This is where you will come to learn about Magic systems you've encountered. As well as what job titles are and their function in the world. basically, anything that doesn't fall under Creatures or Villages will be found here.

World Factions

Major Powers: (more to be added)

  • Chaos Order: The order is one that has been around since the previous era. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that the order controls the world from the shadows. Not much is known about what the original objective of the order was. But in the current era, The order is in divided as difference in ideals clash. Everyone withing the order has different views of what the order's future should be. The current members of the Order tend to abuse their positions of power.

  • Scion of Light: The Scion are group of former Chaos order elders who have gathered their followers and separated from the Order, asserting themselves as a new faction. The Scions of Light follow closely to the belief that the former Order elders were taught. Which is that all life must be watched over and protected. The members of this faction are all largely unknown as they merely want to remain as people. And not have others make them out to be like the Order but with different beliefs. However, Scions do have the same level of influence as people of the Order.

  • Eisen Camp: Sachiko Eisendrache's raise to being a third major power is on small feat. Not to mention that even before this no one aside maybe her closest companions knew of her. The motive behind Eisen's reasoning for raising to such a place of power is just as hidden as her past and many other things. Needless to say, Eisen camp is the weakest of the three powers in influence. But should you attack you may just find yourself biting off more than one can chew. In terms of strength, Eisen Camp has the strongest military might. Which isn't a surprise when Eisen has powerful allies under her command.

Lesser powers: (more to be added)

  • Freedom Association:  Put in RPG terms, an adventurers guild.  A where people from all walks of life gather and take on requests from villages, towns, kingdoms and individuals.  Which is all regulated by the Association.  Adventurers are considered to be truly free as they aren't made to be loyal to any country and are free to travel the world as they please provided they follow the rules of the Association and laws of wherever they are at.

  • Bandits:  Certain groups are secretly backed by influential people and thus some some level of influence as well.  These specific groups are hard to touch due to their connections and even if a member of one is arrested for whatever reason, they either are released or given light sentences.

Magic Systems and Mana

Mana. The normally invisible force said to dwell within all that exists. Normally such a thing would be pushed aside as "scientifically unrealistic". But it is in fact a reality and is the source of which all magic originates and returns to. Magic casting put simply, is the act of connecting one's self to the world and borrowing its power. Letting the mana flow into your body, gathering it at your core and willing it into existence. Mana itself cannot been seen normally unless one is channeling mana into their eyes.

Types of Casting:

  • Voiceless Casting: A rarely seen form of spell casting that takes years of practice to achieve. One must have a powerful cognitive ability to "image" are able to attempt training. As a single error, or a burst of strong emotion could easily make spells go wild. Those who can use this method to spell cast are said to not only be Masters of magic. But they are also the ones who bring about change to the world. The number of Voiceless casts in the current era can be counted on a single hand.

  • Shortened Casting: The most popular method of casting spells. Unlike Voiceless casting where a strong mental image of the intended spell is needed. For Shortened casting, One only needs training to familiarize one's self with the incantations. While Voiceless casters are seen as more skillful then shortened caster, this is not true. There are recorded instances of Shortened casters beating Voiceless casters in battle.

  • Basic Casting: The most common method of releasing spells. While this is the slowest of the three methods, But basic casting is the most reliable as it is less likely for the spell to backfire or go awry.

Known Systems:

  • Red Magic (Fire)
  • White Magic (Holy)
  • Blue Magic (Water)
  • Black Magic (Death)
  • Green Magic (Earthen)
  • Cyan Magic (Air)
  • Gold Magic (Lightning)
  • Non-Elemental (An term used for any magic that can't be associated with an element)

Speculated Systems that may have existed in the past:

  • Spacial magic (warps reality)
  • Time Magic (manipulates the floe of time)
  • Justice Magic (magic that effects everyone who carries some form of guilt)

System affinities. Basically, which system of magic are you most attuned to. Normally, Everyone who is born has an affinity with one of the systems. Though, there have also been rare cases of people affinities with two systems and even more rare are those with the "Non-specific" affinity. What it means is you have no affinity with any system and thus normally have to train much harder then other. There is one exception... those with the title of Cursed ones. Beings born with abnormal souls. Abnormal in this case meaning your body holds more than just your own soul within it.

