About: Riden's Cadavar and The Facility

MB6vVM5.jpg

Ah, good old RC. A normally lazy town located on what used to be a private island owned by a successful family in the late 1800s, now a quiet place known for good crops and good beer. We're a small mountain town, which means that secrets are impossible to hide and that the Wifi sucks. Deal with it. We have a one-classroom school for grades K-12, since our population is so small; those who attend college usually attend the next town over (about 800 miles away), Ivywood, which is more on the beach part of the island.

Riden's Cadavar used to be a fairly large town, but due to the rise of our curse in the last 25 years, the population steadily declined. 25 cursed were arrested last year alone. This year, however, we are trying out the Facility.

forest-mansion-house-yard-garden.jpg

The Facility is located just a quarter of a mile off of the Lilac-Viewing Path, a hiking trail known for the beautiful flowers that bloom in the spring. It is a quiet, calm place with air conditioning and heating laced with a narcotic that has been scientifically proven to lower the effects of the curse...but just barely. This year's bunch is our test run to see if the Facility works, or if we'll have to take more....extreme measures.

September 17, 2017. 9:03:51.Day One of the Facility Trial Run Project.

Fun fact of the day; a quarter of a mile requires only fifteen minutes of walking. Julius Blanche finished writing that down on his paper pad, nodding vigorously at he looked at this "facility" place. There was a pause, then he scribbled down a second note, unblinking as he did so. Fun fact #2; someone else in this town is gifted at Feng Shui. I should hunt them down and compare notes. After writing that final s, satisfied, he flipped the journal so it was closed, placing it in his right back pocket, then, both hands in said pockets, began walking up the front steps and into the main garden. The scent of withering flowers caught the man's nostrils; crisp, but sweet. He stopped at an area where beautiful bright red flowers still grew. Just for a moment, Julius could imagine one of those flowers in her long, silver hair...

Hesitating, he plucked one up, expecting it to wither at his touch. To his relief, however, it didn't; it just remained there. Even though it wasn't really, he almost felt as though it glowed gently at his touch. Strange. Julius looked, almost amused by how much it reminded him of her, then, without thinking, he raised the soft flower to his lips, kissing one of the petals. "Keep smiling for me, will you promise me that?" he asked the flower.

No response, as expected; sighing slightly, Julius tucked the flower into his shirt pocket, seating himself at the bench. It was such a beautiful day, almost serene. Closing his eyes, he enjoyed the crisp autumn air, the gentle breeze. The scent of pine trees surrounding the walls of the Facility. He wondered how long it would last...

(sorry, this'll prooobably suck--)

... Aw, crap. Not again... How long was I trying to get this shot?! Towards the beginning of the path, Lucy had just snapped out of one of her hyper focus moments after staring at an especially beautiful view for ten minutes, her camera clutched tightly in hand as she groaned at herself. Hopefully not too long, otherwise... Yeaaa, I'm screwed... She sighed a bit at the thought, her mind drifting to the letter she had received the day before, the one that explained that she had the Curse. Because of that, she really, really doubted it'd be a good idea to arrive at the Facility too late in the day... After all, they could think that she didn't want the help and go after her if she did. Of course, she doubted they'd do anything extreme, but it would probably be much simpler for everyone involved if she just arrived on time for once in her life.

So, with that in mind, she quickly darted off down the path (though she had to backtrack after a few minutes later, as she had dropped her camera and almost didn't realize it), worrying herself sick as she wondered just how long she had been fretting over the one shot.

However, eventually, Lucy rushed through the gates of the facility (though she didn't even notice it at first) a few minutes after Julius had sat down, panting heavily as she just collapsed into a sit near the bench, attempting to catch her breath after sprinting up half of the quarter-mile trail... Sure, it wasn't too, too far, but Lucy was not exactly physically gifted, so that was honestly not her smartest idea, though she preferred to be extremely exhausted when it came down to that or being late, especially today of all days.

So, for a few minutes, she merely sat there, not daring to look around for fear of finding another good place to take a picture. But, soon enough, she was back on her feet and ready to rush off again... That is before she spotted Julius and stopped in her tracks, her usual smile pulling at the corners of her mouth until she was beaming.

"Oh hey, Julius! What brings you up here?" Her voice was cheery as she officially announced her presence, sitting down on the bench beside him and stretching over her head, her camera now hanging from around her neck, as she finally looked around... And it was only then that she noticed she had entered the facility, much to her own surprise. "Huh... Well, this place was closer than I thought--" Lucy muttered, blinking a bit as she paused to study the facility. She could've sworn it would've been further up the path, but.... Apparently not.

