The aged Duke of Coras, ruler of the Imperial Province of Coraspia. Throughout his long reign, lasting nearly a half century, Duke Uriel III has maintained Coraspia's unchanging neutrality in all internal conflicts. This has allowed the vast grain shipments it sends out to continue unabated in times of war and strife, so as to allow the Imperium to continue to feed itself. He is beloved by his people, respected by his enemies, which are few in number and has outlived three of his four children. A long and happy life, the Uriel Coraan is generally considered the "Grandfather" of all for his kindness, wisdom and his opinion when spoken is listened too.

The wife of Duke Uriel III of Coras, she was born in Valais but her family moved to Coraspia not long after another invasion by the Geshkhanate some three quarters of a century ago. She compliments her husband's kind demeanor by spending her time helping out where she can and is a very well beloved figure in her husband's court. Whenever the Duke takes ill it is his wife the Duchess Alexia who tends to act as his regent.

Pelagius Coraan is the Count of Coras, the heir apparent to his father's Duchy. Pelagius is the only surviving child of the Duke Uriel III and Duchess Alexia. His two brothers, one younger and one older, both passed by plague. His sister passed away when an earthquake brought a section of the cliffs crashing into the sea. She was not alone, as thousands perished that day and a monument now stands on the cliff side to pay tribute to those that perished. Pelagius is married to Olivia Feoran, a woman of Coraspian nobility and the pair happily have three children, all of whom are girls. This has secured the stability of Coraspia, and like his mother and father, Pelagius is well loved by the people and is considered a worthy heir to his father.

Was the Lord of Hearthwatch but has since become Lord Regent following his nephew, Cephorus Remanti's ascension as Emperor-Ascendant. Was the brother to the late Emperor Cassian V Remanti. He is a very corrupt and power hungry man, and in his first month as regent immediately consolidated power but reducing that of the Imperial Senate, the Privy Council and the High Court. This is the man that people wish to remove through possible Civil War.

The position of Emperor-Ascendant is given to an occupant of the Eagle Throne who is too young to rule on their own as they have yet to reach the age of majority. This means that a Lord or Lady Regent will be appointed, as per the will of the Ascendant's immediate predecessor. Usually the Lord or Lady Regent is am member of the Privy Council, though a family member of great influence is also a typical choice. If no person has been appointed as such in the will, then it immediately falls to the surviving parent of the Ascendant. So if their father was their predecessor then their mother would be Empress-Dowager and Regent, should their predecessor been their mother it then fall to their father and he would be titled Prince-Consort and Regent. However anyone else would retain previous titles and add Lord or Lady Regent as their primary title. They will rule in the Ascendant's place until such a time as they take the Throne following their coming of age.
