G E N E R A L
Full Name: Florian Ethers
Official Title: The White Hare
Nickname: Ian (used only by those close to him)
Age: 23

"A night without responsibilities is a night forever cherished." - Florian
a883fce03dc06e43abc5862d9d1f0632.jpg

H I S T O R Y
Florian was born in Faun, a young boy with unusual snow white hair and odd powers. A child without a father nor a mother, he was placed into his grandmother's care until the age of 5. At this age, Florian had shown unnatural gifts, not those of a Bearer, however. He sought the apprenticeship of the Oracle, who gladly took him in. Thus began a rigorous training, as his found power was balance of all four elements. He became a prodigy, mastering earth/fire/water/air under the Oracle's aid. He had completed full training at the age of 20.

However, at that time, Florian's grandfather passed, leaving him emotionally shattered. It rendered him unable to fight against the siege that was planned. The Sanctuary was raided, and lives of many Balancers were lost until they eventually prevailed. After the battle, he helped his fellow magic users to rebuild Sanctuary, placing the powerful binds warding against evil intent over the world of Faun. Now regarded as a higher power within the world, Florian sees to keeping the balance of Faun with the other members of Sanctuary. He has been a Protector since and is known as one of the most powerful magicians in Vestari. Recently, he has been tasked to guide the Bearers to the New World.
P E R SO N A L I T Y
Florian is a quite vibrant fellow, with a strong outlook on life. He lives in the moment, often sneaking out from his post whenever he can to travel in the more scandalous parts of Faun. The man's confidence is exuding, allowing him to charm or flirt openly, swaying the minds of others with his words.

Florian loves dance, and uses it during festivals to seduce unaware individuals. (He has no preference of gender.) The boy can be harsh at times when not giving off his playboy vibes, especially when he is frustrated. Florian is accustomed to getting what he wants, and often times does not like to use force. He has a rather placid temperament and speaks rather lazily to others around him.

~Aster~

Full Name:
Marcellus I. Warren

Official Title:
WIP

Nickname:
Marcel
Age:
22

Gender:
Male

Magic Type:

Marcel has the gift of Light Magic; a favorite of the Fae. Additionally, he is able to use Dark Magic.

354727a180aca4c8c426422981368149.jpg|A Young Marcel|
History:

Once, a boy was born in the quiet village of Vilvalade. His parents were young and irresponsible, and because having children out of wedlock was frowned upon in this quaint little town, they abandoned him in a nearby forest. Such a fate was dooming to the young babe.

Yet Aster has always been known for its magical little miracles.

A band of Fae were travelling through the forest and, pitying the poor child, took him in. With them the boy now named Illius grew up, learning the language and magic of the creatures that surrounded him. Oft you would find little Ilius sketching the beasts that roamed the forest, much to the amusement of his foster family.

He grew fairly adept at magic as a boy, and his power only increased as he ascended into manhood.

Soon, however, Illius grew curious of the world outside; the world of humans. He would sit for hours at the edge of the forest, watching, wondering who his parents were.

Wondering why they left him.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eventually, Illius was exiled from the forest. Why this occurred is lost to the records of Vilvalade, though historians have noted that only serious crimes against the Fae warranted such dire consequences.

The boy, now a man, was devastated. He had lost his home. His family.

His everything.

At one point or another, he forsook his old name for a new one: Marcellus. He wandered aimlessly for a time, until he received a letter from an Oracle; it held word of impending doom, destiny, and purpose anew for the young man. Marcellus set out eagerly to meet this soothsayer, leaving behind the forest he once called home.

It is said, however, that despite the passage of time, one can still hear whispers of Illius from the forest he left behind.

Personality:
Marcellus is a bright young man with a curious spirit and an avid sense of adventure. He loves meeting new people, yet due to his lack of knowledge on courtesy and human customs, he often makes quirky and weird mistakes in social situations.

