Name: Maya Winkle

Species: Human

Age: 24

Role/job: Station janitor, occasional maintenance man.

Backstory: Very few people actually want to become a janitor. Maya was not one of those people. Maya made the unfortunate mistake of studying literature (human, and "alien") in college. There are very few jobs in the galaxy for somebody who spent four years in a very expensive book club. Maya found herself strapped for cash after graduation, and needing to pay back her student loans as quickly and efficiently as possible. HarClor Labs job listing for janitorial staff on a research station promised good money, and Maya eagerly applied. Although the job wasn't bad (room and board was included with the job, as well as a first hand look at major scientific breakthroughs), Maya doesn't want to spend the rest of her life mopping up chemical spills and repairing vending machines. As soon as Maya earns enough money to pay off her loans, she's outta there.

Or, at least that's what she thought. After a recent attack on the staion, it looks like she's stuck there longer than she had planned.

Personality: Maya doesn't necessarily like to be seen or heard. She does her job's around the station and then keeps to her quarters by herself. Despite being rather anti-social, Maya isn't on bad terms with anybody on the station. She's kind and polite when spoken to, and then goes on her merry way. When not cleaning somebody's mess, Maya is usually reading in her room or watching movies online. Although she isn't gifted in the scientific arts, she enjoys watching the progress made in scientific discovery's on the station. Unlike some of the other support staff, Maya see's the experiment's as people, and treats them as such.

Abilities: Everything a human can do. Too bad that's basically nothing.

Strengths: Highly observant, good with a mop, and can over analyze just about any piece of media (books, shows, movies, games) you put in front of her.

Weaknesses: The sight of blood makes her sick to her stomach. When there is a medical emergency that needs cleaned up Maya usually has to ask another member of the janitorial staff to do it, as she is too busy puking to do it herself.

Maya would describe herself as "a lover, not a fighter". To be honest, she isnt much of either. Dont expect her to be much good in a fight.

Maya can't drive any vehicle. She's crashed just about everything she has attempted to drive.

Name: Williamson "Will" Ballard

Backstory:
Williamson Ballard is no stranger to large families. Growing up with 13 brothers and sisters had its perks and disadvantages, especially when you're the middle child. But there was one thing he always vowed to do: Make a name for himself.
Once he was old enough to read and comprehend life outside of Earth, he threw himself into studies, finding alien life exciting and unpredictable. He learned more about alien biology and customs before he did human ones. He had no clue what to do with this passion though, finding that at first, humanity seemed pretty set on keeping things to their own planet. But then talk started of a lab being created at a site off Earth. With only a small window to work with, he threw himself into his studies, emphasizing his knowledge in alien biology until he earned his standing on a team of medical workers heading for the lab known as HarClor.
He's been at the lab for a while now, and thinks the experiments and species living here are nothing short of amazing. He looks up to the couple that brought the lab to life as insperations to what he would like to achieve himself one day.

Personality: Will is a quick learner, but he's often a perfectionist about the subjects he learns about and he'll talk your ear off the entire time about the subject. A kind hearted man, he strives to make people comfortable through thoughtful gestures and gifts, sometimes to his own detriment.

Abilities/Strengths: Though he's not an alien species and he doesn't have any cool features like the experiments, he's smart and can play a wicked violin solo. He also has a few years of experience with alien languages, though he's still a little rough with most of the lingo for most.

Weaknesses: He's pretty much blind without his glasses. He also has a caffeine addiction that keeps him up late on most nights, causing him to have pretty late mornings.