But, oh well! At least she arrived at a decent time... Well, she was assuming she had, anyway, considering there were people still out and about and the sun was still out.

That simple achievement actually made her a bit proud, honestly... Though, she had now been absorbed in studying the facility. It was, after all, a gorgeous building... She wondered if she could take pictures of it or not, though she wouldn't dare ask such a question.

But, despite that, her smile brightened a bit more. This place looks nice... I'm sure it'll be just like home soon enough! She was as optimistic as ever, despite why she had come to be able to see the facility.

After all, this could be a lot worse, right? The place could have been a lot less nice,  and even  Julius was here, too, which meant she wouldn't be going through this alone! That was good... And the area was gorgeous, too, so she could take lots of great shots, no matter if they were confined to the grounds!

So, overall... Yea, she was definitely convinced that all of this would be okay.

Leon didn't care much for this place, but it was a step up from a prison cell. It was two steps up from his station during the war. Plus it wasn't to crowded, so he didn't have to worry about hurting others as much. He walked outside in a jumpsuit, the sunlight shining down on him. He looked around at the Facility, and then at his hands."How'd I end up with such fucked up luck? Maybe I should be in a prison. Might be best for everyone." He said to himself, walking forward, and  towards the yard.

He was hoping that he could do his daily routine in peace. But it seemed that he would have onlookers today. Two other "patients" one named Julius, and the other  Lucy. He rubbed his neck, stiff due to a bad nights sleep. He had those alot, mainly due to his nightmares...Well more accurately his memories. But he could relive those when he slept. Now was time for a work out, so he moved to a good position. A yard, or so infront of the bench Julius, and Lucy sat at. Then he began to work out, first jumping Jacks. Then he began to do push ups. First with both arms, and then he switched to one arm. Before changing arms mid push up.

He just hoped no one decided to have a talk with him while he was here. At least not while he was working out. After a moment he began sweating, and his push up began to grow slightly more straining. His breath became labored, and eventually he decided to take a break. Laying on his back, and resting, although he had done quite a impressive number of push ups in such a little time. He lost count after fifty, but he was certain he did at least a hundred in a few minutes at tops."Good job soldier, why don't you give yourself a pat on the back?" He said mocking himself for being so impressed by his own feat. He then looked over to the bench to see what the others where doing. Simply bored, and curious as to what other type of individuals they had around here. Since his arrival he had been rather distant, so the others barely knew his name.

For a while, Julius sat there in perfect tranquility, his violet eyes closed as he thought of how nice this was. Quiet and....peaceful. Wait, did he say that? A hand reached out for his pencil, but he stopped himself, instead deciding to enjoy the time he had right now. He sensed the presence of another sitting next to him; it seemed for a moment like whoever it was was going to leave, but then she didn't. Julius opened one eye, then, seeing that Lucy was right there, jumped backwards a few paces, a yelp escaping his lips. When he realized it was just his best friend, he cleared his throat, scooching back to where he had sat.

"Hey, Lucy..." the taller one answered; his voice was barely a mumble, but he didn't seem to worry about it. A hand fiddled with the flower in his pocket, almost subconsciously, then the hand floated away from said pocket, lowering to the bench. "....Why....am I here? I'm one of the people at the Facility," Julius said calmly, waving his hand at the massive building. There was a pause, then, his hand returning to the pocket, he got back to awkwardly fiddling with the flower. Rolling it between his fingertips. Watching as a third person entered. This guy immediately seemed weird, seeing as he started doing push-ups in a matter of seconds.

  Okay then.

That was totally logical and a normal thing that normal people do on a daily basis. Julius looked back to Lucy, taking the flower out and silently putting it in her hair, then gave her a long look. He spent a good thirty seconds readjusting the flower's position, poking himself in the eye twice, but succeeding in whatever the perfect angle was. When he finished, he immediately retreated,  staring at his piece of art.

"A-hem.....thought you'd like that.....the flower. Hair. It looks good in it. The flower. In your hair," he blurted out stupidly.

Arlen Maren Hearthe

Red Mist

Location: The Facility Gym || Scenario: Work out the frustration. || With: N/A || Mentions: Open for Character interaction

Arlen had been stubborn and refused to play along with the facilities games. He wanted a cure but he wasn't going to play a game of cat and mouse in some lab. His lawyer promised him the conditions would be as best as possible in such short notice. Then he was informed the only other option was euthanization. Suddenly the facility wasn't the worst option. he had never been one to believe in the supernatural or anything like that but ever since he woke up on the beach the memory of his skin melting as the engines exploding fresh in his minds eyes, he's been a slightly changed man. He prayed to any gods above to lend him strength regularly. Hopefully whatever asshole ruled above would be merciful.

