Angela is a world-renowned doctor and is incredibly intelligent as a result.  Angela is highly opposed to the idea of war and violence to obtain peace, however she can tolerate it if it means helping others who very truly need help.  This is why she joined up with Overwatch.  While she disliked the idea of carrying around a blaster for her self-defense when members of Overwatch first recommended it, she gradually realized the importance and need she would have for one.


Backstory/Bio:


Angela became the top surgeon at a Swiss hospital and then moved on to help out in the field of nanobiology.  In nanobiology she discovered a way to rapidly heal life-threatening illnesses and injuries.  This is what caused Overwatch to notice her, and she joined up with the intent on helping even more people around the world.  Adopting the call-sign of "Mercy" she desired to help out on the frontline with Overwatch.  Thus the Valkyrie swift-response suit was created for this purpose of zipping around the battlefield and helping out with the nanobiology tech as well.  When Overwatch was dissolved Mercy still sought out to help people  who needed help around the world who are caught in the middle of wars and battles with nobody else to heal them from their injuries.


Powers/weapons:

Caduceus Staff - Mercy engages one of two beams that connect to an ally. By maintaining the beams, she can either restore that ally's health or increase the amount of damage they deal.  The Caduceus staff also slowly heals Mercy herself when she's not in combat.

Caduceus Blaster - Mercy shoots a round from her sidearm. It's best reserved for emergency personal defense.

Guardian Angel - Mercy flies towards a targeted ally, allowing her to reach them quickly and provide assistance in crucial moments.

Angelic Descent - Propelled by her Valkyrie suit, Mercy slows the speed of her descent from great heights.

Resurrect - Channeling energy contained in her Caduceus Staff Mercy can send out a wave of healing energy that will bring anybody who's not at full health back up to full health and strength.  This only has ten limited charges, and requires Mercy to truly think when it might be needed.
