A world conference of the Global Defense Initiative involving numerous civilian and military leaders from every Blue Zone in the world had been assembled to discuss the new fiscal planning and directions of the Global Defense Initiative for the upcoming year. It was to be a busy time where many new directives were to be put into place and continuing the future shift of GDI from that of war and conflict into one of ecological control and reclamation, pushing back the growth of Tiberium and turning yellow zones back into Blue Zones.

However, NOD had planned carefully for this moment. They planned long and hard, learning from their mistakes in the previous war. In Tib War 2, the destruction of The Philadelphia was their end game. For Tib War 3, it was instead the opening salvo to the hatred of those of the Nod Yellow Zones, showing just how far they were willing to go to kill GDI and the Elite of the Blue Zones.

As the bastion of GDI leadership fell from the sky, NOD launched a full out assault on every Blue Zone on the planet in an attempt to crush GDI and take back the resources that they feel are rightfully theirs.

The opening salvo of this war caused many to be frightened and scared. But those of unique personages known only by the colloquial term Commanders, whether or not that was their actual title are rushing towards the forefront of this conflict.

What will be the state of the world from this new war and who would end up on top? Only time will tell.

WELCOME BACK COMMANDER!

Xavier Vásquez would have been one of the many that had been on a call with a loved one when it cut out. Perhaps it was merely an Ion Storm that caused a blockage of the signal. It wouldn’t be the first time. But usually that sort of thing would have been foreshadowed by a static laced image and volume. And neither of them were in a yellow zone where that kind of thing was common.

No. It wasn’t that. And his fears were brought forth as the news networks began showing what happened. The Philadelphia, what had been the seat of all that was GDI’s leadership since before the Second Tiberium War was gone. And so was his adopted mother.

The woman that had protected Spain from the machinations of NOD, making an alliance with The Forgotten in the region and bringing them in to GDI. She had rebuilt an entire nation….and now she was gone.

All of Spain would be mourning her loss soon as she was an instrumental figure in helping integrate the people there into GDI in the first place.

It was then that he had noticed the light on the console. Pushing the button, a soldier in the field was giving him an alert. A one Lieutenant Cho from field intelligence. She looked understandably frantic and frazzled.

“Commander. Incoming Nod all across the board in every Blue Zone on the map. I’m sending you the locations that we can reach in time. We can only reach one of them before the other two are overrun.”

And so it begins.

CHOOSE ONE BATTLE:

Battle of Andong-
A city mainly known for its Folk traditions and Accompanying festivals. It provides a natural resting stop for all agricultural growth in the nearby regions. A huge technical College also provides support in creating technologies in studying and hampering the growth of Tiberium. A loss here will be a decrease of technical availability in the region. It looks as though Nod is assaulting with a large Infantry Squadron with Light Air support.

Battle of Changwon- A port city that is not only a major industrial setting, but also the environmental capital of the region. Many civilian vehicles and seacraft are produced in the area. A loss here will be decreased vehicle and seacraft support in the region. It looks as though Nod is attacking with a mix of Light Vehicles and infantry supported by A Nod Battleship off shore.

Battle of Naju- A city where major innovations happen from the region in areas of agriculture, energy and communications. A loss here will be a decrease of food supplies in the city in the region. It looks as though Nod is attacking with a HUGE Infantry force including saboteurs to capture important structures.

Carwyn Llewellyn was sitting at his desk when he got the news. The entirety of GDI was under attack. Not only was leadership gone to shit with the literal head of GDI chopped off at the neck with others trying to scramble to put together some sort of chain command, but NOD was on the full offensive after many years being mostly in the dark or border raids, being relegated into the annals of history.

But he and the Ghosts knew better. That was why they developed the stealth technology that they possessed. Having technology in a similar vein as NOD, but with the raw power of GDI backing it was something that they would never see coming.

Them and their Prophet Kane would be folly to try to take any Blue Zone, but certainly not to take Wales. His home turf was not up for debate and he would have to show them exactly why it was such a bad idea for them to do so.

