Personality

Evaline is, simply put, a woman of many complexities - but they make Eveline who she is - a brave, good soul blinded by the path between good and evil. As her life is best described as a roller-coaster, her personality is more like a tornado. Smart, fierce, headstrong and competitive, yet merciful, fair, kind and joyful, Eveline already has the foundations for heroism; yet she is driven by the ambition for a personal thrill which goes hand-in-hand with a desire help others on a smaller scale - which is peculiar, since Eveline Dennis was raised by a former member of the Jokerz - Very rarely does she take a situation seriously, instead playing everything off like a grand play with the world as their stage. This carefree and out-going attitude is a stark contrast to her rather extensive list of expertly-planned robberies.

However, that is not to say Evaline does't in-fact care, like most villains. Truly, she does have a heart of gold, albeit a conflicted one at that; the difference is this isn't a girl who needs saving. As a civilian, in the every-day world she is the best person one could expect. Polite, sweet, helpful, incredulously generous, and well-loved.... But when she dons the mask, the real Eveline shines brightly through - a tongue sharp as steel, and a wit cold as ice are the supporting tools to her playful, sarcastic mannerisms - and Evaline is absolutely aware of her choices, never does she hold an ounce of regret over what she does as the Catwoman. But embraces the alter-ego, the Catwoman is very much apart of who Evaline is as a person; it's far more than a costume to her, but an important part of who she is. The thrill of the hunt, breaking into the unbreakable, stealing the unobtainable  - these are the very things Evaline lives for, her infatuation with Selina Kyle goes deeper than a role-model, as she relates. The Catwoman is Evaline's coping mechanism. Yet regardless of her relatability with the Catwoman, Evaline will always remain a good person at heart; she looks out for the everyday person in ways the more traditional heroes don't. With the money obtained from her... nightly activities, she has perhaps given thousands of people homes through charity donations to orphanages, homeless shelters - and most strikingly, animal shelters; the original home of each cat the girl owns. It's this reason entirely, why Evaline keeps normal-life entirely separate from her renegade life. Having the heroes and media merely see her as "the thieving cat" suits her better than the more... complex realism's of her unique situation.

"Oh, I might be a tad bit more than you can handle."

History

Eveline Dennis, daughter of Delia Dennis, great granddaughter of Harley Quinn, and the Catwoman. Quite the combination of interesting little coincidences, but truly she has shaped to be this way with a precision most children won't ever understand... It would be an understatement to say her life was a most interesting journey. Her mother, Delia Dennis, twin sister of Deidra Dennis, was daughter to Harley Quinn. The  Harley Quinn, yet the very existence of these children was proof of Harley's incredible reformation from the side of villainy, after retiring from the Joker's service and forever holding a burning hatred for the clown - Harley attempted to lead a normal life the best she could, her efforts were certainly valiant yet she had ultimately failed to keep her children safe from the horrors of the past. Like their mother before them, Deidra and Delia became infatuated with the Joker and the Jokerz. Ultimately joining the gang which lead to a terrible split - the family was torn apart most viciously... Expectedly Harley was heartbroken and shattered at this betrayal by her children. It was their mother's plight that tore the two formerly inseparable twins apart. Delia chose to return to her mother and attempt to lead a normal life; writing the Jokerz and the Joker off as a fleeting fool's fantasy.

Deidra, however.... She was off a different mind, she cursed her twin and mother, citing the duo as traitors to the Joker, whom they owed their allegiance. The twins inevitably fought, a conflict only broken up forcefully by Harley herself - who disowned Deidra for her blind allegiance to the Joker, though it seemed impossible at first, Harley found a way to hate the clown even more. That was the last meeting they ever had, yet even the attempt of a normal life... It could hardly be called normal. Eveline was the result of some grief-stricken, drunken blunder in a nightclub, courtesy of her mother Delia; yet the even from the earliest signs of pregnancy, the former Jokerz member vowed to raise her daughter right - and by all the Gods did she try, at that. From as early as Evaline could remember, there were many frequent shoot-outs in the vicinity. Whilst Harley and Delia had avoided the Jokerz, it came at the expense of living in a naturally run-down, rough neighbourhood. A place so violent and rotten, it was worthless to the more important gangs in Gotham.

