orange dots seemed on the massive glowing blue orb... it was very concerning when one took into account that this was a miniature replication of the world itself. Leaving her Master's side, Archer walked closer to CHALDEAS trying to make sense of what the possible cause could be.

Her contemplation was soon broken as Berserker and her Master burst into the room. Those two were always a strange whirlwind of activity wherever they went. Smiling at the unusual duo, Archer took notice of how few people were actually here despite the emergency alarm going off. The only other Master/Servant pair was Saber and her Master. The Master of Saber was over by Madam Da Vinci and Dr. Roman, while the powerful dark knight herself was talking with Lucas.... wait what!? Archer went into “casual stealth mode” which only consisted of placing herself near the gathering location of Dr. Roman and sneakily keeping a close watch on her Master and the... now smiling Saber!?

Archer felt a surge of jealously and anger at the sight; emotions she hadn't felt this strongly since her living life. She had told Lucas to talk to other Masters... Not pretty female Servants! Archer's only interaction with the dark and undeniably beautiful knight had been limited to polite causal greetings as the two had passed each other in the hallways of Chaldeas a few times. However, Archer knew that Saber was one of the “top tier” Servants... far and above “better” and more powerful than herself. Archer tried to control the glare she knew she was directing towards the pair... she understood that she was being unreasonably childish... but Lucas had never done this before...

When Archer had first been summoned she had been very confused as to why she had been deemed worthy of being a Heroic Spirit. When she first saw Lucas; real or imagined, in her own mind... she only saw disappointment across his face... and why wouldn't he be? Instead of a legendary and powerful knight like Saber, he had gotten some random Tribal girl... She briefly wondered if he had the ability to trade her for another Servant, if he would. The answer quickly came to her as an obvious yes. Her father had deemed her worth less than weapons, her first husband hadn't even complained about her kidnapping, the Church and Mage's Association hadn't even bother to help stop her death. Lucas wanted to prove himself to the other mages; summoning and controlling an impressive Servant was a reflection on a mage's abilities and capabilities... and she was not an impressive Servant. Perhaps soon he would feel that she wouldn't be able to help him in his goal... and that someone better would be needed...

She turned her gaze away from the chatting pair and focused on Dr. Roman and Madam Da Vinci. Her relationship and insecurities problems could be dealt with later... more important things were currently taking place. She was a Heroic Spirit and guardian to all mankind before anything else... even if others were stronger than her, she would do all she could to protect everyone.

The alarm roused her from her calligraphy, causing the calligraphy brush to veer off from its destination. Tokugawa Ieyasu stared down at the rice paper, her dull red eyes slowly closing in frustration. She slowly rose from her seat, taking a calming breath and stretching her legs and waist, sore muscles crying out from hours of sitting still. She materialized her armor, the golden kimono she had been wearing replaced with her thin Yukinoshita Do armor and Jinbaori coat. Crescent Moon, the katana given to her by the wife of that bald rat, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, appeared in the cloth belt around her waist, its familiar weight bringing a small smile across her thin lips. It was one of the five swords forged under the heaves, one of the greatest swords ever made. Unfortunately, it didn't have the power it should have, an annoying facet of her irregular summoning.

Tokugawa removed herself from her room, stepping into the halls of Cheldea , and choosing to take her time to arrive at the rayshifter. She wouldn't get anything extra out of being there first, and unlike the other servants, she had no master. She was Avenger. She was an extra tool to the grail, torn from the root to fulfill a goal. Ensure victory, a simple enough goal, but a rather vague one. She grit her teeth, unhappy with the current state of affairs in her life. She was supposed to be a ruler, and it was only the gross want of the grail that she was now something wholly unnatural. Avenger; the word burned in her mind like a hot poker fresh from the fireplace. She was grateful that she didn't seem to suffer the same near-madness that Avengers typically lived with.

She shook her head, lightly slapping herself on both cheeks before consigning herself to her duty. She pressed on, entering the rayshifters atrium just moments after Berserker and his master arrived. She let out a weak sigh, looking at the few masters and Servants gathered there. Saber, Archer, Berserker and their respective masters. They didn't seem to notice she had entered, choosing to use it as a cover to slyly slide in like she had been there all along. She slid a few feet behind Saber and a master, choosing to stand rather close to a short female servant with tan skin. She silently wished she had spent more time trying to getting to know the others at the base rather then hiding in her room for the whole two days she had been sent to Chaldea.

