Fantasy Extra-Dimensional Traveler's Club

Vanya

The world was weird and creepy. She wasn't afraid of spiders, but one of her major nightmares was giant radioactive spiders attacking the world,"This place is creepy. Also, boys try to stay away from the female spiders, if they mate with you and finish they will eat your head. Also, since this is an alternate reality, wouldn't this reality have the same club?"Vanya looked around as she looked at her own relic, trying to figure out what it could do.

Bryn

Bryn followed Scarlet and Avery without a care in the world. He actually stopped listening somewhat to the conversation, all he retained was the spider world or whatever. As Bryn look around as the weird spider people a question formed in his head,"Should we hide or something, because we are normal and they are spiders, or they are normal and we are the weird ones."Bryn questioned as he played with his hair and shirt. His attention turned to Sesler as he activated what he guessed is his relic,"Woah! How did you do that,Sesler right?"

"It must be different depending on the relic. Mine was simply a flick of a switch."

He had to admit, the armor looked a bit badass in his eyes.

"And yeah, it's Sesler."

He'd notice that the watch was underneath the metal, a sliding port over where the interface used to be. Putting a bit of force on the upraised port, the metal would slide down, the rest of the plates folding over one another before reentering the undercarriage of the watch.

"When telling time isn't enough, goddamn armor is available."

Spiders....Big Spiders....Everywhere.

She watched in silent, now behind the backs of Sesler and Bryn. At least when they do pounce, they would have to take the both of them, first. This dimension was rather incomprehensible to her. How did the spiders gain intelligence ? And how did they even know that the spiders are friendly ? She pretty sure she wouldn't just stand there and stare if there is a group of giant human sized spider in the hall way.

They're probably as scared as we are.

Maybe.

She bit her lip abit too hard, causing the lip to bleed. And an immediate feeling shot up her mind, its as though this act was a mistake. A sudden panic shot up herself, making a fool of her as she quickly reached into her left skirt pocket for the napkin. Taking it out only to have her cellphone fall out of it at the same time. Her right immediately shot out to grab the cellphone, only to fumble it more making it inevitable for the smack towards the ground. She shut her eyes tightly as she could hear that clatter of plastic meets ceramic floor....

Genesis stood next to Avery with its arms crossed. It looked at the confused and baffled students then Scarlet then, finally, Avery. "Did you guys hand out the seven-hundred page pamphlet?" It had its head cocked to the side in a dumbfounded manner. "Most of them look completely scared. Did you guys do the psyche eval correctly?" It watched the girl fumble with her phone before it collided with the ground. "She's definitely not ready." If Genesis could sigh it would.

The android shook his head, "Oh well. You guys need to practice using relics. Like the boss lady said. Meet me at the Gym." He turned and waved at one of the arachnid basketball players, it was the team captain. The handsome arachnid male came over to Genesis with an upset expression, "You lost the bet, let's go pal." After speaking it climbed on the back of the B.ball captains abdomen. It looked back at the group of dimensional travelers, "Be careful, this place has tons of web. Some sticky, some non sticky. Also, most of the hall ways are drop offs." Genesis pointed towards the gym as if giving the spider a command.

Sucking his teeth the captain reluctantly started off towards the Gymnasium with haste.

Lan jumped slightly when he heard something clatter, turning his head to look over his shoulder at the girl. He stopped and walked backwards, stooping to pick up the cell phone and handing it to her. Once she's taken it, he jogged forwards again, catching up to Tristan and Scarlet. He pulled his own relic out from underneath his shirt, thumbing across the designs with his right hand. He tried not to look around too much, lest he possibly anger one of the spider-people by looking at one of them the wrong way or something. As they walked, he didn't noticed a crack in the floor on one of the tiles, and his foot caught in the gap, tripping him. As he started to fall, his hand closed tightly around the pendant, and before he knew what was happening, everything went dark, then very bright, and it felt as if he was being pushed through a glass wall. When he opened his eyes, he was standing around thirty feet away from the group on the opposite end of one of those 'dropoffs' Genesis had described. "Ah, Scarlet?" He called, dropping the relic and wiping his hand on his shorts.

