Realistic or Modern Even If I'm An Extra, Notice Me Senpai! - A Genre Savvy RTD

Danchou Tsubomi

Leader of the Mekakushi Dan

Even If I'm An Extra, Notice Me Senpai!

A Genre Savvy Roll To Dodge

"Kurishe K?k? Sh?"*(not a real anime ) is an anime that isn't getting much views. The producers are getting nervous about how low the views are, so everyone needs to step up their game. It's especially hard for the only writer in the show and he's freaking out. Everything. Must. Be. Perfect. Add some fan-pandering, put in some references, and increase the moe, then more people will like it. Thank goodness everyone is putting in their hardest work and that everyone's staying on the script.

Except, well, sometimes strange things happen.

You see, anime is not real. It never will be.
So why is this background character doing all these things the animators don't want her to? Is this some strange joke? A glitch in the animation software? Well, it doesn't really matter for now.

Right?

Unknown to them, she's aware that's she's in an anime. She doesn't know why, but she is definitely in an anime. It's kind of freaky how no one else in the show knows but...whatever. Like every anime ever, she has a senpai.

But she's an extra. He's a protagonist. Do you know how mad the audience would be if she ended up with him? They'd hate that!

She'd lose hope, but she has an idea: gradually become an important character. But how?

Well, with your help! You probably watch more anime than she does, so by using your genre-savviness, she can become more important
and maybe even save the show. By appealing to the show creators and audience, this will work out fine!

...assuming that your actions aren't too noticeable and distracting from what they want to do...

Extra-chan

A girl with no name or official personality who is in love with Tsukki. Due to being an extra, she doesn't really do much but she's gradually becoming her own person (unfortunately for the show's creators) though she's heavily influenced by the actions of the roleplay. She will and can do whatever is suggested, so tends to take things a bit too literally. Main character of the roleplay.

Makoto "Tsukki" Tsukishima

Extra-chan's senpai and crush. Somewhat aloof, he's quite the kuudere. Tsukki tends to play the violin and constantly has his headphones on. Though he never pays attention in class, he gets good marks. Known for being popular with the ladies despite his obliviousness. Also the protagonist of the show. Fights monsters after school by using magic.

Anime Industry Workers

(Left: Show Writer, Middle: One of the Producers, Right: Chief Animator)

Very tired and very stressed. They're trying their best to stay sane, but it's hard to when it seems like one of the background characters is...alive? Nah, that must be sleep deprivation. All of them are coffee addicts and are often found sleeping on trains on their way to and from work. None of them really drink coffee during work as they fear looking disrespectful.

Roll To Dodge

Quoted from TV Tropes:

"The rules are simple; each player submits an action, and the GM rolls a six-sided die to determine the result of each player's efforts. There are six levels of success, depending on the number rolled:

[1] Epic Fail - The action was not performed, and backfired horribly.

[2] Fail - Nothing happened.

[3] Partial Success - The exact degree of success is established by the GM.

[4] Success - The action was carried out adequately.

[5] Epic Success - The action succeeded in the most positive way possible.

[6] Overshot - Though the result was achieved, the action backfires horribly due to disproportionately large effort."

Great to hear you guys are interested! We might not be able to start relatively soon but I'll tag you guys when we do start. I'll wait for some more people to join as well so that things go faster. I'm also going to be gone for a bit so there will be some minor delay.