His knowledge of the English language is fragmented, and many times he'll unintentionally throw in a Fae word or two. He's also very gullible where the modern world is concerned, and will believe most anything he's told about technology, culture, and human customs.

Despite experience quite a fair share of trickery, however, Marcel remains kind. He has a strong sense of moral justice, and if someone is treated unfairly, he won't stand by to see them scorned.

Likes:

-Sweet Foods |Such as candy|

-People
-Magic
-Drawing

Dislikes

-Coffee, Coconuts, & Pineapples
-Snow
-Senseless Violence

Power Skills:
-Light Magic
-Dark Magic
-Chaos Magic: An extremely powerful yet volatile art of magic that offers strength at the cost of the user's well-being. This sub-variant of Dark Magic is so unpredictable that use of it is forbidden. Mastery has proven impossible for even the most disciplined of magicians.
-Quick Switch: While he can't quite duel cast yet, Marcel can quickly switch between what magic type he is using.

Skills:

-Analytical: Marcel sees what most don't.
-Bilingual: Marcel knows English, as well as Faespeak.
-Quick-Footed: Years of avoiding fights have made Marcel a proficient dodger.
-Thinker: Living with the Fae has given Marcel quite the imagination.

Foreign Relations |View Towards Other Worlds In No Particular Order|

Veyn: A wonderful place; though his gullibility has led him to be scammed many a time by the cunning seamen.
Newt: Not the nicest of communities, but the technology never ceases to amaze.
Aster: A bundle of fond yet bittersweet memories that can only be described in one word: home.
Faun: A tranquil, calm world that reminds him of his time in the forest.

Romulus Estar BaninWorld
Faun
Official Title
[WIP]
Nickname
Estar, in place of his longer first name
Age
21

History
Romulus was born to a poor family living out in the wilds of Faun along with two other siblings. At an early age he exhibited a fondness for the gardens his mother maintained, and would often play among the various herbs planted there. Unbeknownst to him, his presence in the gardens had a beneficial effect, causing the herbs to remain healthy, as well as grow at a faster rate. This did not go unnoticed by his parents, and at the age of five, Romulus was sent away to the Sanctuary.

Once there, Romulus began training under various tutors. He was taught history, math, science, as well as how to control his own passive ability to effect the growth of plants. It was at the age of ten that he finally learned his true purpose. He was to become a bearer, something he was simultaneously excited about as well as dreading. His appointment to the role of bearer was fairly private, with only the Oracle and elders of the Sanctuary in attendance. A ritual cleansing took place, meant to insure that spirits were not lingering on Romulus' soul, before a small pin prick was made on his finger. It's purpose was soon revealed as four small circles formed on his wrist, stark black against his own pale skin. A symbol of his status among the residents of Faun, as well as an identifier for bearers across the other worlds.

Continuing his training in the Sanctuary, Romulus found himself becoming disillusioned with his role as bearer as the years dragged on. Many a time he had to hold his tongue from biting the hand that fed it, the restrictions placed upon him were many, and he found himself looking forward to a time when he would be strong enough to do whatever he pleased. By the age of 18 Romulus was adept in healing and defensive magic, though he had become bored with his constant study of magic, he took up various hobbies along the way, including herbalism, something he was sure his mother would've been proud of.

Some time later, at the age of 19, Romulus' abilities were put to the test. The Sanctuary had been attacked, and using his magic, he defended and healed any who needed it, though many lives were still ultimately lost. The effect of those deaths on Romulus were profound. He left the sanctuary to live on his own deep in the wilds of Faun. He did not deny his duty however, using his time there to train and study magical literature on offensive magic. Two years passed, and though he was not adept in it like he was defense and healing, Romulus displayed skill in the binding of spirits and infliction of illness, among other abilities. His solitude was ultimately ended on a quiet day by the Oracle, requesting his return to civilization for an important task. Romulus agreed, remembering the duty of every bearer, he had no right to sacrifice less.

