Blake 'Bane' IrinReal LifeName: Blake Irin
Age: 29 (26 when trapped)
Gender: Female
Occupation: Secretary for corporate big-league

Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 115 lbs
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Build: Broad
Complexion: Pale

Personality: Blake is a hardass to say the least. The woman doesn't take shit although she does dish it quite a bit. While normally acting in such a way, she tends to try and stifle her vibrant self around those of higher authority despite how much she has a dislike for taking orders and being tossed around. If someone does manage to loosen the stick from her ass, the woman can almost be kind... almost.
Motivation for Playing: Blake had always been fond of video games, and so she spent her recent paycheck on it. It continued to consume her free time until the incident left her trapped.
History: Most people assume that Blake had suffered some tragic childhood accident to leave her so daring and headstrong... but nope, thats just the way the woman is. She had a rather uneventful childhood and adolescence, she going through life as was required of her. However once going off to college, things seemed to take a turn for the worst. For whatever reason, the scholarship she had received was 'lost' and therefor she was no longer enrolled untill she could pay the tuition fees. Seeing as she was on scholarship for a reason, she was forced to leave and begin working random odd-jobs while looking for a place to stay.

This stage of her life lasted from when she was 18 to around 22 when a guy took an interest in her. But instead of asking her out, he offered her a job at his office. The pay, at first, was miles above what she was currently making, so it made all the sense int the world to take up the offer. But being blinded by some zeros on a piece of paper is what landed her in a rather unfortunate situation. It soon became all too clear that she was nothing more than an object for her boss to stare at when he passed, her pay ever so slowly being reduced with each check that came in.

Even though this wasn't the best place to be working, Blake put up with it. Instead, she ignored him and still did what she was asked. That worked for awhile... but she needed to find another place of employment.
Yet it wasn't as if her boss was going to let his eye candy leave so soon, now would he?

And so she was stuck. That was until the game she had been investing her free time in and escape to each night got her out of that mess, which, seeing as she was still alive, was for the better in her eyes.

Victoria Green
Age(21+): 25 (22 When Trapped)
Gender: Female
Occupation: Journalist

Height: 5' 5"
Weight: 126 lbs
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Build: Slim and toned
Complexion: Pale
Appearance: Image

Personality: As a journalist, she's developed this mindset that she must meticulously report anything of significance, hence, she judges often. Since she's more of a listener, than talker, she's not to bothersome, but others may mistake her silence as a sign of shyness. In general, she's friendly and respectful towards others, until they give her a reason to dislike another, such as rudeness, or a bad attitude. Unfortunately, she's selfish, and would never risk her life in any scenario, making her a survialist.
Motivation to Initially Play and How Long: Originally, she played the game to write an article for a gaming website, but soon found herself addicted to the game's settings, lore, and mechanics. Typically, she plays mainly in her free time, except for holidays requiring her to spend time with her family.
History: She lived a pretty normal life, and faced no major troubles in her life. During her first years of school, she enjoyed writing about any events that occurred in school, prompting one teacher to confront Victoria about her love for reporting the news. The man encouraged her to seek additional outlets, since the way Victoria detailed the events, reminded the man of his early years as a journalist. As Victoria grew older, she became more skilled with her journalism, even working a few internships.

During her youth, not only did she enjoy writing about various events, she also took pleasure in video games. Yet, unlike journalism, her parents dictated that gaming led nowhere, and it would only harm her in the long run. She never truly got addicted to games, but without her parents, she likely would have played games for the majority of her youth.

At the age of 21, she graduated college and used her degree to work as a journalist for various websites. Throughout her career, she found herself interested in writing articles specifically about games, and soon enough she wrote an article on Equinox Online. Yet, unlike other games, Victoria still continued to play the game. The concept, setting, and lore all captivated her, and she began to believe that playing the game gave her some adventure and spice to her life. Finally, without her parents, or anyone to scold her, she enjoyed the game, Equinox Online.

