Weaknesses

1. Silver is effective against creatures of darkness, such as werewolves, vampires, and witches.

It can kill as long as it pierces the heart (execpt for witches, it simply binds them)

2. Iron effects creatures who are not quite from this realm, such as ghost, fairy folk, etc.

Keep in mind that iron rarely has the ability to kill creatures, it simply weakens them.

3. Shiny objects have been known to attract species that had a tendency to collect things, such as dragons, goblins, and other creatures that keep hoards.

These are mainly used to trap or attract a creature, make sure to have something on hand that can harm the creature when using shiny objects as bait.

4. Weapons with magical powers are the effective against many supernatural creatures. (Sometimes depending on what abilities the weapon posses)

Any weapon with a magical ability is useful. Even if its abilities are not for the creature you are facing, a magical wound is much harder for a supernatural creature to heal and can be deadly.

5. Specific weapons. In some cases a being or species has lore about what can kill them. Although this is not always effective it can be useful knowledge.

Creatures

1. The witch is a human who has be born with or gained the ability to use magical abilities. There are good witches and bad witches, although most people simply grouped them all as bad.

A good witch appears to be a normal human being by almost all accounts. They tend to use their abilities for good, or simply do not use darker magics.

A bad witch either appears mostly normal or much older than they are. (This depends on how well they can handle the stress of using dark magics). They tend to use dark magics, drawing on the life force of other living beings to use for general mischief or to serve a dark purpose.

Beside appearences, they can be told apart by the smell of their breath. A bad witch has breath that smells like blood, mold, and most anything unpleasent. A good witch has breath that tends to smell like fresh fruit, or other good smelling things.

Some weaknesses of a witch are silver, rowan wood, and another witches magic.

Silver can be used to bind a witch, it usually has little effect on good witches, but burns the skin of a bad witch.

Rowan wood keeps a witch from absorbing the life force of whoever holds the staff. When the staff touches a witch it absords magically energy, making the witch weaker. When used on a bad witch that depends on dark maigc it can be fatal.

When witches fight, spells are usually canceld out. If one of the witche participating has a stronger magical gift, then it simple limits thw weaker witch.