Thankfully the Facility had a gym to monitor their heart rates and any changes in their body's due to extreme exertion. He had actually volunteered to be monitored. if you're stuck in a five   star prison why not get on the wardens good side? He remembered thinking to himself. Hopefully who ever was running the tests was happy with the data. Arlen wrapped his wrists and forearms in a white clothe before grabbing weights and a bar, setting up to squat. His knuckles were white as he gripped the bar turning his frustration into fuel for his body as he lifted the enormous 275lbs onto his traps bending his knees down and out holding a deep breathe as he finished the squat taking a breathe for his next few reps. He imagined the doors to the facility on his shoulders.

He would take his time and make connections, grow stronger. Those doors could weigh a million pounds it didn't matter. He would taste freedom again.

Adamaris Adora Zaina

Before Adora arrived at the facility, her parents gave her a dramatic and quite the heartfelt goodbye. Whispering something about it's for her own safety and she'll be back sooner or later than she realize. Oh, how silly this was for poor Adora. Getting sent into a facility for the cursed ones. The cursed ones. She puffed her cheeks and she once again felt the heavy thumping of her heart, she touched a hand on her chest and closed her eyes. She's one of the cursed ones and it scares her. "T-this is probably just some sort of mistake..." she whispered under her breathe.

It took the blonde haired girl almost an hour to explore her new surroundings and after minutes of walking and walking, she found herself in the yard. There, she saw two familiar faces. Two dark-haired boys and both quite the silent type. The younger longer-haired man, Julius, was talking with a girl on the bench. They looked like they were having a sweet and cute moment so she decided to just let them be. She promised herself that she'll surprise her friend with her own presence later.

Adora approached the shorter-haired man who's back was against the green grass, from afar he looked so peaceful yet when she neared him, she heard the odd fellow talking to himself. She grinned to herself before she bent down towards him, hands resting on her waist and her long golden hair possibly tickling Leon's face.

"Leoo~!" she beamed with such excitement, the high pitch sound of her voice signified just how excited she was to see her quiet friend. Truth to be told, Adora doesn't exactly know whether Leon does treat her as his friend but she did her best to convince herself that he does! "What a coincidence! Who'd know I'll see you here?" she giggled before pressing Leon's nose gently and proceeding to sit down beside him on the grass.

Daniel typed furiously at his laptop, glancing around as he saw people begining to arrive and go about their normal business. Huffing in annoyance, he quickly went back to trying to find a way to get some sort of connection on his laptop. Pausing for a moment Daniel took a deep breath before slamming the laptop closed with a look of obvious annoyance on his face.

"Why the hell is there no damn wifi or service out here?" He mumbled, the look of annoyance unwavering. Getting up from the porch of the facility he walked towards the pond on the other side of the grounds hoping that he'd be able to focus better by the water.

"Stupid so called doctors claiming that I have some disease that doesn't even exist. If it weren't for them I'd be at home with my service and my lab not out in the middle of nowhere." Gaze firmly on the ground Daniel shyed away from the people gathered in the courtyard, hoping not to be bothered by them.

"Hm? You are?" As soon as Julius said her name, Lucy's attention snapped back to him, her smile brightening a bit more. "So am I, actually! So, that's good, right? Well, better than not knowing anyone, anyway~!" As cheery as ever, she was about to continue to prattle on about how that was such a good thing.

Well, that is, before Julius did something that caught her off-guard; putting the beautiful red flower she had noticed him fiddling with moments ago into her silvery hair. She just... Blinked a bit again, watching as he spent several seconds adjusting it. Her cheeks flushed and her heart skipped a beat at the simple gesture. After all, it was such a sweet thing, and something she wouldn't have expected Julius to do.

Even as he pulled his hand away, Lucy didn't move, aside from the slight tilt of her head as she looked at him. She was surprised, but... She didn't mind. And, after a second of merely listening to what he said next, the soft smile returned to her lips.

"You're right, the flower's beautiful... I love it," she said, a hand reaching up to tuck a stray piece of hair behind her ear. Her fingertips lightly brushed against the petals of the flower as she did, before lingering there for a long moment... It was such a small gesture, but her cheeks were still pink.

Leon had closed his eyes, and was relaxed. He almost felt like he could have a peaceful, and relaxing sleep out in the yard. But he felt something tickling his face, it was odd and he swatted around him assuming it was bugs. But then his ears were assualted with a sudden annoying noise. His eyes popped open suddenly, and he stared up at an overly excited Adora. Whom beamed down at him, causing him to sigh and frown."Are you stalking me? Or did this place just decided to become a insane asylum as well?" Leon asked raising an eyebrow at her.