Evaline Dennis was homeschooled jointly by Harley and Delia, whilst Delia wasn't massively gifted in many subjects; Harley was in-fact incredibly academically adept, she taught Evaline all the basic school formats, but put far more focus on self-defence and acrobatics - Delia is the one who underwent demonstrations due to Harley's age, but the older woman was still a wonderful coach. Really, combat training was a necessity due to the neighbourhood they lived in. Life was strange, it was uncomfortable and frightening, but also filled with genuine love - even if it was a little deranged - this continued for years. It wasn't uncommon for Harley to break out into incredibly loud rants, either over the Joker or the Batman; whilst most girls got "the talk" about boys, Evaline's was about Gothem, the Joker, the Jokerz, morality, and guidance. Much darker, and much more suggestive than most children would ever hear. Harley and Delia weren't villains, nor where they heroes, yet at the same time the thought of complete "normality" was almost a disappointment to them in relation to Evaline, it was if they wanted to her to be not Batman, but not the Joker. Yet also to do something more with her life.

Only as Evaline got older did she truly begin to understand these many subtle suggestions, wanting nothing more than to make her mother and grandmother proud, she began a frenzied research into all the iconic figures in Gotham's history - and one stood out - Selena Kyle, Catwoman. She was neither hero nor villain, she worked for personal gain outside of the law, whilst still able to be described as a "good person". This inspired Evaline to do the same, she wanted to do better though, this realisation was instantaneous; and Evaline knew she wanted to be the Catwoman; all throughout her life, Delia and Harley had been nothing but completely honest. When Evaline told them what she "wanted to be" she wasn't met with laughs, or annoyance, but instead approval. Harley in-particular, seemed to like the idea that posing as Catwoman would hide her true identity from pretty much everyone, the ULJ, the authorities, and most importantly; the Jokerz. Delia seemed most excited about the concept of thievery, apparently her daughter becoming a super thief was exactly what she wanted... Needless to say, the two decided vigilante training was needed.

From the ages of 16 up until 20 she was trained virtually non-stop in skills she'd need; which only added onto the years of training beforehand, martial arts classes everyday for 3 hours,  4 hours of Stealth training; something Harley was not only oddly adept at coaching, but she also had.... connections, she used to aid Evaline in her improvements. An additional 3 hours of infiltration techniques, and finally 3 hours acrobatics training. Whilst it could be described as hard, Evaline felt nothing but pride each time she perfected a new move, she never whined or moaned, complained or huffed. Not once did she give up, the years seemed to pass in leaps and bounds of natural improvements until she had perfected mostly everything her mother and grandmother had to offer, as well as whatever former connections they held. Though Evaline's departure into the world was hardly a farewell, seeing as she saw her mother and grandmother often; but it didn't take her long to amass a small fortune from some small robberies here and there. Though it soon became apparent she needed some real equipment if she was to make any real impact on Gotham, so with what money she had, the teen was able to - with Harley's help - navigate the criminal underworld in search of a particularly pricey suit, that had to be custom made and tailor to Evaline exactly. Fortunately the underworld had its share of mad scientists just itching to try out new projects and researches, with the funds paid by Evaline, a Doctor Morannon was able to manufacture a rather fantastic suit out of stolen Star Lab metal-alloys - the suit itself cost nearly 50x more than the woman could afford, but seeing as she was using it to steal yet more funds the Doctor was clearly feeling lucky, he considered it an investment into future partnerships.

That was over a year ago, since then Evaline has her own home in one of the "nicer" districts of Bludhaven -having relocated from Gotham to avoid the Jokerz - whilst the district she lives within is still poor and riddled with misfortune, there aren't so many shoot-outs. Though she is still paying off her debt to the Mad Scientist, her gains have been huge thus far, despite the fact she has largely stayed on lower-key valuables. Harley and Delia have both moved to Bludhaven in a more... comfortable area. They consider it smart to remain close, but not too close to avoid suspicion. With the correct arsenal and training in her possession, and a years experience in utilising it to her best ability; the new Catwoman has her eyes set on something big, something extraordinarily valuable, something which is supposed to be so secure, nobody can steal it... With no Nightwing to stop her, she has free reign. Right?