Realisitc Male art.jpg
Name: Francis Wagner, often called 'France'
Age: 27 (Pre) 30 (Post)
Gender: Male
Occupation: Intern (Post Med-School)

Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 182 lbs
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Complexion: Fair

Personality: A true pragmatist, Francis will be the one to give you an answer, without his own emotional bias. He would much prefer seeing positive results come to fruition than make it a sacrifice for his own emotional gain. Due to this mindset, he is often portrayed as nonchalant, or even careless. However, when outside of a situation requiring decisions, he is far from it. Francis is thoughtful and considerate of his friends overall wellbeing, barring when it comes in the way of results, and is even quite childish and a tease when the setting is appropriate. A self monitor of low regards, his thoughts on other's opinions of himself are void, and often jests when being judged. Francis exudes confidence and animation, reliant on his own intuition to guide his actions.

Reason For Playing: Being heavily invested in his studies, Francis had little time to ever venture outside of his home and going out with friends. Videogames were an instant solution, despite the rumors of it 'rotting the brain' or it being a 'waste of time'. The recent release of Equinox Online had caught his attention, due to it being the first fully immersive videogame. Believing it wouldn't hurt to give it a try, he made the purchase and quickly became one of its regular players. His time constraints only allowed him a few hours a week to dive into the game, but a few hours was more than enough for him to become caught during the accident.

Thoughts on Accident: Would prefer the accident didn't happen, and is of the mindset that the players stuck inside the game will have nothing to come back to if they are ever freed. However, is slowly beginning to accept the game as his new life, and is embracing it to its full potential.

Desire to use Caeles: The Caeli are much more powerful physically in comparison to their human counterparts. Francis sees them as an invaluable resource, creating new possibilities that he would otherwise be unable to do on his own. Because of this, he uses his time in them as much as possible, but will sparingly waste precious hours doing something that could be done without them.

History:
Born in an upper-middle class family, and the oldest and only male of three, his life has more than anything, been predetermined. A life with the mindset of keeping his family's economic standing the same or stronger, and providing himself as an example to both of his younger sisters, pushed Francis to live a life that believed everyone was watching. To live and breath knowing that his actions was going to affect someone else in some shape or form, and that he had a reputation to maintain from a young age. It was not the life he wanted to live, but it was not one he could easily turn his back from.

An uneventful childhood made leaving home one of the most vital turning points in his life. He left home in pursuit of higher education as a medical student, with expectations of him still high but his daily life was sure to change. It was at this point of his life that he felt truly like he was independent, and on a day-to-day basis was allowed to make his own decisions. Of course, his upbringing raised him believing that education and wealth was the key to happiness, so that much of his life he could not change and continued to pursue his education. But the idea that he had to maintain such high standards and his reputation was like a lifeline, quickly slipped down the drain into a modern style of living. He grew out his hair, participated in much more public activities, and enveloped himself in hobbies that his family would have deemed as menial or degrading.

As he advanced further into his years of studies, his newfound appreciation for the little things in life became much more strained. With his roots driven into being committed to a task until completion, dropping out of schooling when he was already so heavily invested was not an option. Instead, he chose a hobby that he thought was going to give him much less stress, and also require a lot less time and commitment. But, unbeknownst to him, he had signed himself up for one of the biggest commitments of his life.

OCCUPATION lmao - this boy dont work an honest job

HEIGHT 5' 7"
WEIGHT AND BUILD healthy/lean. 166 lbs
EYES
bright green
HAIR mousy brown, soft, and curly
COMPLEXION huxler smoked, so he used to have a lot of acne. now though, after three years stuck in the game, he's cleared up but will always have some tissue scarring against his tanned darker skin.