“So, why are we staring at the gloomy knight and the other guy?” She whispered, looking at Saber and Lucas, a finger absently twirling a few strands of hair around itself.

Archer
Archer jumped slightly in surprise at the whispered words spoken unnervingly close to her. Had she been so absorbed in her Master's strange interaction with Saber that she had let someone get this close to her without noticing? She scolded herself for losing awareness in her surroundings, but quickly calmed her angry and jealously to focused on her new companion. It was a woman of Asian descent, taller than her with deep red eyes, wearing strange armor and a rather pretty coat. While Archer didn't know the names or makes of the armor or coat she guessed that this was a Servant of Japanese descent based on the little she knew of the culture. The sword she did know... at least the type, a katana. Most striking however was the powerful presence the woman seemed to be gifted with; this Servant had clearly been a powerful warrior and leader in life.

"Oh! Ummm, the man is my Master... I was just curious what Saber was discussing with him... both are actually quite gloomy most of the time." Archer wasn't familiar with the social customs of the Far East, bowing was the proper greeting she believed, however she wasn't well practiced in it, so she defaulted to her signature curtsy and hoped it wouldn't be taken in offense. "Greetings! I'm Servant Archer, I also go by the name Rebecca if you prefer. May I have your title or name as well? I hope I do not offend in saying your dress and weapon are quite beautiful! I haven't come across their like before." Archer smiled up at her fellow Servant, happy for the distraction from her Master and eager to possibly make a new friend (from an entirely different culture no less!) While the woman seemed to be a warrior (Samurai was the name?); with her absent minded hair twirling and rather easy going manner of speech, Archer judge the woman to be friendly and without any ill or unusual intentions.... something that sadly couldn't be said for some of the other Servants... strange she couldn't recall seeing this Servant around Chaldea.

Tokugawa smiled at herself, proud that she had caused the smaller servant to jump and become momentarily flustered. They quickly recovered though, and gave a quick explanation as to her obvious people watching. She shared in the other servants rapid glances around each others forms, not sizing her up, simply getting a feel for her. Short, with simple clothing that was elegant in it's own right. She suppressed the urge to extend a hand and feel the fabric between her fingers. What took her by surprise was the well practiced curtsy that suddenly came out of nowhere. Tokugawa was used to the motion from the Dutch traders who had once visited her homeland. What surprised her was the courtesy, she had simply expected a simple greeting.

She let Rebecca finish her introduction, a warm smile on her elegant features. Once Rebecca was finished, Tokugawa met the curtsy with a proper bow; back straight, hands following the outside of her thighs, and bending forward to a 45 degree angle. Her smile vanished only for the few seconds it took for to bow, before quickly finding its way back to her face.

“I am Tokugawa Ieyasu, The Daimyo of the Tokugawa and Shogun of all of Japan. I-um-I am Avenger.” For another second her smile faded, replaced with a slight frown at the word Avenger, but she quickly recovered one more. She suddenly broke her stance, sliding a foot back and pointing both of her hands at Archer, each hand shaped into finger guns. “But you can call me Toko.” She beamed at her new acquaintance, excited to finally be out of the utility closest she had called a home and talking to someone, especially someone who seemed so nice. In her excitement she forgot that she was talking to someone who didn't know traditional Japanese terms.

“Oh, my clothes are a little flashy, huh? This is my jinbaori coat, the little jacket I wear on the outside of my armor." She crossed her arms, tugging on the vest like coat and pulling it taunt against where it ended at her mid-thigh. She turned around to show a silver inlaid symbol of three leaves in a circle pointing their stubby tips at the center. “And this is the symbol of my Clan, the Tokugawa. And my armor is actually pretty normal. We samurai were kind of a colorful lot.”

“And my sword is called Crescent Moon. Or Mikadzuki. Let's just say it has a lot of history to it.." Her smile waned for a second but just as quickly returned before she changed the subject as she realized that she was getting to excited about showing off her armor and katana, almost like a kid. Or maybe she was trying to hide her own jealousy of Archer having a Master. "But this is all mundane compared to you. Those symbols on your body, what do they mean?" Tokugawa was unabashed in pointing at the inside of Rebecca's thighs, her fingers but a scant few inches away from Rebecca's skin. "If you don't mind, of course. I've never met someone so colorful in their body rather then their clothing. Or, would you rather I go find out what those two are talking about?" She jerked her hand at Saber and Lucas, her thumb jutting out imposingly at the two.

