Biography:
Clara was raised in Nuvema Town, Unova, by her mother and father, and has always had a passion for Pokemon, ever since she first met one as a little girl. She gained much of her knowledge of Pokemon through interactions with Professor Juniper, who also lived in the small town and who hired Clara from the age of 8 to help look after the Pokemon she brought back to Nuvema Town for research. As a result, Clara became quite knowledgeable about Pokemon and the many aspects of Pokemon's lives.
At age 11, Clara received her own Pokedex from Professor Juniper, along with her very first Pokemon, Fennekin. She almost instantly set off on her adventures as a Pokemon Trainer, aiming to fill her Pokedex, catch every Pokemon in Unova, and defeat the Champion. Her biggest wish was to become an Ace Trainer, as her own Pokemon heroes were Ace Trainers themselves. She slowly improved her skills, battling Gyms, meeting other Trainers, and making plenty of new friends, Pokemon and human alike. Eventually she had become quite the powerful trainer, and many people knew about her. Unfortunately, before she could reach the Elite Four, Team Plasma arrived at the scene, and she was one of the trainers to be attacked and defeated by a group of Grunts, who, despite their low class in the villainous group, far outnumbered her. She returned to Nuvema Town disheartened and distraught, and refused to try again, not wanting to hurt her Pokemon anymore.
However, only a few weeks after this, a new hero emerged, a trainer from Nuvema Town of all places, and they managed to defeat Team Plasma, returning everyone's Pokemon to them, including Clara. However, she was still upset about her easy defeat, especially considering a beginner trainer had managed to defeat everyone in Team Plasma, and she released the majority of her Pokemon, not wishing to endanger them any further. She did keep her Fennekin, however, as she had never really trained with it after catching more powerful Pokemon during her adventure, and it was still basically the same beginner Pokemon it had been when she started. She decided to be wiser with her training, and not just catch her strong Pokemon. She would catch the Pokemon, and then train them until they themselves were powerful.
With this in mind, Clara set out again, and captured several more Pokemon, this time thinking carefully and training her Pokemon, giving them boosts and special care. She did feel much stronger as a trainer, and with this new confidence, she decided to head to the Sinnoh region, wishing for a new start and a chance to become an Ace Trainer.