R E A L ~ L I F E
personality ;; chaotic neutral
hux is a rotten egg if there ever was one. without an honest bone in his body, he can be a bit hard to get along with. having a natural talent to lie, steal, and con the clothes off somebody's back - huxler's rotten luck landed him stuck in a game he started playing at "a friend's" house. though it should be mentioned, in the world he's in now, that talent does him little good. he's a little less than suave but he makes up for his lack in social decency with an ego that could drown out the sun. over the years stuck in the game, huxler has gone from being an antisocial pain in the ass to just the group's annoying pain in the ass. he will still be difficult, but not difficult just for the sake of being difficult like he would have been three years back. now it's just him feeling strongly that they should be doing things the safest and easiest way. in all reality, he does take pride in the fact that he's shaped up, but still feels like there's a long road ahead for him to 'redeem' himself. huxler can keep a conversation going, flirt shamelessly, and probably make a fool out of himself in the process. whether or not he'd put his life on the line for somebody is a mystery even to himself. he'd like to think that he would and reassure others that 'for sure, id hop in front of a bullet in my human meat suit for ya, man'. all in all, huxler doesn't feel like he has to distance people as much in the game than he did in real life. okay, but his many fears haven't changed much. he still has a phobia of the dark, snakes, heights, and spiders.
motivation to play ;; huxler loves video games, but he's kind of poor? so he never got around to playing it until well after everybody else, with money, had bought the game and settled in. his friend bought the new console and hux hopped on thinking that alex wouldn't be home for a while longer. he's a bit of a freeloader and alex was getting sick and tired of having this irish wanker shacking up for free at his house. hux really just wanted to get under alex's skin when he hopped on to mess with his friend's account - instead he accidentally ended up making his own account. he certainly never would have made the mistake of playing if he knew that not an hour into messing around and getting his crappy Caelis killed twice, he'd be stuck inside his damn friend's video game. he didn't plan on getting trapped in the game, but that's how life went.

huxler's motivation to play the game actually changed the longer he was stuck inside. people got easier to talk to and
tolerate. he was able to rewrite some stuff about himself that he'd been stuck on in the real world. now he plays the game to redeem himself and the toxic person he knew he used to be. he plays so that if and when he ever gets to slum it with the real world again, he can go back out knowing that he's capable of doing something other than what he'd stuck to his whole life. it felt like a punishment going in, but he swears that by the time he gets out, he'll have earned his right to be referred to as a decent human being.
H I S T O R Y
history ;; huxler was born in ireland, to a family that was far too large and far too impoverished. it wasn't the most horrific backstory or even the saddest, by far. he currently has one older sibling and five younger siblings. his father, the town jackass, was pushed out of the family as soon as his older brother, locke, turned eighteen. the two oldest had very different ideas when it came to supporting their family. huxler turned to theft, the easiest and more importantly, the most entertaining way to make a buck. he'd always had kleptomanic tendencies, landing him in trouble almost weekly. from the age of twelve, he'd been snatching things off shelves and pocketing them. events came full circle when huxler turned 18 and was put under arrest for car burglary. He spent six months in jail and had a steep fine to pay off when he got out. by that point, locke was done with him. he's been sort of coasting from friend to friend, getting an odd job here and there. as soon as people take the bloke in, they're just as eager to throw him out. his lifelong friend, Alexander Torressi, a man operating on the higher functional end of the spectrum, finally gave in and offered up a room for hux in his apartment. he's been living there off and on for the past three years before he got trapped in the game. From being that aggravating douchebag who'd throw up a middle finger, he's now an aggravating douchebag who's throwing you the middle finger as a way of saying 'i care about you'.

thoughts on the incident ;;
thoughts? thoughts?! he feels like the accident was a punch in the face and would say that he'd do anything to get the hell out of the game. but at the same time? out in the real world? huxler was a nobody and had solidly kept himself from making any real relationships. he doesn't have anything to go back to, and he didn't have any real motivation to play the game. in the beginning, he was kind of just waiting for other people to solve the problem for him. of course, that's changed over the years but he can still hold out hope that people will eventually get him out of the game.
desire to use the caeles ;; huxler still doesn't really care? but he goes out a lot more than he used to, and while the guy is still too much of a coward to go out alone, he will go out with his party. his desire to play has become a lot more geared towards bettering himself as a person and making sure he doesn't fuck up what he's earned so far. that means he has to prove himself. and he has to use his caeles to do that. three years is a long time to get used to the difference in build, and his caeles was a little more nimble than the others, so it's not all that bad anymore. he's still just.... really really bad at the game. he was always bad at the game. but he tries his best to do right by the people he's learned to care about.

