Demon Wars

[Kirara]

All characters in this RP are, obviously, 'demons'. There are some categories of demons that I will give. This is only a skeleton. If you have an idea for a new category , please feel free. However, I will have to inspect them so we don't have anything too overpowered.


Please make your character detailed. We don't need pages of back story, but enough so they're not flat. Let's make them interesting and have fun.


Obviously, don't get carried away and make them "perfect".

Void - Void demons are able to open rifts in the world that lead to the "Void" which is an empty space. The opening of rifts cause fluctuations in gravitational pull (not push). Voids can move through rifts to teleport or utilize the changes in gravity.


Undead - Undead are known to have lower body temperatures. This category would include things such as zombies and vampires. They are also able to go without food and sleep for longer.


Animalistic - They have animal qualities usually shown physically by ears and tail. Usually have a heightened sense, such as smell, hearing, etc.


Weapon - can shape shift into a certain weapon. They have some control over themselves but rely mostly on another person to wield them. (think Soul Eater, if you've seen it)


Shifter - (please use a photo of their normal form and then any others they may have) Shifters can't just turn into anything. They may have a few to choose from that could be progressive or unconnected.


Shade - Can blend into or manipulate shadows and darkness. Weak to bright lights (sunlight is a good example). They have paler skin in comparison to other demons. Have night-vision for the price of being unable to see most colours. They inhabit the underground city of Valsha.

Personality: Shiro is mad. He has also spent minimal time in contact with others, and therefore, is incredibly socially inept. He fears his madness and that it can take over him, which it does in dire situations. Due to his past, he subconsciously suppresses his memories, so he remembers very little about himself. Trying to remember causes massive pain. He is incredibly curious and can never quench his thirst for knowledge. He fears physical contact, or getting attached to anyone. He can often be seen talking to himself. Surprisingly, he can be quite vain and care about appearances at times.


History: Shiro's mother suffered from severe paranoia. She feared the end of the world and the attack of other factions. She raised Shiro like a machine. He was nothing more than a tool to protect her. Her methods to go about this were not... quite humane. Shiro went insane. He started to have fits where he no longer was in control of his own body. Waking up from one of said fits, he found his mother dead. When Shiro's father found out, he was overwrought with grief and killed himself. Shiro's father was the only one that the boy could find solace in and trust. With him gone, there was nothing holding Shiro back. But, he didn't know what to do, so he holed himself in his father's study and began creating. His father was a mechanic. Shiro quickly created his own mechanized weaponry that complemented his demon powers. Once that was done, e decided to finally leave his home. However, he had never talked to someone other than his parents. Suddenly, for the first time in years, he was scared.

Personality: Hana is usually a quiet girl who is mostly ignored by others. She enjoys being in her own company and is used to solitude. She has no noticeable emotions of any kind, as if she was a robot. She does, however, feel empathy towards those she doesn't even know. This is only in her form before she shifts. If Hana his threatened, it brings out "Black Hana". Black Hana is cocky and confident who enjoys a bit of a brawl. Black Hana is also known to make crude and snide remarks to whoever gets the pleasure to be in the vicinity. If Black Hana is dealt a large amount of damage, the final form - Withered - emerges. Withered has no thought other than that to kill. She has no regard for life and will destroy every living thing she can find, regardless of friend or foe. Hana does not remember anything in her other states.


History: Hana has very little memory of her past. Her first memories were of wondering the desert and eventually collapsing from exaustion when she was 8. She was found by Suna's patrol guard and brought back to the city for questioning. Finding her to not be a threat, and seeing her lack of memory, they sent her to see if doctors could help. They found nothing except that she was a shifter-undead mix rather than just undead as they had previously thought. This was not at all unusual, but when Hana was asked about her other forms, she said she didn't have any. Obviously she was lying, they thought. Hana was given to Suna scientists who forced her to use her shifter powers through fancy scientific means. Black Hana appeared, and when questioned, admitted to wiping Hana's memories. She refused to give a reason and went back to Hana. Hana remembered nothing of what had just happened, something incredibly odd of a shifter. It had never been heard of before. Many more tests were run, mostly trying to get Black Hana to explain everything.


Eventually, after 2 years, Black Hana gave the reason for wiping Hana's previous memories. Hana had lived peacefully with her parents, both loving people. One day, they were attacked in their own home as a robbery took place. Hana got cut right across her abdomen. That's when she first unlocked her other form. Unable to control her pain and the new power, Hana let went on a rampage to destroy the attackers. Unfortunately, her parents were caught in the crossfire. Black Hana then erased Hana's memory so she wouldn't have to live with the guilt. This had side effects. Hana almost forgot how to be herself. She remembered the basics of living and speech, but emotions were a foreign concept to her. Also, her stages of shifting each had their own "personality" and their memories didn't carry over to the original.


The scientists were curious and attempted to release Withered. Black Hana was able to stop them before that happened and ran away. Hana has been wondering the world with no particular goal in mind ever since then.

