Episode 1: Fall of The Republic

It was a normal morning. Masters and padawans alike were training in their hidden temple. All seemed fine. Master Enix Kurosu was shadow sparring on her own with her lightsaber, meanwhile Padawan Aryn Besnik was making small progress on his redirect ability by trying to deflect blaster shots from a training probe. Not much progress was being made, but at least he was trying.

There was a small courtyard in the back. Sadly it wasnt outdoor, but with what technology could achieve, it certainly felt like it.

Master Talena could be found there, simply meditating in the center of the yard. Her eyes wer closed, her hair drawn back in a ponytail. Her Double Bladed saber was laid in front of her.

Padawan Torin could be found on the opposite side of the Hidden Temple, inside the workshop where he was simply tinkering, building small machines to comical purposes. He had music playing lightly in the background as he hummed along to himself, relaxing as he went.

It was dark. But Dennis liked the dark. It reminded him of that time on the space station, fires growing in haphazard place, people screaming and crying in various areas of the ship. And there was such darkness. Not just visually, the oppressive aura of the sith lord that stood behind him was overpowering and overwhelming as he awaited the jedi that would eventually come to take the remaining padawans away. They were all dead however, only the one half-sane human boy had survived the final induction tests that they had run, albeit without part of his mind but that was inconsequential. The sith didn't need his mind, just his innate force ability, the pure, raw, destructive potential that it could bring to the dark side. But Jedi Masters had come and they had defeated the sith lord as Dennis sat nearby, watching in distorted silence as his brain struggled to keep up with the world and his life flashed before his eyes and the screaming and the blood and the darkness and the fire and the sith and the darkness and the flashes of light and the darkness and-

Dennis opened his eyes and the darkness receded from his view, a large training room now coming to light. Dennis was currently suspended in the air, his feet locked in two separate rings that hung from the ceiling as he did the upside down splits. Sighing and gracefully flipping to the floor, Dennis landed lightly on the balls of his feet, knees bent and arms spread outwards. He then slowly stood, stretching his neck to one side before glancing around the room. It was an agility training room with various climbing walls, parkour and assault courses and other assortments of training equipment and apparatus. Stretching his arm now and feeling slightly more limbered up, Dennis took of at a sprint towards one of the longer horizontal climbing walls. It was generally used for that endurance of the upper body strength and handgrip strength training as it was all really close to the ground but it progressively got higher and harder. However Dennis simply wall ran, his feet flashing across each handhold as he sprinted along the wall without pausing or missing a beat. The climbing wall wrapped around the entire room several times, the room being 20x15 metre rectangle, getting higher and higher up the wall until it reached a ledge which was what was deemed as the finish. It generally took climbers half an hour to an hour to scale to the finish if they were skilled. Dennis ran it in two minutes. Eventually reaching the ledge, he stepped off of it to once again land lightly on a platform that was chained to the ceiling. It swung slightly as he landed, but otherwise remained stable. The dark-clad boy picked up his weapons that lay on it, a disc-mounted lightsaber and a lightdagger. The inquisitor saber had been his designated weapon from the sith all those years, a gift from them to him and he had refused to part with it despite the Jedi's warnings. The dagger had been a gift from one of the Jedi Masters, although in reality Dennis had just stolen it from them, but it was the same difference. Hooking the weapons on each side of his hip, Dennis sat down on the platform, moving in such a way that counteracted it's movement, and closed his eyes again. Meditation was one of the key training techniques of the Jedi and despite how boring it was, Dennis had grown to tolerate it. It was a peaceful reminder of the contrast between serenity and the random destructive chaos he always loved.

Shal toh finished taking out the last clone trooper in his squadron before leaving the area as fast as he could. 'The masters were right, it actually happened.' He thought to himself 'I need to warn the others as soon as possible.' He continued to weave through the forest of Alderaan, making his way to his ship but stopping just before he was out in the open. He sat down on a larger tree branch and began to meditate, focusing on sending a telepathic message to the hidden order. "Everyone, the jedi massacre has begun. Masters Windu and Yoda were right. You all need to leave the planet and head for one in the outer rim called Cantros 7. It's out of the republic's reach and have a peaceful people. I will meet you all there. May the force be with you."