    Name:
    Dante de la Cruz
    Age: 24(before trapped) 27(currently)
    Gender: Male
    Occupation: College Student/Programming Intern
    Height: 6'02"

    Weight:
    200lbs
Hair: Dark Brown, almost black. A bit longer than shoulder length
Eyes: A mix of colors. Depending on the lighting, they usually appear almost red.
Build: Athletic. He's no body builder, but he's not a runt either.
    Complexion: Fair, very mild tan.
Personality: Dante's always been a hard worker, provided you put something in front of him that can hold his interest. Many of his friends readily describe him as stubborn and tenacious, particularly when confronted with difficult programming problems. When he's not buried in code, though, he tends to be rather amiable, rarely seen without a smile. Always eager to try new things, he's made it a point to take at least one class each semester in addition to the usual college courseload just to try something a bit different, whether it be art, dance, or some other obscure subject that's got his attention.
At least, that's how his personality was. The Incident changed him. Although he can still often be seen with a smile, it doesn't meet his eyes like it used to. He now has a tendency towards cynicism, particularly when his medications start to wear off.
Motivation to Initially Play and How Long: He's wanted to be a video game designer for years. Hell, that's why he got into programming to begin with. So when he heard about this virtual reality breakthrough, he had to get in immediately. Dante managed to get in on Release Day and had been a regular player ever since. Experiencing this world inspired him more than ever to become a programmer.
History: For the sake of brevity, the tedious details of his youth will be glossed over. He grew up in a standard house, mom, dad, and a younger sister. Like most kids, he played sports like baseball and soccer, he took karate classes(even though didn't stick with it), and in his free time he plopped himself down in front of a computer or a video game console. When he started high school, he joined the Video Game Development club, where he launched his first mobile game. Although it never achieved viral popularity, it was still his first step on the path towards his dream job. Such experience, along with his grades, earned him a partial scholarship towards his top choice school, where he's now pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Video Game Development. Of course, due to the rigorous schedule and the General Education requirements, he was on a six-year track to graduation. He was about to start his last semester before he became trapped in Equinox.
That day.... That day everything became hell.
He and his roommates, fellow aspiring programmers, were exploring a space station that was filled with enemies. The four of them made one hell of a fireteam. Dante was responsible for DPS, his best friend Gabe was their primary tank, with Trevor and Luke switching off between support and DPS as needed. Although the place was a maze, they were having a blast exploring and, well, blasting through enemies. Dante had just cleared a forward wave, and an ambush wave had just spawned behind them. Then, in an instant, the fun turned to tragedy when the files went haywire.
Fortunately, the space station had air, so, unlike so many unfortunate souls, Dante and his friends survived the initial moments. Unfortunately, the AI didn't turn itself off right away. Dante, to his horror, had to watch as the ambush wave tore his friends apart. Without linking to his Caeles, there was nothing he could do as his friends' screams echoed throughout the station. He hid behind his Caeles, unable to do anything but watch as his friends were slaughtered and the beasts came for him. Just before they could reach him, the AI were shut off...
He was the only one of his friends to survive.
It was a tough thing to handle, knowing that, in the real world, his friends and roommates were now dead... The sight of their bodies being torn apart still tugs at his mind. Like many others, Dante has since been diagnosed with PTSD. He's been informed that doctors on the outside are giving him medication to deal with it whenever he takes a certain pill in game. It helps a little. At the very least, he can fall into dreamless slumber when he's not fighting. That, at least, is a welcome relief from the horrors of his nightmares.