He then rolled over, and  puffed out his cheeks. He didn't exactly dislike Adora, she was just... A tad bit to much for him at times. She tended to be hyper, excitable, and loud. All things he wasn't, but she wasn't all bad. Kind of cute, and she was someone who he didn't have to say much to. But that was because she did most of the talking."So, I assume you're here because you're cursed as well?" Leon guessed, doubting they'd allow visitors to this place, and doubting anyone would visit him even more. Leon suddenly sat up, and tackled Adora. It wasn't a violent tackle, more playful, and he ended up with his arms wrapped around  her in a hug."Alright, so you've been found on enemy territory, what am I to do with you now soldier?" He asked giving her a serious stare, but obviously being playful by his tone of voice. Something he wasn't normally by any means.

After spotting Lucy's reaction, Julius felt his cheeks grow slightly warm. No. Bad Julius. Bad. The journalist then quickly moved his head down; maybe if he looked away, then Call Me Maybe would stop blasting through his head. He hated that song. The thought of hating Call Me Maybe knocked out all of the fluffy thoughts; Julius cleared his throat again, leaning on the chair. "Great....the particular specimen looks good in this sort of lighting so I thought it would make for a good photo," he lied through his teeth, ruffling Lucy's hair (though he was careful not to knock the flower out of it). That's right, he couldn't reveal his feelings. No matter what.

"Hey, speaking of photos, maybe we could litter the building with them. It'll create a nice aesthetic. This looks like a good place for a modern Japanese theme. What do you think?" He was obviously talking about the interior design; being an addict of those kinds of things, he had a habit of talking about it. Suddenly his future of living in the Facility didn't seem so bad, seeing as he had Lucy. Maybe they would rendezvous early in the morning, take photos, come up with news articles for the building....Julius tried to imagine what they'd look like, swiftly taking his notepad out of his pocket.

Flowers growing fairly well for autumn, major debate between two conflicting sides of local journalist's brain regarding whether or not the town council found out a way to make flowers grow year-round.

Sarcastic comment made about prisoner's short shorts, massacre of macaroni occurs.

Food fight breaks out in the kitchen district; authority figure who thinks too highly of him/herself forced to get everyone to shut the fuck up.

  Facility explodes.

Something like that, Julius thought, nodding vigorously as he looked over the title ideas. Who was he kidding? Writing articles wasn't going to be half as fun as it used to be, but he'd still do it. After all, he had to think like Lucy; on the bright side.

At least they weren't dead. And at least only he knew what their alternate fates would have been had the council not voted against it. The disadvantage of being a journalist.

Lucy's smile faltered a bit as Julius instantly seemed to change tunes, and she glanced away as well. Her hand dropped away from the flower now, as she tried not to sigh. Of course, he just thought it would be good for a photo. What was I thinking? He's my best friend... He wouldn't think like I was thinking he had-- She thought, hardly hearing what he began to say about aesthetics. However, she quickly shook those less-than-positive thoughts away, and, instead, began to distract herself as she carefully pulled the gorgeous blossom out of her hair, in order to get a better look at it.

She held it lightly between two fingers as she began to tilt her head at different angles, carefully turning it as she let her photographer's mind to take over. Such a gorgeous flower it was, with a beautiful, rich color to it... And it was obviously freshly picked, with how moist the petals still were and how well it reflected the light. It practically glowed when she held it just right... Lucy's smile returned instantly at the thought, as she finally found the best angle.

"Oooh, that's perfect..." She muttered to herself, her eyes practically sparkling as the vison of what she deemed to be the perfect shot of the flower bloomed in her mind's eye. She then carefully grabbed the camera with her other hand, to avoid shifting the flower too much, before she turned back towards Julius and practically shoved the flower into his hands, as she wouldn't be able to take a good photo if she held the blossom. After that, she began adjusting how his fingers were placed on the stem to recreate how she had been holding it moments ago, sticking her tongue out a bit as she worked. "Julius, hold it just like that, please! And don't move 'till I'm done--" Lucy requested energetically, gently adjusting his hand's position in the sun until she was satisfied with how the light hit it. She tilted her head to the side a bit, before she beamed. "Oooooh, there it is... Perfect!" She exclaimed, backing up (and nearly falling off the bench in the process, but she caught herself) to get a better look at the set-up. She clapped her hands as she deemed it perfect once again, that bright smile still on her face as she then grabbed her camera once again.

Honestly, she hadn't even heard his question about hanging photos in the facility, as she was completely swept away with getting a good photo of the flower before he had reached that part of his sentence.