Scarlet and Avery made their way to the gym, picking up the rest of the members on the way. "Watch yourselves," she said. "They're not hostile, but will all turn if you piss them off."

Avery looked around as they approached the gym. "On a side note, has anyone figured out how to work their relic?"

A big spider popped up in their faces, blocking their path

Hana's head swung this way and that. Some had started trying to use their relics, yielding some interesting results. She looked down at her own, with a frown on her face. Taking the little blue jewel between her pointer and thumb, she started rubbing it. Nothing. Then she patted it back and forth like a cat, using her palms. Still nothing. She sighed, but then looked determined. There would be no giving up until she got this right!

It was apparent Hana was getting used to the inhabitants of this strange world. Still, when a large spider popped up she couldn't help but gasp, but then quiet down, with a red face.

Sesler observed the individual details of the spiders face. He tried to be inconspicuous about it, but it was apparent that he was intrigued by it. Speaking to Avery without looking to her, he'd say-

"Yeah, though I think Lan's relic moved him across the cutoff."

He'd point to the stranded Lan, wondering if he flew or simply appeared on that side. Speaking in a lighter whisper to either Scarlet or Avery, them being in sync, he'd ask-

"They speak our dialect, right?"

"Thanks..." was all she could murmur in embaressment as she watched the back of Lan leaving in front of her. Picking up herself from her pose, she glanced around the place. The weirdo Genesis, that spidery Avery has already gone further ahead of them. No choice but to hasten her pace, she followed suit behind them.

Her thoughts slowly rested inside her mind on a book she once read about arachnids, insects, and the like. She remembered that although all arachnids produces webbing, some of them don't do it, due to their species. Some, like tarantula prefers to use webbing as home decor, preferring to pounce upon the prey instead of trapping them.

And since their that big sized...

Ashley sighed. In a surrendering manner. As though somewhat of a way of comforting herself that there is still a silver lining over the clouds. Her relic didn't seemed to be doing anything to her, but it really didn't bother her that much. The speed of such giant arachnids would have simply over run them. All she need to do will be following Scarlet, whom seemed to be the least shaken about such affairs. Maybe trusting her would be worthy, as she carefully paced behind the two, catching up with them.

Another droplet of sweat fell from Tristan's temple, listening to Vanya describe the odd mating ritual of female spiders.

"Gee thanks. That sure makes me feel better." He said sarcastically, still slightly nervous with all the spiderlings around them. When he saw that the boy next to him was going to hit the ground, he reached over to grab his arm like a mother would grab their child's when they tripped. He closed his fingers and found that they had failed to grab anything, Lan had basically disappeared and reappeared a few feet away in an instant. It was obvious that this was some type of act from his relic. "Woah..."

He was pretty fascinated with the utility of the relics from some club members. Sesler's was somewhat simple and acted as a useful form of armor for himself while Lan's seemed to work with some mysterious form of magic that transported his body to a nearby location. He wondered what his would be able to do. He glanced at Ashley, Vanya, and the other club members, wondering what their relics could do.

He followed Scarlet and Spider-Avery towards the gym, pretty determined to practice releasing the abilities in his relic. He stood still without any real emotion when the large spider had appeared, as if his fear had miraculously disappeared in those few seconds.

"Uh. Excuse me. Can we get past, dude?" It was obvious that his child-like curiosity and determination were able to take over Tristan's relentless fears. It may even be considered a little reckless, considering he didn't know if the spider spoke any English. It was far too late to turn back, however.

"You interrupted our game........" the spider said. "I hate you goodie-goodie swimming bastards." This spider apparently knew this guy. Some of the other spiders started to gather around them. It seemed like they were all turning hostile

Avery whispered in Tristian's ear. "Think back to our world. I guess the basketball team captain has a bone to pick with you."