With that, Shal Toh opened his eyes and broke the telepathy. Quickly using Force Concealment, he made his way to his ship: a red-painted Y-Wing fighter. As he took off, the remaining clones that were guarding the landing pad began firing at his ship. It suffered some damage, but got out of atmo fast enough to where he avoided getting hit by an anti-aircraft cannon. After breaking orbit of the planet, he immediately activated hyperdrive set course for  Cantros 7.

(The trip will take a few days, you can contact him via holocom if you want)

Enix Kurosu had put away her lightsaber when she got the telepathic message from Shal toh. It took her a full minute to process what she had just been told out of the blue like that. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, calming her mind. Aryn Besnik's telepathic skills were not nearly as advanced enough to fully understand what the message said exactly, but the disturbance it brought was enough to give him the general tone. Enix looked to the other masters, silently requesting confirmation that they had also received the message.

Still meditating on his platform, Dennis opened his eyes as the rough telepathic message was transmitted into his mind. He was probably the worst at telepathy to the point where he rarely ever bothered with using it ever in his training, so the message he received crashed through his mind with startling clarity as his mind was unable to receive it properly and soften it into sense. Throughout the jumble of words, sounds and feelings, Dennis deciphered a great betrayal to the jedis and something about clones, or the republic, or both. And then a smile slowly cracked across his face and his eyes lit up. Of course. The telepathic message stopped in his head and Dennis jumped down from the platform, rolling safely to the floor and stepping through the sliding electronic door with fervor. The Republic had turned on the Jedi, they clones and the government had attacked their sworn protectors- Oh, the irony, the humanity! Dennis' smile grew still until his mouth opened in a crescent as he giggled and laughed at the idea of it. It was such a devious, destructive, dangerous choice of actions, an order from the higher ups most likely. Someone with the same sick sense of humour Dennis had, someone who simply enjoyed messing with what people had spent their lives living for and protecting, ruining dreams and aspirations. A sith, most likely. Somehow, someway, it was the best reason for this traitorous turn of events. Making his way through the temple, Dennis arrived at one of the training rooms, opening the door to find Aryn in there practising his deflecting ability. Dennis had always thought of it as a useless ability as the same exact result could be achieved much more easily with a lightsaber, but he wasn't one to judge. Striding his way into the room, he beamed at the padawan, "Hey! Great news, the Republic are the enemy now! Clones shooting Jedi and we gotta go to the outer rim. Stop with this crap-" Dennis force-grabbed the droid into his hand with a little too much strength and crushed it accidentally. Shrugging dismissively, he tossed it to the side and looked back at Aryn, "So. We should probably head on over to the masters to see what they have to say. Or we can go to the outer rim now if you want, there aren't really many people we can trust anyway."

@Doctor Nope

As Talena rose from her sitting position, she stumbled, feeling a wave of disturbance rush over her. Then, some words. Fuzzy, but understandable. The clones were killing the Jedi. Just the thought of clones reminded Talena of the 401st. But enough of that. She brought her saber to her via Force, leaving the courtyard and went to find the other Masters

Torin tossed the last of the scrap metal he didnt use into a bin before leaving the workshop. As he walked, his vision blurred and he collapsed to his knees. He wasnt known to handle disturbances well. His breathing grew heavy as he had a vision. Jedi falling to....blaster bolts? The flash of white armor. Torin shook his head clear, standing back and broke off into a run, running past the other Padawans

Lets go! The other masters are probably expecting us

Aryn looked at Dennis as his eye twitched a little. "Great news?! How is that gr-- Ok nevermind, this is normal behaviour from you I guess." Now Aryn had to comprehend why Dennis would even consider going out alone. Then again, he failed to comprehend a lot of Dennis' actions. "Well duh, of course we should go to the masters! In our current state, we wouldn't last at all out there alone!" Aryn didn't care much for the training droid, so he was able to simply walk past Dennis at a fast pace to the nearest master.