While standing on a high branch with both arms outstretched before his own body, as if he was preparing to hug the warmth from the sun Ryder grinned and stared off towards the sky, since he loved the beautiful autumn weather and taking the time in his day to experience it. Experience each sweet scent of pine and morning dew, the breath taking view of the landscape before him and the complementary breeze that gracefully dances with his dark purple hair in the air. This season brought back many memories of Ryder's childhood and it made him smile everytime he gained a new thought. "Today is such a special day." He says to himself before returning to silence to take in nature. After a few seconds Ryder felt his left leg tense up after standing for almost fifteen minutes and decided to sit down on the tree limb and fixed himself so that he would lean his shoulder and head on the trunk of the tree, like a child resting their tired head on their mother's bosom, comforting one another. This analogy streaked across Ryder's head and granted him a clarity that clearly defined his mother. A sight too see, and a loving person who helped shape him into the young man he is today. He adjusted his body once for a suitable position then, once satisfied, he let his mind drift off in his thoughts.  "I wonder when I can leave this place. I think I've grown tired of being the only one around here." He said, slightly irritated, but with his previous innocent grin on his face.

"They tossed me in here then left me without company...not even a visitor or at least a phone call?" He pushed his lips upward to make a slight pouty face and began to rock back and forth on the branch. "Ooh I haven't explored the rest of this paradise yet!" He said, excited. "Maybe I can find a wild creature while touring." He looked down at the ground which was eight feet away from him and took the risk by bravely leaping down the height. However Ryder's decision left him stumbling and tripping over his feet once he landed. "Ah!-Lost my balance for a sec." He chuckled. Afterwards he straightened his checkerboard bandana and quickly pressed forward to venture the 'land of the unknown' for anything interesting. But once he left his tree he spotted, in the distance, a glistening pond rippling with grace and delicateness and at one end of the pond was a young blue haired child. The youth didn't look to be so pleased, but Ryder couldn't help but overwhelm himself with joy that he found another. He could feel his heart beat with elation and noticeably jumped like an eager kid three times and loudly called out to the youth before him.

"Hey! Hey, over here! Notice me!

Muttering to himself while typing Daniels concentration was suddenly broken by a loud shout. Huffing with annoyance he turned his head to look at the person who interiors him in his quest for getting some damn service. Expecting someone who was most likely younger than him through the childish shout Daniel was surprised to see a person not that much older than him was the one trying to get his attention. Adjusting his glasses Daniel shut his laptop once more before giving the person his full attention because while he was annoyed he at least wasn't rude.

"Did you need something? I'm kinda busy right now." His tone was bored and laced with the slightest bit of annoyance, though not enough to scare the person off. They could have something important to say.

There was a pause as suddenly Lucy pulled the flower out of her hair, turning it in different angles, and Julius knew that she was likely considering how it would look in a photo. Then, after a moment, she had placed it in his hand, adjusting it to the way that she liked it. Julius knew it was just Lucy being Lucy, but for some reason, this gesture caused his face to instantly go red as a stoplight. Her hands were so small and gentle...

The purple-haired gentleman listened to what she had said; nodding, he did just that, managing to stay still. His eyes were still wide and his face still red, though. He supposed they could call that photo "idiot in love". It suited how he felt; like a dopey idiot with a crush larger than the giganto Crush soda bottle that he had knocked out of some kid's hands the other day.

Speaking of which, he'd have to keep a close watch on everything that everyone ate. If it contained sugar, he would do his best to save them from him and karate-chop the sugary foods out of their hands. Unfortunately, Julius already had a bad rep for that, especially when he found out he could turn sugar into arsenic. As one may guess, a lot of restraining orders were placed after a while. Good old restraining orders...

Kypher Hawthorne

6b1cd2b87b8584d6e1f44bb01f0fcf3b.jpg

As the two lovebirds unknowingly teased each other in various ways, Kypher couldn't help but smirk at their childish innocence. They clearly liked each other, it was a wonder how they had actually not gotten together yet, it actually looked difficult to have not done so already. Like Kypher would have struggled to say nothing were he in this kind of situation but hey, it wasn't his call. If that purple haired dude didn't have the balls to ask her out, that wasn't anyone of Kypher's business. He reached over to grab the ice tea that was sitting on the circular wooden table next to him as he sat in the shade of the umbrella above, sipping the cool and refreshing drink. It tasted exactly as he expected it to taste like: cold tea, but a nice kind, not the kind where you hadn't just left it out for too long and it was just an unpleasant lukewarm. This variant had actual ice and made it seem more like a caffeinated slushie than the cold byproduct of a bag of herbs. Kypher also had his hoodie and headphones on, although only one earbud was in so he could hear the conversation ahead. One would probably ask why he wasn't feeling hot in it, but he didn't only respond saying he was used to it given he had lived most of husband life in the sun. He'd even gotten a suntan after all. Setting the drink down again he then took out the candy bar he'd been saving, slowly opening the wrapper and taking a bite. A more genuine smile of delight now came to him as the chocolate hit his tastebuds. Now that was more like it. No one had noticed him yet, but Kypher had arrived before everyone else and had been left confused as to what he should be doing upon arrival, so he had settled for finding a corner to settle in and simply watch what the others is when they arrived and he was sure there were others. This CLN business was too feared and too secret for it to be affecting just him, there had to be others like him. At least that way he wasn't completely alone like he usually was. His gaze settled on the two that were standing not that far away from him again, content to simply watch and observe rather than get involved. If they noticed him and wanted to talk, they'd come. He wasn't one to interrupt.

