Dear Gamer: Let's Seek Each Other Out (IC)

Valentina Aeternum

~A Goddess of Story~
Dungeon Master; as she called herself was circling ten tables, on each table rested a body of someone very alive but very unconscious, she knew each of their names, they'd told her them; of course she had known the names from the very beginning, their online personas weren't able to hide them from her, who was a master hacker and if she wanted could probably shut down the systems across the world. She didn't go such a direct route though, no, she would put these 10 people through the wringer and maybe change their minds so they'd start to work with her on changing the world; maybe it wasn't the best idea to earn their support through these games she planned, but it would surely be fun. A grin split her sharp facial features then she set to work, the first was Leon Bournholdt a student who worked part time at a restaurant, athletic and she could tell from his build that yes he was, not like what she'd thought a gamer would look like. ( @LeSoraAmari) She had asked them such odd questions for several reasons; though as she had expected many hadn't answered her properly, but oh well~ They would all remain unconscious until she gave them the medicine to wake them up, Leon would be the first to get his microchip; to protect him from her systems and register him as a player on her islands, thankfully he wouldn't see how the process went down, because the chip seemed to have four crawling legs on each side as she pushed his shirt up to reveal his stomach, and placed the chip over his belly button where it sunk the sharp legs in and stuck fast suddenly, the chip settling into skin and holding firm, she tugged a few times to confirm it was stuck fast; it was and in royal blue, uniquely his code for the island. Poor boy~ oh well, he'd get over it eventually...even if by the end of her games she had to lose her life, she was one person among millions, no billions, and she knew her place in the world!

Her next target was a big man, one she wasn't surprised her android had trouble bringing to her, Christopher Peck ( @Mistory ), he was taller than her by far, where she only stood at 5 ft even he was a solid ten inches taller than her and heavy, with mostly muscle it seemed, he was a night janitor in a hospital, skittish as all get out, he was loyal and sweet though, which made her soften to him a bit, hoping he'd find his partner quickly or at least another participant, thankfully her first game was on the safest Island she had, so he wouldn't be in danger; his skittish ways were why she had picked he partner for him she had. Her eyes momentarily moved over to the Russian woman before she pulled out another chip, this one in white, another pulled up shirt, then she set the chip on his stomach, it stuck in seconds and she smiled sweetly. She wasn't unsympathetic mind you, she knew their stomachs would ache a bit from the pain caused by the chip, she had put one on herself as well a long time ago when she was first making her security system. She pulled his shirt back into place and moved on to the next.

Next was one of the two James' she had, James Nugent ( @Samurai Jay ), the only one who probably knew what a tree actually looked like, but with the forests slowly being destroyed that had been a quick job to lose, he was a security agent now, he was competitive and easily flustered by women; which was why he had been paired off with a man that he would hopefully not freak out with. She wanted people to actually interact after all, which is why she'd made her pairs as she had, where Christopher had severely outweighed her while also being tall, Arsenal was lighter but two inches taller; what the heck was with all these giants? The same as she had done she pulled a deep blood red chip from her pocket, set it on the man's stomach she had exposed and let the chip set, she didn't need to check them all. He had troubles trusting others, and found it hard to focus, she'd have to make sure he got sent to one of the more interesting areas of her Vita island.

Finally DM approached one of the few women who had answered her email, Cecilia Leclair ( @Scarlet Fires ), a French beauty who loved to paint and worked for a newspaper, she was shy and had a form of social anxiety, not that DM blamed her for that, in this world where so much was experienced through internet and not face to face how could she? She was going to be difficult on her partner, but that's why she'd chosen the slightly crazy fellow to be her partner; someone to push her out of her comfort zone. She was a bit gentler with Cecilia, lifting her shirt and placing the green chip carefully on her stomach, it still dug in the same as every other chip so far, but DM had programmed it to not be so rough, the French maiden's stomach wouldn't hurt so badly as some of the boys...okay so maybe Dungeon Master was a wee bit sexist, but she knew how delicate a woman's skin was...though the chip might leave a scar. With a sigh and sweet smile she lightly patted the girl's stomach and moved on.