He contacted his Field Intelligence officer, Lt. Ellis, a rather straight laced fellow that always seemed to remain calm no matter what danger he was facing.

“Sir, I am laying out what available locations we can reach with our forces. However, be advised that they are striking hard enough that we will only be able to defend one location before the other two are overrun at the present.”

CHOOSE ONE BATTLE:

Battle of Saint Davids- A city whose main defining feature is the Cathedral that makes up most of it. Why would NOD attack a holy site? A loss here will be a morale decrease in the region. It appears that they are attacking with a large INFANTRY HORDE.

Battle of Newport- A port city that is a site of high tech manufacturing and engineering for a variety of GDI vehicles. A loss here will be a decrease of Vehicle supplies in the region. It appears that it is being attacked by a mix of infantry and light vehicles with some air support.

Battle of Wrexham- A city that has a small GDI garrison that is under assault defending the administration hub of the region. A loss here will be a decrease in funds in the region. It seems that they are attacking with a LARGE VEHICLE HORDE.

Hamada was a man that had made such a name for himself within the GDI organization because of his impeccable skills in management and his flawless paper trail. Those in the bureaucracy of GDI absolutely loved him, while the soldiers that served under him had much less kind things to say. Often, many would attempt to transfer out from under his command at the earliest possible convenience to commands where those in charge had a better rapport with their troops.

It wasn’t something that mattered to Hamada. As long as everything was running smoothly, he was a content man.

But this recent event, the destruction of the Philadelphia, it ended that and disrupted his daily status quo, his normal routine.

Not that exact act itself, but what it unleashed. It was the full-on NOD attack on the Blue Zones. It disrupted his routine. He had every minute planned out of every day.

Hamda pushed a button on his console, bringing up the straight laced face of his field lieutenant so that he could find out the situation on the ground. Lieutenant Masa was on hand and with an exemplary record, even when compared to his own usual standards. Which meant that not one rock would be misplaced or event un recorded on the task at hand.

“Report.”

CHOOSE ONE BATTLE:

Battle of Toyota-
A site of major vehicle production for the Blue Zone in Japan. The loss of this would cause issues with Vehicle resupplies in the region. Nod is attacking with a large force of Ground vehicles supported by small squads of soldiers.

Battle of Chita- The city contains Industry as well as being a major power supply for the entire region’s agricultural endeavors. The loss of this will incur food shortages in the cities. Nod is attacking with a large infantry force supported by a small squadron of air units.

Battle of Fukuoka-The second largest port city within Japan. The loss of this will affect supplies to the country and transport via the seaboard. It will also increase Nod forces in the blue Zone. Nod is attacking with a force of elite infantry supported by a Battleship.

NOD
The Brotherhood of Nod

“Brothers and Sisters, it is time to throw off our shackles of oppression and face down the oppressors that are GDI. For too long, they have horded supplies and greater lifestyles beyond their city walls in the Blue Zones. Now, with the destruction of the symbol of their oppression from above and the death of their leadership, now is the time to strike back and take back what is ours!!

PEACE THROUGH POWER!!

To all Nod Commanders, it is now time to strike back at the designated Blue Zones and Capture land that is to be ours in the name of KANE.”

The word had been given. The Great Insurgent had on the word of Kane, destroyed the Philadelphia as the opening salvo of the Third Tiberium War. Now was the time for the Grand Marshal to make his mark and do enough to join in Kane’s Inner Circle, the most coveted place of power within the Brotherhood.

His own propaganda has brought him many loyal soldiers in the name of Nod and now was the time to use those very same men and women to assault the Blue Zones that GDI have protected for countless years.

The yellow Zone is where their main base is situated, but if all goes well, they will be bathing in the glorious waters of Florida before long.

Pushing a button on his computer, he summoned up the image of his field Intelligence officer, a beautiful young woman with piercing blue eyes named Valeria.

