General Information


Name: Evelynn 'Candlejack' Parks


Background: An orphan Blackline child adopted into ' Maggie Farchild Orphanarium' , Evelynn was named according to the precinct in which she was found (A common custom among Blackline orphans). Picked up from a bus stop in Evergreen Parks, her name and record of adoption was kept on non manatech format to prevent a digital presence of her existence from happening. A childhood of the most basic Corporate funded education left her extremely submissive to those in positions of authority and often unquestioning in her loyalty. After reaching the 'critical' age and not getting adopted out, she was transferred to the 12+ facility where the majority of the time Evelynn and her fellow unwanted were rented out as lightweight guinea pigs for various corporations. 


At age 17, Evelynn was ejected from the Orphanage according to standard Corporate Adoption Law. Essentially dropped outside the gate with no idea how to survive on her own, she was picked up almost immediately by criminal elements. Her conditioning and attitude from her life made for easy transitioning into Gang superstructure, she found herself a participant in whatever enterprise her superior called for. 


At age 20, she was burnt out. Physically, mentally, and spiritually an almost husk of a human being. But like slash and burn farming, something was revealed underneath the destruction of her self. Her gang allegiance falling into the hands of a much more...upward minded group, purpose was found. What had been burnt away was slowly replaced and repaired by low grade manatech with Evelynn pushed into more specialized forms of augmentation. 


By 28, Evelynn was a veteran of multiple Corporate Wars. A Blackline Trooper used to illegally acquire personnel, technology, and datafiles in rapid high impact attacks. Popping smoke and concussion, killing local security forces and apprehending the target and then vanishing before opposing Central Corporate Security arrived. 


At 29, there came an awakening. A job gone wrong with 'Hayazaki Genomana Research' purposely feeding false information about their layout leading to an ill informed smash and grab. Forced to drop everything and vault multiple stories to the cold ground below, she escaped but barely. Essentially alone for the first time in her life, soul searching was inevitable an Evelynn was found wanting. Life had never before been hers and to her current allegiance she was undoubtedly dead. A free agent, she is searching for a cause and Freedom is a good a call as any...


Appearance: 


What always seems to catch eyes first is her height, artificial legs bring her height to a range of seven feet (Full extension) to a more normal height of 5' 7" (Standard extension) or lower to a 5' (Full retraction). Her legs are digitigrade and fully synthetic built up into her upper thighs. Her body fully exudes the feel of something purpose built and heavily worked upon. Surgical scars crisscross her pale skin and her musculature the result of manatech shock programs rather than working out. Her right arm is obviously fully artificial, the cold grey color and multiple warning labels giving it away without much effort to cover it up. 


Her organic parts are less noticeable off the bat but there was once a reason why she was quickly picked up by gangs after being ejected from Corporate care. Heavy eyebrows and dark hair do little to define her racial makeup but it at least seems to be a decent mix. Her skin is blemish free, scoured clean of acne by repeated testing of skin scare products and startlingly her face has remained youthful. Almost disturbingly so, another common trait of Orphanarium ejects. Rampant testing of commercial products and radical magical technique often leave their recipients in 'biological' limbo. As such her eyes seem too big for her face, the dark blue orbs wide open. Her right breast has now been fully removed through surgical means and the remaining fat content of her body maintained at low levels. This is one of multiple surgeries she has had on her chest and on genitalia. This further contributes to the 'coltish' feel of her organic parts, her body in a sense, under developed but extremely receptive to implantation.     


Currently she is growing her hair out for the first time naturally. A mop of black hair down just to the top of her neck with some curls forming in it. Discovering now for the first time her own tastes in colors and style, her taste is extremely poor and clothing she chooses ranges from tacky to inappropriate. There is now however, a spark of joy in her. It shines out from behind what people have done to her, more and more each day as she continues to discover who and what she is.

  • A front line shock trooper for most of her life. Parks has gained social standing with those involved in illegal Industrial Operations at the 'Operator' level, her contacts and familiarity does not extend to those who fund, plan, and benefit from the operations but the ground troops themselves as well as the sergeants running the operations.   

Knowledge: Invasive body implantation

  • More knowledge than a first hand experience, Parks is incredibly well versed in origin, function, and use of both legitimate and black market Manatech implantation and augmentations to the human body. 

Training: Smash and Grab 

  • A shock trooper assigned to hotzone smash and grab operations through tactically applied brute force. CQC and Target Apprehension of Industry personnel are her bread and butter.

Alright, so:


Morgan Polytech Neural Spike m7-800. Standard current gen spike; provides link to other augs, you can plug in a hardline connection to local Mesh or power armour. Provides a HUD with ammo readout and tactical directions from command. Can also store and playback data.


Outrider Military Augmentation Series 9 cyberlegs. Mainly titanium and plastic. Kneecaps are removed and the legs are grafted on slightly further up the thigh, and the feet are digitigrade - two broad 'toes' in front, one in back, the foot long with a more pronounced ankle joint. Provides some extra mobility and absorbs shock from falls. +1 Speed when running, takes longer to tire when running or walking long distances, absorbs impact on landing, counts as +1 Soak for hits to the legs.


Outrider Military Augmentation Series 9 cyberarm, 'Last Word'. 


Reinforced shelplas and titanium prosthetic hand, dexterity equivalent to natural hand and equipped with a thought-activated firing pin in the wrist, opening in the middle of palm, can strike a shotgun shell as an emergency weapon. Has a slot for quick and easy reload.


A new model came out this year which boasts a three-slot rotating drum inside the wrist for more shots.
