Trying to find that 900th Korok
Welcome to a World of Demons...

Once, it was a Human's world. A thriving metropolis of wood, stone, and metal. Mankind was in control, and it seemed
nothing could change that.
That is, until the Demons arrived. The land of Demons had been sealed many years before by the
ancient sages, but that seal has aged and withered, and finally their king, Wickr Nega, has broken free. Humans fled
underground as the Demons industrialized and customized all of the human civilizations. Huge walls were erected
around the demonic cities, keeping less tame demons from interfering with the culture of the beasts. Wickr was able to
watch and laugh as he watched the humans flee. He would let himself be bargained with, knowing perfectly well what a trial
it would be to get to the castle.
-
Wickr looked through the large window above the door to his throne room. He smiled at the chaos his demonic subjects may have been inflicting, as he awaited something interesting to happen. The initial takeover was excellent, but eventually, he grew bored. Human casualties no longer got a chuckle out of him. He simply observed, waiting for the day a formidable resistance would appear. He also had his eyes on the moon, but he figured it'd be best to wait until humans were entirely out of the picture. So he sat, simply waiting for a time when things would give interest again. A dark wind blew over the land outside of the castled areas. The air was toxic, being converted from Oxygen to a substance nicknamed Demoxygen. The grass and nature had turned teal, any flowers becoming crimson buds. The skies in general were dark, with only soft bits of a sort of antimatter decorating it - that, and the stars. Less tame demons frolicked out in these fields, drinking the disastrously toxic water but not being affected. Emperor Wickr Nega instructed his Construction Demons to build the walls to keep humans and the overly destructive out.

Teddy
The day had just started and Teddy was ready to play! He woke up rolled around in the dirt and ran around town giving love and attention to all his demon 'friends', Oh how he loved mornings! Teddy's tail was wagging as he walked up to one of the small demon stalls. A large demon with sharp horns and multiple eyes looked down at him, not giving him the friendliest of looks, but Teddy sat there looking up at the demon with contentment.

The demon nudged Teddy with his foot to push Teddy away, hoping it would make him leave. Though not understanding the gesture, Teddy rolled on his side, now wanting his belly to be rubbed as he continued to wag his tail in enjoyment. Seeing as he was getting nowhere a low sign came from the large demon. He placed his hand upon his head in frustration then threw down a piece of meat to Teddy.

Teddy quickly jumped up grabbing the meat with his sharp canines before running off into the distance toward the large castle. Teddy slowed down as he neared the castle, quickly gulping down the chunk of meat. He was soon able to see some guards outside the castle as he got near. They looked serious. He slowly walked up to the guards, looking up at them with a tilt of his head. They didn't look back. Maybe that meant he could go through today? Teddy's tail started to wag excitedly and before the guards could stop him or get a good hold on the flaming pup, he ran past the group of guards and rushed inside the castle.

Through the door, running up the stairs, more and more guards started after Teddy as he ran around the castle. All of them trying to stop the demon pup before he caused too much chaos. At one point Teddy looked behind him, seeing the group of guards made him even more excited. He loved tag! Why did no one tell him they were playing tag?! Teddy barked (Though he sounds more like a lion or tiger) at the guards and jetted off through the castle, They would never catch him now, Teddy was the best at Tag!

After going through room upon room Teddy busted through the doors of the throne room, the guards piling in after him, trying to stop him from bothering the king. That is, if the king couldn't already hear all the commotion outside his doors. One finally grabbed Teddy but they all froze when they saw the king in the room. Oh no! What was the king gonna think about this madness?! Teddy panted happily out of breath, his tail still wagging madly. That was a great game of tag! With a bit of wiggling Teddy was able to break free of the guard and land on the ground before looking up at the King. He tilted his head and slowly trotted his way over toward the king, barking once again as if to say hello, before sitting down with a bit of a plop.

Logan
Logan Had woken up way too early, he had been having trouble sleeping the past few nights and had taken the extra time awake to add tiny designs to his weapons and write down poetry and notes in a small notebook. Though, the lack of sleep meant that halfway through the day he would get tired and begin to drift off, which was terrible when you're supposed to be watching for demons.

Logan sat at a small desk, his head planted in his arms. He felt tired, but not tired enough to sleep, and yet his body begged for rest. He couldn't win. "Maybe someone can take my place for watch today." He sighed as he slowly sat up and rubbed his drowsy eyes. There was no way he'd make it throughout the day without a nap, but he'd much rather lay down and pass out for eight or ten hours instead, but a nap would do. He sighed moving to his bed, he wasn't needed till later today so for now, more sleep.

Eliza
Waking up from her bed Eliza sat up and quickly got dressed, she had watch duty this morning and she couldn't be late. Taking someone's place when they've been up all night watching for demons wasn't a hard job, but it wasn't a good idea to keep them waiting either. Grabbing her bow and something quick to eat on the way out she rushed her way other to the towns gates.

The King's Response
Wickr had heard the noise of the canine demon, destructing the castle in the game of "Tag" long before he got to the stairs to the throne room. With a sigh, he looked at his guards, then to the pup. He had wished for something interesting, hadn't he? Maybe this was just what he needed. A breaking-and-entering by a dog or otherwise doglike demon. The King waved his arms, a gesture to dismiss the guards. They reluctantly released their hold on the demon, bowed, and left to return to their posts. "So, what's your deal?" He said in a deep, serious tone as he observed the smaller beast. He admired the molten properties of it, perhaps thinking of combat application if the beast proved worthy. To help entice the creature, Wickr aimlessly threw a slab of meat from his untouched lunch down to the dog. He had never had any sort of royal pet, or any such thing, but he would be able to restrain himself from allowing such containment, having more royal duties to attend to. In any case, he eagerly awaited to see the dog's reaction.