Personality
Fairly laid-back, in everyday life Romulus seems to be aloof and uncaring about the world around him. The truth, however, is that he feels an unbreakable obligation to better it. This obligation can sometimes override his better moral understanding, leading him to take actions he feels are necessary, though perhaps immoral, or even cruel. Enforcing this attitude is his predisposition towards trust, believing that if you are good he has no reason to be suspicious, though if you are evil he likely never will. His life in the sanctuary lead him to value freedom and free will, though he will sometimes take this to extremes.

Power Skills
- Plant manipulation (The ability to control the speed of plant growth and it's health. This can be both a passive and an active ability)
- Healing
- Defense (Can increase resistance to all physical pain such as fire or cuts, as well as increase the skin's resistance to actually taking damage for a limited time)
- Spirit Binding (He can more easily bind spirits of healing and defense, offensive or blatantly evil spirits take more energy out of him. He can only do this for a limited time.)
- Cast illness (One of his more offensive skills, with this ability he is able to inflict various diseases upon his target, whether it be mental or purely physical.)
- Directed Pain (With this ability, Romulus is able to focus his magic on any part of his target and cause pain. The ability does not actually inflict damage, it merely simulates the pain of it. Useful for incapacitating a target without killing or injuring.)
- Peace (Working as a sort of anesthetic, this ability allows Romulus to completely remove the feeling of pain from his target)
- Pocket (This ability allows Romulus to store various objects in a small, invisible pocket of magic.)

Skills
- Herbalism
- Hunting
- Tracking
- Packing a pipe

View Towards Worlds
Veyn: Besides his own world, Veyn is probably the favorite of Romulus'. The blend of magic and innovation has lead to a world he believes to be at the pinnacle of free will, offering it's citizens the chance to better themselves, and perhaps the people living along with them at the same time.
Aster: Though he is somewhat laid-back himself, Romulus views Aster as wild and care-free, regardless of their existing government. He dislikes their seeming emphasis on fun, believing a healthy balance between fun and duty must be found. He is not completely closed to them however, as he is fascinated by their forests and the creatures living there.
Newt: Ranked at the top of the list of worlds most unlikely to visit sits Newt. Romulus believes their advanced technology and mega-cities stifle the growth and evolution of the natural world underneath. The recent wars breaking out have insured he would have no favorable opinion of the world any time soon.

Likes
Free Will, the smell of the wild, a clear night sky, smoking a pipe, new experiences, silence
Dislikes
Loud noise, rudeness, heat, undeserved reward, laziness

As mages we spend our lives in pursuit of greater knowledge. That higher understanding is the legacy I choose to leave behind.
Sodales Besonna Runal

Requisite

Full Name: Sodales Besonna Runal

Official Title: Keeper of the Oath Made in a Distant Dream

Nickname: N/A

World: Veyn

Age: 21

Appearance:

Sodales stands at 5'11, with flawless alabaster hair that falls well bellow his waist. His eyes are a deep gold, and seem to give off a natural warmth that leads people to trust him implicitly. Leading the life of an academic, Sodales is not a very built person. His lean, broad shoulders seem to give off the impression of a silhouette rather than an actual person. He is muscular enough to wield a sword, but beyond that is difficult for him under normal circumstances. His skin is pale due to spending most of his time indoors.

He wears traditional Veyn clothing whose colors were chosen specifically to emphasis his alabaster hair. Always he wears the white cloak gifted to him by his mothers.

On his left and right middle finger are silver rings with delicate runes etched into them, when casting specific magic the runes seem to glow faintly.

Personality

The influences of Veyn culture shows itself in how Sodales carries himself. He is strong willed, with a great emphasis on personal loyalty and accountability. His role as a Bearer is taken very seriously, because of this he believes himself the protector of Veyn and the guide to its people. He is a kind person by nature, but detaches himself from that emotion when making decisions. Even if he must make a terrible choice, he will do so if he believes it will help the people of Veyn.

