Death Beyond the Pines
Will you survive the apocalypse?
Four months after the onset of a zombie virus spread across the eastern United States, a group of survivors living in a small town have established shelter in a large store with several departments. As fall ends and winter approaches, they must find a way to handle the cold and restock dwindling supplies for the winter. As if that were not difficult enough, the threat of looters and hostiles from out of town is at an all-time high.
Setting
Bluefort: Bluefort is a town with high elevation, surrounded by mountains and rivers and accessible through roads that lead through said mountains and a bridge leaning over the river. Homes range from small, shack-like cabins to mansions on hills. Before the apocalypse the population was between five to ten thousand, many of which left for the quarantine zones in the west when news of the virus spread. A small segment of the population remain, some scattered throughout the town, but many of them reside in an abandoned grocery/clothing/pharmacy/home store near the town's center. Since several months have passed after the spread of the virus, zombies are few and far between in most parts of town, and many are not very mobile due to lack of available prey. Survivors are able to venture outside of the shelter to search for food and supplies.

The Zombies
Inspiration for the zombies is taken from the movie Train to Busan.
They move at human speed when freshly-turned, eat human flesh, become disoriented and blind in the darkness and are drawn to sound when they can not see.
They can be killed by wounds that would kill a human but are also pretty strong (a group of twenty or so can break a glass wall if determined).
They also have no conscience and cannot be reasoned with; the virus causes the person's consciousness to die while their body remains animated.

1. Do not kill off characters without their creator's permission
2. Do not act or speak as a character without their creator's permission
3. For the sake of moving things along, we will skip ahead to the next day (in RP) every Sunday (IRL) if the roleplay has not caught up.
4. If you will be absent for an extended period of time let

If you are inactive in RP & OOC for a week without explanation, your characters will be removed from the cast list but you may ask to be re-added anytime.
5. The obvious: Only human characters (or their pets, livestock), no power-playing or god-modding etc.