Her colleagues often wonder if she is crazy as she treats inanimate objects like people and when it comes to real people she is about as socially awkward as a turtle. She is the optimistic type that never gets put down by failing however she can be very childlike and is never professional.


Animals can be found all over her work station as she makes friends with any animal she meets and feeds any animals that come into her work space to 'keep her company', she is faster and more agile than the average person however she is about as clumsy as clumsy can be so people never see her as a threat and she doesn't see herself as one.


History: Kiya was born in the treetop city of Tsuri in a large and loving family were she was the 7th of 10 unruly children. Her family is nothing special, middle-class peaceful citizens who caused no more trouble then the daily mischief of many offspring. Her father worked as a 'Repair Man' of Tsuri's common-folk while her mother worked as a tailor. Kiya followed in her fathers footsteps and soon discovered her love for fixing and building objects and inventing new and exciting products.


When Kiya turned 15 a man from Chaski who owned a machine factory saw her at work and asked for her to be part of his working team back in his home city. Kiya took the opportunity and now works as a mechanic in Chaski were she fixes machinery and designs the latest and greatest to further the upcoming future.

I just want to ask, her control over lighting, does she create it or just redirect what comes down? Also, please add a little more to her history. Except from that, everything seems to be in place.

History: She grew up on the streets, of the harsh desert environment, she's an orphan with no known origins. She was part of a thieving ring, which looked out for its members, as if it were family. She was named and taken in by one of the members a man called Lucien, who acted as her father figure. Although he was imprisoned shortly after her thirteenth birthday, meaning from an early age she knew how to fend for herself. She quickly rose through the ranks, gaining the chance to do solo missions, but the group was betrayed and had to scatter. With the prospect of civil service being the only option, she ran to Chaski. She's been there about a month living under the radar as a theif for hire. With mainly small jobs under her belt. She no longer has contact with any of the members currently.


She can only direct lighting, but with training has the possibility of gaining the power to create.

Personality: Calm, Patient, Can be a little cruel sometimes.


History: Kuro's family in Chaski was quite rich and they both designed and built buildings and statues, as well as a few other things. But after several mistakes, also followed by a burglary which ended up in the loss of some of their money and precious items, they eventually fell into poverty, finally having to sell their house for money and move into a secluded area and built a two-story wooden house with a sturdy roof and walls that kept the inside warm. Fortunately te thieves had not stolen their building tools. They eventually adapted to this life from the easy and rich life they were used to, collecting water from the nearby lake and from snow if they couldn't go to the lake, and hunting the creatures that lived there for food. His father was a void and his mother was a shifter, causing him to get powers from both. They have passed years ago and their graves are in front of the wooden house. (Can't find the pic I want for it. Just imagine a two story wooden house surrounded by snow with two mounds in from of it, a small porch with the door leading inside and seven windows, one on the first floor by the door, the second two on the sides of the of the first floor, one in the second floor from Kuro's room, one on the back from the second floor, and two more one the second floor.)

Powers/Abilities:


-Able to create portals to places he's been to before/seen/given a very detailed and accurate description of. He often makes mistakes and goes into the wrong place but the lake and his house which he has been in/to for so long is simple for him.


-Can manipulate the gravity of the area (or just himself) around him to make himself, as well as others feather light or be pulled to the ground by the force of gravity.


-He is adept at the martial arts but not an expert, or even a master at that.


-He can shift into a snow leopard, a snowy owl, and an arctic fox at will anytime. He often uses his owl and fox form to go through tricky places, hide, scout, and escape if he has to. His leopard form is mostly for either combat or intimidation, though he can use it to run and hide just as easily due to it's natural camouflage and it's naturally athletic body. The only downside is that if he changes into one of his animals, his void powers will be drastically weakened in that state and he will be just as strong as any other fox or owl in his fox and owl forms.


Weaknesses:


-Creating a portal is a simple task however he will often make mistakes and if he forgets a certain place, he will not be able to go there. The portals are also limited by size and cannot fit anything huge and if held up for too long, he will eventually become very tired.


-Altering the gravity around him not only effects the demons and animals around him but also himself, though he can limit it to himself (for example he can he can free himself of the chains of gravity and jump up great heights easily without being weighed down).

History: Kuro's family in Chaski was quite rich and they both designed and built buildings and statues, as well as a few other things. But after several mistakes, also followed by a burglary which ended up in the loss of some of their money and precious items, they eventually fell into poverty, finally having to sell their house for money and move into a secluded area and built a two-story wooden house with a sturdy roof and walls that kept the inside warm. Fortunately te thieves had not stolen their building tools. They eventually adapted to this life from the easy and rich life they were used to, collecting water from the nearby lake and from snow if they couldn't go to the lake, and hunting the creatures that lived there for food. His father was a void and his mother was a shifter, causing him to get powers from both. They have passed years ago and their graves are in front of the wooden house. (Can't find the pic I want for it. Just imagine a two story wooden house surrounded by snow with two mounds in from of it, a small porch with the door leading inside and seven windows, one on the first floor by the door, the second two on the sides of the of the first floor, one in the second floor from Kuro's room, one on the back from the second floor, and two more one the second floor.)