She gave a bow as he came on screen, the proper respect for one that is beloved by his people and feared by his enemies. “My Lord, we have been given three possible targets within the Blue Zone of Florida to attack. Whichever one that we do not attack, other Nod Commander will assault. So the choice is yours first as befitting someone of your Command.”

Battle of Boynton Beach- A city that contains casinos and has a rather high divide between the rich and poor, even for Blue Zones. A win here will draw more forces to our cause. GDI presence is a light Infantry force supported by a Light Air Presence.

Battle of Daytona Beach- A site of GDI recreation in the form of car races and other betting activities. A win here will demoralize the forces in the area. GDI forces are a contingent of Vehicles with a light support of infantry.

Over the years, the main hub for Central Consensus was slowly moved out of the yellow zone that was southern Spain and into the Red Zone that made up Egypt and specifically into Cairo.

Cairo was a place of significance for NOD as Consensus had been in command of the base that had fired the ICBM that had destroyed the Philadelphia space station. After years of painstaking deliverance before Kane, they had been able to prove that they are just as capable, but much more obedient than CABAL.

Eventually, GDI could manage to track their position though, and they will need to be ready for that. In the meantime, Kane has ordered Nod Forces into the Blue Zones, but there is a series of special missions for Central.

A deathly pale male that looked so incredibly gaunt that he might as well be a living skeleton appeared on the screen.

“I have the missions along with their parameters that Kane has sent for you to complete, Consensus. Please choose quickly as Kane will wish to hear of the results.”

The Hordes of General Markus Lionhearth were practically chomping at the bit in order to get involved in all the fighting. It was practically taking every effort to get his men and women to hold off of their attacks of wanton destruction as they were an extremely rowdy bunch and ready, willing and able to kill and destroy everything that lay before them.

There were constant brawls that broke out among the knife warriors and the rioters. They needed a good fight and soon.

Luckily for them, the attack on the Philadehlia had given them the perfect angle to do so. On the word of Kane, all NOD forces were to attack the BLUE ZONES and capture what was rightfully theirs, what was rightfully his by proxy, of course.

His infantry was top notch, of course. And they would be put to the test. They would go through the grinder and come out on top because he demanded it. And what he demanded, was received and given.

He pushed a button on the communications console, bringing up a beautiful, muscular woman that had a large scar across her left. His Field intelligence officer, Andressa Sousa. She gave a respectful head nod.

“My General, these are the locations that have been sent to us. We are to secure as many of them as we can. Our forces will only be able to assault one at a time, but they are all ripe targets for the taking in the Chile Blue Zone.”

The Forgotten

“Those who have been taken by the green crystals are thought to have become lesser. But that is not true. We have become something more. Something much more in tune with the world at large as it has been becoming.

We might now be different than the human race, but we are still men and women. We are those that wish to exist among you and not be held at arm's length. We wished to be embraced within the call of your cities and your people.

But we have been rejected at almost every turn. Only within the land of Spain have we found a safe harbor. And only then, under the guidance of a woman that with the destruction of the Philadelphia has been lost to us.

It is only a matter of time until we once again have no home.

For those who are lost, you have not been Forgotten.”

Mobius was the world’s first and foremost scientist in the realm of Tiberium, at least where GDI and the non NOD people of the world were concerned. After having been thought lost decades ago in an Ion Storm, leading to the creation of Ion Storm Vaults to aid in the protection of the populace, it seems that Mobius lives as a member of the Forgotten community and continues his own research.

The news was bleak. The Philadelphia was destroyed. It was not only the seat of government for the military of GDI, but also its civilian leadership. With its death knell, only chaos could ensue.

With Nod attacking all the Blue Zones, and civilians lashing out at Forgotten enclaves, opportunities are rife for change.

A man with green crystals growing along the right side of his face appeared on the screen in Mobius’s lab. He was the Field Assistant for Mobius, named Kort, someone that joined once Mobius began to get a bit more adventurous in his actions.

