  FLIRTY - no matter how many years Smoke has been taken, she loves men and their attention, if they are worthy. Smoke is shameless in flirting and will return everything she gets. Whether it is just an innocent exchange of phrases at the bar or a playful banter leading to hot wild sex.
  
  ADVENTUROUS - there are not many things smoke is really afraid of. She loves just getting on her bike and riding to the sunset, god knows what kind of adventures await her. She never says no to anything adrenaline-related and jumps in recklessly, head first.

  Marisol Valencia never knew her mom. The poor woman died in labor while giving life to her. Her father had married a fiery Latina who spiced up everything in his life and that was also how Smoke got the name she always hated and banned everyone from using it. Ever. She started to go by her nickname Smoke which she was given because there was always a cigarette hanging from between her lips and then, she was able to get her gun and “smoke” a bitch away in a second. Some cheesy douchebags like to joke that it’s because she’s “smoking hot” but to Smoke, it’s not funny and usually gains those guys a really violent wake up call.
  
  Being raised by the gang leader himself, her older brother and all the guys in the gang, Smoke was everything people would expect her to be. By no means a lady. She was always loud and vulgar, rough around the edges and definitely not gentle. From a very early age, she was taught to ride a bike and living in this community taught her a lot. Until she reached 14, she was homeschooled and only then sent to high school. Smoke was never a good student. She wasn’t stupid, just lazy, always did just a bare minimum to actually pass. Other than that, she could care less. Her father kept getting phone calls that Smoke was getting into fights and not behaving like a good girl. The result? Her dad always came to school and took her side. “They shouldn’t provoke her, my girl is sharp, she takes after her mother.”

  Once she graduated, there was no great college career waiting for her. Smoke didn’t even want one. Becoming a bartender at the Clubhouse, working alongside her friends, riding her bike, that was her lifestyle, everything she ever wanted. Of course, with working at the bar, there came a few issues but Smoke was always able to handle herself. Cat calls, whistles, pervy remarks, she had an answer to all of these. Though not a verbal one.
  
  That’s how she met Brady Walsh, her boyfriend. He came to the bar just as she was trying to get rid of the pervy customer. Brady restrained him and was about to kick him out when Smoke delivered a severe hit with her tray right on the guy’s jawline, shattering the piece of plastic into million pieces. Brady has been in her dad’s gang for a few years already but the two never really got close. Until this very moment when he realized she was an absolute badass and he had to have her.

  The two hit it off right away. Their relationship was turbulent and they were either fighting or fucking, there was no middle ground. After some time, Smoke realized this was not exactly a relationship she wanted and decided to end it but her father wouldn’t hear it, telling her she should give it some time. A good daughter she was, she agreed but it was only getting worse so Smoke found a boy or two to fool around with. Brady had no idea, of course, and it made Smoke a bit more satisfied.
  
  In this relationship, she developed an addiction. She had smoked and drunk like the best of them before but now she also added the white powder and pills. Smoke became a total addict. In combination with her being a control freak, there were not many people who could handle her crazy ass and boys usually avoided her.   LADIES’ MAN - ladies might just very well be the bane of his existence. Brady cannot resist a pretty girl and chases every skirt he sees. He has his smooth moves and makes ladies swoon everywhere he goes. Just one pearly white smile is enough for him to make a girl fall onto his lap.
  
  PROTECTIVE - whether it’s family, friends or loved ones, Brady will always walk that extra mile to make sure they are safe. Maybe he can get a little over the top sometimes but to him, he can always justify it by saying he is only doing what’s best for others.
  
  CREATIVE - Brady designed every piece of ink on his own body. In his darkest moments, he just grabs his sketchbook and draws until he feels that his nerves are down. He had his little escapades with beating assholes bloody and spending a few nights in jail and he doesn’t want that to happen again so he found himself a little hobby.
  
  HOT-HEADED - it doesn’t take much for his anger to ignite. One remark, one mean comment, one wrong move and Brody’s hands form fists. He is not exactly the most patient type and he battles his anger issues valiantly but not very successfully.

  When Brady was born, no one cared. Not even his own parents. He was merely an accident and was also treated like such. No one really knows who his parents were, probably some drunk coked up hippies because they simply had him, put a diaper on his little butt and left him in a basket on the edge of the road. Little unnamed baby would have died if Wayne Valencia wasn’t riding around. He took the baby in and let it be raised in his gang.
  
