History:
Brian had a relatively normal childhood, well as far as someone who was a meta-human with wings coming out of his back could that is. When he was twelve his parents divorced and Carter, his father, moved on to be with Hawkgirl. "It was destined to be." Oh how tired he was of hearing that, even his mother believed that crap! She was happy for the man and wished him the best but Brian just saw his father as someone who chose fate or destiny over him and his mother, abandoned them, betrayed them. Brian didn't see his father nearly as much in the following years, busy being a hero...with his new wife. But when Carter did visit, and mind you he did try with Brian, the teen wanted little to do with him. Joining the league had been his dream and plan at a young age, the divorce had distorted this plan however and for many years he'd done his own thing rather than join up. But it was inevitable and he did eventually join the Justice League, fulfilling that dream in the end.
After Alcatraz:
Brian nearly lost his life at the end of the battle, in the last moments before the island had exploded he held two civilians in his arms as he attempted to fly them away in his own escape. But not long after the trio had taken to the air were they caught in the explosion. The two men he'd tried to save had perished in the blast and he likely would have as well if not for the meta-gene within him. And even before he recovered weeks later, Brian left the League as it started to crumble. Brian's life-long dream had fallen apart right before his eyes.
Now, years later, Brian finds himself a drunk who generally passes out in abandoned buildings throughout Gotham most nights. Without the Justice League, without that basic structure to help keep him in check the man had slowly spiraled into a dark place without purpose. People find a reason to hate you in their own mindset's when you're different even when if you helped try to make the world a better place, so he'd come to find out.
When Brian was saving people or fighting to do what was right, people had looked at him and his wings with admiration or thanks. But when you're a bar tender, working construction, bouncer, or a part of the any of the other hundred odd jobs he'd participated in the last few years he'd spotted the dirty looks...the people wondering why a man with wings was working here. It was like his childhood all over again, nothing had changed no matter how much good he'd done. Some jobs he'd quit, some he'd been fired for starting shit, and some found themselves losing business with him around and kicked him to the curb. So Brian has given up and spends his days drinking as much alcohol as he can get his hands on, but it's never enough.
Personality:
Brian is a stubborn hothead, and he'll start mouthing off if you get him heated. He'll get the job done by nearly any means necessary, not afraid to get his hands a little dirty in the process. That being said he's not afraid to speak his mind to both friend and foe alike. The man can be a bit lazy, and potentially found sleeping in some awkward places and positions. Fact is he has his own lines that Brian will not cross, otherwise it's all fair game.

Weaknesses:
Fear of Storms/Electricity - Long and partially obvious story involving an adolescent Brian and Lightning.
Wings - As much of a gift as they are, having one heavily injured throws off his balance immensely and makes even ground battles more difficult for him.
Provoking - Make Brian angry enough and he'll come at you with everything he's got, tunnel visioning so hard that it leaves himself wide open at times.
Alcohol - Brian is an alcoholic with a problem, a part of him will always want to go back to drinking himself into a hole.
