Timburin was once a bustling and thriving industrial city settled in a habitable region within the Angloras mountain range. Water from melting snow and ice upon the mountain tops would provide energy for their textile mills, and the easily accessible ores hidden within the mountain bases would be converted into metal ingots that would be used throughout the country. Needless to say, Timburin was an affluent town and an old one at that. Timburin is riddled with old city blocks intertwined with new architectural styles.
Timburin's greatest defense against would be invaders was a narrow pass, approximately a mile wide, known as Herron's Pass. A lone fortress known as the Bulwark resided within the center of Herron's Pass. Many bloody battles and invasions were held host at the fortress, and countless individuals had lost their lives defending the Bulwark's walls and the citizenry of Timburin.
Timburin is also home to the renowned Belveuder academy. A multifaceted school that excels in all areas of learning. Belveuder offers all forms of learning to students studying within its walls. Belveuder academy once served as a keep for a lord that once ruled over an ancient town that once stood in Timburin's place. The defensible walls still stand firm, but are slowly crumbling with age. The rest of the keep was converted into lodgings and study rooms. Belveuder, like Timburin, is a combination of the old with the new.