Oh there she was standing next to the 6 feet tall Russian woman; so many nationalities~ DM thought happily before sort of twirling around Nazaria Solotov Voichek's ( @Yonsisac ) table, she liked this woman quite a bit, she was a simple worker with a smart ass attitude and an intelligence that Dungeon Master admired, maybe with a temper too but that would be fine, poor Christopher could use her guidance most definitely, another of those grins split her features while she spun out a cerulean blue chip, and tucked it under Nazaria's shirt, where it dug it's little legs in and immediately stopped wiggling to make sure it was set. Nazaria was among the most interesting of her players, the woman was missing her right eye and used a glass one to hide this fact, DM wondered how long it would take Chris to actually notice the woman's disability? Well any good man would stay at her right once he discovered the little flaw. Humming happily Dungeon Master skipped on to the next victim.

Next up was Arin Genesis ( @NextGenRolePlayer ), mister 'PlayerOne' himself; or so he claimed often times, DM didn't like him much, he posted concept art and comics on a website; which is how she had found him, he dreamed about making his own games and had assumed she was a bot online, well he would soon discover how wrong he was, grinning she was not gentle with him at all, she pulled out the crimson red chip; is a few shades brighter than Arsenal's chip, and dropped it on him, letting the little device find its own way to where it would settle on his body, which even unconscious was probably a funny feeling to have, something crawling all over you. The dark haired woman laughed brightly at the thought, she already knew he was afraid of jumpscares and dark ominous places, so she planned to send him to the caves on Vita, his anger wasn't going to get him anywhere in DM's games!

Now she was getting to the unpleasant ones...as soon as she was at the next table GM was frowning deeply, Elizabeth Smith ( @AceOfSpades0210 ), rude and crude were the best ways to describe this brunette, the woman had described herself calling DM all kinds of perverted for asking the questions, it was supposed to help DM find the girl yes but sheesh! Another person she didn't want to be gentle with, she was sporty, unemployed and the heart of what she had imagined a gamer would be, except her attitude. This made DM scowl again and dropped a purple chip on the girl, letting it do its own thing again, the sooner she moved on the better, she really didn't like Elizabeth.

Next was the distant Alex Fox ( @snakeyem12 ), the odd one, he couldn't feel pain like others could, he probably wouldn't notice the chip if he couldn't feel the pain; well at least until he showered or something, he had refused to share his history at all, while that irked her to no end she didn't care much either though, it wasn't important to her games. Maybe the distant boy would grow out of that during the events, he was going to have to push himself to survive her games. Sighing she placed the black chip under his shirt and stared for a minute, he feared losing his senses, a feeling she knew well; thankfully for her, her parents were just as smart as she was and had given her eyes when she'd been born blind, technology had saved her but still...there was too much, and she had her reasons for doing what she was. Another sigh escapes as she walks off, hoping that Alex would be able to handle the situation.

Matsushita Kazuki ( @Mykinkaiser ) was one of the last two left to chip up, he was slightly crazy...DM didn't know why she thought that but she did, on the surface he was polite and gentle, calm even, he was another that bothered her...not the same way Elizabeth and Arin did, Kazuki; as she preferred to call him, had asked for information in return for his own information...she hadn't answered him, he wouldn't send the picture OR share any history; even a little, yes he made her nervous. Though when it came to her game she would not show him that...more than that his way of answering had been bad for her heart, making it race with nervousness; again not something anyone would see. Dungeon Master narrowed her eyes on Kazuki's unconscious form, pushed his shirt up and pressed the rose red chip onto his stomach, where it dug deeper than the others and stuck, his would hurt and he'd just have to deal with the pinkish red or his chip, he'd die if he removed it.

