Name: Daniel "Danny" Alexander Williams
Picture: (based on picture located above) Change his hair to brown, give him a metal-backed silver gauntlet on the left hand and a metal epaulet/shoulder-guard on the left shoulder, make his shirt short-sleeved without the neckerchief, turn his shin guards into ones that have metal plates attached around them and remove the strap hanging from his lower belt, and you have his appearance pretty well down.

Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 149 ibs, 5 oz
Body Type: Mesomorph-Ectomorph borderline

Personality: Danny is a determined young man who never gives up a cause once he takes it on, fighting to the bitter end to achieve his goals. He tends to lean towards being a bit of a show-off, having a slight arrogant side to him and a bit of cockiness once he's "in his element", but is nevertheless a good potential leader with the will to win and the drive to get things done. He doesn't take "crap" from anyone, and refuses to stand idly by and watch as innocent people are bullied or otherwise hurt by others. He ultimately loathes injustice and criminals, particularly those who are traitors in some form or another, and will bring them down with the utmost prejudice fueling his actions. He can sometimes come across as an adrenaline junky as well, as he lives each day for the now and doesn't stop moving for anything else when he gets on the move and gets properly driven or motivated.
However, underneath all of this bravado, Danny is a very caring soul who, despite his arrogance and bravery, is in and of himself more or less an eternal child whose heart of gold drives him to act upon whims, stopping on a dime to help those whom he encounters and finds in need of help. He has a very deep tendency towards generosity, often helping others without accepting any offered rewards unless he feels he can use it somehow. This generosity also shows itself in his tendency to give out extra food or money he doesn't want or need to anyone he finds that does need it, showing again his desire to help others. He is highly protective of the people he cares for, and will give his life to guard said people from harm, thinking nothing for the sake of his own safety. Ticking him off, particularly by threatening someone whom he loves or cares deeply for, is very much akin to asking for a death sentence, but if you can earn his friendship then he will stand by your side to the bitter end, even if it should happen to be his own.

Biography: Twenty years ago, back when video games were strictly bound to disk and cartridge consoles, two young adults - Marcus Williams and Maria Conner - found themselves on a whirlwind romance. Both had just been through terribly sad breakups, their respective exes abandoning them for what they believed to be more fitting and worthy suitors, leaving the two high and dry with no hope for love. However, the two soon found themselves drawn together by fate and the desire for virtual entertainment when they entered a console gaming competition, the two managing to meet in the semifinals of the biannual brawl. Both proved to be equal in skill, and everyone watching waited with baited breath for the victor to be decided. Ultimately, in a sudden death match, Marcus proved himself the winner worthy of advancing to the finals and parted ways with Maria with a firm handshake and a smile, each acknowledging the other's skills and exchanging phone numbers to arrange possible future rematches. Thus they began to meet every weekend for "game dates", playing video games together while often snaking real, proper dates in on the side in the form of dinners cooked together to be consumed during breaks in the gaming. In time, they came to realize they felt more than a mere rivalry existed between them, finding they liked more than just the same games. Both enjoyed the same movies, books, forms of art, music, and even the same kinds of food - they even liked the same styles of dance, both the ballroom and the street types - and hit things off as an official couple until Marcus finally challenged Maria to another match in the next round of the contest. This time, when the two met in the finals, Marcus found himself the loser, but seemed to take this in stride as he turned and knelt in front of Maria - and offered her an engagement ring, bought with money he'd earned from gaming tournaments since first he'd started playing at an arcade.
By that same time the following year, the two were already settled into a small house together with a baby boy to call their own, one whom they named Daniel Alexander Williams, or Danny. Danny grew up with the energy of a hundred boys twice his age for much of his young life, taking to such activities as martial arts, soccer, and running with a gusto, becoming both strong and healthy with decent muscles - never as potent as a proper athlete, but always firm and well-developed. He otherwise was constantly reading books, especially books about fantasy, taking to video games of the same subject matter even more readily than his parents ever had, mostly specializing in the area of RPGs. He studied well, long and hard, but never dealt himself to be quite caught out for an athletic or business career; as a result, he chose to supplement his career with gaming and writing, creating short stories for online publishing sites which not only raised their popularity but also earned him hundreds of extra dollars, allowing him to amass a large collection of games and systems to play on, using these to build up a hefty following on gaming streaming channels online. He's become so well-known and received, in fact, that he's been nicknamed on multiple occasions, "The Story-Master", for his habit of explaining the story to each and every game he plays as he plays it, or otherwise explaining how he's performing whatever he is in-game.
When Danny first heard of the upcoming Sword Art Online remake, he was extremely skeptical. He'd not had the chance to get a copy of SAO when the original had been released, and as such had felt cheated - until he'd seen the news reports of players dying whenever their twins in the game's world died off. He'd been outraged, wishing he could have been in the game to try and free everyone, feeling certain he would have been able to do so if he had only been given the chance to enter the game. Since then he's revisited his kendo and martial arts training to hone his skills for the remake of SAO, wanting to get in on the action this time in case of trouble. Thanks to the promise of a Reincarnation system, and his having both gotten enough money and camped out waiting for the release for several days and nights, Danny was among the first in his town to get a Bifrost and the SAO game, wanting to see how the new feature would impact the game and just what he could get into of adventure. Since then, he's been waiting eagerly for the initial startup and his chance to get into the game itself. His only hope is to become as skilled a player of this SAO as the legendary Black Swordsman of the original game.
