Contractor Profile Record

Alias: (Never share your full name. Some Entities will be able to use it against you.)
Age: (Contractors measure their age by the years they've survived. Because of the sheer danger of their work, every year is highly respected and treated like a revered status symbol. Living past one year already means a Contractor is regarded highly, even by official standards, recognized as a 'First-Class' Contractor.
Feel free to leave a real age too though, if you want.)
Height/Weight: (The agency wishes to know what shirt size to get you. Go team!)

Trace Records: (Essential highlights on notable periods of your life. In other words, a short bio. With the world rebuilding after global disaster, and world powers changing hands to unexpected places causing great levels of unrest, it is no wonder Entity attacks are so common. Contractors are very sought after. But their jobs, while well-paying, is one where only those with nothing left to lose partake. Or ones with a death-wish. If a contractor lives long enough, and is deemed reliable, it is not uncommon for a local area or town will depend on them to deal with Entities, similarly to police sheriffs. The best are inducted into the government ranks as a Civil Contractor, where they will receive priority treatment. This means they are given the opportunity to visit various Containment Facilities, to pick from -Isolation tier of Entities. These Civil Contractors are the first responders to major disasters involving Entities, and are often sent as a containment team when a dangerous Entity re-emerges. They are also tasked with leading exploration teams to the highly dangerous 'Eclipse tainted' lands of destroyed nations, known as Fall Sectors.

When writing your bio, feel free to throw in some world-building. Just imagine a modern new frontier feeling, but with an esoteric twist! With the need for globalization, people go out in droves to reclaim lands as a means of new opportunities. It isn't uncommon for people to do nightly patrols, driving off spooky monsters that creep up on borders around construction teams and outpost towns. Keep in mind the changed world borders, due to the destruction. For example in the United States, there are only 41 states remaining. I'll approve it if I think it's fitting to the setting.)

Exploits: (If you're new, you probably won't have much. But making a contract with an Entity is seen as plenty brave. Most contractors don't long enough to have a big list anyway. Those who do, now, they might be even scarier than the monsters they hunt. Remember to keep it short. Only the big things. We don't care if you can kill a radish entity. An old farmer with a cataracts in one eye can do that, given he busts out ol' reliable from the shed. Eh, most of the time.)

Contracted Entities: (Now this is the important bit. List out every single entity you are in contract with. And don't try to lie, we'll know.)

(Contracts must be consented by all parties. Government Contractors are able to 'coerce' captured Entities into forming contracts. Therefore, it is easier to get into contract with a more dangerous and powerful Entity this way. In any case, the power gained is always equivalent to the amount lost. A powerful Entity does not always mean it is more intelligent, but all Entities, dimwitted as some would seem, fully understand what is said to them. It is not uncommon for very deadly Entities to recognize their value, and refuse to lend its power to anything but a very steep price.

The nature of a contract itself can be complicated, as some prefer different methods of doing them. Some outline very specifics, others just go by feel and trust their gut as one cannot lie during a contract. But all contracts must follow certain rules in order to be recognized by the Contract Entity.
The lines uttered are not strict, but they must include an instigation of intention, i.e. one party must make it clear they are proposing a contract.
Second; there must be an acknowledgement of said proposal by the tagged party.
Third; The Bargain -- Both sides must now decide what is gained and what is lost.
Fourth; If the terms of Bargain are agreed upon, all sides must state that they accept the contract, thus Finalizing it.
All things lost and gained are exchanged as soon as possible. Neither side can change their terms past this point.

A contracted Entity will now make its seal upon the wielder. The powers, or the Entity itself, will appear from this seal. These seals can take the form of many things, body markings, objects, even as simple as just following the Contractor. Whatever it may be, it MUST be a physical object of some sort.)

New York Agency of Civil Contracts - EE Dispatch Unit
Images PENDING

Alias: Tangan
Age: 6 months
Contracted Entity(s):
Hand Entity

A middle aged man from what is formly Malaysia, but is now part of the South Asian combined super-nation. He is rarely seen not sleeping at some random nook around the Agency. If one can even catch him around the Agency at all. The extreme workaholic is constantly already off fulfilling requests from the Request Board when there is no state of emergency requiring the full force of the EE Dispatch Unit. He prefers to go alone since the reward wouldn't be split with anyone else, but is often chastised for his behavior by the Lieutenant. He is incredibly avaricious and impatient, always figuring out ways to save money.

Alias: Two-Face
2 Year(s)
Contracted Entity(s):
Mask Entity
Traffic Entity

The Lieutenant of the EE Dispatch Unit is a friendly and social face, a reminder that not everyone loses their humanity in the life of being a Contractor. Depending on which of the Lieutenants shows up to work that day. The Lieutenant identifies her alternate personality as a 'second face'. Based on their contract, the 'Mask' is allowed to take control of her body for one half of the day, at her own choosing, free to do whatever it desires. A wild and reckless type of persona, this 'second face' appears to be everything the Lieutenant is not. Though it understands limitations, refraining from doing things that would get the Lieutenant thrown in prison.

'Why? It's simple. I wanted a body to be free. Not to be stuck in another cage. If I have to follow a few rules, so be it. Now fuck off. I've got a mosh-pit to go crash tonight."

Alias: Sanction
Age: 3 Year(s)
Contracted Entity(s):
Routine Entity
Cage Entity

The Captain of the EE Dispatch Unit in the Agency of Contracts in New York -
From the very way the captain dresses, owning a specific set of clothes for each individual day of the week, to the way he always has to drink the same coffee every day, made in the same motion with the same ingredients, the captain lives up to the word ‘Obsessive-Compulsive’. Giving up his free will in order to follow the routine of his Entity, he overcomes this by planning around and being efficient with this time during 'break periods' between forced schedules.

Alias: Roundabout
Age: 1 Year(s)
Contracted Entity(s):
Spiral Entity

A new contractor to the NYACC might mistake the young man meandering around in pajamas to be some sort of lost bum who wandered accidentally into the building. And they would be half right. Roundabout is known for his unique topographic disorientation, the price of the contract of his Entity. He is capable of losing his way even in the same room at times. It is so bad he is given special privileges and has converted one of the offices into a small living quarter so that he makes it to work on time.

Alias: Jane Doe
Age: Unknown
Contracted Entity(s):
Sickness Entity

There are very few people within the agency who have worked with Jane, let alone know of her existence. There are stories of an energetic young girl buried underneath a medical mask and safety gloves, donning a bright blue and yellow raincoat, who appears whenever the agency is at its odds.

Alias: Birdcage
Age: 3 months
Contracted Entity(s):
Gate Entity

The purpose of this CS is to give people a rough idea of what to expect from a CS. It's not perfect, but it includes all the key points I want to be in a sheet. I haven't included formatting, so that you can choose to go about it any way you desire. Be creative with it!

Alias: Cliff
Age: 1 Year
Height/Weight: 152cm. 135kg.

Trace Records:
Coming from the 'land down under', Cliff regards the sinking of the Australian continent in a humorous light. Probably because it is easier that way.

New York City wasn't the friendliest place for a growing child even before the Afterlight, so one can imagine what it was like during the emerging global threat of otherworld monsters. As a major international hub city with a large harbor, it was natural that NYC became a hotspot for mass migrations and disaster relief efforts. Overnight the city was packed wall to wall, crammed full confused, scared, and desperate people. And it seemed to be no end. With the sheer number of rescue boats and emergency planes arriving, one might look out on the horizon and think that the stars in the sky had doubled. Not to mention the injured. How is any one city supposed to conduct itself with streets filled with dying people? Even the most business days of Time Square paled in comparison. There weren't enough doctors and staff in the whole world to deal with the amount of bloodied and beaten people who littered the roads outside of the hospitals. If it wasn't bad enough, the Entities appearing from the woodwork and tearing into unsuspecting crowds made it feel like this was humanity's last day on Earth.

'Sometimes, looking back on that day, I wonder if this hell, this Eclipse, wasn't right there on Earth already...'

It seemed humanity had nowhere left to run. It is a wonder how Cliff even manages to smile and joke as much as she does, considering she had front row seats to these dark acts in the grand theatre of human history

Needless to say, her reintegration process as an immigrant back into regular society didn't pan out very well. Take a city boiling with pain and hate, and throw a child for whom they blame for it. Does one even need to go into the police records? We'll be here all day.

They were cleared, however, by an Civil Contractor known as Black Friday. An ace, a legend in their own right. One of the few Contractors that has lived past 4 years. Probably the luckiest, or unluckiest, depending on how you view it, break of her life.

This was how she got her foot in the door. Whoever she was before, the moment she stepped through, it fell away to the Cliff we know now. The loud-mouthed chronic smoker, obsessed with showing off her endless trophies and accolades. And Cliff looks like she's having the time of her life. Perhaps she enjoys the work a little too much. But one could argue this constant adrenaline fueled roller coaster of a job has allowed her to work past her internal problems... in a more productive way. Sometimes, things work out just fine after all.

...
Exploits:

-- Case #3401 from the South Carolina Agency of Civil Contracts.
Cliff was part of an Emergency Response Team in the year -redacted-. The team managed to rescued an account of four families and detained -redacted- Entity in an incident known as 'The Sedona Smoke Rings'. Two known casualties, fellow Contractor known as 'Black Friday', and the youngest of the 'Espinosa' Family. Both are deceased.

-- Participation in sting operation codenamed - 'Roses From Augustine'
On date -redacted- at location -redacted-, a criminal cult known vaguely as the 'Hands of Augustine' was intercepted by a Civil Contractor Unit where they were caught in the act of illegal possession and transportation of EE's. Unsurprisingly, several members of this group have unregistered contracts with several of these Entities. The culprits resisted arrest and a fight broke out between the two parties. Though the operation was ultimately a failure, with an unknown number of rogue Contractors managing to escape; Cliff has reported 4 confirmed members of the cult killed, their entities eliminated during the conflict. Those identified were linked with several other cases across the East Coast. However, with 1 successfully detained, the mission was not a complete failure. They have undergone questioning and is now held in Containment Vault -redacted- . Case still undergoing investigation.

