I'm a bookworm, a fangirl, and I love ranch sauce.
Mabel was walking across campus when her attention was caught by a bright green poster. She paused and ripped it off the telephone pole it was stapled to. She read it over, seeing that someone was looking for a roommate, and that their building was closer to the school than hers was. She folded it up and shoved it in her pocket, wanting to think it over.
She went about her day as usual, and when she got back to her apartment she pulled the paper out of her pocket. She read it over again, but she had already decided on what she wanted to do. She pulled out her cellphone, punched in the number, then put it to her ear. A few rings went by and then a male voice spoke.
"Hi, is this Nathaniel? It's Mabel Peeler calling. I saw your advertisement for the extra room in your house and I was wondering if that offer is still available?" Mabel said, talking with a sweetened tone.
She went about her day as usual, and when she got back to her apartment she pulled the paper out of her pocket. She read it over again, but she had already decided on what she wanted to do. She pulled out her cellphone, punched in the number, then put it to her ear. A few rings went by and then a male voice spoke.
"Hi, is this Nathaniel? It's Mabel Peeler calling. I saw your advertisement for the extra room in your house and I was wondering if that offer is still available?" Mabel said, talking with a sweetened tone.

Nathan was going about his day as usual. He woke up rather early, took a shower, and got dressed. Nathan had a lot of graphic tees that were either related to Doctor Who or Harry Potter. Today, he went with a shirt that had two wands firing at each other, their streams colliding in the middle by his chest. It's supposed to be like one of the final scenes of the Harry Potter movies. So naturally it was one of his favorites. For pants, he just stuck with regular jeans, but for socks, he chose longer ones that had the TARDIS on them. And then he just had a regular pair of sneakers.
Today, he didn't have any classes, or really much of anything to do. So with that freedom, he decided he was going to bake a Dalek cake. And then afterwards, he would play some video games. However, as he was sticking the different components of his Dalek cake in the oven, his phone suddenly started to ring. Answering it, he said, "Hello? Yes, this is Nathaniel, and yes the spare room is still available. If you're interested, come by, and I can conduct a small interview." He was surprised that of all people, a girl was interested.

"Great, is it alright if I come over now?" He agreed, so after saying goodbye, she hung up the phone. She glanced around at her basically empty apartment - her old roommate, and ex-bestfriend, had recently moved out and taken almost everything with her - including the couch, TV, coffee table, most of the kitchen appliances, and a lot of the decor. Mabel couldn't stand having all this empty space to herself, she couldn't afford to live here alone, and she wanted to be closer to the school - three perfectly good reasons to move.
After eating a quick meal, Mabel brushed her teeth, grabbed her purse, and then headed out. She took the bus to Nathaniel's house, holding a small piece of paper with his address written on it. She got off at the right stop - she knew this because she checked several times - and then headed down the street towards the house. She double-checked the address before she walked up to the front door and knocked.