It didn't surprise Adora at all when Leon sighed and frowned at the sight of her. Seeing her friends made her feel as if her problem, which was being locked up in a rehabilitation facility or something, suddenly evaporated into the air only to never be discovered again. When Leon teased her about stalking him, the bright-haired girl merely giggled, "Me? Stalking you? Perhaps!" she clasped her hands before grinning from ear to ear. She let out a chuckle when he said something about an insane asylum, "Oh Leo, still a joker it seems." she gave his nose a light tap.

Leon or Leo (as she calls him), isn't quite the showy and talkative type although Adora doesn't really mind that. Whenever she pops out beside him, he wouldn't look too happy about her presence sometimes just like now, but he could be very playful and such a tease during very rare times. Oh well, Adora prefers both! Plus not to mention she's kinda used to cracking quiet people's walls until she made a hole she can fit through to become their friend.

If she was still too caught up inside her mind, she could've missed Leon's next question. Just when she was about to forget about it, Leon had to bring up the topic. Her happy and bright expression suddenly shifted into that of a lost and abandoned puppy in the middle of a heavy pouring rain. "W-well..I guess I am..kinda..." her voice cracked as she answered but something took her by surprise.

The guy before her stood up and tackled Adora, she closed her eyes and let out a small yelp of surprise and when she opened it, she found herself safely tucked in his arms. It took her a moment to register what happened and to meet his serious stare. Instead of getting intimidated, Adora let out a laugh, "I'm gonna do this, general." she flashed him a playful smile before she wrapped her own arms on his back and hugged him back. She giggled yet again after a couple of seconds, "You know, you look like a lion when you get all serious and stuff, that's actually why I call you Leo." she revealed with a playful pat on the back.

Lucy was beaming as she quickly set her camera's timer to take a picture in five seconds, just enough for her to make last-minute adjustments to her position. As she looked through the lens, the twenty-one-year-old quickly decided that an even wider shot would be better and backed up.

Unfortunately for the silver-haired photography, though, she had already been perched on the very edge of the bench, to the point where she had almost fallen off moments before when she had first moved. Not that she realized it until there suddenly wasn't a bench under her and she was falling backwards. Her eyes widened as she yelped, her arms instantly floundering around in an attempt to regain her balance again.

And then she fell into a bush, and there was suddenly the flash of her camera as its timer ran out, just before the leaves completely covered its lens... The perfect snapshot of the vivid red blossoms flower, taken from a sort of bottom-up angle. Half of the flower looked completely black, aside from the tips and edges of the petals, as it blocked out part of the sun... The other half of it almost seemed to glow, the moist petals reflecting the light ever-so-slightly while a few rich green leaves were just barely covering the corner of the shot. It was unique shot, at least... As they would find out once they looked at.

Meanwhile, Lucy instantly popped out of the bush, rubbing her head as she picked stray leaves from her long, silvery hair. She groaned a bit. "Okay, that kinda hurt..." She muttered, merely sitting on the ground for a minute. Then, a thought suddenly crossed her mind... Her camera had gone off while she was falling, which meant her shot was most likely ruined. And after she worked so hard to get it just right... She frowned, quickly getting to her feet as her eyes widened a bit. "Waitwaitwait! Don’t tell my shot got messed up-- It was perfect!”

And then, as soon Lucy she was up, her foot caught the very bush she had just fallen into, and she once again found herself teetering in place, her arms flailing as she tried to catch herself. She couldn't, and she fell flat on her butt while her camera smacked against her chest. Ouch.

Leon rolled his eyes, and sat up," yeah I'm just the resident clown aren't I?" He said stretching some, not sure how he was going to last in here. Although he probably had a better chance than anyone. The lovers seemed unlikely to make it through a plane flight without accidentally walking off the plane mid flight. He hadn't paid much attention to others, so he had no idea how they'd fair. But he doubted it would be much better. After war not much could faze you. You more or less become desensitized to things. Well, minus the little things that set him off.

