What was once a baseball field became the grounds to a new event. An event that would take 12 hours to setup then draw the attention of thousands in the area. The tents and lights were an alluring sight as the tents were draped with a velvety blue fabric and decorated with star-shaped lights. Anyone from afar would know it was the Magic Ball Circus. The performances are spectacular, but the circus was most known for their tellers and their accurate fortunes. Upon entering the site, a large crystal ball can be seen. It was as large as a three story house and had circular rings hanging from the top portion of the sphere and a ladder making a bridge from one side the glass ball to the other. Lights, lights, lights were everywhere. Looking at the ceiling was almost like looking at the night sky. The Crystal Ball Circus was the sight to see.

Dancers, clowns, and animal tamers will perform the day after the set-up. Teasing everyone's ears of the music they will soon hear accompanied by the enchanting performances they will soon see. Let's not forget the mention of the fortunes hordes will wait in line to hear...

The Clown Crew

Muse A is a gypsy, and traveling through the countries to perform. In the next town lives a rich Muse B, and they decide to have a bit of fun while they are in town, so Muse A makes them try out some of the more wild life that Muse B surely has never done before. Roaming the forest, stealing and jumping across roofs. The problem is that Muse A's people is not staying forever.

?︎ Appearance: She has smooth, loose, red curls about her head. Her hair is of a medium length; the bangs are slightly longer in the front than the rest of her hair. Her irises appear silver when exposed to light, but in darkness they are an icy blue. Complimenting her light eyes, are her dark, long lashes; giving her quite the doll-face.

The young woman has freckled scattered on the bridge of her nose and across her cheeks. If her hair was pulled back, you'll see her freckles lightly trailing down the sides of her neck leading to an abundance of the specs on her back and shoulders. The rain of freckles on her skin seem to trickle in quantities the farther they are from her shoulders; they're nearly no freckles present on the lower half of her body. Just a few treading across her ample sized chest, down her arms, and slightly past her mid-back. She has small hips accompanied a plump bum with a unique birthmark, smaller than a centimeter and in the shape of an eye. Mellina has natural lush lips, pink, full and beautiful. It pairs lovingly with her cream colored skinned hinted with a dash of honey.

As lovely as her skin was, she used it as a canvas and had permanent ink drawn into her skin. Many of these drawings portraying her obsession with love, her admiration of the female body, childhood memories, and visions she has had that doesn't want to forget.

?︎ Personality: Being a psychic, it is really hard not to be an extrovert. Having to confront people because of her visions, wouldn't have been easy if she was the timid-type. That being said, she was a risk-taker. Whether the person takes her advice or not, was entirely up to the soul, but telling them, at least, gave her peace of mind.

Mellina is very sensitive, but in a unusual sense. Before even glancing one's face, she can determine the feelings they're holding. This inadvertently, shifts her mood hence her sensitivity to others. As an outlet, she works on art projects. Her artistic nature, primarily, derives/inspires from her lucid dreams or visions.

Overall, Mellina is fearless, outgoing, open-minded, sensitive and artistic.

?︎ Occupation: A fortune teller at the Crystal Ball Circus. She also sells tickets at the entrance of the circus tent.

?︎ Biography: Was she born with her powers? Hah. Fortunately, no. She wasn't, but she has had her powers since a very young age of 11. All her life, she was a normal little girl who loved dresses and had an obsession with horses, unicorns, and peagasus. She had friends and went to a public school, but that all changed at the age of 11.

The eleven year old Mellina Gibson was a very outgoing, young girl. It did not cross her mind that if she couldn't see who she was talking to, she probably shouldn't have spoken to them. Of course, that was a long time ago and the past is the past.

"Do you like animals?" she heard someone ask. "Yeah!" Mell exclaimed to the unknown voice. "Do you like magic?" the little girl's silver eyes danced around looking for the speaker, but they were nowhere to be found. "I do! I do!" she answered enthusiastically. "Do you think it's real?" she wondered when the voice was going to reveal itself, her eagerness was ever-so present. "Mhm," she reponded again, her patience ticking. "Would you believe that I am a magical creature created just for you?" Mellina's little hands covered her mouth in a surprised manner. "Are you a unicorn?" she whispered; her eyes now shifting around, up and down for her unicorn. "No," the voice replied. "Are you a pegasus?" she whispered with her hands openly slightly to speak again. "Close..." suddenly above her head, something flew to her. Mell gasped at the sight of it and opened her palms upwardly for the creature to land on it.