@Destructus Kloud

Dennis shook his head a chuckled for a moment longer before taking off after his fellow padawan, "You wouldn't maybe, but I can do anything. I am Dennis Darkstriker after all. Besides, you never know there might even be a mole in the Jedi Order for all we know. Or even in the Hidden Order..." Dennis winked slyly at Aryn. It was completely speculation with no basis but Dennis just liked to tease people about serious matters. He was probably very wrong about his apparent prediction, but he didn't care. He'd been through the worst, he had no thought to anything that could possibly surpass that, "Where are the masters anyway?"

@Doctor Nope

Talena walked into the room where the rest of the Masters were located, giving them all nods and smiles of acknowledgement. She then went straight to the point

I believe we all felt some form of a disturbance or hear some form a messages, yes?

She looked around for confirmation from her fellow peers

...

Torin rounded the corner of the hallway, his heart racing. He went for his dorm, and while he was searching for his stuff, his mind went wild. He was thinking of all the different outcomes that could happen and what might happen next. Would they be leaving? Or go into hiding? So many questions were on his mind.

@FabulousTrash

Aryn kept walking forward, trying to ignore his peer's arrogant comments. His mind was more focused on how the hidden order would be able to survive, if it was at all possible. They eventually ended up at the place where everyone else was gathered.

Master Enix responded to the other master, "yes, the message was quite clear. Master Shal toh wants us to meet in the outer rim". Everything seemed pretty straightforward to her, and she didn't want to waste precious time they could be using to regroup with their fellow master.

Talena nodded to Enix, then once again to the other masters

I"ll prepare the shuttle then

Talena walked off to towards the hidden underground hanger. She was the designated pilot should this specific event ever happen. The plan was rehearsed over and over until everyone knew it forwards and back. The Padawans were to gather all the important items in the temple while the other Masters were to rid of any trace of their existence here

@Doctor Nope   @Destructus Kloud

His eyes opened as he heard they were leaving, and they drew to the area he worked at in his room. Raising his hand, his legs set in motion as he went for it, pulling together a cloth he has nicely set together as he folded it, and on either side, there was a small think line of leather to close and seal the tools inside. He looked up and around his room, small things he had made, soon to be all gone. "I am sorry, all of you, but my time is gone..." he said to a bunch of small trinkets and half made droids.

Finally he stood, lifting up his weapons hilt with the force, trying to guide it to his hand as he closed his eyes. He felt a slap against his face, as he opened his eyes and he just took the hilt from the ground and placed it to his belt. Lastly, he took his pack, with the one thing he could use to efficiently defend himself with, somewhat, some food, and what ever else he could possibly need.

He ran, his arms around his tool set and his bag on his back as he moved to where he was assigned, just waiting.

Master Tschiira had been sitting in her own personal chamber meditating when the message cut through her concentration causing her to land slowly back on the ground. " This is bad.. I need to hurry to the others.." She said to herself as she dressed herself quickly and belted her two sabers. She didn't have a Padawan yet as her last one was killed along with her master. The council had decided to allow her time to grieve those losses and regain her balance before allowing her to train another youngling.

She made her way down the temple corridors as fast as she could without raising too much alarm. The last thing they needed was a full blown panic before a plan could be established. She couldn't believe something like this was actually happening. But she also had no reason to believe the message was a lie. She'd managed to skid into the meeting last second to hear the last bits of conversation.

She interjected. " Apologies for being a little late. If we are preparing a shuttle for this it must be serious. Do you want me to run a bit of defense in case things happen faster than we expect?" She asked the other Masters, ready for action as usual.

Enix spoke in response to Master Tschiira. "That would be most helpful, we can't be sure how much we'll be noticed when our shuttle leaves a temple that's supposed to be abandoned". Suddenly, from outside, the noise of an explosion was heard, along with blaster bolts hitting the outside of the temple. Enix hastily pulled up a hologram of the outside cameras, revealing a force of clone troopers attacking the seemingly hidden temple.

"How the hell did they find us?!" The temple shook as the clones breached the entrance.

Having reached the masters, Dennis stared at the hologram in shock, "No way... They're really... They're..." and then that crazy smile spread onto his lips as his eyes creased. He began to laugh, "They're really that stupid!" Dennis remained in his laughing state for a few seconds before turning towards the nearest master, "Alright, you guys can prepare whatever so we can leave, but I own those clones' lives now! I'll be back in a bit-!" He yelled over his shoulder as he took off running. Dennis made his way quickly throughout the temple until he came to a high up opening towards the top of the temple. Looking down, he saw a group of about half a dozen clone troopers setting explosives on the temple's front entrance. Giggling to himself, Dennis' inquisitor saber flashed into his hand and he jumped out into the air above them, falling head first towards the group.