Finally she got to her most interesting target, James Harvard ( @FemTheHufflepuffRiceball ), he was not a gamer, his sister was...DM figured he must have noticed it open on his sister's computer and had answered it instead, well he had saved his sister from this fate at least, but now he was stuck on an island with a bunch of gamers while he was not among their number, she wondered how that would go? He was talkative though and maybe he could get through to Alex, it was why she had paired the two together. With a smirk, because he was the last one, she pulled the sky blue chip from her pocket and placed it, once it settled she moved away from him.

She revisited each table, androids already picking them up and injecting medicine that would finally awaken them into their bodies, before any started stirring she put data sticks tagged with colors in each of their pockets and sent her androids on their ways, she sat on one of the now vacant tables and grinned widely. "Let the games begin..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Important Information Below!
Teams: Blue Team - Leon and Elizabeth, each would find a blue data stick in their pockets. Leon was located in the Deep Forest, far away from the river entrance, his partner Elizabeth was placed at the far end of the Underground River.
Purple Team - Christopher and Nazaria, each would find a purple tipped data stick in their pockets or on their person. Christopher is located on the Beach at the end of it,  along the shoreline, a cliff at his back, Nazaria is located in the Abandoned Hotel on the bottom floor.
Yellow Team - Alex and James Harvard, each finding a yellow data stick in their pockets. Alex is located on the top floor of the Abandoned Hotel, about 3 stories high, and James Harvard was placed inside the Caves.
Red Team - Arin and James Nugent aka Arsenal, each will find a red data stick in their pockets. Arin will be located in the Caves, while Aresenal is located in the Deep Forest, near the dangerous entrance to the Underground River.
Green Team - Matsushita and Cecilia, each would find a green data stick in their pockets. Matsushita is located within the Underground River in one of the dead ends in the middle of the island, and Cecilia is located on the Beach, along a path that could lead one into the Deep Forest.
 James Harvard, BusyParrot6; In a Cave and in WTH Mode
James-th.jpg
 "Unnnnnggghhhh....where'm I?" A blonde man opened his ocean blue eyes to find himself on the floor of a cave, all alone. The man blinked surprisedly, looking around. Huh. How did he get here? James scratched his forehead, mumbling "huh", then stood up. "Curious. How did I end up here?" the man said softly, kneeling to touch the ground. An interesting texture, like sand, almost, he noted. The walls of the cave were wide and there was a large amount of dimly-lot passages. James looked around, adjusting his favorite hat.
Now, remember what you've learned from being a merchant, James. Taking any of these paths could be risky. What did Wikihow say about this?
If you're deep in a cave, try to find airflow and follow that source, I suppose. The blonde sat back down, closing his eyes. Maybe he could feel the airflow if he concentrated hard enough.
James begins to wake up slowly and breaths in the fresh forest air smileing softly as.... Wait fresh forest air? His eyes shoot open and he gets to his feet as he sees himself in the thick forest. He looks around and checks himself out knowing from the throbbing pain in his head he was knocked out or drugged. He sees the chip in his stomach. ".... Great this feels like the opening to a MMO...but ive seen enough movies to know to avoid touching the chip for now."
James looks around him takeing in the dense forest. "Ok its not like the coniferous forest by me...this is south of my house... Way south." He looks around and goes into his pockets to see if anything he had on him is with him since he knew he had his pocket knife in his pocket when he was at his computer typing to that woman... Wait that probably had something to do with it. "I should of never wanted to be a beta tester... Now I'm fucked"
Alex stands up immediately upon waking up, looking round to get a good idea of where he was. He was slightly groggy and could tell he'd probably been drugged or knocked out. Either would probably explain why he was in a strange overgrown room. He'd assumed this thing he'd volunteered for would involve playing a group of different video games but clearly not.