Dr Roman ripped his gaze from CHALDEAS; he had information to relay to the Masters and Servants that responded to the alarm. To his luck, they were busy chatting it up with each other, having lovely conversations; unaware of the scale of this predicament. "I almost feel guilty making these kids go through this." He told Da Vinci, as she turned off the alarm. "We can't forget that they have lives, too. Sometimes, I wonder if they regret joining Chaldea." Instead of being completely reassuring, she had an inclination to agree with Romani. "I can see what you mean; they're young and deserve a more normal life, is what you mean." She restated, and Dr Roman nodded. "You can't forget Roman, many of these kids haven't even had the normal lives before joining. Pardon my blunt way of saying this, but Chaldea might be better than what was before, for some of them. Not to mention that they knew what they were getting into; they're heroes in the making, and that road isn't easy." Dr Roman didn't find Leonardo's use of the word heroes as appropriate; personally, he felt that "protector" or "savior" would fit Chaldea's Masters and staff better.

The flush doctor greeted the participants, "I apologize for interrupting your conversations; as well as the rude awakening some of you might've had." Per his personality, Roman tried to make the situation more easy to digest. "If I could have your attention brought to CHALDEAS," he held out his hand and ushered to the large device, with a small earth in the middle. Said planet was currently an odd pattern of color; while much of it was the standard blue, there were many orange spots all over the continents, and steadily growing. "Thankfully, it is obvious what is the issue here." Da Vinci declared. "These areas of non-blue signify some phenomena, or the like, appearing all over the globe. It almost looks like a disease, really." She added that last bit of detail needlessly, much to the doctor's chagrin.

"Agh, thank you, Leonardo." Dr Roman stated. "While I'm sure other available Masters are not yet here, I really can't put this off. Whatever is causing the shift in color is not normal and poses a threat to humanity, especially when in so many areas." He hastily explained.

Jun was leaning against a wall and listening in on the things around him. It would seem they were all a disorganized lot. So they were supposed to save the world? Jun couldn't see that happening as he walked over to drill Romani on what was going on. Upon seeing the orb designated CHALDEAS, he was astonished at its functions. Then that astonishment was replaced with dread. Jun knew that this was going to be a lot of work to sort out. However with this lot of weirdos, it would take forever. So Jun asked for leadership. Normally this wasn't something Jun would do. He was a Mage Killer, an assassin. He preferred going alone into enemy territory. However the circumstances call for Jun to take the lead. Looking at Saber, he told her that this was something he had to do. Jun calmly and concisely pointed out to his Servant, Dr Romani and Da Vinci the reasons why he was suitable to lead by pointing out his experience. Not only had he hunted and defeated top tier mages, he had won a Holy Grail War.

Then he started preparing, it would be a while before they'd be able to restock. Jun needed EVERYTHING. So with Saber in tow, he began assembling some of his tools. First were his grenades, we have some that disorient, some that kill and some that make you vomit your eyes out. Then onto things like his rifles and submachine guns. Finally things like his blades and launchers. Strapped to his wrist, inside his sleeve was his mini harpoon launcher. In his hand was a retractable sword he made to replace the knife he lost to a Berserker. It had an adjustable length and the blade folded in on itself. Finally Jun picked some of his magic tools, which were few in number. Jun only needed a few of those. Everything was loaded into Baggy, which then went back on Jun's back. Then he went back to the others and sat down, waiting for them to suit up or whatever.

Archer
Archer paid careful attention to who she now knew as Tokugawa Ieyasu's bow. Greetings were extremely important in every culture and could mean the difference between a friend and an enemy. The act of bowing looked simpler than curtseying; however Archer suspected the hand placement, poster, angle, and how far down the bow went were all important elements to the seeming simple body movement. Archer continued to smile happily as Tokugawa introduced herself, the proud manner of it reminding her of greetings done by high ranking War Chiefs of her land, and the King's Guard of England. Archer didn't know what the words Daimyo and Shogun meant; she assumed they were titles for Japanese leaders or warriors. The titles certainly seem important though, perhaps Tokugawa was royalty or a high ranking "Knight" or Samurai in this case? Interestingly the taller woman had said she was the "Daimyo of the Tokugawa", did that mean Tokugawa was the Tribe name? And if so perhaps that meant she had been the Weroansqua of her Tribe and "Shogun of Japan" was similar to a Mamanatowick? She wasn't sure but made a mental note to learn Tokugawa's land's warrior and royalty system in the future.

