- Appearance
Height: 5'6/167 cm
Weight: 125 lbs/57 kg
Hair: Black - Dark brown.
Eyes: Light brown.
Body: A combination of an hour glass figure and a mesomorph build.
Attire: She dresses the same way as most women would. She tries to mix sexual attraction with formality. She often wears leggings with some form of shirt. In colder weathers she may wear a suit jacket or large coats. It isn't uncommon to see her wearing jeans either.
When performing operations for her employer she will wear one outfit. The outfit has a dark grey jacket which allows her to blend in with most urban sections of the world. Beneath her coat she wears a kevlar vest to increase her bullet resistance. She wears a headpiece that allows her a direct view from the tip of her rifle making her shots far more accurate than other assassins. She wears hardy boots and gloves to ensure she leaves no finger prints or flakes of skin behind at the scene.
- Personality
Her domestic life and barista work behaviour depicts that of a standard woman. If anything about her day to day life were to seem odd it may be her immaturity or bubbly personality. She doesn't like people prying as that often leads to a lot of mess. It's best not to pressure her into offering any information or possessions.
During what she considers to be 'work' hours, she takes on a completely different character. She becomes quiet and calculates everything. This constant calculation makes her ruthless. Her mannerisms become completely different too, often slouching or sticking to dark locations.
She tries to put as much distance between her and her targets as possible to ensure that tracking her as the killer is near impossible. If she is forced into close quarters combat with a target however, she will act barbaric and attempt to defeat them any way possible. She has been known to bite, kick, scratch and use nearby objects as weapons. This combined with her determination to succeed in removing her targets guarantees the job to be done.
She has many petty hates and obscure loves. Her most unfitting hatred is towards murderers. She openly speaks ill of them and any form of killer. She respects soldiers for their service but short of them, no killers have her respect. She also dislikes most normal things such as lying, stealing, pain.
Her loves are many but limited only to objects. She doesn't love people as those she did love have now passed on. Her number one love is coffee, hence her occupation as a barista. Any time she can get her hands on a cup of coffee she will take it.
- History
"I was born in Kansas, raised by my mom and dad there until about six or seven. Then we moved here. I've been here ever since. My mom used to run this coffee shop before the.. incident." Rebecca's past is something she hates going over with people.
She was born in a town called Lindsborg in Kansas, USA. The town's population was small but that didn't matter to Rebecca since she rarely left the house. Her parents sheltered her from the outside world, having curfews and rules to going outside. She was a small and frail child which made her prone to bruising and cuts. Her parents felt that this would lead her to suffering from broken limbs and bullying from others outside of their family.
Until the age of six Rebecca had rarely gone outside. She was taught how to read and count like most children her age and was enrolled in an 'elementary' school over in DC. She was educated at the state standard and progressed through school until she dropped out with relative ease. When her father died of throat cancer from his constant smoking, she dropped out of school. At the age of fifteen she began working in her mother's coffee shop learning about business management and coffee brewing.
Two years of learning the trade from her mother and the 'incident' happened. Two men and what seemed to be their 'pet' entered the cafe's outside dining area. The pet began growling and tugging on its chain. Rebecca's mother went outside to ask the men if they could further restrain their enormous pet or if they could return without it. The suspected pet was actually a Wendigo wearing a coat made of fur. The Wendigo broke loose and murdered Rebecca's mother on the spot.
The cafe became a subject of thorough investigation for the following year and a half with many law suits going on between Rebecca and the two men. The two men were ultimately found guilty and charged with trafficking of endangered wildlife, accessories to murder and vandalism. They were sentenced to 27 years in prison but managed to leave after 15 for good behaviour in prison on parole. The Wendigo however was put to death as all Wendigo are filled with a desire to feed off human flesh.
Rebecca was heart broken. At the age of 19 she'd lost everything but the family business. This is when she received the letter that would change her life. She received a small note inside a tiny envelope. The note itself was slightly pink and folded in quarters. When unfolded it spoke about a meeting place and what time to be there if interested. After the signature on the letter there was a side comment about being 'sorry but thankful for your [her] loss'.
Rebecca went to the agreed location and saw only one man. That's when the hands grabbed her and everything went black. When she woke up she was in the back of a moving vehicle with two men. One of them was wearing some sort of armour and the other one had a suit. They apologised for their actions and began to inform her of what their offer was. She accepted their offer in exchange for them to supply her with everything she required. This is when she became a contractual killer for the 'Talon agency'.