“Dr Mobius, there are some active battlefields where your research and forces would be helpful to maintain the peace. I’ll list them for you.”

The Battle of Hamburg-
The huge metropolis is also the 3rd largest port in Europe. The GDI garrison is under heavy assault by NOD and almost overrun. It’s loss will increase NOD presence in the area. Nod Forces consist of a large group of infantry supported by light vehicles.

The Battle of Leipzig- A city that is the economic power of Germany and center for trade. The GDI garrison has fallen and its remaining infantry are fighting urban warfare to take back the city. If it falls, NOD will increase its War Chest allowing higher numbers of NOD troops in the region. NOD forces consist of Anti-Infantry Flamethrower troops and Tanks.

The Battle of Kassel- A fervent group of civilians have taken up arms against the Forgotten living in the nearby Enclave. If this is not dealt with, it will increase unrest against Forgotten in the region. The civilians are attacking with a small group of infantry supported by light vehicles.

The time of the neo-Druids is at hand. The spread of Tiberium has led its way to the flourishing growth of Tiberium based creatures and creatures that have been mutated by the green crystal into something new and different.

The Neo-Druids wish to live in tune with this new nature as the druids of old and create great enclaves of peace with the newer growth of the environment.

There are those that wish to control and revert the environment back to its pre-tiberium days, GDI and The Brotherhood who wish to spread it to reach some sort of ascension.

With the destruction of the GDI leadership, NOD has launched attacks into their BLUE ZONES, leaving their Yellow Zones ripe for the taking.

The Neo-Druids will be able to claim the Tiberium Lifeforms for their own.

A young Militia man wearing drab brown robes with crystals growing out of his shoulders by the name of Arvis rushed forth and gave a deep bow to Amirjah.

Battle of Yanchep- Inside of a former national park, a Nod squadron has been using the area as a training ground for infantry. There is a population of mutated hawks that are in danger of having their homes destroyed. If the battle is lost, the Hawks will be scattered. Nod forces consist of a large infantry battalion.

Battle of Port Hedland- A large Nod port in the area that has been expanding its fleet capacity in order to better transport their forces via waterways. “It is a sad day in which we must inform you, the general population of the destruction of the GDI space station, Philadelphia along with hundreds of thousands of people in what was most assuredly a NOD terrorist attack against the members of the GDI.

Stay safe.”

Wenert Hafner had recently been put in charge of the city after a mutant extremist group had unleashed Tiberium Fiends into the city. There wasn’t much left of the previous ruler after that and he was unceremoniously given the position with all the power and responsibilities that came with it.

Things at least had recovered nicely and the city was moving smoothly. They had their walls and they had their troops to help protect them against whatever they needed to fight.

Which he would have thought would have been the odd militant or Tiberium based lifeform that got past the walls.

Oh how wrong he was proven when the Philadelphia was destroyed and NOD rushed forward attacking all the blue zones and everything in between. Their land was part of Switzerland that was actually in the Blue Zone.

A frazzled Militia Communications Officer appeared in Wenert’s screen. His name was Lieutenant Yodder.

“Sir, Nod has reached the cities near our own. Which one should we rush to aid?”

The large screen, with a familiar but warm blue glow, bathed Xavier in light in his dark bedroom. His dark, short cropped hair was cut to regulation length, but the short expanse of hair was interrupted on the left side.. Numerous 'cracks' that ran across his skin, glowing with an eerie green light. His right eye was a deep brown, while his left eye.. did not exist. A single smooth, green ball of tiberium sat in the socket, surrounded by a series of cracks, crisscrossing his skin leaving it a checkered mess of eerie cracks and sun-kissed flesh that looked ready to shatter apart in blood and gore if someone so much as touched it. On the screen before him, was an older woman in a soft pale dress, with long black hair tied back into a long braid. Her hair had streaks of grey running in, her eyes were a soft green and she had a small smile across her lips. Mariana Vásquez, Baroness of León and longtime GDI Senator, was still a beautiful woman despite her age, and she was his mother.