26 (23 before)
Gender:
Female
Occupation:
Waitress/College Student

image.jpeg
Height:
5'6
Weight:
120 lbs
Hair:
Brown and very curly
Eyes:
Brown
Build:
Slender
Complexion:
Honey/tanned skinned

Personality:
Autumn can fluctuate her personality depending on the situation. At times she can be quiet and observative meaning she is either thinking or not trying to get into anything unnecessary. At times she can be loud and demanding, she knows she can't get anything done by being timid. At times she can be sarcastic and funny, she uses this if people are tired or in need of a laugh. At times she can be cold and angry, never mess with her in this state the cause might be when she's under a lot of stress and can't think correctly.

Motivation to Initially Play:
She was never a gamer in the beginning. Rather, she slowly fell into place in the gaming world after she met someone special. When she saw this game she was blown away like everyone else was. She took extra shifts to pay for it and was determined be able to play a virtual reality MMO.
How Long:
Since she saw it at E3.

History:
Building on with what was said above, she was never a gamer until she saw a kid at her school. She saw he was constantly bullied and found him playing a game by himself. She had also felt alone as the fighting between her parents worsened and decided to ask him how to play. At first he was shy and cautious as he talked to her, but Autumn asked him more about the game to put him at ease. She didn't expect to like games, until she was able to play with another person.
At first she followed him with the gaming trends and got excited over games he liked. Then she got more experienced that she was able to keep up with the trends herself. However, she had to move away after her father had won custody over them after her mother passed away. He had given her a MMO on her last day there called Flowers of Relics. Since then, she has been in love with MMO games since she was still able to hang out with him and a whole new array of people online.
When it came to college, she felt her life go into a downward spiral. Her father was getting drunk each night and more abusive. Her boyfriend had been cheating on her. She was started to swarmed with college debts... But it was okay. It was okay because MMO's were there for her. Her virtual friends stopped her from the scary thoughts she had. Then a stroke of luck happened, Equinox Online. She kept up with it on the daily and managed to pay for it through doing extra shifts.
She managed to message her friends who had Equinox to meet up and managed to form a solid team to grind through the beginning stages. Then the incident happened.
Luckily, her friends and her had been trying to lay out a strategy for a quest in the hub when it happened. After that, they decided to stick together knowing the dangers that may come.
Autumn did her best to remain calm and was able to do so with her friends when she heard the amount of people dying. Her thoughts tried to plague her as she wondered if it was all that bad to simply die here. It was far better than her life out there. She could die out there or in here, so why did it matter to escape?
While her sucidal thoughts almost consumed her, she found her whole group to be missing a year into the incident. She looked for them to no avail until she found note saying they were leaving. They had abandoned her.
Distraught and sad, an odd thought came to mind. She was determined to help others get out of the game, and if she was lucky. She will be able to sacrifice herself for the greater good. It was a mix of what her friends stood for and what she desired the most.

Thoughts on Incident:
She was scared at first since she was more worried for her friends than her. Now that she's alone she has a goal to help people finally get out, along with a dark wish. Of course, she can grow out of this wish if she learns how to.

Desire to use Caeles:
She hates her Caeles. To elaborate, she is quite frankly afarid to use it. She hasn't been able to use it since the incident besides a few major cases. She sees her Caeles as the MMO she thought she would be playing. She feels like once she starts using it more it'll become real. She doesn't want to consider the game, real quite yet. She feels like once she does she'll get consumed entirely by her desire to perish only rather than to help. She finds ways to help without using her Caeles.

  • Name: Rui Vanderbilt

    Age: 26 (23 During incident)

    Gender: Male

Occupation: DJ/Musician at the various clubs and bars of Chicago.