--Local Report from a small recovery town in Colorado.
Successful elimination of -Proximity Threat identified as the Wolf Entity.
Cliff notably asked the Agency to donate her portion of the payment to an orphanage in New York.

Contracted Entities:
Broccoli Entity // -Recon Threat - Cliff lost the sensation in both of her pinky fingers in exchange for all the power it possesses, contract lasts until death.
Contract Seal: The seal is a small piece of black broccoli she carries around. The Entity will emerge from this object. Cliff is known to allow the Broccoli Entity to exist outside of its condensed form and follow her around. This is not part of the contract.
From testing reports, the Broccoli Entity has the ability to rapidly grow and enlarge its 'head' to many times its original size. It can also shave off its head without doing much harm to itself, if at all. This head can explode leaving an area covered in thick plant-based organic matter. Chunky oil would be a close comparison in texture. The only other notable trait of this entity is its relatively high level of physical strength, that of two fully grown human males.

Cigarette Entity // - Proximity Threat - Cliff gave up her right eye in exchange for its lungs. Contract lasts until death.
Contract Seal: A cigarette that never burns out. Kept inside a metal case.
The Cigarette Entity's lungs allow Cliff to be immune to nearly all airborne chemicals that would affect her lungs and breathing, as their lungs acts in proxy. Another benefit she gains from this Entity, is the ability to expel large amounts of smoke from utilizing the Contract Seal for 10 whole seconds, rapidly filling up a huge area and making it unbreathable. The smoke is known to be unusually hot, otherwise containing a similar property to cigarette smoke.

Rust Entity // - Proximity Threat - Cliff gave up capability in her remaining eye, forfeiting the ability to see the colors Green, Orange, and Purple in order to use the Rust Entity in entirety. Contact Lasts 4 year. 1 year has already elapsed.
Contract Seal: A blade and sheathe in the shape of a black Chinese 'Jian'.
The blade itself, when taken out of the scabbard, seems to be entirely rusted over and chipped, barely half the length of a full blade. Anything that the blade touches appears to rust on contact, outside of the user and the scabbard itself. This includes non-metals. This rust is able to rapidly expand, spreading both inwards and across the surface of an object. At any point, Cliff is able to say 'Crumble' causing the Rust Entity, a slim being skewered by rusted blades and knifes, to appear and rip the rusted parts away and absorb the pieces into itself. This will cause the blade to grow in size and durability in proportion.

Contractor Profile Record

3d08b0fdc4292a17975d414f68dfd0a2.gif
Alias: Law
Age: 3 Years
Height/Weight: 160cm/60kg

Trace Records:
The edge town of Lowell suffered a drought and diseased harvest, which eventually attracted an Eclipse Entity of Famine to the town. The man that now uses the alias Law was not present in the town at the time of its destruction, having relocated to the city for a period of work to earn money. It was shortly after he returned to the town that he became a Contractor to an Eclipse Entity of Retribution and destroyed the Eclipse Entity of Famine. There were no survivors other than "Law", and the entire village and surrounding area was left uninhabitable from the conflict. But Law had gotten his revenge on the monster that had caused the deaths of his hometown, his family, his friends, and the one he'd been planned to marry upon his return. Since that day he's lived with the goal of slaughtering those Eclipse Entities that slaughter humans. Wandering from place to place chasing rumors of where an Entity may be causing tragedy, he always shows up after a tragedy and reduces the monster responsible to ash, always managing to be just a moment too late to save a life.

Exploits:
Lowell Firestorm Incident - As a fresh Contractor, Law's first conflict was with a Proximity-class Famine Eclipse Entity that had defeated or repelled four other Contractors up to that point. The extreme heat he used to incinerate that Entity reduced everything in and around the village to ash and slag, leaving the region less inhabitable than when the Famine Entity had been present. The only physical record of this conflict aside from its fallout is a picture of a pillar of fire rising into the sky taken from a town miles away.

Verro Piper Incident - A relatively minor Recon-class Eclipse Entity had been stealing away children in a small town named Verro. Law and another Contractor were both looking into the incidents. The other Contractor located the Entity first but lacked the power to deal with it. It was only after the Entity killed the child it had captured that Law took action to incinerate it. This was merely the first incident where he seemingly let a person die that he could have saved, which lead to him having a bad reputation among other Contractors.

Burning of Alloway - A massive Disaster-class Eclipse Entity formed entirely out of toxic pollutants crawled out of the river into the city of Alloway and spread death through the streets as it feasted on factory buildings and the people within. Contractors rushed to the city but found themselves unable to deal with the massive Entity. It was Law's flames that were eventually able to burn the creature away, but the smoke from burning the thing's toxic body resulted in about as many deaths as the creature itself. This furthered Law's bad reputation and added a tendency for collateral damage to his repertoire.

Contracted Entities: Law has a single contract with an Entity of Retribution that he refers to as Talio. Talio is technically classified as an Emergent-class Eclipse Entity due to the lack of information about its true power, but due to it taking out a Disaster-class Eclipse Entity it should be treated as such itself. The terms of the contract are that Talio will grant Law all of the power necessary to inflict an equal amount of punishment onto one whom has caused loss onto others. It's a power that can only be used for revenge, which requires there to be victims, making Law powerless to proactively prevent tragedies from happening in the first place. Not only is he powerless to do so, the price in his contract physically prevents him from acting to stop an initial tragedy, since that would work against Talio's desire to take revenge. Law is compelled to take revenge for harmful acts he witnesses, and should he decide to stop taking revenge on others and willingly end the contract, Talio is bound to use its power to take revenge on Law for all the Entities he's killed. The contract's seal begins as a small collection of burns on the left side of Law's body - a blackened scar around his ring finger, five holes burnt into the skin over his heart - but those burns rapidly spread to cover more and more of his body when he uses Talio's power.

Alias: Witch Boy

Age: 1 year and 11 months

Height/Weight: 5’10”, 130lbs

Trace Records:

When you lose everything you hold dear, your dreams are all that you have left. When Witch Boy’s family died in a frontier town in Hokkaido when a host of entities moved into the region. Rescue arrived too late and a third of the residents had perished. The survivors were relocated to Kyoto, where Witch Boy became the target of a Dream Entity. The pleasant and sometimes depressing dreams the boy had about his lost family every night drew the creature to him. It was the entity that proposed the contract and while he was cautious and scared to sign away his dreams, emotions, and his hand, Witch Boy eventually agreed with the hope of avoiding such loss in the future and preventing others from feeling it as well.

His defense of Kyoto during a proximity entity attack earned him the attention of the Japanese government and he was recruited to their Civil Contractors program. He had no complaints about his time there until they sent him to Hong Kong. Although Witch Boy was unable to love others, he had made several friends who he trusted and relied upon. The mission to Hong Kong cost all of them their lives and when he requested to be sent elsewhere, the bosses ignored him. This forced Witch Boy to go rogue.

He fled Japan and has been working his way west as a freelance Contractor for almost a year now.

Exploits:

Kyoto Light Show - His first operation, the city of Kyoto was being attacked by a Proximity Threat entity. Majority of the military had failed and Civil Contractors had yet to arrive on the scene. The record breaking storm which occurred the same night had hindered the arrival of any reinforcement. Witch Boy was present however and harnessed the energy in the storm clouds as a weapon. Bolt after bolt of lightning rained down on top of the entity, but it wasn’t until Witch Boy hit it with five bolts at a single time that the creature died. The bolts produced so much light that they could be seen on opposite ends of the island.

Operation Liberation - Hong Kong had been destroyed, but the Japanese government saw the opportunity to claim and restore it when others had abandoned it. The Island had become a nest for entities feeding on the trapped populace. Witch Boy was part of a squad sent to secure a foothold for the Japanese military. It took months and several Contractors died to entity raids on the site, but eventually they raised a military outpost. Witch Boy has not returned since the close of the mission.

Contracted Entities:

Dream Entity // - Disaster Threat - Witch Boy sacrificed not only his past and future dreams, but also his ability to feel wonder, love, and the use of his right hand. The contract is for life and grants him full access to the entity’s powers. The full range of the Dream Entity’s power has not yet been seen, but it is believed to be capable of disaster level destruction.
Contract Seal:
57040484b1b60266eb0a56e967370ec0.jpg
This symbol has appeared on the back of Witch Boy’ neck like a tattoo. The entity appears as an aura around Witch Boy, royal purple in color.
Testing has shown the Dream Entity to be capable of manipulating energy and molecules that cause natural phenomena. This allows Witch Boy to create force fields and produce bolts of energy that can have different effects depending on the type of energy used. Manipulating molecules give him minor control over inorganic matter, but he uses this power to manipulate and create the basic elements of the world such as water or fire.

Drawbacks:

Because of his crippled emotional state the abilities of the Dream Entity draw strength not from Witch Boy's emotional connection to things or people. but from his physical form. While his actual physical strength plays a part in the way he can use his abilities, stamina is far more important. Bolts of energy are simple tricks that while draining, don't require much energy. However something like creating flames or torrents of water can take its toll and leave him feeling tired much sooner and something like capturing and manipulating lightning will render him unconscious almost immediately. While the possibilities seem endless, improving on the elemental side of his abilities require Witch Boy to improve his knowledge of molecules and the ways in which they move, work, and interact with one another. The same goes for his use of energy. He must learn more about its many forms and applications in order to do more with it.

The elemental aspect of Witch Boy's powers are also hindered by his need for an "incantation" that while helping him to focus on his intention, makes his next move known to his enemies as well. It also delays the use of the technique. Grander techniques require a ritual setup to channel and focus the energies needed. Often times this takes the form of arcane symbols drawn out on any surface, and time for an incantation to be recited.

Message From Forget-Me-Not

XX/XX/20XX
Hello, me.