Rebecca's smile almost fell from her face at learning of Tokugawa's Avenger class... the Heroic Spirits of Vengeance, said to bear great hatred and madness... However her smile widened and she let out a small giggle at "Toko's" charming stance and provided nickname; apparently there was an exception to every rule and this charismatic woman was one of them. With wide sparkling red eyes (huh they shared the same rare eye color!) Rebecca eagerly soaked in the all the information she was being provided by (who she considered) her new found friend. She was especially interested in the fact that Toko came from a Clan; it was similar system to her own land's Tribes. Although no Tribes in her land had such pretty markings and symbols to represent themselves on clothing. Her sword Mikadzuki was beautiful and almost graceful in shape as well; Rebecca was a little disappointed at Toko's sudden stop in what had been her enthusiastic showing of her colorful clothing and elegant weapon.

Her smile slightly fell at Toko's questioning of her body's tribal markings. "Those are denoting my ranking as a Kwiocosuk, people trained in magic, and also my advancement in learning my Tribe's magic. Another part was added to the symbols for each different magic I was able to master." The symbols had made her an outsider to her own Tribe, especially since the large number at such a young age had scared some people. Everyone respected the Tribe's Shamans... but few people wanted to befriend them. She had always blamed the tattoos for not allowing her to have a single friend her own age as a child. She felt her smile completely leave her face at the depressing memories, but she was able to make it return (although perhaps less brightly) at spotting the last symbol she earned, "Except for this one up top." Rebecca gently took hold of Toko's pointing hand and guided it upwards until the index finger was hovering just above a symbol in the shape of a Christian cross, proudly saying "That one I came up with myself when I was taught by the Catholic Church!" That tattoo had been the only one that was her choice to have colored into her skin. It was also the only one that hadn't made her cry when she was having it carved into her. "I much prefer colorful clothing over these however."

Archer was surprised at Toko's offering to find out what her Master and Saber were talking about... she did want to know. However before she could make a decision, Dr. Roman began gathering all the Servants and Masters in the room. Rebecca smiled up at her new friend, "Come, my Master can continue having fun with Saber if he's enjoying her company so much." She grabbed Toko's larger hand and gently pulled her over towards the assembling group of Servants and Masters. Hmph! Her new friend was far more pretty and interesting than that gloomy Saber!

'Master...' Whispered a seductive blonde with her oversized bust pressed against John's arm. The soft balloons put a beam of joy acrossed his face and when he was about to reply; another blonde pressed her average-sized bust against his other arm and cheerfully exclaimed, 'Master!' He felt as if he was the luckiest man in the world with two gorgeous ladies on his arms.

"Ladies your affection makes my heart jump for joy, are either of you up for a drink?" he suggested to both of them. When either one replied he did not hear any words but instead saw the world flash red. Taken aback back by the sudden abnormality, he smiles pleasantly. "I'm sorry I was distracted for a moment can I hear you say Yes again?"

"Master, time to wake up." They both said in unison and the world flashed a shade of red. Now giving the ladies a blank stare, John started to realize he was in a dream. The two ladies repeated the same words a few times and unison to his servant attempts to wake him. He dropped his head and thought 'All good things come to an end...' and opened his eyes to see his pretty blonde servant standing over his bed.

"Good morning, Assassin. What's all the commotion about?" John sluggishly said and wiped the crud out of his eyes. Reluctantly and slowly did John slide out his comfortable bed that back into him to stay. Shirtless and in his Chadea's trousers, John drag his feet towards his dresser and shoveled through a few drawers to find a matching pair of socks and an undershirt. "Assassin, I appreciate you." John come commented after he was finished dressing himself.

"I'm going to smoke before we head anywhere, are you with me?" John asked with a slight smile, already grabbing an E-Cig from his coat pocket.

Oh great, she knew his name. Wonderful. Lucas swallowed nervously as he found himself trapped in a conversation with Saber. Her smile sent shivers down his spine, and her words sent his hairs on end. He'd normally be rather upset with the sort of tone she was giving him, but, well... He was smart enough to know that it'd do him no good to get upset with her. He quickly cleared his throat, hoping to brush aside the nervousness settling in his gut and project at least some sense of confidence. "Yes... Archer and I are ready for anything. I've been waiting for a while now for a chance to do something finally." He was telling the truth, but he paused and thought back to his conversation with Archer only a few moments earlier. "But... Ah... I mean, I suppose it's our goal to keep peace, so... Being bored isn't too bad either. It means no one is in harm's way, right?"