Months went by with her performing executions for her providers in the talon agency. The cafe became a secondary occupation and she earned a large amount of money from her employers. At the twenty three mark she was assigned a special task with two others of her assassin co-workers. They applied to join the Department of Justice and only two of them were accepted. Rebecca being one of them, her friend Stephanie being another. The two began working in locations where they could keep tabs on just about everyone flowing through the facility. Rebecca worked as a receptionist and Stephanie worked as a maid for the sleeping quarters.
Seven months into their assignment and they received instructions on what to do to complete the task. They were told to eliminate the director of the facility and to remove their history from department's logs. With their charting skills and documentation of the flowing people through the facility, they had found the perfect three minute window to execute and vacate. They waited two days to confirm their accumulated data and practised assassinating him. They'd pretend to fire a rifle and then ran as fast as they could, reaching the bottom of the stairs in two minutes and thirty seconds on average.
The day came and they took aim. Stephanie had her fingers on the rifle's trigger and slowed her breathing. The director's head came into view and she slowly applied pressure to the trigger. "Two more steps." Stephanie murmured. Rebecca however had other plans for the scenario. She violated her orders in a moment of clarity. She realised that the department helped hold the city (if not the world) together. Rebecca pulled out her combat knife and drove it through the back of Stephanie's neck. Stephanie tried to scream in pain but gurgled blood instead, keeping the assassination silent and quick.
Rebecca, overcome with guilt, ran away from both the talon agency and the department. She was sloppy and left the body behind along with her information. She returned to working at her cafe, pretending that she'd never undergone any kind of intensive training or violent lifestyle. The agency sent one or two assassins to 'recover' the 'faulty property'. Each one was met with a worse death than the last. The talon agency stopped sending employees after her and made an official decision to declare her as 'missing'.
Rebecca still possessed the abilities to execute people in the cover of night. Combining those attributes with her now free lifestyle, she became a freelance assassin. A few people used her services to remove rival company chairmen out of the way or to ensure that one gang stays in control over another. Her life has being fairly repetitive since then due to hardly anyone knowing of her abilities to remove targets.
- Relationships
Stephanie M. Carter - Deceased - Former best friend until the director incident.
- Equipment
T-57 IV Shock rifle - The T-57 is a sniper rifle designed and issued only to members of the talon agency. The model has been revised and enhanced many times over the past two decades. The agency has 7 models of the T-57. Each one is more advanced than the last but more experimental. The T-57 IV is a model that introduced the visor jacks and combined both skill and machinery to create the ultimate killing machine of the time.
The T-57 IV 'Shock rifle' is named after the type of recoil it produces and the devastation of its bullets. The bullets can pierce through tank armour with relative ease but offers such heavy recoil that a poorly positioned shot can cause minor muscle strains to serious fractures. Thanks to Rebecca's tweaking of her rifle to better suit her, it has a reduced amount of strain on its user but still packs a hell of a punch.
Hawk lenses and jacks - The Hawk lenses are what adorn her head piece. Each 'lens' is actually a small monitor that highlights a different area of the guns abilities and condition. One lens shows the wind resistance of the area which comes in as a vital piece of information when performing extremely long distance shootings.
The cables that stretch from the head piece to the rifle are called 'jacks'. They each have their own data to carry across and can withstand serious blunt force trauma. Unless shot or cut, the jacks are unlikely and near impossible to break away from the rifle.
- Skills
Accurate - The accuracy of Rebecca is the by far one of her strongest abilities. Her incredible precision, added with her shared view down her rifle's barrel, allows her to shoot the eye of a raccoon two kilometres from where she's resting.
Cunning - Most cunning individuals are useful in some way or another. Her cunning allows her to manipulate people into buying things when she's working as a barista or allows her to think outside the figurative box during assassinations.
Agile and powerful - An odd combination. Her muscular body, combined with her short height, gives her the ability to slide in and out of tight situations or to position herself in unlikely locations for that 'perfect shot'.
Alert/sixth sense - She has a 'sixth sense' when it comes to danger. She can just feel if someone's near her or not. When undergoing extremely dangerous assignments, this sixth sense keeps her alive. She keeps an eye on everything around her and refuses to give her enemies a chance to get the jump.
Weaknesses
Reserved - Being reserved isn't a bad thing for an assassin. It is a bad thing for a social person however. Her job requires her to be very friendly with others. This can sometimes prove hard when those customers ask her questions that require her to give away something about herself.
Susceptible to heat - She hates the heat. Fire is a weapon that not only creates heat but panic. She can't stand the thought of someone using an item such as a flame thrower or fire magic to fight her. It's almost terrifying to her.
Still mortal - Unfortunately, she's still mortal. Mortal people can die like everyone else which isn't a good thing at all.