Milo Wilkins

Milo sat outside of the little dwelling he called home, still dressed in his dirtied on-duty clothing. In one hand he held a demon skull, the other a polishing rag. He was humming and singing cheerfully, occupied by his own imagination.

"Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends~" He sang, then laughed, holding up the skull to his face. "Friends with a Demon. Maybe one day, but for you? Your punishment for you horrid behavior towards us shall be an eternity as a deceased centerpiece!" He laughed at the skull as he went back to polishing it. It had belonged to a recent kill by himself and a few other men. A weaker, lower-threat demon that had strayed too close to human tunnel entrances. That was if you could call any demon low-threat. It had still taken significant man power to bring down.

Glancing up at the sound of footsteps passing by he noticed a young woman briskly passing him by. He assumed she was on her way for watch duty, vaguely recognizing her face. Elsa? Ella... No, No! Eliza. He turned the skull around in his hands and placed it over his hand in a puppet like fashion before calling out.

"Be careful out there!" He called before snapping the jaws of the skull together with his fingers to make the skull 'talk'.

"Look out for my friends!" He said with a horribly executed change of voice trying to imitate a demon.

Teddy
When the king spoke to Teddy, he replied with another lion-sounding bark. His tail continuing to wag wildly, occasionally it would hit the ground and a gentle tap could be heard. Teddy's eyes widened as the King reached for some meat that he had. Was that for him? Oh, he sure hoped so! As the king tossed the meat Teddy sat up on his hind legs to catch it properly between his sharp canines.

It only took a second for the meat to become completely devoured. Teddy licked his non-existent lips and looked back up at the king, his belly now a bit more full, he seemed to have calmed a bit, though his happy and playful demeanor stayed. Teddy stared up at the king for a bit, wondering what to do. Maybe if he did a trick he'd get more food? His tail wagged at the thought, man did he think with his stomach. Hoping he was correct, Teddy laid down then rolled over before sitting back up and looking back at the king for a reaction.

Logan
Laying in bed with no luck of sleeping, Logan sat u, rubbing his still tired eyes. "Well, guess I'm getting up." He sighed and she slowly stood up and stretch, cracking his back as he did so. "I need breakfast." He rubbed his face, trying to think clearly before starting his day.

Taking his time he made his way to the small building kitchen, looking for something to fill his stomach. Going through some cupboards he found what looked to be a cereal bar. "This will work." He yawned and stretched out again before removing the cover plastic and holding the bar in his teeth as he moved over to a nearby chair and grabbing his shoes before biting through the bar. Eating a bit of the bar before placing it back between his teeth and getting his shoes on. Time to start the day! Even if he didn't really want to. He sighed and stood back up eating the last of his cereal bar then head out, maybe a quick walk would help him wake up.

Eliza
As she walked to her post a voice caught her off guard. A bit confused, she paused, turning quickly on her heel to the sound of the voice and smiled. She had recognized the face, Milo. She never spoke to him much, and honestly, sometimes he creeped her out, but she wasn't one to judge someone for how they act. They were all stuck down here, and starting fights or making enemies weren't anywhere near her todo list. She shook her head a bit as she watched him control the demon skull, it made her smile to see that he was keeping himself entertained. "I always am." She replied and as she turned back around to continue to her post she gave a short wave of goodbye. "I'll see you around Milo, I gotta get to my post." She smiled listening to his voice impressions of the demon. She wished she had more time to stop and talk, but she couldn't just make someone wait for her. She hated making people wait, and when they had been on watch duty for so long, it wouldn't be right.

As she got closer to the gates she looked up at the walls with their supports, glad it was still standing. She began a climb up one of the side ladders that followed up the wall. Once at the top of the ladder, she crawled up into a space about 3 feet tall. It entered the cave for about 6 feet and gave a little more than 4 feet of leg room, it was built into the side of the cave wall and inside sat the man she was to replace. "Sorry for keeping you waiting." Eliza gave a kind smile at the man, he gave a bit of weak smile back and sat up, getting ready to leave. He had a jug of already gone water beside him and on his lap, his rifle.

He gave a short nod and moved out of the way, grabbing his rifle as he switched places with Eliza and began down the ladder. Eliza began to get comfortable in the small space. She leaned against the stone wall and looked out toward the open holes in the walls that peeked out and showed the front gates from the outside. She slowly removed her bow from her back held it tightly, grabbing a few arrows from their holster and placing them against the walls under the lookout holes for quick ease of access.

This watcha re wasn't very large, and she would prefer a place on the wall, but it did its job. Though it was a bit cramped for someone with a bow and arrows, she never complained. Even if a demon appeared she'd still have superior aim, and the rock walls that surround her would make for great protection from any projectile attacks, that is if they could find her spot from along the walls.

Wickr Nega
The King looked upon the small demon, laughing a bit to himself as he watched the creature devour the gift. He still had one slab of meat left, which he promptly threw to the doglike creature after it did it's trick. He thought about how such rampant hunger could be used in battle. His fantasies drifted to vigorous scenes of violence concerning the canine's teeth and enemies. He began speaking once again, in natural beast demon tongue, hoping the demon would understand his words.

"Such violence has application in the battlefield. Would you be interested in becoming a hunter for the King?" He smiled as he considered how many battles would be won with such a creature in his possession. He sighed happily, before awaiting further response from the hungry pup.

((Sorry my posts aren't too long, it's hard to convey TOO much without feeling that I have skipped reaction time.))