"Hmph, you know I dislike nicknames. But it could be worse, my nickname in the war was Gasp. I had another nickname, but I forget what it was. It was rarely used." Leon was about to start talking a bit about his past in the war. When there was a sudden flash of light. His pupils dialated, and he suddenly tensed up as images of the war flashed through his mind. In that moment he was suddenly back on the battle field. His breath was heavy, and gun shots were going off all around him. He leapt to his feet, and ran towards the source of the flash. He grabbed Lucy by the collar, and took a knife out of his sock. He pushed her against the wall, placing the knife against her throat. His eyes that of a mad man's."WHO SENT YOU!? WHAT ARE YOU HERE FOR!? YOU SOME KIND OF SPY?" He screamed clearly stuck in some kind of delusional war. His voice could clearly be heard throughout the facility.

Ryder stood poised with a wide grin on his face and felt jitters up his spine as the boy spoke to him. Though Ryder could clearly tell that the boy's tone held a sense of dissatisfaction, he at least knew it was genuine and mannerly for him to at least speak back and just by passed it with his joy overwhelming his senses. He began to swiftly step in the direction of the young boy and while doing so he replied back, still carrying the irritating melody in his voice as before. "I thought I was alone in this world! It's good to know after all I'm not the last one standing!" He joked while closing the distance between them both. Ryder looked down at the boy, who looked no older than himself, but age meant nothing to Ryder. He continued to wear his innocent smirk and decided an introduction was in order.
He held out his right-hand to offer a friendly handshake and placed his left hand on his waist. "My name is Ryder, nice to meet you 'significant other'." He said.

Julius stayed still the entire time Lucy stepped back, holding the flower in the exact position she'd told him to; however, once she fell over, he panicked, and right after the shutter went off, he was by her side; then, staring at the photo, he nodded. It looked gorgeous. Flawless. He nodded, then slowly helped her up, tugging random leaves and twigs out of her hair. She looked like a forest spirit with the twigs and leaves in there, though; a small, pretty silver-haired girl with lovely blue eyes. He almost missed the scary-looking guy lunging at his best friend and grabbing her by the collar.

And slamming her against the wall, placing a knife against her throat. The purple-haired man's eyes went wide; panicked, he mouthed at Lucy not to move, then stood behind the man, grabbing a notebook from his bag and whacking the attacker across the head.

"Lucy isn't a spy, you dimwit," he said coolly, a glint in his eyes. "Keep threatening her like that and there will be a newspaper article about it before dawn and you and I know damn well that you will be arrested. Now put down the knife or I will write it and I will ruin. Your. Life." Something about Julius's tone shifted to an absolutely threatening one. If there was one thing to know about Julius, it was that he was overprotective of Lucy. Being a journalist gave him an advantage of enforcing her safety through nasty articles about those who had wronged her, keeping the community aware of real people that had hurt her. That was why he was called "Bad Cop"; he wrote articles that were very blunt and to the point, and even borderline terrifying. Let's just say that reason his work often made one feel as though a spy was relaying this information, and it worked perfectly.

It had kept him alive in the business. And he would gladly use that power to save his loved one.

A look of surprise was on Daniels face as the person (not person, Ryder, he reminded himself) wrapped their hand around his waist. A large blush spread across his face and he froze in what appeared to be shock as millions of thoughts swirled through his brain at once as he tried to recollect himself.

"I-im not." He stammered. "I-i-i don't uh - I'm not really someone that..." The blush began to get redder as he all but yelled out "IM ASEXUAL PLEASE DONT TRY ANYTHING."

Ryder had jumped back a bit brought his hands back and swiftly placed them into his pants pockets. The boy's seemingly frightened shout startled Ryder and he raised an eyebrow and tilted his head to the side at the nervous, blue haired boy. Ryder had a slight tint of red on his cheeks as well and was quite lost and feeling a bit embarrassed about his lack of consideration of other's personal space. Which was something he should write down and think about before acting in the future. The boy seemed really unset about Ryder's actions, and Ryder didn't want to keep the tensity and awkwardness in the atmosphere. So he straightened up and chuckled lightly, before placing his one of his hands on the back of his own neck. "Don't worry, hehe, I wasn't going to try anything." He said, while taking a piece of his purple strands and twirling it around his finger slowly.

"I just wanted to know your name, that's all." He gave him a kind smile.

The moment was perfect, two friends who coincidentally met each other once again, wrapped in each other's arms while they (or atleast one of them is) reminiscing about their past and teasing each other (at least one of them is) about cute nicknames. Yet something unfortunate happened, there was a sudden flash and she saw how Leon's face shifted as his eyes started dilating. The lad sprang up from their position and broke away from her grip, it all happened so fast that the moment she blinked, Leon was already lounging at the girl with Julius and took out a knife from his sock.