Dammit, where was Archer anyways? He needed her to butt in with her usual cheery self and draw attention away from him. He turned his head to the side, eyes surveying the others gathered... She was just standing there!? What!? Dammit, Archer! No, wait, she was speaking to someone else now. Another Servant? Not one he'd seen before, either. Traitorous swine! Abandoning him in his time of need! Skorl and Berserker's arrival, combined with Dr. Romani and Da Vinci's announcement to begin their briefing was enough to save Lucas from his personal hell, however, and he quickly adjusted himself to pay attention to them, noting as Archer ran off with her new friend. Well, at least someone was having a good time.

The duo's brief was, well... brief. There wasn't much information on what exactly was going on, and Lucas mentioned as much. "Ah... Well, I mean, I'm sure most of us know how the observation system works, but... Do we know anything else other than that? We can see where these, uh... anomalies are popping up, but... When are they? And do we know who or what could be causing this? Is it really so bad that we need to rayshift now?" It wasn't that Lucas was afraid to go, rather, more information would be nice... Better to go in having some idea of what you're going up against.

Of course Jun had to speak up, requesting to place himself as leader before walking off to prepare... or something. "Does it really have to be him...?" Lucas protested quietly, but still loud enough to be heard. Jun had a point saying he was the most experienced, but... The man was hardly a 'people person'. What was the point of a team leader if the leader was liable to just run off and try to do everything himself? "I know we're kind of short on options here, but... I mean... Do we really need a leader like this? There's two of us here, not including the Servants. Maybe a couple others catch up before we go. I'll volunteer for it if we need one."

Unfortunately, Roman had little in the way additional info when Lucas addressed such. "I'm sorry, but there's not much I can go off of here. What, or why is immediately out of the question. The only possible link Da Vinci came up with before you guys came in is the locations; they seem to match up with the home countries of Masters, but those of known Holy Grail wars." Dr Roman pulled up a display in the air, showing off locale names; pictures of Masters from the areas were displayed underneath each one. "It doesn't seem like very helpful information right now." Da Vinci figured, observing the doctor's display. "All of these countries, at differing dates; there's even overlapping anomalies for places where the coordinates are the same, but the dates are not. It just boggles my mind, especially no detectable singularities have been created."

"Which would imply that these anomalies are slow in their progression, despite being within the timeline. Either that, or the damage they're causing is negligible enough that no temporal disruptions can occur." Roman continued. "Alas, as much as I'd like the latter to be the case, the expanding areas on CHALDEAS suggest otherwise." Raikou rested her chin on Skorl's head as the briefing went on; unsure whether she was listening, Skorl made a mental note to go over what has been revealed with his Servant again later. "While that's interesting and all, you said areas of known Grail War participant masters have these anomalies. That gives me the impression this might happen to those of the future as well."

"Correct," Roman agreed, bringing up another magic display showing masters yet to come; rather, their countries anyway. "This is the whole timeline being affected. It's similar to when King Solomon's grails created the singularities, at different points of history. So we can only assume that this is indeed done by an intelligence somewhere." Having the list disappear, Roman gave a hefty sigh, "That's all the info we have; trying to zoom in on the affected times has proven fruitless, so physical reconnaissance is of upmost necessity." "I like the sound of that term." Raikou quipped, showing off her friendliness with the doctor. "Ultimately, we just don't enough potential Rayshifters to reach every single anomaly." Leonardo added, disregarding the Berserker's comment. "At the most, we'd only be able to send one pair per anomaly; but with so many left over, not to mention it's much more dangerous dealing with each one solo, it wouldn't matter. We'll have to send all of you to one date, just to find out what is going on. It's the safest way, since efficiency is pretty much out the window here." "Yes, now make sure to relay this briefing to anyone who hasn't made it here yet. The sooner we have more masters and servants helping, the sooner we can get back to not ripping our hair out." Roman stated, somewhat depressingly. "Oh, and no talk of leaders or followers; we're all in this together. There's no need for any more stress involved with potentially poorly matched leadership." Da Vinci declared with a smile. "Make your preparations; rayshifting starts in half an hour."

Assassin
Assassin gave her Master a little shrug. He was probably having a dream about other Servants that satisfy his terrible woman-lust. She wondered what else he did while he was alone and away from her. She realized she did not want to know.

"It's fine by me, Master, but you should really eat first. They have good food in the morning."

She started to walk towards the door, thinking of all the food that she would be sinking her teeth into. She drooled just a little bit. Then she remembered something.

"Oh, Master, I forgot. The doctor said something about an emergency or something. You should go see them."