"I am a gift that will soon give you abilities. Will you accept me?"

"Yes! Yes! I will! I'll take very good care of you!"

With that last line, her fate was sealed.

?︎ Sexuality: Mellina prefers dominant partners that can make her feel safe. Generally, men fill this role far more easily than woman do. Physically, she finds women much more beautiful than men. Their variation in sizes and shapes appeal to her, but alas she values the sense of security over superficiality. In addition, she seeks a person open-minded and accepting of her powers.

?︎ Powers:
Telepathy- While this normally implies she can read minds, this is not the case for Mellina. She can merely gage a person's emotions by simply being in there presence. Basically, you can 'fake' happiness or any emotion around her. She'll see right through your facade.

Claivoyance- Mellina has the power to see things that aren’t available ordinarily. With her visions, she can receive hints regarding a future event or even a hidden past.
Name: Jonah Rosenhold

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Straight

Status: Heir to the Rosenhold Mansion(noble)

Height: 5*9

Eyes: Dark brown, borderline black

Hair: Medium length and light brown

Markings: No scars or tattoos

Clothes: He wears the formal attire of his house. shirt

First Impression: He naturally stands out in the way he dress, but also with his straight back and observant gaze.

Personality: Jonah has always been a little hard to control, for his parents who tried to raise a proper gentleman. Yet, being the heir of Rosenhold he has gotten away with his ways, and it has made him a bit spoiled to consequences. He is confident and loves taking risks, going for the things that he really wants.

He is often craving the more exciting things in life, although its very limited what you can explore in their little town on the outskirts of the kingdom. One of the sides that are a little different is that he has a love for art and beauty. He is 'unique' and is why he takes notice of Mellina the beauty from the circus.

Background: Jonah is born as a nobleman, and lived in a big mansion all his life. As a kid he got best friend with a butcher's boy though, and the two started running out in the woods and coming home late. When they were young their parents didn't think much of it, but it seemed the two never quite grew up properly. They go riding, exploring and partying more than they probably should.

His parents are at the moment in the process of trying to convince him to marry, but he has little interest in the girls he is presented with. They are all dull to him, and his parents were for a long time frightened that he was into men, since he spend so much time with his male friends.

That is definitely not the case though, since he falls quickly the first time he attend the local circus.

“Your parents arranged this party for days,” Marco scolded under his breath, but still jumped the fence, like Jonah had known he would. Marco always tagged along in the end, even if he complained.

Please, they will likely have another next week,” Jonah smirked, and held out his hands toward his mansion, where you could hear the chatter of people and clinking of wineglasses. “…but when will we have the chance to see a circus? Next year? Maybe.”

“The circus is for kids, Jonah,” Marco mumbled, and the two started making their way down the street. It was not very hard to spot, with a giant crystal ball in the middle of the darkened town.

“It’s not! I hear they can tell you your future,” Jonah retorted, as they started making their way down the streets.

"Aaah," Marco drawled skeptically, but didn't lessen the glimmer in his friend eye, because he knew how Jonah got when something new actually happened around Ambleforth.

A place where the rich thrived on their imported salmon, and the poor tended to their crops, this was Ambleforth. A small town several miles from any major city, with a reputation for being… ‘a bit behind’ in terms of progressive thinking. Here, status mattered, and your family name customarily proclaimed your future profession more than your desires.

Everyone knew that Hanna Welling would take over the bakery after her father, and that William Ulner would be the next manager for the local Hotel in town. What was definitely certain, more than any of those, were that Jonah Rosenhold would be the next city governor after his father. Because such was how it had always been. The Rosenhold family had through generations been governing the town, being the founding family and it was not custom to go against tradition. Which Jonah found slightly thought-provoking.

So, in a town so wrapped up in their ways, it was quite a sight when the circus rolled into town. As if turning on a light in the dark, the grant tent had appeared in the cornfields outside town. When something new happened, all citizens were intrigued and naturally had been drawn to the giant crystal ball that glittered from the top of the tent, illuminated in lights.

Once the two friends had made it there, Jonah’s eyes brightened by the sight of the amazing tent in front of him. He felt Marco tap his shoulder, to draw his attention though. “Tickets are over here,” he told him and Jonah turned to the direction he was pointing.

He hadn’t expected to so abruptly look right into silver eyes, framed by long lashes in the face of the a very beautiful scarlet-haired woman. Marco let out a chuckle by his friend's expression, and elbowed him in the side. Jonah send him a boyish smile. "What?" he mumbled.