    Appearance:
    YbJytZ3.jpg

    Height: 5'3

    Weight: 54kg

    Hair: Black

    Eyes: Red

    Build: Slim/Androgynous build

    Complextion: Pale

Extra: Rui has a number of piercings and tattoos on his body with multiple tattoos covering his chest and back. He posses a tongue piercing as well as a lip piercing with both of his ears being pierced as well.

Personality: His personality is a great contrast from his music and punk/goth appearance, he's quite chipper and kind. He hates to be alone and will try his hardest to group up with people. Even if it's just to give him someone to talk to. He tries his hardest to keep any sort of negative emotions he feels locked away as he'd prefer to express them from his music than anything else. The one emotion he struggles with locking down is anxiety. He's developed a couple tics as he got older, often needing to tap something with his fingers or move his tongue around in his mouth so that his tongue piercing taps against the roof of his mouth or the back side of his teeth.

Motivation to Play: Rui's music is notable in that he uses unorthodox or strange sounds for samples. While he's always liked video games, he saw this game as more of a chance to discover and utilize the various sounds from the game for his music. Over time however, it took up more and more of his free time as he ended up enjoying the game immensely.

History: Rui is just another member of his oddball family. His father is an eccentric painter while his mother is an accomplished play actress and opera performer. His whole family is one that screams strange and has a long line of performers spanning from musicians to carnies back in the 1800s. Perhaps the most notable of his family members is Sylvester Vanderbilt, a Strongman of various carnivals around the United States. A man so strong his fairly likes to claim he only ate meat that was tough to chew so that he could strengthen his jaw muscles. His family also likes the say he wrestled bears in one of his acts, but there's never been any official record of such an event. Every member of the family seems to follow a motto: "Life ain't worth living if you won't be remembered."

Rui had shown to be rather talented at painting at an early age, though not much good at much else. His ability, or lack thereof, at essentially every other subject during his education had left his academic record in shambles, leaving little in the way for potential scholarships. The one thing that gave him the opportunity to attend college was his painting ability, notable by his use of dark colors to give his art a gloomy or haunted feel. His parents had more than enough money to pay for everything anyway.

Rui went to college originally for a degree in Fine Art, to become a painter much like his father. However, during a party he attended during his second year he seemed to have a sort of revelation and changed to study Music Theory instead. What exactly caused his revelation is something he has yet to share, but it was most certainly a combination of psychedelics and blaring surround sound speakers. As he worked on his new found passion, he created a few songs and used them to get himself a part-time job performing at various clubs in Chicago. His unique and very odd style set him apart from others, but many places he had applied to had considered his music either too abrasive or strange. While he had no luck in performing in well known clubs, he found success at more than a one place, often being more bizarre or intense than he was.

He graduated a few months later at 22 years old, however instead of going off and attempting to put his degree and minor success as a DJ to work to get a deal with a label he merely continued playing at the various night clubs, using them as a sort of testing grounds for songs he'd create before releasing them online. All of his music has been released with no consistent artist name, leaving him anonymous to give anyone who listened to his music a sort of mystery to solve to discover who he was.

Equinox Online released not long after and he became engrossed in the game, putting a great amount of his free time into it. That of course would bite him in the ass when the accident occurred, locking him inside the game for the foreseeable future.

Name: Richard Buckley
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Occupation: Mechanic

Height: 6"1
Weight: 180 lbs
Hair: Messy Black
Eyes: Hazel
Build: Rather well built, mostly because of his work
Complexion: tan

Personality: Richard is a very down to earth individual who never seems to have a worry, not wasting many thoughts on what was or what could have been. His mind is always set on the present and thus he can be somewhat impulsive and reckless at times. Once he starts something he intends to finish what he started and does not like getting interrupted while doing it.
Always there for a good laugh and rather chummy, Richard does enjoy the company of others and the more simple pleasures of human interaction.