Scarlet hurriedly stepped forward. "I'm terribly sorry," she said quickly, trying to do damage control. "We're looking for someone who we think came running through here, and we desperately need to get by."

The spider moved to the side, but kept his eyes on Tristian the entire time

Tristan furrowed his eyebrows, looking up at the tall spider, not quite sure which pair of eyes to look at when he spoke. The voice was recognizable, even identical to the voice of its parallel in the club's original universe. It was so similar that Tristan barely even remembered that it was a large spider who was challenging him. He opened his mouth to begin speaking, something along the lines of him 'screwing himself', it was what he would've said in his own universe if he had entered this situation. Thankfully Scarlet broke up the altercation.

Avery's assumption was more than correct. There had been a long-lasting rivalry between the swimming and basketball team, even before Tristan was captain. It had blown up way out of proportion as of late, but Tristan was definitely not trying to help the cause. In the case that the spider had been talking about, Tristan had pulled the fire alarm in the gym and made it rain during the game. Because of his reputation, no one really suspected Tristan, but the basketball captain always had a hunch about his involvement.

Tristan walked into the gym, still being able to feel the burn of eyeballs staring at his back.

"Thanks for clearing that up so quick." He told Scarlet, tipping the tongue of his cap in gratitude. Despite his confidence in the moment, it was definitely going to backfire as soon as Tristan remembered that he was in the universe where literally EVERYONE was a spider. "Now to find Genesis..." He gazed around the gymnasium, ignoring the occasional clumps of webs in order to look for the robo-boy. He seemed promising at helping him unleash the power of his relic.

Lan panicked for a moment, watching as his club disappeared around the corner. Well. He'd have to figure it out himself, then. He grasped the relic in his right hand again, clenching his fingers around it and squeezing his eyes shut, concentrating as hard as he could on the spot on the other side of the drop off. The same sensation again, light, darkness, and the shattering sense of pressure all over his body, and then he was standing on the other side again. Thank god. Not a moment to lose, he quickly scurried through the hallways and into the gymnasium, slamming into a furry man-sized arachnid on his way there.

"Hey, Lan right?" Fuck. Fuck everything, he knew that voice of course he knew that voice. That was none other than Jason Arndt, captain of the basketball team, holder of Lan's 'attention' for over a year. Under any other circumstances, he'd get up and maybe possibly definitely flirt a bit, but the regular desire was somewhat... curbed by the fact that his beloved was clicking his pincers.

"Yes, that's me. Sorry, but I'm in a hurry, chat later." Lan called, pushing himself to his feet and streaking past the "captain". He burst into the gym, relieved to see that the rest of the club was still there. He walked over to Tristan, bumping his shoulder against the taller boy's again and dipping his head in greeting, still a bit out of breath from the whole teleporting and then sprinting down a hallway thing. "So, ah. What are we doing? I was a bit preoccupied." He asked, a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth as he turned up to look at Tristan.

She was the new transfer student, she knew no one in the school. Although she watched the others warm up to the spiders, she kept a distance until the spiders allowed them to pass. Giving that bigger spider a quick bow, she hurried her footsteps towards the gym. At least it was a gym, for spiders. Well, it wasn't a surprise to her anymore.

Webbings, synthetic ones are all around the large hall. Though it seemed everywhere, they do have small uniformed mounds at the sides, as though replacing the chairs at the side of the gym with it. So much like human's rolls of chairs, its just that its now synthetic webs. Its hard to make out whether this is some sort of infested spider grounds, or it was actually a gym. The only few light source into the gym would be the large overhead lights, and the light from the window cracks that the webbings have not yet covered.

Moving herself beside Scarlet, the other side of her (that's where the other side stands spider Avery.). She turned to look at the club president, giving her a "Are you serious ?" look, before looking forward again.