@Doctor Nope @others there

(Gotta hold off our attackers so y'all can run! btw can I control the clones for the fight or will a gm do that? )

Torin had just arrived back with the group. In time to see Dennis run off. Torin rolled his eyes, sighing softly. As much as he knew how capable Dennis was, Torin was still worried. But he knew his priorities. He turned towards Master Tschiira

Master Tschiira, may I be of assistance?

He wanted to help anyway he could, including fighting

(The clones can be controlled by anyone who's fighting them)

Aryn watched in surprise as Dennis went to fight the clones. "............is this guy serious?" He knew that jedi masters had been taken down by squads of clones, so he didn't think it was likely that Dennis would be able to hold them off for too long. He held his lightsaber and looked at it. It had never been in actual combat before, so this was unnerving for him. Once he got oustside, he ignited his golden blade and deflected the incoming blaster bolts.

In the atmosphere, a "republic" star destroyer was visible as were clone dropships that were flying in to join the battle. "..Dennis, I don't think we're gonna last long at this rate" he said with a worried tone. Why were the clones putting this much effort into attacking a temple they only just found out had existed? Unless.....they had already known..? A thermal detonator nearby went off and knocked Aryn backwards, causing him to drop his lightsaber. A clone fired a bolt at him, and Aryn raised his hand to deflect it back. The bolt hit the clone, but only knocked it back a bit. "...OW" Aryn's hand was now smoking from the inefficient energy absorption. He picked up his lightsaber and jump slashed the clone, cutting it down. His weapon had finally claimed it's first kill.

@Destructus Kloud

Dennis landed in the middle of the group having flipped midair to land on his feet, touching down with a slight bend in the knees to lessen the stress on his legs from the impact. Standing to his full height, he grinned at the white-clad clones as a couple looked around at him in surprise. If there was one thing they hadn't been expecting, it was the Jedi to openly come out to counterattack them. Two drew their weapons up to point at him but a hand shot out from the padawan, pulling the blasters from their grip with his force pull, crushing both their hands and their guns. Their cries of pain alerted the others and they turned, weapons immediately aimed at him. The black crystal in in his lightsabre activated as Dennis pressed the button and the dark energy slid from the hilt as he held it in front of him, "May the force be with me. And may my blade be in your face." And with that he seemed to almost fly forward, jumping a spinning upside down in the air as the lightsaber flashed out, decapitating three clones and deflecting blaster shots alike. Flashes of blue energy were sent to and away from the padawan as they shot at him, his inquisitor rotary saber began spinning so the the black sword spun around his hand as he slowly moved towards the 8 remaining clones. Aryn had apparently killed one, so good for him, but Dennis was born to kill and he'd definitely do his life's work, "You might not last long, but I'm Dennis goddamn Darkstriker! I think I already told you, I'm better than your average Jedi. And I can do anything I want!" The blaster bolts repeated reflected back at the clones as they took cover, two more falling to the deflected shots. Dennis grinned as they spread themselves out so he couldn't melee them all at once, "Idiots..." And with that he closed his eyes, took and deep breath and whispered, "Force Speed." His lightsaber began to move in slow-motion, the blue lasers moved even slower and everyone seemed to do everything like they were moving through syrup. Dennis stopped his blade's rotation, jogging past each shot and reaching one of the clones. The clone seemed to struggle to follow his movements in slow motion and tried to look up in an attempt to shoot him, but Dennis' lightsaber cut through the man. The padawan then jogged to the next man and sliced him in half as well. 4 more to go. But then he was suddenly thrown out of his force speed ability as a massive explosion seemed to bloom in his vision. He was thrown back as the doors to the temple exploded. He landed on two feet after somersaulting several times in the air, feet dragging along the floor with one hand steadying himself. Glancing up, he noticed the large Republic Star Destroyer above and whistled in appreciation, "And there was me thinking we were supposed to be a 'hidden' order." He turned to look for his fellow padawan, "Aryn? Why can't you kill them faster? They've already blown part of the temple up, dammit!" The 4 remaining clones peeked over their cover again to fire shots at the two, so Dennis activated his lightsaber again, which had deactivated during flight, so that he could deflect the shots.