"How are you settling in, Mijo?" Mariana said, her voice with the barest hint of concern that she failed to hide.

"Fine, undersupplied, underequipped and undermanned, but we will manage," Xavier said, having long since learned to not bother hiding things from her. She always seemed to know when he was lying.

"I'll make a call," the baroness said, a flash of anger filtering across her face.

"Don't, it'll be fine. I'll never overcome this if I keep asking you for help," Xavier said, his mouth tightening to a line.

Mariana scanned his face for a few moments, looking for something, but like always, while she was great at reading him, Xavier could never decipher what went through her mind, the perks of being a politician, he imagined, "Okay, Mijo, but if you need anything.."

"I know, mom," Xavier said, the corner of his lip lifting.

"Did you hear that Valeria is-" Whatever Mariana was going to say about his sister caught short as red lights began to flare behind her

"Mom?" Xavier asked as he leaned forward, the sirens blaring in the background. A weight settled in his stomach, he turned his head to check another screen to try and read any incoming reports but nothing was showing up at his clearance.

"What is it?" Mariana asked, Xavier turned his head to see his mother looking off, away from the screen, speaking to.. someone. So many emotions flashed across her face, so many he couldn't read, but each one made the weight in his stomach grow, and a feeling crept in, one he had not felt since he was a child, fear.

"Mom?" Xavier asked softly

"Mijo," Mariana said as she leaned forward, her voice wavering and thick with emotion, "I lo-"

Before she could finish, the screen cut out and the sound of static was left blaring.

≡≡≡≡≡

Xavier jolted bolt right in his bed, the thin blanket sent flying from his bare torso as sweat ran down his body. He raised a shaky hand to his face and ran his fingers along it, sliding over the numerous cracks that ran through his flesh. He closed his eye and took in a few shaky breaths as he tried to calm down. Again. Every night since the attack, he had the same dream, over and over again. He wasn't sure how long it would last, but each time he was left torn. He lost her. Again. And again. And again.. and there was nothing he could do, but at least, for those brief moments, he got to see her again. Hear her voice again.

A soft beeping filled the dark room as a small blue light pulsed.

Xavier reached over to the side table and lifted the helmet of his armor and slammed it down on his head, the helmet sealed with a hiss as the darkness was peeled away as the HUD came online. With his mask secured, Xavier rolled over and hit the activation key on the terminal and the large screen lit up, bathing his room in an overly bright blue light.

"I'm sorry to-" Lieutenant Cho started, her hair tied back into a neat ponytail, apparently recovered from her frazzled disorder from the aftermath of the Philadelphia's destruction. Her eyes were drawn to the large green cracks that ran through over his bare chest.

Xavier fought the shiver that ran down his spine as he felt her gaze crawl over him and resisted the urge to lift the screen away from him. He knew what he looked like, he had seen those stares all his life.. But he had never grown used to them.

"Report, Lieutenant," Xavier barked, his tone crisp and harsh to jolt her out of her lull.

"Apologies Commander, there has been a situation.." she said before going into her report.

Build Refugee Processing Centers

With the NOD attack on Korea, and other nearby blue zones [such as Japan], Xavier is expecting a mass exodus of displaced refugees and civilians. To avoid getting bogged down in the chaos, he is attempting to build some processing centers that, hopefully, can process these refugees and get them somewhere safe, and out of the way, of the conflict. [No idea for bonuses, just feel like it has to be done to keep civilian casualties down].

Scorpion Legion
Turn 01

All along Bal Harbor, large sheets unfurled along the sides of tall buildings before being anchored and set in place. Nod trucks rolled up and deployed large projector arrays with powerful speaker systems. Scorpion Militia were gathering up locals under the watchful gaze of Scorpion Soldiers. Here and there NOD banners and flags were being put out and flapping in the wind. The city was being looted even as the upper crust who hadn't managed to flee were being rounded up and interrogated. The snap hiss of static came before the projectors all came online. There was a man in a leisure outfit next to a fireplace notably in the shape of the flying skull emblem of the Scorpion legion. NOD insignia on display here as there as the man took a drink from a glass before smiling into the camera.