"Stop staring at the girl and buy my ticket," he whispered.

"I wasn't staring," he lied, and then went over to stand in line. It was a short line of only three people, so soon enough he walked up in front of the woman. Up close he could see that her eyes were actually a light blue, and her face were sprayed in freckles on a doll-like face.

“Two tickets please,” he told her, and pulled out his wallet. "Does this place really have an actual psychic?"

So far, most of the folk came in linens or cotton of variant tunics and dresses. Compared to the alluring circus, or more specifically herself, these village people dressed awfully dull in different shades of brown and the occasional blue. Mell's vivid attire was indeed a true contrast to their dull ones. On her head, she tied a red-violet scarf with small gold coins dangling at it's edges. (Let's not forget her curly, unruly hair as well stood out from all the straight-haired blondes and wavy-haired brunettes). She wore several necklaces of various lengths and of course all in gold with added gems of blue and red. Her necklace overlapped her loose red-violet blouse and seductively tight blue corset stitched with gold vertical lines. Although her skirt, matching the color of her tight corset, is not visible as she attended to her fellow patrons, she had another red-violet scarf wrapped about her waist with more dangling gold coins to be displayed. Each of her movements made a chattering sound as she spoke enthusiastically to each and every guest.

Two tickets please,” he told her, and pulled out his wallet. "Does this place really have an actual psychic?" Her icy blue eyes trailed over both of the men's garbs. Their attire was much like other folk, in regards to style, but they had materials seemingly more fit for those of the wealthy. Both men adorned themselves in silky tunics stitched with gold designs along their collars. As the man spoke excitedly, she gave him a mischievous smile. He has a soul of a gypsy... she thought to herself as she analyzed him further and genuinely finding him attractive, but the question was: Did she find the luxurious clothes or that man within the clothes attractive?

"Welcome, newcomers!" she said dramatically; she wiggled her fingers, adorned with an absurd amount of rings, towards her two potential clients. "If it is the future you seek, then it is with me you'll meet," her voice sang the words playfully. The night was still young and she was full of energy. "Would you like to invest in two fortunes or only one?" Shamelessly, she leaned forward, exposing more fully the curvature of her ample breasts and the sensual line between them. Her eyes danced playfully between the two men, seeing which of their eyes will drop first towards her lusty trap.

Jonah and Marco stood in front of the mysterious woman, looking like complete contrasts of each other. Jonah's eyes were alit with amusement and intrigue, and Marco stood with his mouth slightly ajar from her act and beaming of blunt skepticism. As soon as she started moving forward seductively, Marco was quick to look aside awkwardly, while Jonah practically leaned in and was meeting her eyes with a charming smile of his own.

"We would like two fortunes, and two tickets for the show inside, unless they go together," he told her.

"Jonah..." Marco said and patted his friend's arm repeatedly, even if it took a bit more effort to revert his friend's gaze this time. When he finally turned his head, he was pulled close so Marco could speak close to his ear. "...we both know it's a scam, what if she tried to rob your money?" Fortunetellers were not fake per say, but it seemed that Marco had a hard time thinking a place like this had the real deal.

Jonah let out a sigh and sent him a look, before looking back at the fortuneteller. "...I guess just one fortune, please. My friend here, is a bit of a... skeptic." Jonah had to admit, he was more spellbound by the girl than the palm-reading as well (when it came down to the core truth).

"I'm fine with the real show," Marco clarified and then realized she was standing right there, so he quickly put out his hands. "I'm sorry, miss, that was really not to offend. I just..."

Even without her telepathic abilities, she could read the two men before her like a simplistic children's book. The brunette was madly attracted to her, mirroring her movements while maintaining his dark eyes locked onto her contrasting light eyes. His emotions telepathically gave her body warmth; she felt chills from his welcoming spirit. His feelings of attraction was so strong, it suppressed the ominous emotions his blonde friend was emitting. She found herself in a trance, smiling just as warmly as she felt, reciprocating the curious yet exciting look in his eyes. Her hand subconsciously inched towards his. Although it appeared she was going to take his wallet, but she was actually reaching for his hand or any part of his body she could touch.

"We would like two fortunes, and two tickets for the show inside, unless they go together," he told her. Upon him saying those words, she snapped back to reality, retracting her hand as she also realized it was dangerously close to his. "That's 4,000 zeni for the two adult circus tickets plus 5,000 per insight session," as she was speaking, the blonde man was drastically trying to capture the brunette's attention. She couldn't help to glance at him occasionally as she spoke. Suddenly, the quirky skeptical man engaged in a whisper before her. Her body stiffened from his negative, distrusting aura. In an irritated manner, she rested her elbow on the top of her counter and waited for their attention with her chin in her palm.