  Wayne, of course, had his own family to take care of but little Brady, as he decided to call him, grew up alongside his children. He proved to be really clever and fun to be around so Wayne didn’t protest against anything Brady ever did. After some time, he considered him his own son in a certain way. Not like [Tink's guy] or Smoke, but he was family.

  The older he got, the more his personality developed and formed, of course, influenced by the community of wild bikers. By the time he started high school, he was already full of his own suave. LAdies were practically falling to his feet. He could just walk the hallways and reap the ripe fruits of his effortless work on those girls. Brady enjoyed his life as it came, he never really cared about the consequences, not even when he managed to get girls pregnant which happened two or three times.
  
  After high school, he made his dream come true and became a tattoo artist. He was always a creative soul and drawing or painting usually calmed his temper down. Around that time he found someone who was actually worth his time. A girl. She was gorgeous. Beautiful, smart, someone Brady actually could imagine giving up his current lifestyle for. He was set on getting her, on making her his...and she left.

  It took Brady a while to get over it. He needed to learn to live with the fact that she was never going to learn what he felt. And that’s how he ended up dating Smoke Valencia. She breathed danger, she was hot and unpredictable and exciting and Brady felt like he hit the jackpot with that girl. Of course, he had no idea she was such a high maintenance. Their relationship was more than toxic and yet they kept it up. Old Shotgun thought Brady was good for his wild daughter and Brady didn’t want to leave that girl. No matter what, she was still the most amazing girl out there.
  
  As the months went by, Brody was more and more clear that Smoke was doing her own thing. They were still officially a couple but Brady took a page from her book and started to get himself a few side chicks. And then Smoke found out and went on a roller coaster of crazy which only launched yet another chapter of their nasty relationship leading to arguments of “you can and I can’t”. • growing up

  Milana was born the only child to two loving parents, Margaret and Edgar Antonov. Her father immigrated from Russia to the United States with his family as a child, never really knowing much about his homeland. He grew up rather poor, but they always somehow had enough to make ends meet. As he got older, he found a passion for building and understanding how things were put together. However, without the funds to be able to attend college, Edgar decided on a career in construction.
  
  Eventually, he worked his way up to the role of construction manager. But, his dream is still to create and build a structure of his own one day. Margaret was born and raised in her small town, never really exploring the world outside of it. She had a fairly normal life, two doting parents, an older brother, and a Labrador retriever. Nothing was really out of the ordinary in her life, and Margaret preferred it that way. She grew up to become a dental hygenist and works at the local dentist's office.
  
  Margaret and Edgar met during a routine check-up for the latter. As the story goes, Ed wouldn't quit trying to flirt with Maggie, and she ended up accidentally chipping his tooth with her cleaning tools. Needless to say, she fixed him up, they went on a date, and the rest was history. After marrying, the couple purchased the perfect two-bedroom, two-bath Tudor home in the relatively good part of town. Being a craftsman, Edgar surrounded the home with a white picket fence, and all in all, they seemed to have the perfect American Dream life. The only thing missing was a child. A couple of years into their marriage, Margaret became pregnant with their first child: a daughter.
  
  After she was born, the couple was convinced they could never love another as much as they loved Milana. And so, they decided not to have any more children. Milana's childhood was strikingly normal. She liked to play with her dolls, swing on her tree swing in the backyard, and create crayon pictures that would ultimately end up on the refrigerator. Her father coached her tee-ball team, and her mother took her to dance practice every Saturday. They ate family dinner together every night around the dining room table, even going as far as saying grace. For the most part, everything was routine and constant. Aside from her Grandpa Steve.
  
  When Millie was a child, her grandfather used to be the one to take care of her most often while her parents were at work. He was a retired airplane pilot and Air Force veteran, the type of guy seen at a church in the morning and a pub in the afternoon. Her grandpa was a tough man, but still hometown, kind, and generous. That being said, he had no idea how to care for a kid the socially 'normal' way. Instead, her grandfather took her to the pub, got a few beers with his also-retired friends, and taught Mills how to play poker.
  
