This is a chatroom roleplay and to many of you, it might be a completely new concept to you. As far as I know, it started in the gaia online roleplay forums. I played the chatroom with a lot of other people and ever since I've joined here i have wanted to bring it to you guys! If you've played chatroom roleplays before then wonderful! You'll be able to introduce this website to how this wonderful concept is played! I do warn you though, it might be a lot at first but but the hard part is the layout. If you have a problem with it, don't hesitate to PM me! I'll try and make a detailed and simple tutorial on how to layout below. Once you get the layout, it's very simple! Here are a few things you should know before you start.
Hey you guys! How's it goin? Anyone seen Rika around here? (Scratches head and looks around). Well I guess not. Anyway, Sanaka, Rika told me to give you this image. (Sends image link to Sanaka and looks back around.) I could have sworn Rika was here somewhere. (Looks in bushes and barrels.)
This is definitely my favorite part of chatroom roleplays. Layouts are what make all of your posts look pretty. Here is on of the most simple templates that you can make. This one has no images and only uses simple formatting but still can look nice and organized. Usually there are images, colors, etc. I had a bit of trouble with the spoilers, so i'll just place it here.

Here is another template that some one of my friends has used. As you can see, they've spent a lot of time making it. I've edited it a bit to make it easier to understand. Again, had some trouble with spoilers.
Now finally, here is a layout template that you can make your own layout with! Have fun! Make it your own, and make it pretty. You want it to be unique. Just like you and your character! If you get stuck you can always go to the maps section of this roleplay and see more layout examples.

In fear of misunderstanding of the roleplay I made sure to make an example of play. I've made some basic layouts so that the format would be understood and playable. There will be characters who will go into a chatroom and show you how it's done. These simple layouts from the last section were used here to show you how it can be used.

1. Activity:
Make sure you are active. I understand. I'm about to go into college classes and it will be hard for people to stay on to check all the time but some people will be waiting for your next message, so stay active!

3. Stealing
DO NOT steal others layouts for your own character. If you have trouble making one, PM me and I will help you straight away.
4. Drama
Keep the drama between your characters. The last thing I want to see is real life problems. That means no harassment between players.
5. Reserves & Profiles
Reserves are first come first serve. Character reserves last for 24 hours until you can make your character. Layout reserves can last up to two days. Considering the work that goes into them. Also, when making a character, make sure you put the words "logging on now!" in your skelly so I know you read the rules. ♥
6. Welcoming
Since this is such a new project taken from other roleplaying websites, try and be welcoming to people wondering how to play. Show people how to make layouts and don't insult some one elses layout if it isn't as good as yours. Make sure your layouts are readable!

- Chatroom roleplays take place in a chatroom of course! I like to treat it like a hologram chat room where you can use actual emotion and gestures. You can also have private conversations with others.
- Chatroom roleplays use Layouts. These are basically things that make every one of your posts look pretty and organized. The (maps) section of the roleplay will have example layouts and code to make your own!
- Chatroom roleplays are usually crossover roleplays where you take characters from a specific fandom and make a character but OC characters are also very acceptable. You are free to make whatever character you'd like to make. Whether it be real, anime,etc.
- Chatroom roleplays are one+ liners. I know what you're thinking, this means the roleplay is not Lit. Well, on the contrary! You can be very lit with your posts. They should be 1 line or more. Remember, this is a chatroom so you won't be describing scenery or writing long paragraphs!
- Chatroom roleplays are still 3rd person. They work a bit differently than normal roleplays. You'll see that in the "example of play" down below. Basically, you will chat as if you are talking in the room or just like the shoutbox on the homepage, but when you want to do an action, you will put your action i colored letters. I'll make a small example in this spoiler. remember, while reading the example, you don't have to use parentheses around your actions. You may style that to your layout also!