"Not to worry, we're about to make it to the clubroom in this world, but we have to move fast. With the captain of the basketball team being mad, there's a real chance we can be attacked." The clubroom in this world houses the artifact they also need to leave. The relic room housed the boss though, so the relic was usually the last thing they did in the world.

This hall had the stickiest webs in the floor. Scarlet touched it and had a hard time removing her hand from it. It was as if the webs had glue on it. "This is a problem," she said. All they could do for now is step over it

"Watch your step, everybody," Avery said. He could move across it at will, as she was a spider, but everyone else had the problem of having to traverse it

"Hm?" Tristan gazed down to his shoulder, taking a peak at Lan smiling up at him. "They're still looking for the relic, it seems." While the others were searching for the relic room however, he still wanted to try and practice using his own relic. "That teleportation stuff you did back there was pretty cool." Tristan muttered, looking down at his wrist and giving two hard taps at the bracelet with his index finger. "Sucks that I got stuck with this trash..."

tumblr_mwpyqx9a9d1t29uc5o1_500.gif

As if it had heard his offending words towards it, the relic began to shine a faint white hue. "Hm?" In a sudden burst of feathers, a pair of long white appendages began to extend from Tristan's back. They were decorated with pure white feathers and were large enough to touch Tristan's ankles. They stretched out, the left first and then the right, showing off their impressive wingspan in a rather cocky manner. "Well about time." Tristan commented, grinning with extreme joy at the fact that his relic had finally showed what it was capable of.

It wasn't going to be that easy though, this ignorant teenager had just mocked his relic after all. He definitely wasn't going to get away with that. The pair of wings began to tilt upwards, and in one fell swoop, Tristan was launched high into the open space of the gym. Tristan was left helpless, being thrown to the left, to the right, up, down, generally in every direction possible by the wings on his back. After a few seconds of this embarrassing game, Tristan, as well as his wings, ended up in one of the uniform mounds at the sides of the gym.

"Why me!" The boy whined, extremely dizzy and nauseous while in the mound of webbing. He let out a small grunt, using all his force in a failed attempt to get out. He had barely moved an inch from his original spot. "S-Some help please?" He pled, feeling like a soon to be meal to one of the basket ball players around the school.

Lan cursed his blood vessels as he felt his face heat up at the complement, smiling to himself and reaching down to run the pad of his finger over the ornament. Just as he was about to open his mouth to reply, Tristan was sprouting fucking wings. Lan blinked a few times in surprise, though really he wasn't sure if he could be any more baffled by anything today. "Are– are you alri-" He was cut off by his own gasp as Tristan was flung into the air, seemingly only by the will of the feathery appendages. Lan looked up, dumbfounded and with his mouth hanging slightly open in shock. He watched in horror as Tristan was tossed this way and that. He cringed when the boy was finally dropped, though he landed directly in a spider web, effectively trapping him.

Lan rushed over to help, taking a moment to survey the situation before he decided what to do. "Ah, maybe try.. leaning upwards, like arching your back, and then.. taking your relic off? It might make your wings disappear, and at least then you'll be less stuck?" He tried, chewing on his lip, "And then I can try to pull you off? Or maybe.. if you hold onto my hand or something, I can teleport you out of the web?" It was worth a shot.

"Okay, go with the relic thing first. I'll be ready to grab your hand and teleport if they disappear."

@MisterUniverse

Tristan's lips pursed into a helpless pout, absolutely disgusted by the sticky, mucous like webs that touched practically every nook and cranny on his body. He smiled in relief to see Lan come to the rescue, giving him some advice on how to get out.

"Okay, no prob." He did what he was told, being able to move his hand slightly closer to the other in order to remove the bracelet. He fought with the puzzle-like mechanism that had the bracelet fastened to his hand, but was able to solve it with enough determinations. The feathers on Tristan's two extra appendages slowly fell, remaining suspended in the webbing for a short amount of time before crumbling like a dried leaf into nothingness. Absolutely brilliant! Without all that extra weight, Tristan was able to move slightly more than before, definitely not enough to get out of the webs himself though.