He makes his way carefully to a window, because honestly this floor didn't appear too trustworthy, and he looked down to see where he was. Third floor probably. He can't tell much about the rest of this place but now he has an idea about his immediate surroundings. He pauses for a moment and realises he doesn't even know what his goal is. That would probably help. He reaches into his pockets to check for a hint on what's going on. Chances are he's got nothing but he might as well try. All he finds is a yellow data stick, which could possibly help, if he had some way to view the contents. He leaves the window to see if there's stairs or something, because maybe he'll find something that makes his goal more clear. Or a computer, although judging by how old this building is, he's not hopeful.
Oh, why did everthing hurt.
 Shifting, the male quickly realized something was wrong. He jolted awake, sitting up quickly. A mistake he would regret. His stomach! It hurt worse than his head!
 The male tore his shirt up to make sure he was alright, but he didnt like what he saw." A...circuit board? No no, it was its own device. A chip? Why was there a...OUCH! Ok, lets not mess with it..."
 What did he get into last night...this was far to elaborate for some prank...
As he looked around he noticed he couldnt tell where he was. A beach? How did he get here? There wasnt a beach for miles...
 "Yeah...definitely not a prank..."
 Standing, he gave a growl. Damn that stings...
 "Alright chris...think...what to do..." what was he saying. He couldnt think right now. His mind was racing. With a grumble, he found a rock, and sat down with a shake of his head. It was more comfortable than the sand at least. He closed his eyes, and folded his hands between his knees. He needed to calm down so he could think clearly. Maybe he could remember something...ok,now quit panicking...there...deep breaths....
The small brunette slowly stirred awake. She let out a slight groan over the small pain in her torso. It took a few minutes before the woman realized she was on a beautiful beach 'ow did I get 'ere.... she wondered silently. Her cute face wrinkled in confusion as she glanced around unsure of where to go. The beach seemed to lead into a thick and very shaded forest, and although every bit of her was screaming to stay put, Cècilia got up, brushed herself off, and entered the forest. The small French woman knew that staying put on the empty beach, no matter how much safer it seemed compared to the forest, would get her nowhere. And although she feared it, part of her hoped to run into someone, anyone.... just so she knew she wasn't alone on this strange island.
"You've got to be kidding me.." Her voice a low growl, it bothered Elizabeth to hear an echo mimic her complaint. She awoke quickly and sat up, only to open her eyes to the new darkness of the underground river. Her feet barely touched the very edge of the flowing river, while the rest of her lie on the rock beside. She knew for a fact this wasn't the sewers immediately, with the rocky terrain more unrefined than the concrete flooring sewers were usually lined with. But why she was at a river, an underground one at that, she had no idea. Her last memory was responding to the email, calling out to her friend, and then waking up here.
But other thoughts quickly came to mind as her consciousness began to take in her surroundings. Her first instinct, to find somewhere warm. Suited in the clothes she wore around her apartment casually, her top consisted of a tighter fitting grey crop top with the lips hugging around her arms and midriff, and her bottoms being jean shorts cut at upper-mid thigh with the bottom lips frayed. "So lucky I wasn't going completely casual.." Her low sarcastic grumble already hinting at her displeasure, her arms crossed over her torso to grasp the opposite arm, rubbing back and forth to try and stimulate friction and warmth.
About a minute later, after she figured sitting around trying to warm herself up was not going to be working, she pushed herself up to the standing position. The movement gave a peculiar feeling, especially around her stomach. Looking down, she saw a faint outline of a chip rooting itself around her belly button. "The hell is this..?" She began to poke at it, beginning to feel like it wasn't supposed to come off with the way it stuck itself in her skin. "Wake up underground, with no light, and a chip stuck on me. Wonderful way to start my kidnapping." Her sarcasm was thick, but it didn't stop her from beginning to wander. Follow the river, and eventually you'll find civilization. At least, that's what she learned from watching so many of those wilderness survival videos on TV and the internet. Walking upstream, she could only hope she could run into someone who knew something about what was going on..
----------
"Ughh.." Her complaining sigh bounced and echoed off the walls of the underground river, giving no help as to what and where she was. It did not help that the entire area was dark, so she had no idea whether or not she was wandering around in circles or not. Her eyes had adapted as best as they could to the darkness, letting her see the faint outlines of the wall and the water.