  Weaknesses: Requires a higher calorie and liquid intake to operate at full capacity than the average person.
  Backstory: Born to a human and a Targ on a space ship for the first few years of his life he was eventually moved onto a high gravity planet where he was raised at their guard academy. Trained in tactics and combat without the reliance on technology he is able to function without power unlike a vast majority of security agents across the galaxy. He learned to use tech based weaponry during his time at the facility but he sticks to thrown and melee weaponry. He is usually busy maintaining order within the facility and managing the guard staff to keep the entire facility as secure as possible. Due to this his relationships with the staff outside of the guards and guard units isn't very close despite everyone knowing who he is.

species: Alien - An'toluan

Experiment type: Observational- Anora belongs to an extremely illusive race of aliens. This was the only egg of this race ever found.

backstory: Anora was found as an egg on an ocean planet. This planet is fairly small in comparison to Earth and around 90% water, the only land being volcanic islands.
Having hatched in the lab they are being observed to know more about the race of aliens and in hopes to eventually bridge the gap with the An'tulans.

personality: Anora is innocent and trusting. She likes wearing little white dresses and swimming (because of course). She's curious about the world, especially fond of meeting new animals.

abilities: Short range telepathy (up to 5 feet), water breathing, control of at most 1 cup of water

strengths: swimming, naturally inquisitive mind

weaknesses: very weak, small and naive

backstory:
Maria was one of the first experiment conducted by Sandra and Mar'zrok Gorlso using a new design for AI based on Neten brain patterns, within a nanite construct the original idea was to produce an expert infiltrator/scout, and a possible assassin, everything ran smoothly until well one issue was finding the girl couldn't exactly process the abstract too well, later down the track it was realised that if they made a younger program it would fair somewhat butter thus her little brother T.A.R.I.C was created to complement her abilities. and being one of the oldest experiment shes watched most of the other grow up, and seeing. a few experiments over the years have shipped out and well... she hates to see them go having become rather attached to everyone here.

maria's personality is like that of a teenager in some sense, she's a little grouchy at times, but overall shes a caring individual that just tries to make sure everyone is safe and ok... even if it put her in harms way she does have a bigger soft spot for taric as he was made to be her little brother after all... even if he's an absolute handful she loves him just as much as any of her other siblings

Maria is made form a class of recon assassin nanites capable of hacking most civilian hardware as well as shifting into a sort of nanite puddle or morph into a faximuly of civilian machinery, alone with advanced sensory systems

backstory:
taric was the second attempt at using neten brain pattering on a nanite construct, originally the nanites used for taric were meant to be used as a planetary purging weapon, although they where repurposed, some of the old programmings still remains, designed to be able to think more abstractly he was introduced to his "big sister" maria and they have been close ever since. tagging along with his sister wherever she went.. he is a bit of a handful though

personality:
taric is definitely childish even though he's 20 always curious and hoping form one subject to another as easily as someone changes cloths, to be fair much of this distraction and jumpy/energetic behaviour is done to surprise the nanites original intention when he does focus the boy is ruthlessly efficient, he has a great connection to his older sister... trusting her alot... especially since he tends to get the both of them into trouble alot...
abilities:
Taric is a lot more destructive then his older sister having a larger verity of weapons systems that are slowly unlocked as threat increases if taric can focus enough to realise its a threat capable of interfacing with certain pieces of military hardware, along with being able to shift to a smaller assault drone/one man speeder if the situation calls for it.

strengths:
hight degree of firepower compared to his sister but less accurate
is capable of getting int small places... being made of nanites thusly able to damaging things from the inside out
is hard to damage
capable of interfacing with certain pieces of weaponry and military hardware
weaknesses:
incredibly easily distracted buy stuff since... well he's still a child
has an inferior firewall to his sister and is susceptible to virus attack
being made of nanite means explosives are very effective against him

Experiment type: developmental - the Gorslos document how Milo develops and what affects his development

backstory: Taken in by the Gorslos after their trip to Papen, Milo and a few other Papena orphans were set for a long term experiment on Papena development. He views the Gorslos as his parents since he grew up under their care and views other experiments as his family.

personality: Milo is very loyal, spunky, and bright person. He's excitable, friendly, and enjoys meeting new people.

abilities: he's inhumanly flexible

strengths: He's
very agile, flexible, loyal, and an avid reader. He's quite the linguist as well

weaknesses: He must be kept properly hydrated as he is a plant based lifeform. He also must get a certain amount of uv rays and sunlight (artificial will do). As a tropical based Papena, he can not survive cold temperatures like a human can without the proper clothing.