Jonah let out a sigh and sent him a look, before looking back at the fortuneteller. "...I guess just one fortune, please. My friend here, is a bit of a... skeptic." Sitting upright again, she nodded and responded accordingly, "No problem, that will be 9,000 zeni." Just as they were about to make the exchange, his friend added a comment, "I'm fine with the real show." Realizing she was standing right there, he quickly put out his hands, "I'm sorry, miss, that was really not to offend. I just..." "...calling me fake? Not insulting at all," she retorted sarcastically then handed out their tickets: two red and one gold. With a roll of her eyes, she continued doing her 'job,' "Give the red tickets to the clown there. Once the show starts, you're free to visit me during or after the performance!" Almost like nothing happened, she was smiling again as she gestured towards the front entrance. "Enjoy the show~"
sTK79Ke.jpg

"Thank you very much, miss," Jonah said with a brief smile, and handed her the money, before receiving the three tickets. As soon as they had walked away from the stand, he slapped his friend over the head with the back of his hand. "You daft idiot," he whispered.

"Oh please," Marco hit his shoulder back. "As if you ever had a chance with a girl like her anyway, casanova."

After a short debate on Jonah's manliness the two of them made their way inside the tent. If Marco had thought the circus was only for kids, he sure changed his mind. Acrobats seemed to risk their lives in elaborate tricks and dives through the air, naturally only letting the audience think they failed, before swooping back up safe and sound. Jonah found the hairs on his arms lift when the psychic twins started making things float, and everyone were in tears by the clowns performances. By the end of it both men were so elated that they could probably have taken a trip up the swings with the acrobats. It all was tied together by the amusing ringleader, who was witty and extroverted.

"That was amazing," Jonah cheered.

"That was pretty great," Marco admitted and took a bite of the hotdog he had bought.

"I am going to see the seer by the ticket-stand," Jonah announced. Marco was in too good of a mood to be more of a downer, and just announced that he would be heading home. So soon, Jonah made his way to see the seer on his own, reaching her tent, and waited to get inside.

abf829aff622020eeb5735fe7772093c.png

What was once the booth to buy tickets was now a trolley. Small steps led to its entrance of red curtains with gold tassels dangling from its ends. The roof was round and its wood was painted a dark blue. The line that stood before Mellina's trolley was long, but nothing compared to the Psychic Siamisetwins. Their black tent with gold stars of various sizes painted throughout gave a mysterious allure. It certainly gave a different air compared to Mellina's trolley. Her trolley was simplistic in regards to its statement: this place homes a gypsy. The twins' attire was simply black, and to uphold to their name, they've woven all their dresses together at the hip. Their style was very modern and it appealed to the newer generations and those who were greater skeptics. On the other hand, Mell attracted tarot card or palmistry enthusiasts and believers of the unknown.

As the line dwindled, it was clear something strange truly occurred within Mellina's trolley. Her clients expressions, as they would leave the trolley, ranged from tears of happiness to very grim expressions. Meanwhile, in the twins' tent, customers generally left happy and appeased with their consultation. It is not a surprise that one or two clients waiting within the twins' line would transfer over to Mellina's out of curiosity. Why are so many people crying when they finish speaking with Mellina, they would think. Why did that man leave running? Why? Why? Why?! Anyone within her line keen to those who have visited her, would find their hearts racing in excitement and their minds filled with wonder.

Before Jonah, stood a woman with her fairly young child. The little girl hopped around excitedly while the mother wore a nervous expression. "Mama! Mama!" the girl would occasionally say to get her mother's attention. "Mhm?" she answered, "Will we try talk to daddy again?" The mother's hazel eyes went wide and quickly covered her girl's mouth, "Shhhh!" She began to whisper in her ear, "We don't talk of those things in public..." The mother was utterly pale at the mention of her deceased husband. It was even more embarrassing that her daughter acknowledges publicly that this is not her first attempt to reaching out to him. She did not want to look desperate, but she was.

Finally, the mother and child were able to get their turn with the palmist Mellina. The mother carefully watched as the old man walked out of the trolley wearing an expression of bewilderment. She had to resist the urge to grab the man as ask him if she's truly a fortune teller. Can she truly read palms? Is she real? Holding her daughter's hand tightly, she walked up the small steps and past the red curtains.