"Greetings! Today is a new day for you, my friends. NOD has come to liberate you from the shackles of the GDI. Now some of you will claim you did not have shackles, you were not slaves. Let me ask you this? What would happen if you stopped working? Could you still eat? Could you still be safe in shelter? Could you drink clean water?"

The Grand Marshal arched a brow at that last question, regarding all with an almost paternal expression.

"No. That is because the elites of the Blue Zones still need you to be slaves. To hold money over your heads. To lord over you as they continue to try to maintain the Old World. But the Old World is dead, my friends. Tiberium killed it. NOD killed it. Even now the scraps of the Philadelphia are burning up in the atmosphere, a tribute to the many who have and are dying to bring about the New World."

He smiles some as he pauses to enjoy his drink as if he were simply addressing everyone in person. He then sets the glass aside, pouring himself more but leaving it on the table as he regards the camera, the crowds watching him.

"I am Grand Marshal Raul Juarez. I have seized the first of many regions in the American Blue Zone to be repurposed to serve its citizenry. To spread the true message of NOD. Many of you here were slaves. Be liberated! Some of you were the slavers. Your justice is about to come. Even now the Scorpion Legion is appropriating much of the local wealth for redistribution. The era of rent and loans and fiscal bondage is OVER!"

Juarez slams his fist as in various square areas, special trucks are rolling in and deploying, their trailers opening to reveal mobile gallows as their supports set to steady them firmly.

"I broke the cartels of Mexico! I shall break the cartels of the Blue Zone! GDI! Its corporate collaborators. Politicians perpetuating the Old World!"

Wealthy citizens are being marched up onto the mobile gallows.

"What I do today is but the beginning! NOD has come for the GDI. We will show you what the New World brings. PEACE! THROUGH! POWER!"

The screen cuts to the NOD emblem even as various wealthy citizens suddenly feel the floor drop out from under them, left to dance in the air or go limp as the snaps of rope going taut were heard. The Grand Marshal never wasted bullets on the elites. They were unworthy of a warrior's death. It was also a more graphic message to the liberated that NOD wasn't playing around. That they were the order in the region now and no one was going to stop them.

The mainframe of consensus housed a single building one could walk into in truth it was little more then a hub for each one of the massive supercomputers that comprosed each of consensuses functions, to operate effectively it’s physical avatar whom was named after the system spin around idly on a chair, the avatar was made to be... approachable and more human it had vastly help the nod command to trust consensus beyond cabal, now situated in egypt the AI paused, “wraith, penance, vigilance, it is time” it spoke to itself a signal being set and the sands shifting as a ICBM launched on a course for GDI oppressive command station in orbit, they would not escape retribution today.

even in this moment of triumph consensus felt.. somewhat saddened, the man it would considered it’s friend and uncompromising overseer, Sinclair had been transferred.. for his excellent work a promotion to a more senior position. rather sad a Sinclair had actully grown rather fond of the AI, the pair geuinly having formed a friendship, now consensus awaited its orders mementos of a bygone era around him, Spanish artefacts and a lot of crates objects that seem arbitrary but realistically, where parting gifts form their civilian allies, a crate obsessed militia group who saw GDI for who they where but wished to keep their independence, this was fine they’d eventually see the light. But for now nothing... till the old face of a certain Sinclair appeared on the screen giving him orders “right away peace through power“ consensus acknowledged expecting the communication line to shut instead he was greeted with a soft smile. “It’s been some time consensus… we are so close to victory.. thank you... for what you’ve done this day will change history, I will be there shortly to witness it with you, see you soon my friend“

The Defiant

Librarian.jpg

The familiar sound of rustling paper comforted Wenert as he relaxed within 'his' office, the sixty-four-year-old former librarian finally beginning to feel the anxiety that had been creeping at the edges of his mind lessen. He had received word back that his men had managed to survive contact with the enemy and even beat them back, something that he hadn't known for sure that they would be able to do. The old man wasn't cut out to be more than a pencil pusher in some office somewhere, he knew that. He was good at paperwork, he was smart, he had a bloody Oxfordian education for pity's sake! But no, the people of Basel had decided that he would be the one who would lead them. Him! An old man ridden with arthritis, back pain, and nearsightedness shouldn't have been in charge, it should be a young man who could join the soldiers and hear their gripes and grievances.