Her arms were still across her body, constantly in motion to keep herself warm. With the way she was dressed and her  environment, it was miraculous how she didn't die in her sleep.
Her constant trek was broken, not by the discovery of an exit or light. No, her walking came to a stop as he she tripped on one of the uneven rocks and onto her front. She crashed, oh-so gracefully might I add, and barely managed to turn to her side to avoid landing face first. "Shit!.." She muttered, along with a flurry of other words not to be spoken aloud, to express her anger and pain. Her hands went instinctively to her left knee, where the pain was most prominent. Squinting her eyes to try and examine any injuries, there was a small patch about an inch wide that was visibly darker than the rest of her light complexion. "Oh boy.. Bri's going to die laughing.. Stay off your knees Liz!.. See what happens when you're way too rough.." She growled out at herself, her imitation of her roommate held with little malice.
She simply stood back up, and continued on her trek yet again. She wasn't sure whether the water beside her was safe to drink, let alone to clean up any injuries. The water could be contaminated for all she knew, and letting that extra bacteria into an open wound would give her so much pain later on. But it seemed her bad luck's streak was coming to an end, as she began to see light peering in from the next bend of the river. She rushed forward, careful not to fall again, and quickly followed the river until it opened up.
A large lake, brightened by a hole high above leading to the surface. If she cared to admire the view at all, she would see it to be a glorious natural sight and try and relax. However, she instead glared up at the hole high above her that lead to the surface. "You've got to be fucking kidding me!" Liz yelled out, both hands up at her head and running through her shiny brown hair. Turns out her bad luck continued, but at least she has somewhat of an escape. If only she could find a way up..
Kazuki.jpg
Name: Matsushita Kazuki
Username: Gleipnir
Location: Underground River
The first thing Kazuki noticed after his eyes snapped open was that he was wet all over, the second thing he noticed was that his stomach hurt. Sitting up, he found himself to be in what appeared to be a shallow part of an underground river, which would explain why he was wet. He could just make out the stone walls and ceiling of a cave system though the near pitch-black darkness. Deciding that there was no reason in staying where he was and freezing to death Kazuki stood up and waded over to the shore before undressing completely and wringing out his clothes as best he could. In doing this he noticed that there was what appeared to be a computer chip embedded in his stomach. He tugged on it lightly to see if it would come out but left it since he was met with resistance and more pain, signs that removing it without proper tools would be a bad idea. That done, he dressed himself once more, his outfit consisting of a dark grey Henley, jeans, and black high-tops. He then began to go through his pockets to take inventory of what he had in case whomever had kidnapped him had also taken his things. Checking his front pockets he found that he still had his keys and folding pocket knife. From there he moved onto his back pockets which held his (now useless) phone and waterlogged wallet which showed that his kidnapper had either not gone though his belongings or else had left them for whatever reason. Either way, it didn't much matter to the black-haired man. With his check complete Kazuki chose a direction and began to walk, deciding that it would be best to scout his surroundings. As he left the spot where he had woken up for a moment a distorted smile appeared on his face, as if he was having the time of his life, but it was gone as soon as it appeared.
------------------------
Ater walking for some time Kazuki still hadn't found a way out, it seemed that the cave system that housed the underground river was quite exansive. Luckily, Kazuki was in better shape than your average person and was thus able to walk for quite the length of time. In fact, he wasn't even breathing hard or sweating. Though, the lack of sweating might also be attributed to the fact that he was still wet, and a bit cold, from waking up in the river. Regardless, the question of how much stamina he had in regards to walking would have to wait for another day as he didn't end up needing to go much father as he heard what sounded to be a young woman who was very unhappy with the situation she found herself in. Quickening his pace, Kazuki noticed light up ahead before coming upon a brunette who appeared to be only a couple inches shorter than he was looking up at a hole in the ceiling that was allowing light in, and possible passage out should one be able to reach it. "Hello there," he greeted her with a vague smile that made it difficult to gauge exactly what he was thinking, "Need help getting up?"  It's worth noting that, despite his calm manner and offer to help the girl Kazuki had by no means lowered his guard, rather, he was on full alert. He had just been kidnapped after all.