Mana tools and Artifacts

Mana Tool Categories:

  • Lifestyle Tools
  • battle Aid Tools
  • Living Tools

Mana Tools range widely in usage. Such as tools existing for everyday needs. Such as tools that kept your clothes clean no matter what. Or tools to aid farming in various ways.  all the way to battle oriented tools that provide some kind of aid in a fight. Naturally that includes such things the grant a buff in some fashion. Living Tools are like normal... except it possesses a consciousness and will.

Artifacts:

Now we come to Artifacts. What are they? What do they do? And whatever other questions you may have. But asking that would be pointless. No one knows where Artifacts come from or how they are made. They just spontaneously appear around the world randomly. As for what they do... It depends on the user. Artifacts seem to adjust themselves to the owner's will. So what an artifact can do is based on the person wielding it. One thing that IS known however, is that Artifacts disappear from the world if the owner dies without passing it one to someone and that only Ten Artifacts ever appear/exist in the world at any given era.

Job Titles and Functionality

Titles... what are they? Do they do anything? Or is it just a meaningless decoration? Well rest assured, Titles do in fact hold meaning within this world. Speaking broadly, there are limitless Titles. As for what titles actually... it depends on the title. Some are obvious and do exactly as the title says. But there are some out there whose function isn't obvious and there are even  some titles out there that are considered bad! Anyways, Titles are predetermined at birth and can never be changed. That's not to say that your birth title can't be overwritten with a new one. When this occurrence happens, you will feel sick, feverish and could very likely die if your body isn't in good heath. But afterwords, those who survive can hold their heads high at having acquired a unique Title.

List of Known Titles:

  • Cursed One: Typically a person whose body holds more than just their own soul. As you'd guess from reading the title name. This title specifically refers to those born with a second soul inside their body. This second soul can quite literally belong to anything. Such as a person, beast.. ect. Very often those holding this title are either feared or treated harshly depending on what kind of soul dwells within. Its unknown as to why this era refers to these people as cursed when texts of the previous era called these people Sages.

  • Gaia's Beloved Child: A title only a person with Green affinity has a chance of having. While the title makes Gaia out to be a god, this is not the case. Gaia was a girl born in a unknown era. The stories told to children can all be summarized to say that Gaia came to loved by the planet itself for her caring nature towards all life. She treated plants, animals and other races as all the same. None's life was less than another's in her eyes. So what does this title mean? The planet itself will protect you.

  • Deathlord's Bride: This title has a bit of history as well. holders of this title have caught the eyes of that which lords over death, Deathlords. Deathlords are the beings said to watch over all of death's domain. this title can be both a blessing and curse. A blessing because holding this title means one can borrow and call upon the powers of a deathlord. But a curse because doing so also means you become less human until eventually your nothing more than a beautifully preserved undead. By that time, the deathlords will come to claim what is theirs.

  • One who longs for Family:  While this title is quite sad, it has rarely been seen. It's recorded appearances are only two.  The title sounds sad but it is in fact a rather cruel one.  As it calls to any who harbor a longing for family in their hearts and plants artificial feeling that slowly bloom within a person until they can no longer ever go against the title holder.  Seeing the holder as truly family with a bond stronger that those of actual families and isn't limited by race.

  • Dragon Caller:  A title of old that allowed one to call the aid of dragons. The last person to hold this title was the Dragon Sage. A woman who was the closest to dragons and lived with them. However, ever since a certain period. The title is no longer obtainable, probably having so connection to the slowly disappearing dragons.

  • Great Sage:  The title which imbues the holder with the knowledge of the world.  Holders of this title are usually treated with scorn as they refuse to reveal most secrets of the world.  Thus to avoid this, holders of this title will either hide it, seclude themselves away somewhere they can't be found. Or they simply choose to die so as to not carry the burden.