Powers/Abilities:


-Able to create small black holes, the size of a regular cutting-board at max, and can either keep it around him to suck things in or blast it towards his target to attack.


-Can manipulate the gravity of the area (or just himself) around him to make himself, as well as others feather light or be pulled to the ground by the force of gravity.


-Almost superhuman (an exaggeration. Just sounded good) speed and agility. He is able to run at great speeds and cover vast distances in shorter amounts of time than most demons.


-He is adept at the martial arts but not an expert, or even a master at that.


Weaknesses:


-Creating a black hole and maintaining it requires great concentration and focus from him and will also tire him greatly if used repeatedly and can leave him breathless even after one use.


-Altering the gravity around him not only effects the demons and animals around him but also himself, though he can limit it to himself (for example he can he can free himself of the chains of gravity and jump up great heights easily without being weighed down).


-He has great speed and agility but his stamina is not as great as his speed.

Hey there, your character is great so far I just wanted to explain how Void works in this universe and make a few notes(I know @Lazygout and I didn't put it in the info how Void works because we only discussed it today >.<). So basically how Void works in this universe is that Void Manipulators are able to open portals or create rifts into the Void(the Void is nothing but black space) so by doing this Manipulators can shift the gravitational pull(please not this is a gravitational pull not push) around these rifts or portals so you can suck people in, change the gravitational force in a small area slightly or travel short distances instantly. If you have any other ideas on how your character might be able to uniquely manipulate the Void then just pass a quick PM to either myself of Lazygout and we'll discuss it and get back to you


Okay so if you understood my terrible explanation above then you should see that your character will no longer be able to use his Void to push/blast characters, other than this I think his Void powers do fit fine. Lastly I would like to ask if you please remove his superhuman speed and agility as it makes him a little OP, being able to shift, use Void and be naturally faster and more agile is a biiiit much xD


Side Note: to make your character more interesting perhaps in the beginning make him a little weaker, maybe unable to do some of the abilities you have listed and instead he learns them over time throughout the RP. You don't have to take this advice of course but it will make for a more interesting character to RP in my opinion ^^

-Creating a portal is a simple task however he will often make mistakes and if he forgets a certain place, he will not be able to go there. The portals are also limited by size and cannot fit anything huge and if held up for too long, he will eventually become very tired.

Personality: He is in some ways kind and a gentleman despite his rough past. Jokes some of the time but can be serious, it is hard to convince him to trust anyone, he is strong and willing to do anything for a friend or himself, and he is kinder to young children and women. In his stage Psychosis form however he begins to grow form dark and silent and abrupt and insane.


History: His ancestor's beginning was in Rome, Italy as they spent a life of luxury. He on the other hand grew up in a criminal infested city which was part of the decaying earth. His mother was a Shifter and his father was a Weapon. As you can guess, his father was aggressive and whenever he got mad he took it out on his son. His mother was going to divorce but before so Dallas ran away and joined up with a large organized crime organization which was called "Seditio" but he rather prefer to them as the "New Mafia". They said things like he would "Be fighting for the right cause they were". He felt he would fit in well. That is until he started robbing more from the innocent and poor then the rich. He however had little control over his powers at the time so he felt useless. When he finally got control of his abilities he overpowered his gang and killed the leader. However they would not stop until he suffered so he faked his death after which made them loose interest in him and his family and there was no funeral (They could not find his body). He actually ran off to Tsuri and has been sending letters to his mother from there ever since. He mainly has a diet that allows him to stay full without killing more than 1 animal. He has made a plan to go back to Chaski in a little bit.


Likes: Peace and quiet, friendly faces, the sound of his Mandolin, and trying to help others


Dislikes: Loud noises, unfriendly people, screaming, and hurting those who don't deserve it


Powers/Abilities:His ability is to shift into stronger forms. He has 2 of those and his psychosis form which can increase agility. In his strength stage however he receives a strength boost


in which he will be able to punch up to 5,000 to 15,000 psi and can lift 5,000-10,000 pounds in his two stages. As for the Psychosis or shadow form which he inherited from his father's father he can move to a speed of 60 MPH and he can attack with claws and pike sharp tendrils but he has little control over it's generation which means it is most likely to happen randomly. He can use his strength abilities out of his form but it only gives him a punching force of 2,000 PSI and can lift 500-1,000 pounds

Weaknesses: Bright lights (Ultra Violent lights) shined in his eyes and very loud sounds will give him headaches and blur his vision leaving him vulnerable to attack in his other forms. He can also be severely injured if his armor is punctured for he has no time to close his armor or set himself up for the attack and it is very difficult for him to catch a void race member unless in stage Phycosis but he faces the possibility of becoming insane for a time's being and in stage 2 armor he can go into a state of no response.


Other: He carries with him a small Italian guitar known as a Mandolin. He mainly plays it to entertain himself or others. Two of several songs he remembers is "Tarantella Napoletana" and "Tu vuò fa l'americano". His Mandolin looks like this:
