☥ Ancestral Magic ☥
Ancestral magic came from a woman named Joan from Salem. She was a town healer's daughter, and her mother was secretly a witch. When her powers awakened, her mother was terrified. Her father was a christian extremist, and one who was dead set on finding, and killing all witches in existence. Her mother, while her father was at a church one night, helped her daughter escape Salem and had her Aunt take her in. Their coven then grew, in secret, in South LA.
Eventually the coven had strayed from the spirits, dabbling in dark magic and dark arts, but in he ends it only made their numbers few. Eventually, they returned to the spirits. Unfortunately, the spirits decided to punish their line by declaring a sacred area, where they must consecrate their dead, in order to keep their power strong. And when it wanes, they must do a harvest ritual where 4 of age young women must sacrifice themselves to the spirits to replenish their magic.
