The mind is a fearsome thing, don't tread on it.
do-or-die
The morning sun was high in the sky. The border of the human realm was clear. There was a long line of mountains that separated the humans from the magical lands. One side of the mountains was cold and dead looking with no magic anywhere. The elf side of the border was magical. Colors and magic creatures everywhere. The forest was thick. The human side had forests, but they cut them all down for wood. It was sad. Humans were so self involved that they failed to see the magic that dwelled and that they should be blessed to live in such world. Humans didn't see that. All they saw is what they didn't have and what they could have. So, the Moonshadow and Sunfire Elves separated them and now they guarded the border to make sure the humans could not spread their hatred and sickness anywhere but the barren northern lands.
It was almost noon, and the guard of Sunfire elves was changing. They always had their strongest warriors on at the times when their power would be greatest. The current guards climbed on dragons who offered their assistance to get the elves back and forth. The border would be open for a minute or less. The sun continued to rise and soon no one would be able to stand against the Sunfire elf guards. All of them carried weapons that humans would have no access to. Their swords burned with the same heat as the fires that made them, so human armor and shields were worthless against them. Not to mention their bodies were capable of entering the 'Heated State.' The veins of a Sunfire elf would burn like fire through their skin and their eyes turn to look like the sun. In this state they are stronger, faster and more powerful than they already were.
Arostire was riding on the back of his dragon. He was sitting cross legged as he flew on the back of the dragon. He had his chin laid on his hand and his elbow on his knee. He knew the importance of keeping humans at bay. Problem was that humans never attacked at noon. They knew Sunfire elves kept guard at noon. Despite being stupid enough to defy laws of magic, they weren't dumb enough to take on one of his kind at the time they were strongest. It was boring. He sighed, knowing he had to do what was right. He sat there as the dragon streamed across the sunlit sky. He would keep every magical creature from the brutality of human.