  After years and years of this being her daily afternoon activity, she got really good at pool and insults. Shortly after her 14th birthday, her grandfather passed away. It was an incredibly rough moment in her life, one that sent her into a bit of teenage rebellion, resulting in the small feather tattoo on her ankle. But, like homeostasis, things eventually went back to normal. She got good grades all through high school, graduated from high school with honors, and was accepted into her first choice university.

  Milana had always been incredibly observant, even as a child. She was intuitive and empathetic, able to understand and perceive what other people were thinking and feeling without having to be told. She had wanted to become a criminologist, but her friendships with Juni and Smoke meant more to her than some silly dream. And so she decided to go to school for psychology to become a therapist someday. College started amazing. She made lots of friends, joined clubs, and did fairly well in her classes. But something she couldn't quite place seemed to be missing. Everyone seemed to have a story, something deeper below the surface that molded them and made them who they were. And she... Well, Millie was boring.
  
  As smart as she was and as perfect as her life seemed, she didn't have a story to tell, and that didn't sit right with her. At the beginning of her junior year, she began looking for ways to act out. Anything to give her the rush of adrenaline that she craved. It started simple: speeding while driving on the highway, arriving a couple of minutes late to class, ordering her food extra spicy. But after seeing a couple of flyers in the recreation center, that drastically changed. Millie joined rock-climbing, cliff-jumping, even parkour clubs, all with the intent of just feeling something. And, much to her enjoyment, she did. This was the beginning of her addiction to danger because she was terrified of being boring, of ending up just like her parents. Milana went on to graduate from college with honors despite her extreme extracurriculars.

  After college, Milana wanted nothing more than to travel the world and see everything it had to offer. She had her passport in hand and suitcase packed when she received the call that her mother was sick. The older woman was diagnosed with an unaggressive form of leukemia that wasn't entirely detrimental, but it was cancer nevertheless. Ever loyal and knowing her mother needed someone to vent to, Mills returned to her hometown to set up shop. She rented a one-bedroom loft apartment above the main shopping district in town, and subsequently rented out the space below her home to serve as a therapist's office. Business was surprisingly booming. But Millie couldn't shake the feeling that she was falling into a routine, and would eventually be stuck in the 9-to-5-with-weekends-off life that her parents had. She needed something, anything to fuel her addiction, even if that meant flirting with danger in the local gang.

  Smoke and Millie met in school during freshman year when Juni recommended Millie as a tutor for her since she was struggling with grades. They became pretty close friends to the point that Smoke felt comfortable introducing Millie to the gang. That gave her a taste of life more interesting than hers, and Millie began to crave the danger and adrenaline aspects of it all. Millie went off to college to study psychology, and Smoke kind of went off the deep-end (drugs, partying, etc etc). They never really lost contact but weren't as close as they once were. That being said, when Millie returned to town to help take care of her mother, she and Smoke reconnected and got close again. But, now all grown up, they can get into more trouble together. Millie still tries to keep Smoke grounded, help her deal with her emotions in a mostly healthy way. But she also doesn't want to fall bake into a boring small-town life like her parents have and lets Smoke pull that bold, impulsive behavior out of her.

  Brady "Ink" Walsh

  Millie and Ink met when Smoke took her to the gang compound for the first time. As a teenager surrounded by rough-and-tough bikers, Millie was a little out of her comfort zone. In the times that Smoke wasn't around, Ink would keep her company, teaching her to ride a bike or giving her her first cigarette/alcoholic drink. The two became close, developing an almost sibling-like relationship. They tease and make fun of another. But both know that, if push came to shove, they would be there for one another. Ink is a bit more invested in his relationship with Smoke and asks for advice from Millie. She does her best to help him as well as her best girl friend, despite knowing how toxic their relationship is. Millie is the naive, innocent girl that needs protection from the rest of the world, especially the more unsavory members of the Crimson Aces, and Ink is her protector.

  Juniper Dawson

  Juni and Millie met in high school at the beginning of freshman year. They shared several advanced placement classes together and really hit it off. The two became close friends and hung out all the time, but for the most part, stayed away from the Crimson Aces compound. It wasn't until Juni introduced Millie to Smoke that the trio began hanging out there. Eventually, when Juniper and Millie graduated, they went off to college together and unfortunately left Smoke behind. The two were roommates throughout their college careers, supporting one another through classes and rotations. Unfortunately, when Millie's mother got sick, she had to move out of their apartment together to return to Newcrest. Nevertheless, the pair have kept in touch over the two years they've been apart.

