BACKGROUND — Leicester City, United Kingdom seemed like heaven on earth, a thriving paradise for Eva Adams. Born the only child in the Adams family after years of infertility, Eva had spent days upon days alone in her room analyzing and going over every other book she could find to read possible. Over the course of this time, she had found a love for learning and enjoyed sharing this in the classroom. That was, until life decided to give Eva a wake up call. As quickly as she became absorbed with her learning and more goal-orientied of herself, the quicker she lost friends and gained enemies. Once turning seventeen years of age, her father, the patriarch of the Adams’ family, announced he was going to be promoted to elite co-manager of the local shoe industry company he was working for. This then forced the small family to pack up from their dearly loved suburban home to move into a tightly packed apartment in East Park. The days seemed to fly by as she was enrolled into East Park High and sent to school in a matter of weeks. Her parents were far too exited for her, but Eva was never ready to move to begin with. She is very new to the school and is interested in making some actual friends and possibly joining a few academic clubs

Kateryna is a quieter type. She tries to avoid being the center of attention at all costs and freezes up if she feels targeted or she's being put on the spot. Except in class. When she's called on by a teacher, she is stellar. School is where she focusses all of her energy. She loves the swim team and enjoys Aca-Dec, or at least competing in it. Her sports, school, and club time is her favorite time, and she is wickedly competitive when it comes to those things. She is very future-minded, always thinking about the end goal, but is almost always overly tense- unless she's in the water, then she's perfectly focused as well as relaxed. Kat is very witty when she wants to be as well. Although she isn't big on adventure or party-type stuff, no one has really ever taken the time to invite her.

Yelizaveta's parents immigrated to the US when she was nine. With a fashion model for a mother and a hotshot lawyer for a dad, getting to the U.S. was easy and they settled well in New York. It actually took her a very long time to get used to it. Back in Ukraine, she had been happy, with her nanny and her parents, and all her friends. When they moved, despite her parents' attempts to get her excited for the big 'adventure', she became difficult and unruly. For a long time, she refused to even try to learn English, which made her school life difficult. Because of the language barrier and her constant grumpy nature, she didn't make new friends in elementary school. The summer before she entered middle school, at the age of twelve, she had a change of heart. Her parents took her on a tour around the States. At first, she was only impressed at the beautiful landscapes she occasionally saw, but then they stopped at Harvard. They had hired a tour guide for the full experience, and the woman showing them the campus happened to be a Ukrainian immigrant just like them. She explained a bit about her time at the school as well as its history and Yelizaveta fell in love. When they returned home, she had gathered as much Harvard merchandise as her parents would buy her, which was quite a bit as they were rich and happy to see their daughter showing a real interest in something for the first time in years. She covered her room in memorabilia and began working her but off to fully immerse herself in her schooling. From her research, she knew it took a lot to get into any Ivy League School. Still, even when she had mastered the language and began to participate in school, she wasn't great at making friends. Early on, in Ukraine, she had been an extremely social girl, but she didn't connect well with the kids in her school. For her 6th through 8th-grade years she became the target of bullies, either for her accent, for her name, for her height, for her 'nerdiness', or even for her fluffy ginger hair. Her parents had enrolled her in a private school to give her the best education they could, but the kids there were brutal. At first, she might have tried to defend herself, but after a few months, she decided they weren't worth her time. Ignoring people became a skill she had honed to perfection and wielded well. Still, bottling stuff up was never the best solution and she threw herself further into her studies, sports, and clubs to block it out further. In her clubs, she excelled and it would carry into her high school life as well. In her eighth grade year, her parents found out about her struggles with people at her school. As soon as the school year was over, they moved to Maine, where both her father and mother could still work, but she could get a fresh start. She stopped going by her first name. She even stopped telling it to people, realizing that after having it taunted at her she just didn't like it anymore. She also finally masted her American accent, though the Ukrainian one slipped in from time to time like when she got upset. Socially, she didn't try much in high school, but she was always open to meeting people if they took a chance on her. She got pretty close with some of the people on the swim team and the aca-dec team. Still, she usually wasn't the type to seek people out unless she is really intrigued or feels threatened- either academically or in swim. Also, despite her parents being well off financially, they taught her the value of hard work, so that's what she does even if it does sound mildly cheesy...

— PERSONALITY: Ross can seem sort of detached—from a conversation, from the people around him, from life—and he is, to some extent. Because of how he grew up, he has a hard time opening up to people. — BACKGROUND: Raised by a single mother with two younger siblings, Ross had to grow up sooner than most. His absentee father left them soon after his twin younger siblings were born, when Ross was 4, and he has a new, better family somewhere, supposedly. Because their mother worked full-time as a nurse, as soon as Ross was able to babysit, that's all he could ever really do. Because he was always taking care of the family and they were always struggling financially, he wasn't really able to make friends with people his age.
When Ross turned 16, his father tried to reach out to them again, wanting to get to know his children better. Shockingly, both his younger siblings were willing to give the man a chance, while Ross remained bitter about the whole ordeal. A situation was agreed upon by their parents in which the twins went to go stay with their (now wealthy) father and his other family. Even though Ross could tell his mother was hurt by their decision, financially, it was best for everyone. Ross's bitterness has accumulated, leaving him idle now that his duties as caretaker have been relieved. His behavior has become increasingly volatile, damaging his relationship with his mother, but everything about the situation just left him feeling especially angry about everything. Without the twins, he feels like his life is a bit meaningless now, which is the most prominent cause of his now apathetic approach to life