"Okay, here I come." The boy murmured, moving his hand like before, but now towards Lan. His movements were slow and heavy, he huffed in frustration. "That's. As far. As I. Can go." Tristan said between breaths. His hand was still about half a foot encased in the webbing, but he hopped Lan was confident enough to reach in and grab his hand. "You got this." He encouraged him with a hopeful tone, which was as all he could do in his position.

Watching with fret as Tristan fought to remove himself from the sticky entrapments, Lan preemptively held the relic gently in his hand. When Tristan gave the signal (and the words of encouragement which definitely didn't make him feel the tiniest bit stronger) he reached forward and carefully grabbed Tristan's hand just at the moment when he squeezed the relic, thinking hard about the center of the gymnasium. The same strange, slightly uncomfortable feeling of pressure, and then blinding light, and he dared open his eyes.

He was now standing in the middle of the gym, hand still tightly clenched to Tristan, and there was the other boy standing beside him. A slow, relieved smile crept up onto his face and he sighed, squeezing Tristan's hand as a signal for him to open his eyes. The taller boy was still slightly covered in webbing, but most of it was on his clothes or hair, not much was on his skin anymore, thankfully. "Perfect. Now let's catch up with everyone else." He murmured, realizing they were still holding hands and dropping his fingers with a cough and a look to his shoes as he started walking fowards along the same path that Scarlett, Avery and the others had taken.

When they reached the web that the others were already taking pains to cross, Lan immediately grabbed Tristan's upper arm and popped them up on the other side. "Don't want to have to repeat that again." He said in explanation, taking a small step away from the other male and crossing his arms. "Does anyone else need help crossing? Turns out I can teleport other people with me." He said loudly, looking around at the members still waiting on the other side of the web.

'Yuck.' Hana thought, looking around. She felt like grabbing a duster and attacking the giant cobwebs. Simply, she turned her head away from the sight, and focused on activating her own relic. There was some commotion and she raised her head to see one of the boy's being flung around the room. Before she could see where he ended up landing, she focused back on herself.

One thought that occurred to her was to put the gem into her mouth. Nah, these relics cost way too much, she couldn't do that. Then she thought of enclosing it in both her hands and concentrating... But she had no idea what her relic could do, so she had no idea what to think about.

Hana thought back to the cartoons she used to watch on TV. The girls would transform with special words... Maybe she could do the same?

"H-henshin?" She felt really silly. Nope, nothing.

Ashley looked behind her, seeing Hana mentioned something softly. It was a silly verse, but it was funny enough for her to pass on a giggle. Moving her right to cover her mouth instinct wise, the ring on her finger touched her lips. For a moment her thought is directed onto the relic that she held.Tristan's wings, Sesler's shoulder armor, Lan's teleportation. The three guys have already had their relic manifest. What about her's ? What was her's suppose to do ?

And with that distracted thought she misstep her as she walked. The sticky webbing caught onto the soles of her feet, and brought her down on all fours. The trip wasn't that bad, it didn't hurt much either. But her hands that have went in front of her now is touching the floor and the webbing. Their stickiness getting onto her.

Just then a thought ran up her mind. What happens if spiderwebs were to react in the presence of a fire ?

Reaching to her right pocket this time, as well as being careful not to drop her stuffs the second time, she pulled out a small lighter. She use it in time to burn of threads and trim the loose ends. Pulling it close to the spiderwebs that entangled to her, she depressed the switch.A flame spurt out of its nozzle, larger than a regular strike than she have anticipated, and caused the spiderweb to shrink in the flame. The larger than normal outburst drew her back abit, but she have gotten free from the webs. Pushing herself to a stand, she burned the sticky webbing that have caught onto her skirt when she tripped, careful not to set her skirt on fire.