"Um, let's not focus too much on the past, m'kay? Let's focus on what's happening right now, here in the present. That's far more important, no?"

Skills

+Brilliant Infiltrator:  Eveline is naturally, a master of the shadows, she has perfected the art of moving silently, able to remain undetected from even the keenest minds. Only extra-vigilant heroes, or meta-humans could hope to notice her. This stealth allows her get in and out of highly secured zones with almost no trace of her ever having been present.

+Advanced Hand-to-Hand Combatant:  Evaline is definitely a decent fighter, with training from her mother as well as several martial arts classes, she is able to hold her own in a confrontation. Whilst her combat abilities aren't near the level of most heroes, she is able to combine her acrobatic skill and weaponry to stand a better chance.

+Expert Acrobat:  Eveline has been tutored by her mother, Delia, who was in-turn taught by Harley Quinn, expert level acrobatics; such training has made Eveline incredibly fast and mobile, whilst being a great climber to-boot

+Manipulative:  Whilst lacking the manipulative tact of her role-model, Selina, Eveline is a smart speaker, often able to lead people astray or distract them long enough for her to achieve a certain goal.

"Hehe, you think you can take me? Aw, that's cute. Here's the deal, you can try... But first you have to catch me."

Weaknesses

-Mortal:  Alas, this Cat only has one life. Being made out of 100% mortality, Evaline is susceptible to anything the average person is. Perhaps more importantly, she doesn't exactly have a high pain threshold or the most incredible willpower, making her a less durable opponent to people she's unfortunate enough to meet.

-Thrill-seeker: The very reason Evaline copied Selina Kyle's mantle as the Catwoman was strikingly simple. The first reason being, Evaline utterly adores cats - especially Kittens! Those adorable little munchkins. The second being, she's a total adrenaline junky. Similar to Selina Kyle, Evaline does what she does just because she can and it's fun , no real motive, no evil intentions- Evaline's mother Delia, has done nothing but encourage her non-malicious-yet-law-breaking way of life. Needless to say, this makes her predictable, and potentially easy to catch.

-Morality: Unfortunately, Eveline actually has a conscience; if the situation calls for it she has no qualms with helping the heroes, which is generally a bad thing because it puts her on the bad guys' radar, gets her into danger, and after it's all said and done; of course, she inevitably ends up hunted by them and the police regardless. A rather boring merry-go-round, no?

-Troubled: In part due to her upbringing, Eveline is stuck in the belief that she can't ever be one of the "good guys" in her mind, she's already a villain no better than the Jokerz, no matter how much Delia tells her otherwise. This fact in and of itself makes it difficult for her to trust, cooperate, or even be around other heroes

"What can I say? A Cat only has nine lives, I better make each and every one count."

Weapons

- Trusty Whip: Extremely versatile, able to work for offence, defence, disarmament, and evasion. Perhaps most importantly is the travelling capabilities.

- Cat Claws: metallic sharp claws built into the better tech gloves; able to be drawn at a moments notice. Ideal for combat, but also climbing.

- High-Tech Battle Gloves: the gloves Eveline wears as part of her suit are optimised to be much stronger. This was a necessity, as trying to combat swords without appropriate protection was a sure way to lose a hand. As an added benefit, she can charge the gloves with electricity for a very small period of time. The voltage is just enough for a powerful shock, able to leave someone stunned. Ideal for a quick escape, the electrical charge tends to be relatively effective with interfering with the functionality of other suits and robotics. This neat little trick however can only be used once every few hours.

 - Lightly Armoured Costume/Suit: whilst Selina Kyle may have travelled the streets wearing little more than latex, Eveline likes to try to minimise potential stabs, cuts, bruises and gunshots as much as possible. Thus, her suit is covered with thin layers of steel, connected by tiny links - though the costume is advanced, it provides basic protection at best - whilst it can stop trivial wounds such as glass, weak bladed weapons, and untrained punches; anything beyond sloppy thugs will hurt - since much more armour  would compromise her mobility and athletics.

"The best thing about the modern age, is there are even cooler toys than back in the Bat's day. Even for me! Here, I'll even give you a special introduction to some..."