Motivation to Initially Play:
Richard initially bought the game to have a way to relax after a long day of work and to blow off some steam, yet he slowly grew somewhat addicted to it since when he actually got around setting himself a goal he would strive to achieve it as soon as possible.
The nigh-endless amount of content left him hooked and he's been spending more time on the game than he had originally intended to.

History:
Richard, or Rick, never worried about becoming the next big name on the news but had always been someone to plant both feet firmly on the ground. He was a tinkerer for most of his life, wanting to know how things looked on the inside and how they managed to work. It lead him to become a mechanic, like his grandfather, who spent a lot of time with him to teach him most he knows today.
A mere 23 he'd inherit his grandparent's shop and became a fully fledged mechanic, fixing things has always been what he was good at after all.

Flash forward 3 years: Richard is in no position to complain;
His work is a honest one and he's earning more than enough to support him and his fiancee, he's got plenty of friends to remind him to go out every now and then and with a baby underway he could not be happier.
Life's been good!

Thoughts on Incident:
He is definitely not a fan of it. He has responsibilities and a life outside of the game he wishes to return to. Not having witnessed his child's birth and being cut off from family and friends is weighing heavily on him and he hopes the Dev's get their sh*t together as soon as bloody possible.
Desire to use Caeles:
Richard does enjoy using his Caeles greatly and does so frequently, though it's not overbearingly so. The constructs fascinate him greatly and he wants to understand them in and out, as one would expect from him

AcceptedReal Life Information
Name: Cassandra Newell
Age: 23(20 when locked in)
Gender: Female
Occupation: College Student/Part Time Barista

Height: 5'5"
Weight: 110 lbs.
Hair: Auburn
Eyes: Pale Blue
Build: A bit lanky
Complexion: Pale
Appearance: Picture!

Personality: Cass is a true idealist, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events. Searching for ways to make things better. While she may be perceived as calm, reserved, or more than likely shy, Cass has an inner flame and passion that can truly shine if given the chance. Often drifting into deep thought, enjoying contemplating the fantastical. the hypothetical, and the philosophical. If left unchecked, she may start to lose touch, withdrawing into her own little “hermit mode”, and it can take a great deal of energy from her friends to bring her back to the real world. She would usually be private, reserved, and self-conscious in person, but thanks to her Caeles, she's gotten better at talking to people face to face.

Motivation to Initially Play and How Long: In games, the normally shy and reserved girl was able to be a fun loving and outgoing person safely behind her avatar without fear of scrutiny. This game was her escape from the real world she so feared and allowed her to be the person she wished she could be. Whenever she had time off from work and school, she'd plug herself into the game and play away before slowly drifting off to sleep, sometimes still logged in.

History:
Cass had a very average life. She had a perfectly normal childhood. Raised by two loving parents, mother working retail, father working as a chef for various hotels and restaurants over the years. They were often out at work, so she'd usually walk home from the bus stop, go into her room, and sit read or play video games by herself. Occasionally she'd play with her dad, but those times were few and far between.

In high school, others saw her as different or strange and she had very few friends. To remedy this, she sought out companionship online through chat rooms and game lobbies alike. It was in those chat rooms that she caught wind of the new VR systems and Equinox Online. Receiving them both as a graduation gift from her parents.

During her few years in college, she didn't have a major in mind and just took the basic core studies at a community college while working as a part time barista at a local coffee shop. Spending her off time in Equinox Online. When the game went on total lock down, Cass was luckily in one of the central hubs at the time and remained safe while those out on missions were torn apart.

Thoughts on Incident: At first, she was horrified at what might happen to her real body while she was stuck in the game. As soon as she found out that it was being taken care of in a respected health facility she was fine. After all, she's trapped in one place she'd never really dream of leaving.
Desire to use Caeles: Why would you want to stay in your shitty squishy body when you can hang out in a space ninja robot body?!? She spends every waking moment in her Caeles not to the point of having to be restricted from using it, but close enough to have to be watched just in case..