Usual of a native of Veyn, Sodales has a distinct air of professionalism about him. He has the tendency of exacerbating that professionalism because he strays away from casual socialization.

He never lost that little spark of curiosity children have. Even now he craves discovery and new knowledge more than the physical desires that control others. The desire for knowledge is his drug, his addiction, and his curse.

He is a creature of progress, and nothing else fulfills him like discovery. As such, he hates stagnation no matter how brief it is. In such cases his motivation only increases if there is something he can do to force things forward, and in the event of the opposite he loses interest rapidly until things start moving again.

View Towards Worlds:

Veyn:

Home. The world which rests on his shoulders, and whose protection is his responsibility.

Newt:

The world that lost its way. To see them tear at each other's throats and to see magic long forgotten, it brings nothing but sadness to his heart.

Aster:

A world of beauty and one the radiates magic. But, the endless carefree nature of the world unnerves him.

Faun:

A place of silence. Its forests are beautiful, but the silence of the world is deafening to him.

Magecraft

Runemancy: The power to inscribe runes that channel the magical essence that flows through everything. Runemancy is an incredibly adaptive magic with the capability of applying to most situations
- This is Sodales' greatest strength. Even when looked upon on the same level as Bearers past he is considered a prodigy. This art is ingrained deeply in Sodales' magecraft, with much of the power behind his other magics dependent on rune reinforcement.

[To Be Determined]

Elemental Channeling: The ability to bend the elements to the casters will. To tame them and then turn them against the world.
  • Weather Manipulation: Channeling the destructive force of nature to your advantage.
- Still in the fledgling stages, when the Oracle put out the summons Sodales had only just begun his training for this magic.

Psychokinesis- To exert the caster's will over everything. To will something to be so strongly the world bends to that desire.
-Inanimate objects bend easily, but with living creatures the caster's will has to be stronger than their own for it to work.

History

"This will be the beginning of my legacy. My Magnum Opus."

My life as it is now came from humble beginnings. I was born in Veyn, to a well-respected sailor and one of the royal muses. It is amazing how life works out, because had it not been for that one night of reckless passion I would not exist. It was... a strange union. One between two people who should never have met, but somehow did.

I never got to know my father. Not long after my second year of life he went to sea and never returned. A rogue storm was blamed, but the truth was never known. Without a father, but in his place was my mother and her fellow muses. So, I lost a father but gained eight mothers. I believe they did well in raising me. My biological mother especially. She tried so very hard for me, and much of who I am was so I could make her proud. In the end she was, I think. She lived long enough to see me become a Bearer. Never saw her happier than the day I earned the right to wear this necklace of ours. The symbol of our status.

There was never a clear beginning of when my talents showed themselves. From a young age I always had these symbols floating around in my head. Dozens of symbols that I never knew the importance of until I was old enough. I liked to draw them on the walls of my room, as a decoration of sorts. Little did I know that sometime after my ninth year one of those runes I used to draw, Tul, would activate and set our house ablaze. Never heard the end of it from my mothers. But that was when my status as a Bearer was revealed. Knowledge of runemancy without any kind of training made such a fact obvious.

After that the truth reached who it needed to rather quickly, and on the eve of my tenth birthday I bid my mothers goodbye as I was spirited away by the Inner Circle. By the mages responsible for training the Bearers, and passing judgment on convicted mages. All of my mothers were saddened, but as a parting gift they gave me my cloak. A memento to remember them during my training.

The first year was all philosophy and history. Taught everything from the morality of magic as a whole, to the tiniest rebellion in the history of the war-torn Newt. It was... enlightening. My teachers from the Circle were passionate to say the least. Whole lessons were spent in debate. It was quite the defining time in my impressionable youth.

The second year was spent learning the fundamentals behind magic. Spent learning what was known about the basic principles behind how magic works, and how we manipulate it. No practical application, much to my frustration. I wanted to learn, to harness, but all I was taught was theory. Looking back now, this was for the best. I was taught to respect what I could do. And the damage it could bring.