"Mr Wenert, sir!" A young man pushed his way into the room, standing at attention once he was fully in. "The men have returned with the scraps and equipment that the NOD forces they defeated, as well as a message from the Airbase commander, sir!"

"At ease, hank you Private, Jackson, wasn't it?" Wenert sat forward and nodded to a folder in the soldier's hand. "I assume that is The Thinker's report of the battle?"

"It is sir! On both accounts sir!" The private was quick to hand over the report, stepping back into an at ease position.

"You are dismissed Private, I will take a look through the report and make sure it's filed away," Wenert closed his eyes and sighed as the soldier gave an affirming cry and left. Entouré de soldats, qu'ai-je fait pour mériter ça? Pressing the intercom button on his desk the librarian spoke to his secretary. "Diane, apportez-moi un café s'il vous plaît. Ça va être une longue soirée je sens."

The Green Machine

"Remarkable! Truly remarkable!"

Ignatio turned towards his Dictaphone, his long blonde hair, turned white through age and so much regret and now speckled with green as it stood on end, brushing against it as he spoke into his almost constant companion. A burst of static groaned from the machine, as a spark of electricity leapt from Mobius fingertips. Hitting it with his other hand, the Dictaphone made a popping sound before the eminent expert in Tiberium recorded his latest findings into his current condition.

"When you can tune yourself internally to the higher frequencies, you can utilize fractal resonance harmonics, bonded on a quantum level with geodesic lattice structures encapsulating multi-valent harmonic interaction"

Keeping hold of the button, Ignatio pupils flittered between the top corners of his eyes as he pondered for a moment. "Or, in more simple terms, my mutation has bestowed the benefit of lightning to me"

Nodding contently with his explanation, he put the recording device down and looked back into the microscope.

He knew he was often confusing at times, having a habit of communicating somewhat sesquipedalian but he was trying to better himself in that regard as of late. Especially in light of his new role as Commander to the similarly stricken, his ailing allies that were the Forgotten. Which was certainly an appropriate term for himself now.

Believed dead by his former backers in the GDI, struck down alongside his staff in an Ion Storm, Ignatio and his peers had in fact survived, their experiments into Tiberium and the lethal lightning coalescing into a force of change for the scientists and turning them into what they had tried long and hard to cure. Mortally maladied mutants. The very same beings that had found them and took them in into their Enclaves.

While he could not speak for his contemporaries, Mobius himself felt almost rejuvenated in his present state.

The Forgetten folk hero had already theorised the bolt from out of the blue may of course have overloaded his synapses, rendering a considerable change of personality due to a pernicious event with regards to his cranial matter but he felt almost young again, eager for research and repentance in equal measure. Without risk their could be no reward and in his current condition, the possibilities were almost limitless when it came to the aforementioned former.

Surrounded by bubbling beakers, churning centrifuges and energized electrodes, each piece of equipment was just as busy as himself as they continued his work into the mutagenetic capabilities of Tiberium Riparius and it's offshoots.

There was a knock on the door. "Doctor Mobius, Kort is on the line."

Spinning around on his chair, Ignatio jumped to his feet. "Ah, I wonder what news my able assistant has from the field"

"I'll take it in the Main Lab" responded Mobius as he hastily put on his lab coat.

Leaving his private lab, Ignatio felt he was forgetting something important...

"Ah yes!"

Leaning back into the room, Ignatio turned off the light switch, closing the door behind him as numerous beakers began to bubble violently....
