Music Ever used music to help you write?

The rhythm and tempo of instrumentals acts like a code that unlocks levels in my brain, so, many ideas I have had started with a soundtrack. I creates an image in my head, and then I work backwards to discern how that image could exist, which makes a story. I don't always use it, but I've had a good time doing so.

I use lyrics to create characters. It really helps me flesh them out. I begin with a 2D cutout, then listen to some tunes that I feel could relate to them and give them move detail.

I’ve never come across anyone else who does before this, so that’s great!

Some songs trigger the creation of entire worlds in my mind. It remains fun to explore them.