They say spiderwebs are flammable, but it has been far from the truth. They're never flammable, but the dusts and lint that were caught in it were the cause of it that it could spontaneously combust into flames. These web strings are simply large a strand and too many. And they just shrivelled and shrunk at the little flame of the lighter.

Holding the lighter in her hand, she slowly moved forward as she followed Scarlet. Hopefully there are no more danger than that of webs...

Genesis stood at the far end of the Gymnasium. It was kneeling down with its eyes locked on the entrance. When the first new-join passed through the door the automaton relic rose to its feet. "Took you guys long enough." It said standing proudly

"Scarlet, hold up." Genesis waved for the Club's president to come closer. "Before you take these guys to face the BroodMother, we should engaged them in some training. Much like Omji would have I've arranged things to help them get comfortable with their tools. Just because they can use relics doesn't mean they'll be good at it." it observed the students struggling with the webs. "My job is to protect these kids, If they're not ready I can't let you go into this realms reliquary."

"No matter your job, Genesis, Scarlet calls the shots here," Avery said, stepping forward. "You don't let us do anything. We move at Scarlet's call, as she has the best judgement." One thing Avery didn't like was people trying to go against Scarlet's orders, and his words "I can't let you," implied that he'd try to prevent them from fulfilling them. Genesis knew of Avery's tendency to challenge anyone who challenged Scarlet, so he'd know this was nothing personal, but what Scarlet says goes.

"He has a point Avery," Scarlet said, putting a hand on Avery's shoulder. "However, we can't train until we get to the Artifact in this world." The place that houses the Artifact was like a safe-zone. They wouldn't be attacked there. If they try to grasp it in the school, they would most definitely be attacked. The Artifact was in the clubroom and the Relic (Thus the broodmother) was in the principal's office.

Vanya

Vanya Stood next to Scarlet like she was her equal and had been in the club just as long,"So....your saying that our relics are active, but if we just start using them willy-nilly this reality will start a "defense mechanism" and use the students as the antibodies to destroy the "infection", IE: Us? Is what I'm guessing just from listening." Vanya looked up at them as she spoke, her words eloquent and perfect even the air quotes were perfectly placed. Vanya straightened her blue skirt and turned her attention to Gensis,"I'm sorry to say, but I forgot what you are....are you human or something else?"

@Kylesar1 @Jeda Teq

Bryn

The young man had successfully activated his relic, half it's power that is. Bryn held the blood red scabbard in his left hand and the actual katana in the right. The scabbard had fabric wrapped around it that had a floral pattern on it and the katana's handle was the same color as the scabbard. Bryn had stepped off to the side to practice swinging the sword, but if you were watching him you could tell he was not an amateur with the sword, in fact he was twirling it around his with ease and comfort.

Genesis and Avery where different in many ways. At the same time they had one big similarity. They both were servant type relics. This meant neither being would waiver from the orders they received.

Genesis stood firmly when Avery approached him. This wasn't the first time they've butt heads. They've even fought to a draw a couple times due to conflicting orders and how they interpreted them.

Before Genesis could make a retort to Avery, Scarlet spoke. Her words reassured Genesis that the students would be fine. The tension brief tension between the two relics had been defused.

@Kylesar1

Genesis answered Vanya's question,"You're not wrong, but that's a very... arrogant way of putting it. What Scarlet has been trying to explain to you is that if they feel threatened they will eliminate the threat. Don't undermine their intelligence. They are the humans of this world." When Vanya mentioned Genesis being human it simply walked away. Being human meant it had to have responsibilities and it could be held accountable for its actions. Definitely something it did not want. "Oh, and if you have questions don't ask us. Just because we're your Senpai doesn't mean we know everything about the places we visit. When you get the chance talk to the locals. That's the best way to learn about new places. Now let's hurry on to 313-E." Genesis lead the way.