Location: The Caves
"Uggggh... Where am I?" groaned Arin, which his dialogue echoed in the dark caves. "It's darker than a blackout." He sat up and notice little to no light at his location. So he knew two things: there's little light and there's an echo. From what I've played, I must be in a cave. Am I though? I don't see any torches! He carefully got up, trying not to fall over and hurt himself in the darkness. While getting up, he felt something crawling on his body. Arin managed to fall on his face with the sudden fear of the unknown. He sat back up and rubbed his hands all over his body to check for insects. He confirmed that there were no insects on him, so he continued to get up on his feet. What was that? I felt something crawling up on me! Am I scared or was it an insect!? questioned the poor guy. At least he was able to stand up.
"Now I should find my way out of here, I did see a small source of light," reminded Arin. This would not be an easy task, considering he can't see the ground or anything at all! He put his hands out for navigation and headed towards the light. His movements weren't full of courage and bravery. In fact, he took little steps forward while his body shivered in fear. Oh how he longed for his rolling chair and his dazzling computer. How did I get here? Did I drink a spiked soda? Did the food contain drugs? I hope not!
"Ugh.." Nazaria's eyes slowly open in the green embraced hotel but her vision was still slightly blur from just getting up, well, Waking up from whatever has happen. She was confused the fact that this was all a mysteries and more so all she remember she was on her computer getting information done only to be knocked out...its funny when you think about it: You are just sitting there mind your own businesses and you go "DONE!" and BANG right on the back of the neck and down you go to sweater town? but that was not funny now. "What- wherre am i?" spoke the Russian as she stood up slowly and looked around from what seem a abandon building of some sort, how long has this been abandoned? 20 years, 50? its walls seem they where replaced with leafs and vines after so long. It was not a big one ether maybe like 2 or 3 feet? it was hard to tell as she was still foggy and all this green. "vell...at least its not one of zose illegal organ trraffickerrs." her voice echoed in the dead building as she felt lucky her organs where intact...well she dint feel no pain or a rash...so she is fine- wait. A small itch would bother her on her chest as she would look and see a small blue...thing "What hell is zis zing?! Arrrrghh !" she said as her finger would scratch it but would only hurt, A worried sigh would tremble from her mouth as she would be dead by now but...whatever this was its not killing her...Hope its not the police or something with there latest tracking because she never did anything wrong!..well..recently. As she was up her feet would Carrie her out of the building as Nazarria would leave this chip thing alone for now...she was thoughtful of what would be here, hell even some telephone or something but looking at the conditions it is...Nhaaa, well for now...
Looking around she had -2% of where the hell she was, all she know this was not her home land that is for sure...But as soon she walked out the torn cement door way she would hear small bits of stone crumbling from the floors above hearing impact the hollowed stone. Her sight would look back in the building as was that a animal jumping around the inside building? or maybe some one else? she was lost and might as well take a chance...but of course carefully "who goes zerre? anyone in zis building?" she as as not even a single foot she would place inside till she was sure, Nazar was ready to take a run if it was some kind of animal but: confused,lost and knock out. What you expect some one to do? But as she kneel down slightly to look under the tumbled down walls a small purple...chip?,USB drive? dint matter, Fell off her pocket as it glow slightly purple from its sides and was warm. Picking it up and looking at it for a few seconds she would clench her fist tightly as her hand maintain it secured as if she had to run it wont fall out...maybe this was like a map inside? best keep it.
(Sorry for short replie! dint want to be seen as inactive!)
