Damiano Veneziano da Roma was born a bastard on October 31, in the year of our lord 1491. His mother was a whore and she died in childbirth leaving the child without parents, the mistress of the Brothel left the child at the steps of Saint Peter's Basilica (not present day version). He was raised by the Bishop of the church until he was seven, there in the church he would be taught morals yet see many of the citizens and sometimes even the Bishop break these morals through this he saw the duality of men. He also saw how these men needed this structure in order to function, they were as sheep and they needed shepherding. After those years, this was also due to Rodrigo Borgia coming into power. the church could no longer support him and he was cast aside to the streets.
In the streets Damiano learned how to survive and how to go unnoticed He wasn't ever caught by the authorities. He learned in a minor how to blend and how to climb. He also learned the art of deception and stealing those being his only tools to survive. The next year, after he was cast aside, on December 28th Ezio Auditore killed many guards and caused the city to panic when he left the Vatican allowing Damiano to get money, stealing a hay cart he collected the bodies of the guards. He was able to amass enough money from their armour and clothes to buy himself a dwelling within Rome, this caught the attention of Templars within the city.
A year later he was Recruited by the Templars and due to the rise of the assassins and the child's natural ability he was trained by an assassin turned Templar, Sofia Veneziano da Firenze. She taught him assassination techniques, more parkour and how to better blend into his environment. He considered his mentor to be the closest thing to a parent he had ever had and he admired her and trained every day learning to become an assassin yet learning the Ideals of the Templars. during his training she gifted him her master's cloak (which was too large), he would eventually make some adjustments as to better fit his personality.
By the time he was 15 he had fallen in love with his mentor even though she was 26 and he treated her as such. He studied under her for another 2 years before they both went back to her home town of Florence. Their they married and due to his lack of a surname he took hers and became Damiano Veneziano. 3 years later they would have their first child together and by another 10 years they had 6 children together. Thanks to his cunning and the Templar order they were able to afford a Villa to the south of Rome but they still had work to do for the Order. Damiano willingly took all of his wife's duties as well leading him to not see his family as often as he would have hoped but his love of his family would help him persevere. He has worked hard for years yet recently the Templars had learned of a growing assassin menace in Venice and they tasked with infiltrating the order.