@Doctor Nope

"Dennis, I'm a DUELIST, not a troop-mower! The gunships were now firing bolts and missiles, things that couldn't be deflected by lightsabers. And now more troops were arriving. It didn't seem like their attack force would be depleted anytime soon. "Dennis, even if none of them can land a hit on you, they're not going to run out of troops!" This is what Aryn absolutely hated about Darkstriker, he was way too arrogant and failed to recognise the abilities of his opponents. The only thing Aryn enjoyed about him was that he wasn't boring. He had invested a lot of his training into Tutaminis, so he didn't have a lot of other force abilities at his disposal that would allow him to kill as fast as Dennis. Aryn also wasn't used to taking lives, so he was inexperienced in this kind of situation. A clone on a speeder tried to zoom past him and through the now open temple doors, but he cut the engine as it went past, causing the speeder to spin out of control and explode. He rolled into cover behind a pillar to avoid rapid fire from a hovering gunship that was now focusing on him. He used telekinesis to slam the gunship into another that was about to fire a slew of missiles at Dennis, causing both of them to explode. Another gunship started to fire rapidly, and Aryn telekinetically turned it in the directions of the other troops, causing accidental friendly fire and taking out a chunk of the invasion force before the gunship was able to stop firing and deploy its crew. Aryn hoped that the shuttle would be ready soon.

@Destructus Kloud@FabulousTrash

Talena could hear the conflict going on outside. Yes, she worried, but she had her own priorities. She entered the hidden hanger where a semi-large shuttle was waiting for them. She quickly boarded it, powering it on and ran a system check. Since the ship was so old, Talena needed to make sure it would still work

Nav system....check

Hyperdrive.....check

Weapons......check

Life support......check

Talena raised her wrist up, activating her wrist comm and contacted Enix

Master Enix, the ship is ready. Its time to go

@Doctor Nope

Enix nodded and went outside. "The shuttle is ready, get over there!" she ignited her lightsaber and spun it, deflecting several blaster shots with ease. Aryn backed into the temple and went towards the shuttle, as did Enix.

Now the clone force was starting to become almost overwhelming, it was a wonder how none of the jedi had died yet. Enix sent a force push out to topple the first line of clones, which flew backwards and knocked down the ones behind them, continuing for a moment like a domino effect.

@FabulousTrash@Destructus Kloud

Torin heard Enix call out that the ship was ready. He grabbed his saber,  the deep blue blade igniting as he deflected all the incoming blaster shots, moving back as he did. When he reached the hanger, he sheathed his saber, entering the ship. He dumped his bag of stuff into a seat and came up to Talena

Master, may I be of assistance? I can figure out this ship pretty easily

Please. I'll need to focus on flying

Torin smiled, taking his seat in the co-pilot's seat. His flying was decent, but his technological proficiency was, according to him, better than anyone else's. He looked over the ship's systems, doing a second check

He stayed still, taking his pistol out and placing it to his chest, "may the force be with us all," his voice mumbles as closed his eyes, waiting for his time to move. He opened his eyes as soon as he heard someone enter the room he was in, just staying still and then the metallic beast behind him. He turned as soon as he heard it and walked slowly towards the shuttle and he walked just like he would, no rush, just closed eyes.

He entered and moved up as he opened his eyes to the inside of a shuttle, "welp... the force was with me for at least one more time." he said finging his seat moving up behind them, on the first row, waiting now for either death, or to get the hell out of dodge, he would love to be the one to fly, but sadly he was never taught to fly, only to maintain the ship, build the ship from scrap, and do anything else with building in his spare time. His eyes squinted as he looked to his light-saber on his belt.

Then something came into his mind, "wouldn't they just track us after we take off, if they know we are here, or at least the temple is here, wouldn't they have something larger bringing them here, or escorting them?" his mind wandered in worry as he held onto his things.