Seb was born to a single mother, and CEO. Most of his childhood was spent with a sitter. The only influence his mother had was occasionally sending money to him from overseas on one of her long business trips. He didn't share much of his life with her and she didn't share much with him. She made it pretty clear that he was not her top priority, but that he should respect her as she provided him with a pretty decent life, and a great reference for his Resume. Sebby would appriciate some time hanging out with her but the last time they had done something together had been when he was seven years old and they'd gone to a hotel together. Even then it was only because the sitter had fallen ill last minute and she had no other choice.

Given he had very little guidance in life he pretty much does whatever he please. He was always the go to for big crazy parties, he pretty much knows everyone in the school to fill the void in his life left by his family. He doesn't really like classes and plans to go to trade school after he finishes high school and become a barber, since he's pretty good at styling hair. He's never had issues dealing with his sexuality because he was so likable and had such a good reputation built for himself by the time he dropped the "Gay" Bomb on the school that he had an army of people who accepted him to counter the minority who rejected him.

Recently he has heard some news he isn't fond of. His mother is moving back home and leaving her job in account of her recent pregnancy to a boyfriend whom Seb has never even met. They will both be moving into his HOUSE with daughter from a previous marriage. Seb had gone from having the place to himself to suddenly being a part of a family that his mother cared enough about to ditch the most important thing in her life for: Her job. Seb isn't dealing with this very well, and is determined to dislike his new step father and step-sisters. Plus, the new guy is an ABSOLUTE dick, and is constantly ripping shreds off of him for his sense of style and dating preference.

Gabriela grew up as the perfect child in the perfect family. Although she never knew her mother as she had died of cancer not long after she was born, her father was her hero. He absolutly poured every bit of love into her upbringing, and although they struggled for money, they were happy. He was a trucker, so the two of them lived on the road most of her younger years, and then when she began school he had to leave her in the care of her french Grandmother Ines Babin. Ines was a wonderful lady. She taught her how to speak her mothers native tongue, and taught her the value of language. She loved learning so much, and she was extreamly curious as a child. She was ALWAYS asking questions and soaking up the answers like a sponge.

Her grandmother also taught her it was important to be both ladylike and polite. She was taught to study hard, to stay away from boys, angry music and drugs, and basically that the world was a terrifying place and she should be cautious of everything. She took all of this in and has promise she will never get up to any trouble. At her school she was always top of her class. She had a few good friends and they were all girls just like her.

When her father met her new step mother she had never seen him so in love. He had managed to get himself a local delivery run job in a small american town so that he would only be away for a few days at a time rather than a whole month. She went to live with her new step mother and her son, Sebastian. She is having real trouble making friends with him as he doesn't seem to want to, but she had no issues fitting in at the new school. She joined the swim team, and began taking japanese lessons and she spoke to everyone who would listen to her and immidiatly made herself some new friends.

garnet wasn't always the strange little bug you see before you, but it's nigh impossible to remember a time they weren't. though they were born in ireland, they were orphaned for years before finally moving into a home. they were often considered a "mystery child" -- nobody seems to know where they really came from, or who their family was, only their birthday and nationality. they were adopted by a family of american "new-wave" parents at age eleven after years of being tossed from foster home to foster home, each time returned into the ever-cycling system due to a difficult attitude. oftentimes they wouldn't eat, or participate in any school activities to speak of. their new sort of hippie family felt fully confident that they could rehabilitate the strange child, then known only as 'saoirse'.

eleven was, perhaps, a few years too late. garnet hastily came out to their family as nonbinary as soon as they realized (age 14), but attached no feelings to it. their siblings rarely associated with them, and they were more content to shout at animals, break and re-build things, and most of all, make art. garnet's homestead became full of their grotesque visions. paintings, sculptures, creations of all sorts. their parents were all about artistic expression, but this was just a bit too much. caving into the government doctors they hated so much, garnet was checked out by a neurologist, who discovered they were incredibly intelligent, with high cognitive capabilities. uncertain what to do, garnet's "new parents" sent him away one more time -- this time, to live with their aunt, who was possibly now their mother.

gretchen thorne, who lived in east park, was far stricter than garnet's previous parents. she attempts to this day to stifle his wild mind -- but to no avail. garnet is already far, far too free.

  In the Yang household, family is a treasured idea. Since her parent's marriage, her older brother's birth, her own birth, and their little sister's birth, Katie has never known more than the family dinners with a lack of technology present, family trips to rejuvenate and relax, and family outings, whether they were going to Alex's soccer games or Lisa's ballet recitals. Unlike many others, Katie had a somewhat normal childhood, living under a blanket of warmth and contentment.
  
  When her mother was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer three years ago, the family began to fall apart. Chemo treatment was set up for immediately, but the family knew that her mother's cancer was spreading, and that it was incurable.