01001110 01100101 01110110 01100101 01110010 00100000 01100111 01101111 01101110 01101110 01100001 00100000 01100111 01101001 01110110 01100101 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01110101 01110000

Don’t dismiss this message. You don’t remember typing this missive — you also don’t remember much of anything else — but there's a reason for this. Nine months ago, you made a contract. Payment is your non-core memories in installments, due every month. Don’t bother looking at the date, it’s not the first. I’ll give you some proof first. Look in the locked filing cabinet under the desk, the key is 4E6F74616B65790A. In the second to last drawer is an ID with your face and alias, the alias above this message. Mirror is in the room to the right.

01001110 01100101 01110110 01100101 01110010 00100000 01100111 01101111 01101110 01101110 01100001 00100000 01101100 01100101 01110100 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01100100 01101111 01110111 01101110

Not convinced yet, are you? Go back to the cabinet, underneath the last drawer is a false bottom — open that using 4E6F746F70656E696E670A. In there you will find this exact message, but written in your handwriting. Go on, there’s paper and pen right beside this display.

01001110 01100101 01110110 01100101 01110010 00100000 01100111 01101111 01101110 01101110 01100001 00100000 01110010 01110101 01101110 00100000 01100001 01110010 01101111 01110101 01101110 01100100 00100000 01100001 01101110 01100100 00100000 01100100 01100101 01110011 01100101 01110010 01110100 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101

Now you’re swayed a little, but not enough. You’re getting irritated, and you don’t want to play find-the-clue any further. Just know you left yourself one last thing: you recorded a video of yourself speaking this message. If you’re vexed that you didn’t tell yourself sooner, don’t be. Take it from your former self, you wouldn’t have believed in just one piece of evidence.

01001110 01100101 01110110 01100101 01110010 00100000 01100111 01101111 01101110 01101110 01100001 00100000 01101101 01100001 01101011 01100101 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01100011 01110010 01111001

You grew up in a city by the name of Ica, situated in Peru, a country in South America — you can search up the rest yourself, the internet is at your fingertips. You lived quite well there in your family of three: your father, sister and you. Unfortunately, good things never last. Your family disappeared in an Entity attack, and you moved here.

01001110 01100101 01110110 01100101 01110010 00100000 01100111 01101111 01101110 01101110 01100001 00100000 01110011 01100001 01111001 00100000 01100111 01101111 01101111 01100100 01100010 01111001 01100101

But that’s not important. What is important is your goal.

01001110 01100101 01110110 01100101 01110010 00100000 01100111 01101111 01101110 01101110 01100001 00100000 01110100 01100101 01101100 01101100 00100000 01100001 00100000 01101100 01101001 01100101 00100000 01100001 01101110 01100100 00100000 01101000 01110101 01110010 01110100 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101

Love from yourself,
Forget-Me-Not

Exploits:
Case #7003 - Unofficially known as “Vida’s Date”
On 14/02/20XX, a young man named [REDACTED] concluded an illegal contract with Unrequited Love Entity, causing mass panic and violence in the square he applied his abilities to. The target he attempted to influence, Vida [REDACTED], died of seven stab wounds as she professed her love for him. He seemed to have been greatly affected by the incident, causing those outside of the square to be impacted after her passing. It was around this time that Forget-Me-Not arrived and proceeded to eliminate the threat. 24 people died in the commotion, 6 died on their way to the hospital, and 47 were injured with varying degrees of severity.

Contracted Entities:
Symbolism Entity - Disaster Threat //
Payment: Forget-Me-Not exchanged all of her memories except for the ones related to her character and her objective. Every month on the exact day she made her contract, she must present her unessential memories to the entity. In trade, she was given Symbolism Entity’s eyes. The Contract lasts until death.
Seal: An infinite sided die that seems to gain more sides the more one looks at it.

Endowment: If her eyes see symbols that represent more than a sum of its parts, she can “collect” them onto her die. Once those symbols are on the die, she can then roll it — if she’s lucky, she will gain a symbol and a corresponding boost to whatever that symbol means to her for an hour. For example, if she rolls and lands on a certain social media logo — to her, this means connections and people speaking their mind more than others care to hear it, so she will be able to "connect" people’s surface thoughts and compel people to speak their mind before they filter it. If she’s unlucky, it will be blank and she will have to wait another ten minutes to roll again. The more symbols she collects, the higher the chance for her to land on a non-blank side.

Minor Key Entity - Proximity Threat //
Payment: She gave away her ability to feel emotion from music, her perfect pitch, and the ability to speak for 10 hours per day. She can choose any time before 2 PM to lose her voice, but when two o'clock hits and she has not chosen, her voice automatically vanishes for the rest of the 24 hour period. Received in return are the entity’s fingers. Contract lasts for 6 years. Three months have already passed.
Seal: A treble clef in her right eye and a flat symbol in her left will appear in her mirror image when she passes any reflective surface. The colours shift depending on the sounds around her: major scales and higher notes make the symbols brighter and bluer, and minor scales and low notes change them closer to dark grey.

Endowment: In the range of a couple decameters, if she moves her fingers back and forth in a steady tempo for more than four beats, those standing around will hear the haunting melodies of whatever the Minor Key Entity fancies to play that day. Those who already have burdens on their mind will feel suicidal, and those who are doing alright in life will simply feel heavy and depressed, unwilling to pay attention to their surroundings. If her voice exists during that period and she adds her off-tune singing to the mix, people will be more likely to take drastic action — whether against her or others. (She isn’t sure if it’s truly the Minor Key Entity that causes that effect or if her singing is simply that terrible now.)

Logical Fallacy Entity - Recon Threat //
Payment: Forget-Me-Not offered the hearing in her left ear. In exchange, she was given all the power it possessed. Contract lasts for 2 years. Four months have already passed.
Seal: The Logical Fallacy Entity themselves. They take the form of a twisting cloud of illogical sentences in a variety of typefaces, and around them, people can occasionally hear whispers of those that make unsound arguments.

Endowment: Once a person around her verbalizes a logical fallacy, no matter how minor, the Logical Fallacy Entity pulls out the words the target spoke from its own body and tries to choke them to death with it. That’s it, that’s the ability. Duration lasts until the individual is out of hearing range, and sometimes the entity can be fickle in who it chases down and who it doesn't.

    > Eastern Canadian Expansion Expedition #xxx <
Red was a child of annihilation. She was separated from her parents when the first entities hit, and was mostly left to fend for herself after that. While there were many kind hearts that took her under her wing, orphanages and fosters, the system was far from perfect. With harsh winters and drought there was food insecurity at the best of times, and very little to go around... especially for those who could not pay. She had to grow up quicker than most, and lived on the streets, at least until the Canadian Expansion Expedition was looking for new members.

Whenever settlements have too many mouths to feed and too little resources, expansion expeditions are launched. Through promises of humanity's glory, a high wage per hour, and a promise of food, these expeditions into the lost world draw in the foolish and desperate. Everyone else knew that their main purpose was to get rid of the excess hungry mouths in one way or another.

It was winter and times were hard, so Blanchette joined with very little left to lose. She was armed with a rifle she couldn't even aim and was set off with the others into the unknown. Most of the journey was uneventful, with only lesser entities appearing. Her Expedition team found a ruined town suitable for human habitation and messengers were sent back to the main city to call for supplies and construction materials. Then the convoys began to disappear. A pack of entities were sighted and a team of Contractors were called, but it was almost two weeks before they arrived. By that time almost three fourths of the expedition members were dead or missing. The Contractors hunted down the entities while the survivors hid. Red was among them, alone in an abandoned building, whenever the last surviving EE chose to hide in it as well.

Both of them were cornered, but Red struck a desperate deal, albeit an amateur one. If the EE didn't kill her, she would smuggle it out of the settlement and past the contractors. The EE agreed, asking for the price of her most valuable possession. Having very little, Red agreed and unwillingly surrendered every single one of her memories of friends and family. Believing the EE to have fled, the Contractors escorted the survivors back to safety.

At first the contract was mostly a survival mechanism, but as Red's understanding of EE grew, so too did her interest in the creatures, even going so far as to empathizing with some of them. She began to seek out smaller EE and instead of killing them, made contracts to keep them from harming people and to better study them. Maybe it's because of how much time she spends with it, as much as her EE has taken from her, Red sees that the pain is mutual and if anything, she can understand its desire to feel whole.

Alias:

Ignatius

Age:

One year, five months and three days. Not that he is counting.

Height/Weight:

191cm/103kg

Trace Records:

Snow. Perhaps ironically, Ignatius’ earliest memories involve snow. In a northern region where the summers are short and winters long he was born. A land of hardy people -his people- from which his line could be traced to long before, a predominately noble family yet not one with permanent fixture to aristocracy. Now? Now the lands are but ruins, torn asunder by beings beyond the world’s prior understanding. His people are scattered, eking out an existence where possible. Never able to let their guard down, never able to call anywhere home. Always at the mercy of those entities. The Tree of |redacted| is withered, the blood all but spent. Too long he sat back, letting others bleed and die for his people.

Finally he had enough and began bartering off parts of himself. Now an independent Contractor he managed to hopscotch across what remains of the European Union before crossing the Atlantic for America with a large band of his fellow countrymen. That was nearly a year ago and he can confidently say the Americans have had just as shitty a time as the Union.

Exploits:

The Butcher of Rome- His first noteworthy operation. There was a beast stalking the haunted ancient city, but this was no Entity. It was a human, one who had tossed aside their humanity to live as a monster. There had been other Contractors but it was Ignatius who stumbled upon the animal in its terrible act, and it was Ignatius who put down the beast. Wounds mar his body from this conflict and without the interference of another Contractor he would have likely met his end.

Asheville Reclamation and Evacuation- A recolonization effort which required a number of contractors to keep troublesome Entities at bay. Naturally easier said than done, two contractors and sixteen civilians were lost in the five month effort. Three months later Asheville was abandoned once again.

Contracted Entities:

Hungry Hungry Hippo Entity (Ignatius’ words not anybody with authority) // Recon threat- As the name would imply, this entity indeed had hippo-like qualities, more specifically the distinct (and very large) head as well as a very thick midsection. Bipedal with extremities closer to that of a human it looked suspiciously like something ripped from a manga about human-animal hybrids. Except for the teeth. Those were very large and not at all human or animal. Unfortunately for a farming village outside the ruins of Lyon, these teeth were busy chomping crops and livestock in the dead of night.

