Appearance
Dami stands at 5'5 with the lithe body one would expect from a dancer. He has black hair, white skin (often covered by either a light tan or sunburn), ears that stick out perhaps slightly more than normal, and startling blue eyes.
Powers
Sami posses the, admittedly unoriginal, ability of telekinesis, he can move things with his mind. This does not require physical movement, although he does need to know for a solid fact that the object is there. If it turns out it is not, he will undergo considerable mental pain.
This ability works similar to muscles. The more you work it the stronger you get, adrenaline can fuel it, lifting something and holding/moving it are completely different things etc. Currently his limit is lifting a car a few inches off the ground. How many objects he can hold depends on the weight, while he could hold hundreds of spoons very few humans could be lifted once.
Weaknesses
• As it is where his power originates from, his mind lacks all blockades and defenses a mind would usually have. This leaves him particularly suseptable to mental attacks.
• As is the case with many mutants, his emotions dramatically affect his abilities. This includes both negative and positive emotions. He has long ago realized he would not be able to block out his emotions, and so instead has been working on manipulating the effects, instead of getting out of control he would only get stronger. He has, however, been working on this for more than a year and has seen little to no progress, and doesn't see any dramatic leaps in the near future. He remains optimistic, however.
Personality
While perhaps not being one raised with a particularly vibrant personality, fueled by a want to be noticed from long ago he has developed his personality into one of a story book character's, and he often feels that somewhere along the line the act stopped being an act anymore.
Loud, childish and almost insufferably cheerful, Dami has a thirst for attention. Whether it be an act of clumsiness (despite his usually graceful way of movement caused by hours of practice), idiocity and dimwittedness or just his loud, vibrant way of speaking, he likes to feel as if people are watching him, liking him, admiring him and, most importantly, accepting him.
He is a very social person and dislikes being alone or ignored. He also has a habit of seeing things as simpler than they really are. Someone's sitting alone? Go talk to them, add them to your group of 'friends' (aka people he's spoken to). Two of his friends are fighting? Force them to talk to each other, no matter what it takes. Being bullied? Make friends with the harasser! Easy. Along these lines, he also is very trusting and open, and considers, as said before, practically anyone he has ever exchanged words with, whether friendly or otherwise, to be a friend.
Bio
Dami was raised as an only child in a a happy upper middle class family. He was not the biological child of his parents, a fact he had known from a young age, but this had never bothered him, other than occasional wonderings about his biological parents as is to be expected.
He he was put into dance classes at 4 years old at it soon took over his life. He spent hours at his studio every night, further hours training and even enrolled in acrobatics classes to fuel his career, because by the age of 10 he knew dancing was going to be his career. He still practices these arts and hopes to one day be able to perform professionally without ostracism.
However, his powers began to bloom at age 13. While he attempted to hide them for a time, it's hard to control something emotion-based, and it wasn't long until he had an accident. Luckily for him, it was in his own home, just a small incident caused extreme happiness when he got the lead part in a dance performance. This caused one of his pens to fly at his mother, cutting her cheek, which only made Dami's feelings and therefore the situation worse. It eventually took both of his parents to calm him down. They sent him to the school the next week (in his own interests, as they were good people), and he made very little complaints. After all, he had already injured a loved one.
Other
• He suffers from monophobia, the fear of isolation.
• He exhibits many signs of ADHD (an inability to be still, hyper awareness, a painful [for himself and others] inability to concentrate etc) but has never confirmed his suspicions or paid much mind to them in the long run
• He doesn't really let negative things get to him emotionally, whether it be his problem or someone close to him's. This, ironically, occasionally bothers him and he sometimes feels like he is lacking emotion because of it.