She let out an audible gasp before rushing towards her friends and the poor girl. What could have happened to Leo? To make the matters worse, her friend started screaming about the girl being a spy, as if there was an imaginary war going on around the that only the dark-haired man could see.

"Leo! What happened?" Adora's voice cracked, her tone full of concern and confusion. She clasped both hands together as her attention were now shifted to her other friend, Julius, who was threatening Leon back after he gave him a whack on the head. The journalist was using a quite scary tone, "Julius, please calm down. This- this must be just some sort of mistake..!" she tried to reason out. Oh well, so much for the I-will-surprise-my-friend-later plan. Well on the bright side, this is still some sort of a surprise so..

"Leo, put the knife down please..." she whispered with moist green eyes, with sincerity towards the said man, her small hands wrapping itself on his larger one which was gripping the knife against the poor photographer.

A sigh escaped his lips as he set the half eaten chocolate bar down and stood up, groaning. It hadn't taken long to reveal who was a crazy and who was a wimp in this place and it seemed that there were a lot of them. That Julius guy was both, honestly, he's threatening the ptsd dude with writing? Seriously? Shaking his head, Kypher stretched his neck for a moment. He had a good bit of muscle on him from his boxing training, something that he had kept up throughout his life despite all the crisises that had happened, so he could definitely go toe to toe with this army guy, but the problem was the knife and its close proximity to the girl's throat. One false move and she would be get a new mouth in the wrong place. Taking one last sip of the ice tea and putting it back on his table, Kypher took off at a sprint towards the group. As soon as he got close a jumped forward and tackled Leon, shoulder first with his full body weight slamming into the crazed guy, so that they both went tumbling into the bushes to the side rather roughly. With any luck, the shock of the impact meant that Leon had let go of the girl as well. Sitting up, Kypher then dived at Leon again and grabbed his wrist, attempting to wrestle the knife off of him before he tried anything again, grunting every so often at the exertion of the struggle. This dude clearly liked to work out as much as he had done when he first arrived.

"My little dove, please get up! We've got to get you into the facility before sundown and it's getting later by the minute," the girl groaned as she rolled over in her bed, well, trying to before realising she was tied, cuffed, chained, anything to keep her in place and gasped. She hated being tied down, it was not a good look on her. "Damn, thanks nan, I appreciate it," she was untied in a couple of minutes and the two embraced, her cold skin warming to the familiar touch of her best friend. Morgan looked to the end of her bed, her helmet was there and everything she needed was already gone towards the facility after receiving that letter.

After half hour, Morgan had showered and changed and was heading out the door to her motor bike that waited securely on her nan's driveway, it was beautiful purples faded to black and silver lined ever so delicately for that extra touch. Her nan wanted to come along for one last spin and the old bird could even drive it so she wasn't too worried for when she had to leave it. "Alright then, let's go," the two mounted and within seconds were zooming up the practically empty roads.

"It's here," her nan whispered gently as she shuffled forward on the black leather seat and Morgan dismounted and turned to her, removing the helmet and giving it to her nan. "I'm sorry this has to happen...I didn't know, no matter what you..d-do I will always be here for you," she let out a soft tear and Morgan stared at her, no tear to shed in fear of breaking down like a wreck.

"I love you nan, look after yourself ok? Don't strain yourself too much," she hugged her and turned to appreciate the last view of the outside world.

"Bloody hell," she lifted her right leg on the last step as she placed both hands on her thighs with an exasperated sigh as she neared the entrance. Morgan heaved a bit before swaying into the compound, her eyes scanning the area with a glint of delight. "Exquisite," she murmured under her breathe before confidently walking in and looking at the people around her. "Tsh, they are all kids, how quaint,"  her voice was low and carried a sense of importance in her tone, one that others would seemingly call posh. Morgan strode straight forward an intimidating cloud around her as she stared down the others, almost as though she was studying them.

"Hmmm, now then, what's a girl got to do to get a tour around here?" she twirled her deep hair around her manicured index finger and her gaze fluttered lightly as she paused and looked at two boys, one had tried to make a move and the other screamed asexual. "Interesting," she then lulled her head to watch a group of people, one of which had gone at a girl with a camera with a knife to her throat, then another seemingly was trying to save the day.

"I haven't got time for games," she moaned with a small chuckle before wandering straight pass the group, staring the hell out of each person individually with no care on her face. She was indeed going to be a tough cookie to crack. The dove sat down far away from the group and bathed in the sun as she crossed her legs and relaxed her eyes but so they were still open.