Payment: There was really only one thing the gluttonous entity desperately desired, Ignatius’ sense of taste. For six years (of which only seven months have passed) everything the man eats will taste of nothing, instead the Entity gets to enjoy his meals for him. However, for what Ignatius wanted more was needed even though he had the creature at the mercy of Silence. His dreams were offered next, not all, but every other night his sleeping fantasies are also taken by the Glutton.

Seal: Around and including his bellybutton there is a marking that simply is an open maw with a long, thin tongue stretching out and a number of jagged teeth.

Received: The first offer had been the ability to expand his stomach nearly seven times its limit. Incredibly tempting as that was it would have made a mockery of the sacred art of competitive eating, so with great reluctance Ignatius had to settle for a pair of solid chompers. So he became the bane of dentist worldwide with teeth that never seem to lose their luster. Not that it would matter as a typical orthodontist would likely not wish to risk damaging their own tools as Ignatius' teeth (and jaws) are durable enough to take hits from a baseball bat. In fact they could take a healthy bite out of them instead, assuming the swinger sticks are not made of anything greater than steel.

Forge Entity // Proximity threat- In a frontier village somewhere in Bavaria there was a forge as large as the shacks which housed entire families. Cleverly it did little more than sit around and wait for Contractors or local villagers to form contracts with it. Supposedly it would knock its rust off and help defend the town if the need arose. As one would expect extreme heat was its forte.

Payment: His fertility, thus closing the curtain on the |redacted| name. A pinky was also sacrificed, agonizingly reduced to ash in the forge's fire.

Seal: On his arms are dark tattoos which seem to be just a long random squiggle. Apparently the Entity gave a lazy signature of sorts. With each impact of his hammer they briefly yet brilliantly glow with a fiery hue similar to that of Silence.

Received: Silence, a great hammer he wields which stores a burning energy within that violently releases on impact with the crack of thunder. The energy, which can be seen as a single carmine pulse, affects an area out and inward before spreading rivulets with an appearance akin to molten metal which begin to cover the affected area, then the area begins to steam leaving behind a gaping wound. He has no control over the scale, it is a constant attack assuming the recipient has no say. The strength to wield such a weapon with relative ease also came with his purchase as well as a resistance boost (predominately in his ears) to his hammer’s mighty blasts. A year has already gone by since the deal was struck, only two and a half more remain.

Pawn
: Age :
1 year & 4 months
: Height/Weight :
149.84cms(4'11)/52.69kgs(116lbs)

: Trace Records :
Being raised in what is now referred to as a Fall Sector, once Northern Ireland now infested with various dangerous Eclipse Entities and the rubble of the 5 cities to its name. On the night of the "Rumble" Pawn was getting ready to confess his feelings to a childhood friends of sorts, a girl that he had followed around since his own conception; The girl was someone dear to him, dear enough that he wanted to protect the smile on her face. The plans he had set up and worked meticulously on for the last few weeks were crushed underneath the weight of hundreds….maybe thousands of Eclipse Entities that swarmed the crevices of Northern Ireland, They mercilessly massacred the cities leaving all in ruin. When Pawn and the girl had met up at the meeting place with him getting his confidence to finally put his plans in to fruition came to a sudden halt as an Eclipse Entity with an appearance similar to that of a ridiculously oversized Pug with a chainsaw embedded in its head. This Chainsaw Entity appeared right atop them causing a structure to crumble on to Pawn and the girl; he screamed for help as the damned Pug slowly made its way revving up its saw. His voice became hoarse and tears trickled down Pawn's face as everything felt like it slowed down as a voice pinged throughout his head.
"You Wish For Help?"
He couldn't muster a single sound but it was as if whatever spoke to him could read his mind.
"What Will You Give Up?"
Pulling all the strength he had left he let out a single desperate phrase,
"Pl..please I'll do anything if it's for her. "
"...Very Well..."
A bright silver light emanated from Pawn's hand as an umbrella manifested in his grip, and as if he instinctively knew what to do he jutted his arm out spreading the canopy in front of him and the girl. This was the last thing he could remember from that night as his body finally gave into the pain and his conscience quickly faded, only to awaken in a hospital thousands of miles away from home… or what was left of it. Two months had passed before he woke up, but to him it had felt like mere minutes went by and Pawn finally found out how truly twisted fate was. That girl that he followed since day one was listed under the group of casualties, she had bled out before the Civil Contractors could make it to the scene. After Pawn's light was snuffed out by darkness it took him ages to rehabilitate to the point he is now, even then he isn't fully done with his treatments. That day ended his normal everyday life and he was forced to take up the responsibilities of a Proper Contractor going on quite the amount of rescue centric missions.

: Exploits :
-Northern Ireland Infestation-
In {REDACTED} Northern Ireland Pawn mortally wounded a Proximity threat level Entity before Civil Contractors reached the scene and evacuated remaining citizens
{REDACTED} casualties.
{REDACTED} survivors
{8 7 5 , 3 7 0 } injured

~Case#3270 - Case#3458~
Of Pawn's {REDACTED} cases, {REDACTED} have led to numerous Contractors deaths, {REDACTED} being considered Pawn's "Cherished". After Case#3374, Pawn made a became one of Arachnid Entity's Contractors.

:Contracted Entities:
: Loyalty Entity :
|Proximity|
Payment: Wanting to protect someone dear to him no matter the cost, Pawn willingly gave away his own free will. Any notion of wanting to protect a particular person even as a passing thought put Pawn's own life in hands of that person as if he was a puppet or simply the one of the many pawns on a chessboard, if he tried to disobey pain would course through every cell in his body building up with no forcible stop until he gives in to the order. Suffice to say Pawn's body will move on it's own in order to keep his "Cherished" safe, and the only way to escape this hell of his is for the "Cherished" to die or throw Pawn away. Even when the "Cherished'' is gone his contract is still in effect till the day he takes his final breath.
Seal: He gained a pure white umbrella similar to those ones with a pointed ferrule that hangs from Pawn's lower back.
Receive: When said umbrella is held between him and an incoming attack, then the strength behind it will become halved as it makes contact. If Pawn holds between another person then the attack dissipates completely, but if used to protect the person he "Cherishes" then the attack is reflected towards the assailant at two-fold of the original strength. He attack must physically make contact with the umbrella for action to take place.

: Arachnid Entity :
|Proximity|
The Arachnid EE appears as the collective fear and admiration of spiders. It mainly does dealings in body parts along with the stipulation that the Contractor can't bring harm to members of the spider family.
Payment : Pawn gave up all sight in his right eye, along with the ability of swatting those creepy, crawling bastards called spiders.
Seal : A mandible-like tattoo running along Pawns nose and under his eyes.
Grant : A mixture of Trichobothria hairs and spines replace the hair lining Pawn's body, the highest concentration of spines around his hands. The spines increases Pawn's ability to grip objects and allows him to stick light objects to himself along with fabrics. The Trichobothria on the other hand allows Pawn to feel the minute differences in air pressure and currents around how along with feeling the smallest vibration transmitted through the ground.
Tldr: Spider-sense

: Rose Entity :
| Proximity |
Humans have given meanings to many flowers, such as the White Heather that represents protection, while the Rose is an indication of one's Love or Admiration for a special person deep in their heart. In a similar vein as the Love EE, the Rose makes dealings involving love.
Payment : Pawn may never forget even the tiniest detail pertaining to the ones he loves. Everything from their mannerisms to the very thing they said on a specific day, not even the vivid scene of their death is safe from this.
Seal : A bundle of a dozen and one red roses.
Grant : If any creature, ranging from a small mouse to a Eclipse Entity, within 9 meters of an individual in possession of a one of Pawn's Roses has intent to bring harm to the "Rose" will become tangled in a bush of thorns that gradually get tighter as they struggle sinking the thorns deeper and deeper into the target releasing a dangerous toxin. The longer the thorns release the toxin into the target's body the more dangerous it can be, gradually the symptoms will rise from mild pain throughout the body, to becoming numb across-the-board, muscles stiffening, all the way to an untimely heart attack.
As the thorns are activated the rose begins to wither away, becoming useless as Pawn must wait till the next day for the rose to restock in the bouquet.

Thank you Maji (Magi) :)

Contractor Profile Record

Alias: Ion Ascendant
Age: 3 years and 6 months [25]
Height/Weight: 6' [182cm]| 136lb [61.86kg]

Trace Records:
<Voice Log of Outpost 11 / Dated ██-██-████>

'None of it makes sense. None of it! I have looked through every book, every piece of media, even bought some tablet from some asshole outside, and none of it gives any reason as to why or what or how any of this is happening!' [A large thump is heard, the recorder sounds dejected and suddenly distant.] 'Supplies are running low. Not just here but also in the nearby towns. We have nothing left. People are going crazy. Again, not just here but everywhere.' [The recorder becomes aggravated and upset.] 'Our CO is telling us to be calm but how can we be fucking calm! Wilkins killed himself! Slit his goddamn throat with a kitchen knife! That's only caused more trouble. Everyone is standing on their last legs, this goddamn outpost is on its last legs. Command won't get back to us. I think they expect us to die and it's not like we can prove them wrong. They've left us to die.' [The voice log ends.]

<Voice Log of Outpost 11 / Dated ██-██-████>
[The recorder sits down, taking a deep breath before beginning.] 'We're out. Supplies, I mean. Rations, gone. Water, as plentiful as you want as long as you're okay with it being from the toilet. It's no help that everyone is going nuts, they started binging on rations, saying shit like "What does it matter?" and yet they won't drink the goddamn toilet water.' [The recorder chuckles before resuming.] 'We've sent teams to the local towns. They have nothing to give even if they wanted to. One of the towns our men visited was just devastated. The houses seemed to be set ablaze; people burned alive. I've yet to see one but I have a pretty good fucking guess as to what did this. No human could be capable of such... destruction. I'm surprised we haven't run out of power yet. Every time I pass the generator room, I pray a little in hopes that it keeps running. Can't be for certain how long it'll keep up but I pray long enough for the help, if any, to arrive.' [The voice log ends.]

