Name: Cyan
Age: Adolescent
Appearance: Being a Grassland Slime, Cyan is able to stretch and kneed her gooey body into any shape, but the preferred form seems to be the mental image of a human girl that crossed her path once. It isn’t a perfect image however, as she can't remember exactly how the girl looked thus she never gets the shape quite right, especially the arms that she just can’t seem to form correctly at all. They usually end up looking like a waterfall of jelly flowing from her neck and shoulders. Also, she might resemble a human better if she didn’t look so squishy and shiny.
Starting Location: A damp and cool cave system running underneath grassland.
Short Bio: As a slime all you had to worry about was eating and splitting. From the moment they would split for their ‘parent’ they would find something to feed on and that was it. None of them were worried about the adventurers and heroes mowing them down. New slimes would form from the remaining gelatinous puddle of their fellow slimes and the cycle would continue.
Maybe if these little balls of goo had some form of intelligence they would see how living around the ones who hunted them could be considered stupid, but the humans had mountains of grub to eat, so the slimes remained.
This particular slime had been eating parts of a destroyed campsite with some of her kind when an wandering adventurer came by. The adventurer attacked the slimes one by one, slicing them up for a few points of experience, but in a twist of fate Cyan had survived the attack and her body started to reshape to a smaller size so it could fill up the deep cut in her squishy body. No slime had ever survived an attack and Cyan was.. surprised to see her body reform. Actually she was surprised by being surprised as well. At the time she didn’t understand, but these were emotions. Which eventually grew out to sentience and a more intelligent being.
Now that she had a mind that wasn’t dominated by eating she realized just how much of a threat the adventurers were and if she would be attacked again it would be the end of her. Maybe she could start with becoming faster? Slimes moved as slow as you would expect them to and Cyan was no different. So she tried to see if she could remember any form or shape that could make her faster. A human sure seemed fast, so she found a safe place to hide where she could grow and try to mold her body into a human-like shape. Which eventually worked, partially, but she was content with it for now and proudly gave her new appearance a name to go with it. Cyan, after her own color.
Personality: Cyan is a very bouncy, chirpy and adventurous slime. After gaining sentience everything needed to be explored and understood in some way or another. She is extremely curious and nothing can dampen her mood. Being the ‘life of the party’ she is always looking for a new thing to do and someone to share her experience with. Something she hasn’t done or experienced before fascinates her immensely and she wants to know everything about it, immediately!
Cyan also has a deeply rooted desire for companionship and actively seeks for it. This can potentially lead to some dangerous situation, but that hasn’t happened yet.

Species Description
These small balls of jelly-like substance are referred to as ‘Punching bags’ by new adventurers, but their actual name is the Grassland Slime and they reside near humans to feed of their.. well.. their everything! Be it their trash, their food or even taking parts of their campsite to still their hunger. These little creatures might not look it, but they are able to digest and get nutrition from any type of material by absorbing it into their bodies and wait for it to dissolve. Their ravenous consumption combined with their ever growing numbers made these creatures public enemy number one even though they have no intention of harming anyone.
The Grassland Slimes have only one need, which is eating until they can split into more slimes. Technically they could keep on growing until they would be the size of buildings, but their primal needs prevent that. Once they are large enough to split they will do so immediately. However, once in a while a group of slimes will migrate to a different location and adapt their bodies to be optimal for their new home. This creates all kinds of elemental slimes and these slimes grow bigger than their Grassland brethren. Elemental slimes are far harder to get rid of and will sometimes be hostile towards adventurers, making them a tougher target to take out.