The third was spent exclusively learning directly from the monarch of Veyn- King Aras. Taught about the delicate balance between the leadership of all the worlds, the royal responsibility that Bearers hold, and especially the importance of maintaining that balance. Aras was an excellent teacher, but he was almost cruelly harsh in his dealings. Harsh, abrasive, but fair. This year was... bittersweet, and best forgotten.

The fourth year was spent on a secluded daughter-island off the coast of Veyn. The real beginning was here. It was there that I was taught magic, and to wield a blade. Days on end spent learning to control the magic I had inherited. Learning to channel it, and to use it. My teachers were harsh and merciless.

My fifth and sixth years were spent at sea, learning the root of Veynian prosperity, and the knowledge to command and lead a crew. It was a long two years full of uneventful weeks on end, and only a few glancing moments of interest. Most of my time during those two years was spent buried in tomes... My magic grew greatly.

Once we returned from our time at sea, my training was finally complete after half a decade. Upon my return a festival was held, as traditional for the crowning of a new Bearer. A fantastic time rarely held, and even more rare the royal muses put on a performance for all to see. My mother was already sick at the time, but she gave it her all to welcome my future alongside my other mothers. At the end of the festival was the first time I met the Oracle, who was the one to present me my symbol of office. An interesting meeting to say the very least.

After being officially crowned as Bearer my next half a decade, excluding a two-year sabbatical, was spent in research when not attending to my royal duties.

One such duty was to visit the other worlds, in order to experience the land and its culture. During these visits I did make an attempt to meet the other Bearers, but was unable to for one reason or another.

Some time after that the Oracle's summons reached my attention and my pilgrimage began.

  • Ali may seem like a sweet and innocent girl who wouldn't harm a soul...

Good. That's exactly what she wants you to think. All though her world is known for their bountiful parties and overall optimistic personalities. Ali seems to have a more realistic approach. Sure she has all the traits that any Asterian would have: Optimism, Joy, she tends to think more with her gut that anything else. And is willing to give back. Unfortunately, don't get to comfortable with her. She will bite your ear off if you so much as disrespect her in anyway. She is very much a natural born leader and has wanted to lead since she was a young girl. She is stubborn, and will continue to fight on a subject if she knows what her gut is telling her is right.

Elizabeth Hawthorne- Newt
J0z42Qx.jpg

Full Name:Elizabeth Hawthorne
Official Title: N/A
Nickname: Earth bound
Age: 21

History: Magic didn't disappear in newt, but rather it went underground. Those who still held onto their convictions congregated in secret. People of all walks of life still practice magic ranging from the laborer, carpenter, and baker. And going all the way up into the upper echelons of the actual world government. It is these folks who still carry on the duties of maintaining the balance in newt despite the overwhelming disregard for the practice of magic. In some way their disregard and lack of respect lead the art to being considered trivial, much in the way of a few insects congregating over some spilled scraps on the floor. The years leading up into Elizabeth's birth were different though. New heads of state started to cause problems within, sometimes actively weeding out those who didn't align with the popular beliefs. This included those who practiced magic. Suddenly what was once something someone laughed at you for, now became a akin to a crime. Believers became social pariahs, they were the first of many to undergo persecution, which would lead to modern day events in newt. These uprisings weren't new, but rather they became more prevalent as other groups started to follow suit and experience the same persecution before being driven out of society.