<Voice Log of Outpost 11 / Dated ██-██-████>
[The recorder is in panic, their breathing heavy and exhausted.] 'I don't... have a lot of time. They're here. What we suspected destroyed the towns nearby. Its appearance is hard to wrap my brain around. It's like a fucking moving avalanche but doused in gasoline and lit ablaze. Nothing we hit it with does anything. We tried grenades, missiles, fucking even had a guy drive into it with a truck. I think it gets stronger the more shit we throw at it. We can't win. I can only hope if these logs survive, that they can help whoever needs them. I'm Private First-Class E--__----__----___' [The audio fizzes out, the log continues with audio after a minute has passed.] 'Anything! I'll give you whatever you want, just let me help my friends.' [The audio fizzes out once again, resuming after 10 seconds.] 'Deal.' [The voice log ends.]

<DOCUMENT NOFORN-1A-1390-01>
Incident:
Outpost 11 attacked by Proximity-Class Entity.
Outcome: Proximity-Class Entity neutralized. Contractor MIA.
Report: On ██-██-████, Outpost 11 was attacked by a Proximity-Class Entity known by the locals as ██████. Destroying the nearby towns, the Entity found and laid an assault on Outpost 11. 11 casualties were sustained until an unknown Contractor appeared, dispatching ██████ before it could destroy the entire outpost. The unknown Contractor disappeared after the Entity was neutralized.

<Audio Memo of iPhone 11>
'Does this work?' [Repeated tapping sounds can be heard.] 'I don't think it works... Wait!' [Rustling sounds can be heard.] 'It works! By the grace of whoever, it fucking works! Oh thank you, I missed making these.' [The recorder sounds happy and appears to set the recording device on the ground.] 'So, a little update for whoever is still alive. Uh. I'm alive! Wooo. Great. Since Outpost 11, I've been going across the African savanna. And what do you know? It sucks. It's hot all the time, any living thing I see runs away so food has been tight and the only thing that has kept me on course is the big fucking Entities in the sky. Ain't that great? Using them as checkpoints. Luckily I haven't been killed by one yet. That's a good thing as well, I suppose. Uhm.' [The recorder pauses for a few seconds before resuming.] 'I met another one! Not a human but another Entity. It kinda just came up to me. I don't know where it came from, usually, I can see across the entire savanna but this one just came up out of nowhere like the previous one. I couldn't do much but oblige to what it offered me. Why not, y'know? More power, more opportunities to help people I suppose.' [The recorder sighs.] 'The first one. The, uh, the first entity has been very very talkative. I do not know if it is a blessing or a curse to have a voice constantly with you while traveling alone. Though he, I presume it's a he at least, he has been silent for about two hours since I got my new pal. Maybe it's because of the new guy. I wouldn't be surprised.' [The recorder laughs a bit before ending the audio memo.]

<Audio Memo of iPhone 11>
'I can see it! The ocean! Yes!' [The recorder sounds excited.] 'I really do hope I'm the first person to have crossed the savanna since this apocalypse. Maybe I'll get a medal once I'm home. If there is any home. Worry not... me! Always more homes to make!' [The recorder takes a deep breath before walking to what sounds like the coast and sitting down.] 'It's been a while since I've been to the ocean. It's hardly nostalgic if I can even really feel that. I really do hope my outpost is safe and everyone is alive and being supported. Well!' [The recorder stands up accompanied by patting sounds.] 'Now all I gotta do is figure out how to cross the North Atlantic, maybe I'll try to aim for Peurto Rico or Cuba. What did you say?' [The recorder begins to address someone else despite no other voices being heard.] 'Wings? Wait I can fly? And you never thought to mention this sooner? I could've been across the savanna in like a day! Well, thank you! I guess. Am I ready? No. Let me enjoy the view. It's been a while.' [The audio memo ends.]

<Audio Memo of iPhone 11>
[The sounds of waves crashing can be heard.] 'So, uh, update! Peurto Rico and by extension Cuba is gone! Disappeared. I don't know where they went. Could've gone up and moved but my best guess is that they sunk. There's nothing left besides some floating cars which I don't even know how they're floating and some bodies scattered about. Probably an Entity. I don't really have the time to look for it so I'm just gonna keep going north probably and hopefully America will be there for me! How grand! Up and away!' [The sounds of wings flapping can be heard before the audio memo ends.]

<Audio Memo of iPhone 11>
'It's been a hot minute since I've made one of these. I'm currently walking up the Mississippi to the midwest. With hope I'll make it home, my family will be alive and all will be well. I can only hope. Really. I've seen some locals. They've avoided me. I started getting into the hunting business. Not hunting animals but instead Entities. Just whenever I see them and they look dangerous. My friend from within encourages me to do so and I've really no other reason to not. I've been taking refuge in any abandoned places, people usually leave once I arrive which is no worry. I think I've seen them looking at me on occasion, maybe they're interested in my skills. Nothing really excellent to be honest. Well, I'm coming up to St Louis or what I presume to be St Louis.' [The audio memo ends.]

<Audio Memo of iPhone 11>
'Odd thing happened to me today.' [The recorder sounds as though they are walking accompanied by the sound of rushing water.] 'When I was taking refuge in some abandoned house, this person came up to me and laid flowers beside me and then started praying. Incidentally that same day, I hunted a few Entities to pass the time. Didn't get all of them but no worries, I'm sure the locals can handle it. Maybe I am their savior or something!' [The recorder laughs before resuming.] 'I kept the flowers. They're beautiful though I feel no real attraction towards them, never really did like flowers. But hey! New year, new me! At least I think it's a new year. I am really starting to get sick of this hopefulness.' [The audio memo ends.]

Incident:
Saint Paul Outpost attacked by multiple Recon-Class Entities.
Outcome: 2 Recon-Class Entities neutralized, 3 Recon-Class Entities routed. Unknown contractor revealed to be Private First Class █████ under the new alias Ion Ascendant.
Report: The Saint Paul Outpost was laid under siege by multiple Recon-Class Entities. Contractors were called on the scene but had trouble keeping the Entities at bay. Private First Class █████ appeared, assisting the Contractors in neutralizing the Entities. 11 injured, 0 casualties sustained. After the incident, Private First Class █████ was brought in for questioning.

<Interview Log of Saint Paul Outpost / Dated ██-██-████>
The following is an interview conducted between Dr. ████████ and Ion Ascendant. Dr. ████████ opted to interview Ion Ascendent given their prior engagements and history.
Dr. ████████: State your name.

Ion Ascendant: No.

Dr. ████████: Alright, next question. What did you bargain away?

Ion Ascendant: Excuse me?

Dr. ████████: What did you trade for that thing floating around you?

Ion Ascendant: I- Uh. The specifics aren't on me at the moment but---

???: His emotions.

Ion Ascendant: What are you doing! Don't talk out of me!

Dr. ████████: What are you?

Ion Ascendant: A human? What else?

Dr. ████████: I wasn't referring to you. The Entity. What are you?

???: Flesh.

Ion Ascendant: Quit it!

Dr. ████████: And why did you choose Private First Class █████?

???: Why not?

Ion Ascendant: Nope! I'm done, nothing more of this.

Dr. ████████: You sit right back down Private!

Ion Ascendant: I'd like to see you make me try!

The interview ended. Shortly after Ion Ascendent left the outpost and headed east.

<DOCUMENT NOFORN-1A-1390-A>

The following is the currently known and confirmed list of all Entities neutralized by Ion Ascendant.
> Neutralized Proximity-Class Entity at Outpost 11
> Neutralized 2 suspected Emergent-Class Entities while traveling the Mississipi.
> Neutralized 2 Recon-Class Entities at Saint Paul Outpost

Contracted Entities:
Flesh Entity // - Emergent Threat
- Ion lost all emotions with the exception of the feelings of hope, happiness, and anger in exchange for all of its power. The contract lasts until death.
Contract Seal: The seal is a human eye floating with the assistance of two transparent wings. The entity is lucid and able to communicate through Ion with the use of its ability.
After significant testing, the Flesh Entity has bonded with Ion down to the molecules that make up his being. The entity allows Ion to morph his body into many different sizes and shapes, able to become elastic or harden into a substance not too dissimilar to human bones. Because of this bonding, Ion has become exponentially stronger than the average human and can withstand attacks that would fall an average human. The Flesh Entity is capable of using this power on Ion as well, most notably when the entity manifests a mouth and voice box to talk through Ion. Ion can only use the mass he currently has for morphing his body, he can't grow bigger, and neither can he grow smaller on account of that mass having to go somewhere. This comes at a great price, Ion is deathly intolerant to fire as it causes his surface cells to react in a way similar to "freaking out". This is no different with toxins, diseases, or infections. Certain chemicals can also cause significant damage and the same effect; alcohol even if not ingested can cause the Flesh Entity's morphing to become sporadic and harder to control.

Rebirth Entity // - Recon Threat - Ion gave up 5 month's worth of past dreams and 11 month's worth of future dreams in exchange for the Rebirth Entity's "arms". The contract lasts until death.
Contract Seal: Markings throughout Ion's arms, resembling that of flames and phoenixes.
The Rebirth Entity is largely inactive until willed into activation. Ion refers to this process as "awakening" though it is largely unknown if the entity is dormant or not. Upon its activation, the Rebirth Entity manifests itself as pairs of arms that spring forth from Ion's upper torso. These arms are a distinct bright orange and appear to be made out of some fiery substance. The Rebirth Entity, while initially appearing as various sets of arms, can be changed into any form Ion desires as long as it is smaller than him. Anything the Rebirth Entity comes into contact with will slowly turn to ash. This process can only begin and continue if the Rebirth Entity keeps in contact with it. Should the Rebirth Entity be separated from Ion or lose direct contact with him, the form of the entity will sustain its existence for roughly five minutes before crumbling to ash and deactivating; Ion would then have to wait a small period of time before the Rebirth Entity can be reactivated.

trace Records: things in the world are hard, times are hard and people are desperate. In desperate situations, people do things they would regret. A town known on no map and some say doesn't even exist. Not because of ignorance or a coverup attempt, but along the lines of the unliveable place it is in. Surrounded by a hotspot of entities the town should have been destroyed long ago, though it still stands. Or well, it did. Ruled by men and the cult of worshipping the entity of Envy. In exchange for 'her' protection, she will be fed the prettiest girls in the city.