"Welcome to my place of tellings!" she waved her hands dramatically as she greeted. "Come. Let us not waste time. Touch my hands." The teller rested her hands face up on the table between them. She sensed the tension deep inside the woman. It was clear that she did not come for the circus, but for her readings. The little girl looked at the room with awe. "So pretty!" she commented, putting a smile on the gypsy's face, "Thank you."

The session took as long as any other session and as expected, the mother and daughter left the room dumbfounded. As the daughter looker at her mother in a puzzled manner, her mom mumbled to herself the tellings she was told. The main advice that was given was to not return. "No man wishes to burden their wife," said the seer, "Live your life in the present. Move on! Live on!" "How do I move on?!" she asked, "Open your mind. Once you open your mind to happiness, new opportunities will rise!" "Open my mind..." she mumbled, "...open my mind."
sTK79Ke.jpg

If nothing else about the seer would prove to be real, the line was at least impressive.

Jonah had not thought that so many people would actually be superstitious, not in their little town of up-turned-noses. People weren't usually cheering for change, and much less oddities. They preferred the comforts of their own norms. Even if it had been proven a long time ago that ghosts and seers were real, albeit rare, there were still the more traditional people who refused to believe in it (like Marco). Apparently curiosity had struck though, and unfortunately that meant Jonah waited a while, before it finally became time for his turn.

People walked out with various expressions in the mean time, and it just peeked his interest, as he stepped up to the doorman, who was a bulky fellow, who no doubt towered over every single person in line. The man's calm black eyes rested on him, and Jonah handed him the ticket he had bought earlier, before he swung the curtain aside to the inside of the tent.

"Hello," he greeted as he came inside. "I am the one with the... skeptical friend."

As beautiful as she was by the ticket-stand, the red-haired seer was sitting by her table. Jonah politely reached his hand out toward her in greeting. "Jonah Rosenhold," he presented himself, before taking a seat in front of her. He send her a boyish smile. "...unless you already knew that."

abf829aff622020eeb5735fe7772093c.png

"Welcome to my place of... tellings.." her hands were raised dramatically, but upon seeing Jonah, she couldn't help to pause. His air oozed of curiosity and his eyes filled with admiration. The sharp change in emotions hit her like a freight train. "Hello," he greeted. "I am the one with the... skeptical friend." She let out a laugh at his introduction, "It doesn't take a psychic to know that he wouldn't stick around!" The unruly red-head eyed the man's hand as he casually struck it out towards her. In the dim light, her eyes appeared silver. Their glare was seemingly care-free, but for the first time she was hesitant to see a client's future or past. She had no control over what she could see. Normally, she only sees what she 'needs' to see. It was clear that her powers were made solely to aid those in need. "Jonah Rosenhold," he presented himself, then added with a boyish smile. "...unless you already knew that."

Mell cleared her throat, "I would known if I had touched your hand earlier," As she spoke of his hand, her silver eyes emphasized on the one reaching towards her. She showed no intention of returning his shake, so he proceeded to sit. As he did so, she plopped her elbows on the table, intertwined her fingers, so she could form a nice canopy for her chin to rest on. "I'm Mell," she finally said, "... and I must be frank with you... I'm scared to tell your fortune." Her face reddened slightly as she looked away embarrassingly. "I sense... your life is heavily intertwined with mine." Although, she did not see his future, her instincts already told her that he's important. Her hands don't usually act on their own like they did at the ticket booth with Jonah. In a long time, she hadn't felt this sensation, this urge to know one's fortune.

After the age of eleven when she acquired her gift, her life was spiraling down. Unintentionally, she saw the fate of her friends, family and even teachers. She foresaw how her gift was going to change her life through others and it was very upsetting to the young Mell. At least, it did not hurt as much when she lost her friends when she did nor her family's trust because she already knew she was destined to meet that fate. Only after a few years of solitude, she met a black man full of enthusiasm. For a little extra money, he played card tricks and spoke of a circus coming soon to their town. All it took was a small brush of his hand from behind her ear to expose her own future. He was merely pretending there was a card behind her ear, but he didn't know that touching her would result in her grasping his arm mindlessly as she saw their future. He was dangerous. He was fun. She was welcomed. She found a home. The black man was a little shook by Mellina's abrupt hold of his arm, but when she told him, in private, of her secrets later, he helped sneak her out of parents home and she left Gainsville forever with her new traveling home, the circus.