Elizabeth grew up in this tumultuous world, being in some ways afraid of herself for the first few years after officially becoming the magic vessel. Early on in her childhood she had discovered her love for magic as her parents taught her how to channel her inner power. It was difficult for them as they were not actual vessels themselves. Their lessons like many before them, were derived from books and that of the normal users of magics. They personally could not fully fathom her level of power, nor could they ever really understand her burden during training as a youngster. While other children during their secret meetings were more proficient, she lagged behind and often caused her magic to lash back at her for her lack of control. What initially kept her going was a fascination with magic and wanting to learn how to control it, but being as young as she was during her early days training in secret, she often was bogged down by doubt and frustration. Her Father, Phillip Hawthorne, was the strict one, her pep talker and more akin to a commander than a parent. Her mother,Deborah Hawthorne ,was more akin to her pillar and the one who soothed her daughter when she was in pain. Together they supported and taught their child until armed conflict started to take place.

Lead by others from within the government, they reluctantly left their daughter behind to fight within the growing resistance. It was soul crushing and debilitating for the young Elizabeth early on. She'd bounce from one caregiver to another. Some of believers stayed behind, being unnoticed in the general population up until that point. So they were often the ones who took care of the children while the parents and their elders fought the government. Unfortunately for Elizabeth her problems which she had with her parents only grew worse as her care givers weren't as understanding. She'd often be handed off to someone else for being too much of a risk or being inept. The instability changed her and hardened her heart. Soon the innocent youngster was actually replaced by a girl of singular focus. She didn't become embittered, but rather she became detached from others. Her performance during training improved, but it was the result of dedication and training. So much so that often times she would not bathe for days and other collapsed from dehydration or sickness. When confronted during these times, she would have a slightly confused expression and what others said to her often went in one ear and out the other. The world became insignificant to her and the pursuit of magic became the sole focus of much of her adolescence.
As she grew older toward adulthood and the world itself seemed to be revving up for full on conflict, her outlook on life became grimmer. She lived for herself and no one else. Her people's problems didn't concern her unless there was an excuse to grow as a practitioner of magic. Living almost completely within her head, going through formulas and new ones for the future experiments, Elizabeth only stayed connected with the world around her just enough to actually live.
Personality: Elizabeth doesn't measure up well on either the good or bad side of the scales. She's capable of committing the worst atrocities with little to no regard for human life, but at the same time she doesn't go out of her way to be evil. Any act which can be considered good is merely based on what side she is, because her act almost certainly benefits her. Any act that can be considered evil is merely an extension of the pursuit of knowledge concerning magic. Anyone who would get in between her and new discoveries is essentially as good as cannon fodder.

Although she's inwardly focused for the most part, it doesn't mean she's an introvert. Elizabeth is capable of being an orator who can rally the people to her side if it would benefit her. She's able to discern social situations and play the part necessary. That of a concerned friend or of a wallflower who nobody notices, if it means she can continue to pursue her interests in this world. That being said, she has a tendency to be a little exaggerated in how she portrays herself. Sometimes even getting caught up in her own act to the point where she loses herself.

However with all that being said, all these facets of her personality are to hide her inner anguish. Her confidence is merely a mask her vast insecurities. Her smile is to smoother her crippling loneliness. While she remember the warmth of her parents, there's a greater need for inner control. At the end of the day her problems go beyond the mean things her people say to her for being the magic vessel. It's all about control and being self sufficient. Allowing a person to hold sway over her heart is the same thing as handing over the key to your home.

Power Skills:
1. Light bending: Elizabeth is able to bend the light around her in order to blend in with her surroundings. The limit on this is anything she's touching within a 2 meter radius. Meaning she can hide her companions and everything around them, but she can't extend this range to something such as a ship due to the strain on her body.

2. Earth manipulation: As the name suggests, inorganic material originating from the earth such as dirt, boulders, and ores can be manipulated to a certain degree. The limiting factor here is her control of said materials is stronger the closer it is to her. She can't stand a mile away from a city and wreck it via earthquake. Power also only works with some form of contact with said material. Without the physical connection, she can't manipulate anything.

3.Earthen guardian: One servant made of inanimate material. Max size is 20 feet tall and 20 feet long.

Skills:
Arcane knowledge
Photographic memory

Con artist
Persuasion