Women were bred for this, some given away as mere girls. Travellers who come to close and match the physical looks are offered up as well, everyone thinking they were lost to entities on the road. In this town women are livestock and it's a curse to be born either pretty or ugly. Bob was one of the women being gifted to the entity in exchange for its protection. Dressed up in the finest silks and perfumes before being sent to the pit to die.

Bob's beauty was noticed from birth, much to her mother's sadness. Even so, Bob tried to stay positive and keep an outlook on life, continuing to live despite the ever-looming death fastly approaching her. As she was cast into the pit she was met with the terrifying entity. She could remember the pain of her ribs being broken before she managed to get the entity's attention. Using the wit she was considered a fool for developing, she managed to convince Envy of the need for a contract to prove its superiority to the other entities. Somehow this plan worked and Bob made it out with her life. From there Bob has been searching for the entities Envy desires her to take as well as destroying the entities Envy despises on the way.

exploits:
stories of New Mexico
while this was her, most people do not know that or recognize her. A vile entity that targeted women and disposed of them in an ugly manner. It dared to compare itself to Envy and thus became an enemy. This entity had been a mission for Government Contractors, and when they arrived they found many buildings destroyed, however, the entity had been killed with minimal casualties. When asked who had done this, the only thing locals could mention was a girl in a weird mask that covered her whole face.

1621279250117.pngcontracted entities:
|Envy|proximity entity|
with the sacrifice of extreme disfigurement to one's face, you receive Envy, a bond for life. With the appearance of a pure black eye tattoo on her forward that shows no pupil or sclera.
Envy lusts for what it does not own or can not achieve. It hungers for more no matter how much it has. It thrives off its own desires, growing in power as entities it considers to be more powerful or other features that cause a sense of jealousy. It takes great pleasure in causing it harm and thus will gain more power the more they disfigure the one they are envious of. Its bloodlust is so unquenchable that refusing what it wants can lead it to be uncooperative or attempt less friendly methods to convince its host to go with its ideas. Envy's nature results in multiple difficulties, especially related to bonding. Any creature is jealous of can absolutely not be bonded with. Bonded entities also must admit Envy's superiority and basically also swear to be under it as well.
|body dismophia|recon entity|
at the cost of one's own sight, they can gain the entity of body dysmorphia contracted until the loss of Envy. It takes the form of slits that cover her body. These slits can be found scattered around and are actually eyes that can be open and used.
when the eyes are opened they give temporary sight. However, they are colour blind other than the tint of red and how living things(including entities) are outlined in red. The sight on the eyes only lasts a limited time before the eyes start to sting and eventually bleed then they just close themself. These eyes outline living things and can see the outline of living things through thin surfaces or specific surfaces-generally wood and stone if it's thin enough). However, if the eyes look in a mirror or see their own reflection they begin to bleed and sting and can not look away unless they are moved. If unable to remove the sight from the mirror the host will begin to panic and eventually will start to scream loudly, clawing at the eyes.
|scopophobia|emergent entity|
at the cost of the ability to make eye contact, and the feeling of pain when others look at you you gain the entity of scopophobia. This entity takes the form of a tattoo of 8 eyes on one's neck.
This entity allows one to see without seeing almost. Areas within a few meters of the host can be 'visualized' in a way. However, if someone looks at the host the host will begin to feel a burning sensation where the eyes are looking. This will grow in intensity and will slowly decrease the vision of the user until all they can 'see' is the eyes of the person staring at them.
|dream where I'm losing all my teeth|emergent entity|
rip your teeth out one by one for me and you will have the entity of losing teeth. The entity itself takes on the form of one's teeth, though they are far softer and easier to break.
The host's teeth will fall out periodically and grow back quickly and painfully. This also comes with the constant urge to rip out one's own teeth and while painful, a lot of satisfaction comes from such. If the host rips out their teeth they can use them to change whatever object they are holding into something random. The larger the object the more teeth it will require. This is obviously limited to the number of teeth in one's mouth. Teeth grow shortly after they are lost and grow at random and never match the other teeth. They are fairly delicate and thus cause the host to only be able to eat soft foods.
|sinful worm| emergent entity|
by sacrificing your left kidney(only the left is acceptable) one can get the sinful worm also known as the worm on a string. This entity takes the form of a pink worm on a string that is always around the host, even if they lose it it will come back to it.
This entity allows one to get worms on strings from any pocket they reach in. These worms are indestructible and simply stare at you with their googly eyes. At the cost of indestructibility, they will become 'sentient' and will move at the speed of worms. They can be ordered to do something, however will only perform actions considered to be sins or crimes. They refuse to help people unless they aren't aware they are helping them

Contractor Profile Record《

Alias: Verity
Age: 15 months
Height/Weight: 1.65m (5ft5) / 55kg / Dyed Hazel Brown (originally flaxen blonde), chest length hair / Pale complexion

Trace Records: Verity began with a simple command.

"Always speak the truth."

Parting words of an impoverished widow on her deathbed to her young adolescent child. To what end did she choose such commendations for her offspring to inherit? A mockery against her sorry existence perhaps, blind hope against the bleak dystopia of a world emerging from the ruinations of the Afterlight. No matter the circumstance. No matter where you end up. Always choose verity.

Much of Verity's life after her mother's death was spent in the overcrowded hallways of an orphanage on the fringes of the city's ghetto. Magdeline's Hall was its name, after some dead and gone philanthropist whose once noble estate had been converted for a similarly noble cause; or so it was. The orphanage was down in the gutter end of the city, but never so deep as to unwarrant visits from the suits of megacorp looking to find fresh meat for their machinations under the guise of Corporate Social Responsibility. Surely the demand was there, with central authorities' tenuous frail grasp at keeping society whole and the emergence of mysterious entities, society was ordered chaos at best. Prime breeding ground for selfish opportunists who saw use for young frail hearts who would barely be missed if they. . . oops, stopped working as a result of a test gone as unintended.

It was a den of lies and deceit that orphanage. Of hypocrisy so vile that blood ran black from the top all the way to the tips of fragile roots. A place whose front was virtue but darkness and corruption in their hearts. The children were not spared, with the older ones of the establishment forming gangs to ensure their own leisurely survival while the unacquainted were taken like lambs for the slaughter. It did not take long for Misery to show its ugly face. A culmination of hundreds of crushed hopes and voiceless cries of the young whose future had been so senselessly robbed from them.

The Magdeline Manor Slaughter they called it. With several large Proximity Entities of Sorrow and Misery awakening from the depths of its cursed foundations. They tore apart the inhabitants, rampaging down bloodstained halls even before the hour was half up, before Contractors could get on the scene. When they finally did, all they found were a handful of survivors. Those that managed to escape and Verity.

The girl was found in a relatively stable condition, though under severe shock. Though several deep lacerations were observed on her arms and hands, closer examination determined they were self-inflicted caused by an ornate dagger clutched in her hands. An Eclipse Entity Seal.

Now the bearer of a powerful entity, and having nowhere else to belong, Verity was inducted into the government's Contractor Agency response team where she began her new life.

Exploits:
Magdeline Manor Slaughter - A large orphanage that had been involved in [REDACTED] was beset upon by multiple large Proximity class entities of Misery and Sorrow. Footage of the incident are scarce due to collateral damage of cameras but Verity and her, at that time, newly contracted entity was determined to have eliminated the threat. Only a total of four orphans survived the incident, Verity being one of them. All other children including staff members were killed in the incident. To date, there is no established number of deaths as official records of the orphanage were lacking on top of the sheer brutality making it hard to identify bodies.

PROJECT PRINCETON - The centre for Eclipse Entity Research at Priceton University was working on [REDACTED] to develop a [REDACTED]. The project results indicated [REDACTED] spawning a Disaster Class EE along with multiple Proximity level threats. Contractor Verity was one of the first responders to the site, responding to a distress call. Due to [REDACTED] the team of five First Responders were unaware of the exact level of threat and were almost immediately wiped out. Contractor Verity was the only surviving First Responder and was instrumental in providing important reconnaissance intelligence to incoming strike teams. The operation was a relative success with the extraction of Professor Ludevincci along with [REDACTED]. The secondary objective of preventing the destruction of [REDACTED] was, however, a failure. This was mostly due to the radio operator's initial ignorance of Verity's limitations.

Contracted Entities:

Web Of Lies - Emergent.
Duration Twenty Years. (Currently: 1 Year 3 Months)

While all of Contractor Verity's capabilities and preliminary tests indicated that Web Of Lies is a higher level Proximity threat, there have been indications from [REDACTED] that the entity is capable of more widespread influence. It is presumed that Web Of Lies was drawn to Magdeline Manor due to the nature of its [REDACTED] though the exact circumstances of why it chose Verity remains uncertain.

Seal: Web Of Lies' seal primarily takes the form of an ornate silver dagger which the Contractor uses as a tool for other abilities. Contractor Verity is unable to part with the dagger for an extended period of time as it will always materialize on her person or in very close proximity whenever left behind; whether intentional or accidental. In rare inexplicable circumstances, Web Of Lies has been known to materialize in the form of an ephemeral masculine silhouette wearing a dress suit. However, in place of a head would be smoky black tendrils of thread-like substance reminiscent of spider webbing.