• growing up

  Jason Dougherty grew up in a rather strict household in Los Angeles, CA. His father, Jason Dougherty Sr., was a corporate lawyer who was rarely home due to all the cases he had piled up from a particularly self-righteous company. His mother, Master Sergeant Olivia Taylor, was a stern and stoic higher-ranking member of the U.S. Army. She expected nothing but the absolute best from her son and pretty much micromanaged his entire childhood. Olivia chose his friends, what sports he played, made sure he was tutored to be a few levels above his grade at any given point, and even went as far as choosing his clothes well into his teenage years. She only wanted what was best for Jason, but he grew to hate being told what to do and thus defied authority at every chance he could.
  
  When Jason graduated high school, he wanted nothing more than to get away from his overbearing mother and lackluster father. So, he packed up his entire life and moved to New Orleans. He had no idea what he would be doing or why, but he needed to get away. To make ends meet, Jay took up a job as a mechanic. His grandfather had helped him build his first car at the age of 12, it was the only family time they ever spent together. Based on that memory and knowledge, he knew he was pretty good at handling cars and motorcycles. One decisive night, however, the auto body shop was held at gunpoint as all the money and parts were stolen. Jace couldn't help but admire the bravery of the cops that were on the scene, chasing the perpetrators on foot without a second thought. With that idea in mind, he decided to go to college for a criminology degree and then attend the police academy.

  A few years later, Jason graduated as a rookie cop and joined the NOPD based in the French Quarter. He worked his way slowly up the line, starting as a traffic cop, then a beat cop, and finally to a rookie detective. This was where he met his mentor, Captain Lorenzo Rossi, head of the 14th Precinct. He was an amazing role model, everything that Jay wanted to be when he became a senior detective. That is, until Captain Rossi's mental break after his wife's death. Jay tried to help in any way he could, but eventually, the senior detective could no longer pass a psych evaluation and was forcibly retired. Jace still tried to visit him now and again, but it hurt his heart a little bit more each time he did.
  
  A few years later when Jason had been promoted to senior detective in organized crime with the state department, he met his soon-to-be girlfriend, Detective Alicia Camp. They were partners in justice, a dynamic duo with a rather high solve rate. Together for about two years, the pair headed out on a bank robbery call one day. Things got heated, and soon shots were exchanged. In the adrenaline of it all, Jay was shot in his dominant shoulder and pulled from the scene. It wasn't until later in the hospital when his captain came in to break the news: Alicia had been killed.

  Heartbroken and filled with guilt over his girlfriend's death, Jace took a few months off to gather his thoughts and try to work through the mourning. Not exactly emotionally strong enough to be back on the job, he forced himself back into the precinct and the field. Though the Captain was unsure of his mental stability, Jason was the only detective with enough previous experience to fit the undercover position in the Crimson Aces. Deadset on redemption and revenge, Jason allowed the state department to erase everything about his past and build him a new one as a new recruit for the local Newcrest biker gang. He has been with them for about three years and has already worked his way up to a patched member. It won't be long until he has all the information he needs to bring them down.

  Marisol "Smoke" Valencia

  Bear joined the gang about 3 years ago and has since slowly gotten closer to the gang-leader's daughter. They're friends who share a drink or go on patrol together every now and again. He sees getting closer to her as an opportunity to climb the ladder and get to the top dog of the Crimson Aces. Smoke is a flirt and would try her charms out on him, yet she trusts him to keep the Aces' best interests at heart. Bear will end up as a bodyguard of sorts, taking her home from the bar when she's too drunk or stopping her from starting fights. He becomes her guardian angel in a sense. In the beginning, he thinks he's doing it for the job. But eventually he realizes that he's falling in love with her, especially when she starts to show him her softer, more vulnerable side. So Bear has to make a choice: give up everything he had spent his whole life working towards, or give up his love.