Payment: Verity is only allowed to profess one true statement every day, resetting exactly at time 1837 hours. All other statements and answers must be lies. At various random moments throughout the day, Verity must also make false statements regardless of whether there is a listening party present. Should this contract be broken, Verity loses all her powers for the remainder of the day and all her previously healed physical wounds will reopen in an instant. Continuously breaking the contract will cause splitting headaches on the Contractor to the point that it may render her unconscious.
Ability: Verity is able to quickly regenerate physical harm done to her person. While it is not instantaneous, wounds that would normally take weeks to heal will regenerate within an hour while injuries that will usually take months can heal in a matter of days. She must also be in a state of rest for the regeneration to take full effect.

Payment: Drawing her own blood with the Dagger.
Ability: Verity is able to weave her own lifeblood drawn with the Dagger in the form of very tough webbing. By force of her own will, the bloodwebs can be used to ensnare, entangle, cut (by constricting force), and move other objects. The greater the demands of the action, the more blood is required.

    Name: Petra Myenswerth
    Age: 31
    Height/Weight: 6'3"/187cm, 180lbs/82kg

"Are we really doing the right thing?" She asked him, looking through the glass pane into the sterile testing environment. She was taller now, and healthy, with broad shoulders and plenty of muscle. She'd moved on from who she used to be.

"We're doing what we can." He replied, impassionately taking notes about the experiment.

"We could stop. We should stop."

"The Eclipse Entities won't." He twisted a dial, and Eclipse Particles began to fill the room in front of them.

"What we're doing is wrong." She caught the eyes of one of the prisoners on the other side of the plexiglass pane. He was wide-eyed and struggled against his restraints. He opened his mouth, and she could almost hear him shouting as the Eclipse Particles flooded the chamber.

"It's justified." He leaned forward towards a microphone, and pressed a button next to it. "Initiating test #024 of the exposure of Human subjects to high concentration of Eclipse Particles. This is Dr. Mikhael Myenswerth, conducting this experiment alongside my wife..." He gestured to her.

She leaned forward into the microphone, hatred in her eyes, and spoke her name: "... Dr. Petra Myenswerth."

As Mikhael moved forward to press the button to start the experiment, Petra noticed he wasn't wearing his engagement ring. Neither was she.

    ---

"Things used to be better- before the afterlight."

"They were better for everyone, dear." Her mother responded instantly, without really considering what Petra had said.

"I mean- with Mikhael. I'm starting to think he's lost it. His obsession with the Entities is disgusting, frankly, and he doesn't even spend time with our daughter anymore. I'm raising her by myself, while keeping up with our research work."

    "But your research-"

"It's groundbreaking and potentially useful and the cost of human life is mounting and it's terrifying. We need to stop but I'm worried if I do, I'll come home and there will be an agent from the European Council sitting on our couch, gun to my daughter's head, ready to talk 'sense' into me. You know what I found out recently?"

Her mother didn't respond. She was rigid, muscles tensed. Maybe she was worried for her daughter, or perhaps she was more worried about the financial security her daughter offered running out.

"The only reason they agreed to fund our fucking research was so they could use it to-"

Her mother clapped her hand over Petra's mouth. "What if they hear you?"

Petra moved the hand down. "I don't fucking care what they hear anymore. Any day now, something fucking catastrophic is going to happen in our research center and I don't think we're going to be able to stop it. I think I'd rather die than help bring about whatever constitutes our success in that damned lab. Is it even worth it, mom?"

    "Think about Katie…"

"I think about Katie every waking moment."

"You'd survive on the streets if you walked out. Would she?"

Petra had nothing left to say after that.

    ---

"Witnesses report that a disaster-class Entity breached a research facility in Northern Germany two days ago. The government has issued an official state of national emergency. Please take all due precautions…" The radio began to cut out and emit static, and the idle buzzing filled the room. Petra was sitting on the floor, exhausted. She'd barely managed to escape with her life from the facility.
They'd been tasked with "strategically summoning entities into controlled environments." They'd succeeded, and now half of Germany had been destroyed.

In the end, staying at the lab had been meaningless.

Her mother entered the room, sitting down across from her on the floor, bottle of cheap wine in hand, probably stolen. The two sat in silence for a long time, listening to the crumbling city, sitting in one of the few buildings still standing, waiting for the end.

"Where am I- are we going to stay?" Her mother asked.

Petra was too angry to talk. The muscles in her throat tensed so tightly that she might choke, her jaw was clenched tight, and her teeth strained against each other. Tears began to roll down her face as she looked up at her mother.

"Katie is dead. Most of the city has been leveled by that stupid fucking research. And you're worried about where you're going to live?"

Her mother was silent for a moment, before speaking up, "You can't dwell on the past, dear. We have to live-"

She was cut off as Petra stood up, shouting, "Live on for what?! The fucking Entities are never going to stop, my husband sacrificed my daughter in a fucking contract, the world is going to shit, people are killing each other for food in the streets, and my research is what caused the current catastrophe."

    "You wanted to stop."

"What the fuck does that matter now?"

"Your husband was the one that made you keep going."

Petra's shoulders dropped, and she felt a different kind of rage flare up in her heart. Petra was silent as her mother kept talking.
"He was the one always obsessed with entities- you could've had a peaceful research position if that bastard hadn't dragged you into his field. Plus, he sacrificed your daughter. I don't know what I'd do if someone did something like that to you…" She trailed off, waiting for Petra to fill in the missing pieces, to turn her anger away from her and towards Mikhael.

Petra's fingers clenched into a tight fist. She felt almost as though she could see more clearly now, and the grief of losing Katie was quickly replaced with the burning desire to kill the man that murdered her. There was work to be done, real work, and she would push through any amount of pain to see it done and Mikhael undone. That fucker killed her daughter and caused the death of countless innocents. The research had been successful, and she was right all along- they should've stopped. It was too dangerous, and in the end, it had been meaningless.

Perhaps she could still redeem herself, with the death of just one more man.

At least now, she had something to live for.

Alias: Negative
Age: 11 months (real age 49)
Height/Weight: 6'1"/185.4 cm; 185 lbs./84 kg

Trace Records:
"Everyone has lost something, in some form or another--homes, loved ones, limbs... I don't remember what I lost, but I doubt I could handle knowing." -Negative

Chaos struck the Fennoscandian Peninsula. A massive, inexplicable tidal wave rocked Norway, while legendary horrors emerged from a freak snowstorm to decimate Sweden's population. Negative, then a simple nearsighted doctor, lost his wife and teenage sons during the massacre in Sweden. He narrowly escaped as further fighting ensued between contractors (redacted) and entity (redacted). In the coming months, he found himself plagued by survivor's guilt and grief. With no one to console him, he reached a low point and attempted to roam into the fall zone and die there. In a state of near-delirium, he fell to his knees and lamented his losses. He wished he could have done more, that he could do more, and that he could forget the traumatic imagery burned into his mind.

Then, a pair of voices replied to his cry. The Eclipse Entities embodying the concepts of Denial and Disbelief approached him with an offer. In a moment of ultimate concession, Negative again wished to repress the painful memories. Amazed by the broken man's willingness, Denial forged the first deal with him; it accepted a steep payment so the good doctor could do more to prevent such a monumental loss of life.

Next came the bargain with Disbelief, who was also in disbelief. However, an offer was an offer, and the opportunistic entity proposed its deal before Negative could clear his mind and think carefully about that which he was giving up. Though a heat-of-the-moment decision, both entities quietly commented on Negative's reasoning; remembering his prior failures while succeeding at saving lives in the present would make him bitter, though repressing the old memories would heal nothing. Disbelief's offer was astoundingly merciful; the duration of its contract was only three years, though Negative had the opportunity to renew it on the final day of said period, pending Disbelief's consent. Although Negative would forget a major reason for forging his contracts, Disbelief will only remind him that his memories will return if the contract isn’t renewed. A final warning was then issued: “Should you choose to remember, expect a flood, not a trickle.” That message still rings in Negative’s mind.

With his grief process on hold, Negative roams Fennoscandia in hopes of saving and gathering any survivors he can. With his work there nearing completion, he keeps his ears open for other opportunities.

Exploits:
  • Search and rescue operation #(redacted)
Joining the Coalition of Scandinavian Independent Contractors (CSIC, pronounced “sea sick”), Negative and a party of three others investigated the disappearance of another team of Contractors near the ruins of Stockholm. Of the five, two were dead and two were wounded. Negative healed the two enough to survive the one-hour drive to the hospital at Uppsala, then regrouped with his team and the intact survivor to intercept and defeat Proximity-threat EE (redacted) before it could find and attack the outpost at Haninge.

Contracted Entities:
Denial | Emergent Threat(?)

An unusual entity capable of meddling with many entities' portfolios. Since many mortals would have trouble grasping all the finer points of Denial's portfolio, it tends to grant one more specific ability per contractor, which makes its full spectrum of capabilities difficult to catalog.

Negative sacrificed his ability to perceive and possess color. Everything with which his bare skin remains in contact gradually and permanently loses its hue, with the exception of other contractors. For this reason, his skin is also pallid, his eyes and hair a gray as neutral as the indifferent nature of Denial. He is even denied the ability to bleed red like his fellow humans, as only gray blood seeps from his wounds. Moreover, he is rendered sterile for the duration of his lifelong contract.

Despite the heavy losses, Negative gained the ability to deny death in a way, matching his desire for others to not experience such loss. Specifically, he can rapidly stanch bleeding and close wounds. He can't neutralize poisons or undo blood loss, so more complex problems will require more appropriate solutions. Furthermore, death is a permanent condition; if they're already dead, they will remain dead--death may be denied, but never blatantly cheated. Because of the nature of the gesture used to activate the power, he can also heal everyone but himself—ironic because he now has the ability to help others but still can’t work through any of his own problems so easily. While denial is part of a healthy grieving process, it isn’t where he needs to be.

This contract‘s seal comes in the form of black markings on the palm of his left hand. His fingernails on that hand have also darkened to a deep slate gray and seem to always be especially long. The gesture he uses for healing or stabilizing a person is reminiscent of someone saying “talk to the hand”, typically used for expressing an unwillingness to hear a fact or thought and often paired with a remark such as “absolutely not”.

Disbelief | Disaster Threat(?)
An entity with ties to an extremely powerful concept: ignorance. The lucky few whom Disbelief approaches may receive practical abilities to counter the fantastic.

Negative sealed away memories of his family and a lot of his life and sacrificed notable traits such as his unique speech pattern and mannerisms. All that remains of his past is his practical knowledge and a vague feeling of emptiness over something lost, as he marches through life with a robotic gait. While under this three-year renewable contract, he does not believe he ever had sons and thinks he is still a bachelor instead of a widower.

Disbelief’s power helps Negative to keep going, even when injured. The ability is derived from the cliche, “I’d have to see it to believe it”. Unless he can see the signs, he doesn’t feel the effects of rigorous work, illness, or even injuries. This works to both his benefit and detriment, as he won’t rest or seek medical attention unless told. Auditory cues like the cracking of bone do not count, though they help him know when it’s high time to seek help.

This contract's seal is an item essential to Negative: his glasses. When his perception of the past is clouded-over, maintaining his ability to see the present is an ironic gift.

Alias: Monarch
Age: 1 Month
Height/Weight: 190.5cm (6ft 3in.)/75kg (165.3lbs)

Trace Records:
"Are you sure this won't be a repeat of London?"

A short, red-haired girl spoke to a similar-looking older woman, holding tight onto the back of her mother's wheelchair with bated concern. Anyone would be, after the calamity that fell upon their home. So few made it out; even fewer made the journey to better lands. The iconic sight of the Statue of Liberty still stood somewhat tall despite the trials that it had faced as of late, ushering countless immigrants and refugees into what was supposed to be salvation.

Initially, they had planned for Germany after London's collapse, but that idea was quickly shut down by civil contractors after some disaster entity rained hellfire upon its lands. They watched the very sight from off the coast before the boats came to escort them away. So instead the small family turned their sights upon America. There shouldn't be too many issues; money was still a thing and the [REDACTED] House had more than they could ever spend. All they had to do was get to New York City and secure themselves once more.

"......I'm sure. Where is your brother? I haven't seen him today." The girl's mother replied, to which her daughter frowned and pointed towards the staircase leading into lower levels. "Room still."

Who could blame [REDACTED]? To watch the city he was born and raised in turn to rubble before their very eyes, and to see father dive headfirst in defense of it. They'd gotten away in their own boat, but only barely. The two could still remember the extravagantly dressed Entity as it takes through buildings. [REDACTED] tried to act the same as before, but there were clear changes in his psyche.

The docks came into view just then, and the expectations paled in harsh reality. There were enough people to comprise the population of several small countries, and that was probably true. All the pain and suffering localized in one city...it made the shorter woman sick. "The contractors a here for us, look there Mother. They'll take us to [REDACTED], away from all these people."

"I can't see them….well, I trust you. Go get your brother and we can soon move on from this. I can wait here." The mother nodded, watching the older sibling quickly walk off.

"....."

The inside of the large vessel was luxurious, but it had obviously seen plenty of wear. Storage boxes and tarps littered the hallways, and the daughter eventually found her way to a large oak door. "Alright [REDACTED], get your sad ass out of bed and get dressed. We're here, and I want to get to [REDACTED] sometime this afternoon. Mom can't be stuck outside when [REDACTED], remember?"

A deep red mane of hair peeked from under the covers, the room silent save for the shuffling of silk and barely audible groans. His pale eyes looked tired and bloodshot, searching for something. There was food on the table, completely untouched and fresh
"Get out, I'm hungry and I need to change."

"5 minutes." Answered the daughter with a forced laugh.

"Hurry up and shoo." Came his curt response.

When the son came out, the daughter peeked into the now vacant room. "Hey, idiot! You didn't even touch the food!"

Exploits:

Brooklyn Night Raid - A few days after Monarch's arrival, the Agency discovered that he had formed a contract during the Fall of London. He was swiftly taken up and out in their ranks given the nature of the Entity, and his first Operation was to aid in the clearing of Brooklyn's resident Entities. Situated on the roof of a tall apartment complex in the dead of night, every contractor in the borough listened to the loud banging of a sniper rifle. Every shot was followed up by an explosion, and fewer EE's in the area. The raid was a resounding success thanks to his efforts, and the mission stood as a great first impression of Monarch to the rest of the government agents…..If one could get past the over-the-top and extravagant manner in which they acted and dressed. Then again, it wasn't by choice.

Greed Contractor - While much less of an achievement that benefits the masses, the mere fact that Monarch has been in a contract with Greed is no small feat given the disposition of the EE. The nature of the Entity leads it to have killed all of its contractors within hours, if not seconds after the deal has been struck. Greed's deals before Monarch are strikingly Monkey's Paw, and yet many people still call to them despite adamant warnings from the government due to the Entity's level of power. Monarch's contact hasn't left him dead, so such in itself is an achievement the longer he lives on.

Contracted Entities: Monarch has but a single contract, a deal With the very same Disaster-Threat Entity that destroyed his home city and slain his father. Greed. The personification of humanity's innate instinct to want and acquire material or nonmaterial things. Greed is a very powerful Entity, a derivative of the stronger Emptiness-Isolation Entity. Greed is well known among even non-contractors, but its meaning is usually different. Many think that greed is the malicious desire to seek only money or power, but in reality, it could be found in any capacity. The merchant wants money, yes, but he also wants opportunity. The soldier wants power, yes, but he also wants to defend his country. The sick will want medicine, and the hero will want justice. Greed can be anywhere, and it wants everything.

Governments warn the people that you should never form a contract with Greed, for greed is incredibly cunning. To date, any who have formed a contract with Greed die within hours, if not minutes after the deal is struck. From the very limited accounts from people who managed to live just long enough to get out a testimony, Greed seems to utilize a way of bargaining most akin to a 'Monkey's paw'. Want money? Crushed by gold and jewels. Power? Your body is overloaded with literal power until you explode. Love? People will love you so much that they want to rip you apart and keep souvenirs. In exchange for the power of Greed's level, a high price is usually accompanied with such. But in Greed's case, they want everything they can get their hands-on, and will even destroy cities to get it.

Greed stumbled upon Monarch as it was laying waste to London in search of beautiful and rare things. Such were an obsession, yet so little of either could be found these days. It was certainly surprised when after it disintegrated a red-haired man, their son peeked from the dilapidated street corner. Just before greed killed them too, it noticed something. The man was undoubtedly very attractive by human standards to be sure, but they were also bleeding. Its blood was absolutely beautiful; something they'd never seen prior. A doctor's exam post-contract revealed that Monarch's blood type was RH Null, a blood type so exceedingly rare that only two people are currently known to have such a condition. Monarch himself, and his mother.

In a rather long conversation spanning the entire voyage to New York, they settled on terms so that Greed could get their hands on its now most prized possession. The payment was as follows.

  • Greed's Proxy: The Entity seeks to live vicariously through her possession. She is usually hanging around their possession in a physical form, and if not they are typically speaking to them inside of their head. Anything that Monarch leaves his eyes upon and is deemed valuable enough to catch Greed's interest, he must acquire. Greed isn't unreasonable, but under contract, Monarch has much of the same personality traits and can't deny the allure of that which is valuable or beautiful.
  • Grandeur: this one is a lot tamer compared to the rest of the payments; all the prized possession has to do is dress and behave in an extravagant and grand manner, with very few people as an exception (typically whoever Greed dislikes). Monarch does not act depressed, sad, or even angry; instead, you can typically be seen smiling and laughing while being dressed not at all like a typical agent and more like a prince/runway model.
  • Peak Performance: Monarch is simply unable to eat or do anything that greed deems even remotely unhealthy. He has to exercise mind and body daily. He is not allowed to get dirty for long, so he bathes thoroughly many times a day. Looking shabby would be a war crime according to Greed's books, so Monarch has to constantly make sure that they always look as good as possible, even when sleeping. Monarch speculates that this condition is simply Greed wanting their prized possession to retain it's quality to an extreme degree.
  • Golden Blood: monarchs body produces more blood than the average body, and that very blood is used as payment. At the beginning of every day, greed comes along and takes a few vials of the rare blood for themselves and leaves their prized possession a little weaker. Monarch gets back said power, with foreign blood. As a byproduct of the two payments, any food and drink will force Monarch's body to throw it back up, keeping his body as pure as possible. Drugs and medicine have similarly no effect. To survive and gain power of his own, Monarch can consume the blood of other living things which is then broken down into energy and calories like one would eat a normal meal. Normally the nature of RH Null blood forbids any mixing of blood, much less any sustenance, but thanks to Greed the blood is broken down and converted once consumed. The Quality of the blood plays an important part, and the agency provides Monarch with a steady supply of donated blood.

Seal:
"I won't have my prized possession anywhere near such dangers. In fact, I want you miles from it."

Greed's seal takes the form of an ornate dark wood rifle, with meticulous etching and gold fittings giving it a look almost akin to the classic lever-action rifles of the old midwest. Not only does it not require a scope when in Monarch's hands, but The rifle also uses very powerful rounds that have no trouble ripping through anything in its path, at the expense of lacking any real subtly. Quite simply, each round sounds like a tank cannon. The durable nature of the rifle itself and the unique shape of the black iron lever make it somewhat capable of melee combat, but its specialty is mid to long-range firing. Monarch's longest confirmed kill measured at 4200 meters, but the rifle is capable of longer shots still.

Ability: Appraising Eyes - Monarch's eyes are exceptional thanks to their deal; they can find the smallest of details at extreme distances with little to no issue, as well as discern the value of nearly anything it gazes upon. Admittedly tame compared to those who can summon lightning or burn entire fields, but quite effective when used by a sharpshooter.

Ability: Vampiric Greed - Due to his disposition, blood acts as Monarch's sole form of sustenance. But its effectiveness is not in question. Blood can heal his wounds, cure sicknesses and make him stronger/faster, and possibly even do the same for others with his own blood if it wasn't so difficult to get Monarch to bleed. Sure, he can't consume medicine through normal means, but hand a blood pack or let him drink your own blood and he'll be healthy in no time.