  Brady "Ink" Walsh

  In the beginning, these two are mostly neutral, only interacting when absolutely necessary. Eventually, however, two alpha males butting heads is never good, and that's exactly what these two become. With Smoke being the common denominator between both men, it easy to see why they don't get along after the break-up. Ink may have a soft spot for some people, but he's also possessive and jealous, and might see Bear as the reason things didn't work out with Smoke. After a bit of tension, Ink eventually realizes that Juni is the girl for him, and there are no more hard feelings between him and Bear. At least, until Bear's true identity is revealed. FIGHT.

Juniper would never know her mother, as the woman didn’t want her to begin with. She wasn’t even a groupie to the Red Aces, one of the biggest and baddest gangs around LA. She was just someone traveling through, who had a one night stand with Carson Dawson, and got pregnant. Carson didn’t even know she was pregnant until she showed up on his doorstep, about to pop. He already had a son, Robbie, and since Robbie’s mother passed in childbirth Carson figured he was done having kids. But when he saw that familiar face with a belly the size of two basketballs, he couldn’t turn her away. Wendy stayed with Carson, never revealing her ulterior motives until it was too late. She had just given birth and gotten released from the hospital when she did it. She robbed them blind and skipped town.

She left Juniper behind. No note, no phone calls, no texts or anything. It quickly became obvious that Carson was on his own with the baby, and nothing. No money, nothing he could pawn that was worth a damn. He was furious, of course, but he didn’t blame Juniper. And as far as he was concerned, she was his child, and he was going to take care of her. Some friends pressured him to get a paternity test, so he did, and sure enough-- Juni was his. Angry at her mother for what she’d done, he was never quite able to let that anger go. He turned to the bottle, and turned quite violent. Robbie protected his younger sister from their fathers anger as much as he could, but he would always tell Juni stories about the better life she was destined to have. Eventually, Robbie became part of the gang as well, following in his father’s footsteps.

By this time, Carson was practically unrecognizable to those who used to be his friends. He was excommunicated from the gang, exiled and sent away. Although Juniper didn’t know this, Robbie harbored anger of his own, angry at those people who swore to help their family but turned their backs on Carson when he needed it the most. Carson disappeared, and Robbie rose through the ranks of the Red Aces until he became one of the trusted members. He wasn’t Vice President or anything high up like that, but he was trusted. When Juniper turned seventeen and graduated high school, Robbie made sure that she went off to college to make something of herself.

So she did. She entered a fast paced nursing program pretty much on the other side of the US, leaving that life behind. She got a job at a prison right out of school, and for a while, things were fine. Until she started getting threats in the mail, left on her car, and even on her doorstep. Robbie called her one night, frantic, and she heard gunshots in the background and everything went silent. She flew home as fast as she could, only to find out that Robbie was missing, presumed dead. He’d betrayed the gang as well, but the people that were after Robbie were after her now. The gang’s higher ups decided to take her in to protect her, though there are those that oppose the decision.

Ashton was born three years before his younger sister, and he did as all older brothers did: he tormented her first, but also protected her first. Their mother died when she was giving birth to Smoke, leaving behind their father and the two siblings. Even from a young age, he was always picking on Smoke and teasing her, but if anyone else even tried to touch her or hurt her feelings, Ash was on them like gasoline. This got him into trouble alot, but in a way, it also brought the siblings closer together. Ash likes to think he helped teach Smoke how to have a backbone, though maybe sometimes he feels like she has too much of one.

Their father found little Brady on the side of the road when the siblings were a few years old, so they've practically all grown up together. Ash, being the oldest, always felt like it was his place to be in charge but that doesn't mean Ink and Smoke always went along with what he wanted. This led to lots of fights and arguments, and even some black eyes and broken bones. But they were all as thick as thieves, especially while growing up. Ash started out being homeschooled with Smoke, but when he reached middle school, he decided he wanted to go to actual school, so he went while Smoke stayed home.

This led to him being a little better socially than Smoke, at least at first. Both siblings are headstrong and will fight for what they want or need, even each other. Ash did start to get his own friends once he reached high school, drifting a little bit from Ink and Smoke. Ash has always been the type to go for what he wanted, but being raised the son of the leader of the Red Aces taught him alot. He doesn't trust easily, and can read people fairly easily. He may act like a dumb fuckboy at times, but he's quite smart. He just likes for people to underestimate him. He works as a mechanic at a local shop, and even sells parts illegally for the gang, along with partaking in other illegal activities to make money on the side.
