This has a TON of information in it from a roleplay I've been adding onto for years. I'm going to make it again sometime but I finally want some critique on both the world and story. Don't complain about length, you've been warned. Also, I apologize for any gramatical errors. All of this was typed up last year.

Story

"A long time ago, long before the time of man there was a race. A race that had settled all of its differences, and devoted all of its time into learning, and self-gain rather than war. This race was known as the Aspera, and though they may no longer be here, their ruins are still present today. Hmm, getting ahead of myself am I? Back to the lesson. Where was I? Oh yes, the Aspera was a culture that was around long before our own, they had settlements all over the world, and their technology was far greater than any of us could even ponder! We also know that the Aspera had....'special' powers. Research indicates that they could learn, run, and do almost anything better than any run-of-the-mill human, with other strange abilities that defy the laws of everything! It wasn't just because of their form either, countless years of genetic engineering went into the perfection of this race. But anyway, I'm getting off topic yet again, all we really know is that they were a great race, peaceful, strong, and had beautiful cities that now lie in ruins. None of us exactly know what happened, but they died off...Somewhat.

Now we get to us, mankind. We cannot settle our differences, and are still in conflict with one another. Yes, we have colonized the world, and have beautiful cities...but nothing compared to the Aspera. We seem somewhat...neanderthal, compared to them. Or so we thought until 136 years ago we found something out that changed the world forever. A select few have the powers of the Aspera buried within. I know it sounds crazy, but bear with me here. We have found out that certain individuals have the bloodline, or DNA that partially contains the smallest genome of Asperian DNA. These individuals are special, and can wield the same powers the Aspera once did many years ago. See, we wouldn't know that much about the Aspera if we didn't find this out. The most important thing we have figured out about the Aspera was that they were excellent warriors, and could wield fabled 'magic'. It's not exactly the same as the stuff of children's tales, but it is still different and has changed the world beyond any of your understanding.

These cetain individuals are called the children of Aspera.

That ends today's lecture."

In another galaxy far away from our own and on a different planet there is Mankind, a much more advanced version of man. They rule over their domain would any planet yet...man were not the first inhabitants of it. Long ago, many Era's back, there was a race far more advanced than humans, they built great cities, had an understanding of the universe that we couldn't even comprehend, and above all they all had special powers that made each of them unique from one another, intertwined deep within the many helix's of their DNA.

The Aspera though...are gone. No one knows what happened to them. There is no evidence of a great war, famine, or disease that killed them. It's as if they simply upped and vanished! Just like that, in the snap of a finger gone! Yet their cities have survived to this day scattered across this world, much of it still intact due to the sophistication of the buildings, and much of the technology still works. But the Aspera left behind an even greater legacy than just ruins in technology.

There are...certain individuals. Rare individuals for that matter that, deep down, inside of all of the DNA that makes up the human body they somehow have small strands of Aspera DNA, just tiny bits. Even the finest microscope could miss it. Yet these tiny fragments have huge effects. These individuals gain awe aspiring powers, things that shatter the laws of physics, and defy all rules of science. No two powers are alike, every single one is unique. These individuals are known as Children of Aspera

Now we must discuss current times on this wondrous planet. It is a golden technology age, but it is still a heavily conflicted time. On the planet, named Oceania, there are two dominant governments locked in a brutal war that has lasted hundreds of years. No one knows how the war actually started due to the over-stretched lies of propaganda, but it's effects have been bitter on the world around it. Smaller countries are usually forced into Annexation to help fight, both sides brutally lunge out at each other only to be pushed back, neither side ever actually gaining ground. This brutal war between the Sanctum, an economic superpower, and the SNTS, a military superpower seems endless...

In desperation to end the war, the Sanctum and the SNTS used these newly found individuals called the Children of Aspera, CA's for short, as a new tool for warfare. Every single CA is forced to join the military, of course though, they receive luxury treatment due to how rare they are, and they are all highly trained killers. If you wanted a comparison to how CA's are treated in the ranks, just imagine them like the rock stars of the military.

The Children of Aspera are all unique individuals, that can be of any age, race, or gender. A Child of Aspera can either look completely normal, or look completely different than the average person. Children of Aspera are extremely skilled and posses unique powers. The powers of Children of Aspera are virtually unpredictable. Powers can range from...well anything really! There are no two powers that are the same in the world, and that is what causes such genetic varience in the Children of Aspera. Unlike popular opinion, powers are never basic elements. While basic elements such as fire may be apart of their powers, they do not make up the whole power

What gives a Child of Aspera their power is that somewhere, deep inside of all of that DNA, they are related to a being of Aspera, and thus they gain their unique abilities. There is a limit to how much a person can use their abilities, for they all have an inner pool of energy that using their ability will deplete. If their inner energy is depleted, they cannot use their abilities. Powers and energy are both like human muscles. The more they are used, and pushed to their limits, the stronger and more lasting they become. Danger follows these powers though, if a CA looses to much energy they could become seriously injured or even risk death. Always use caution when expanding powers.

The topic of powers leads to this next important section on the Children of Aspera, their most identifiable trait. Each child always has a special marking forged into their skin. These markings look like tattoos, and come in many different shapes and colors on nearly any part of the body. In a sense, they represent power levels, because as a CA's power grows, so does the marking, growing larger or more complex in design. They'll be a burning sensation, followed by an expanding of the burning. Then most often times the CA gains an expanded marking and new or improved powers.

All CA's have a weapon of choice that suits them all the most: Swords. Unlike guns, which most CA can block using their powers, CA's can channel their energy into swords for devastating effects.

Ranks

All Children of Aspera are ranked by their skill set, as well as experience and general knowledge. The following ranks are in order from lowest to highest, and are universal. Meaning that both Sanctum and the SNTS have the same ranks.

Lower Ranks

Trainee: Apprentices are the lowest of all the ranks, they are simply university students that have yet to graduate.

Middle Ranks

Soldier: Soldier rank is one of the mid-ranks, achieved upon graduation from the university that they are trained in. Being just a basic combat rank, soldiers are usually sent to the front lines of lesser important location, in squads of two-three CA's lead by a Knight. Soldiers also get their own custom gunship, for them to tinker and customize as they please. Most have just basic control over their powers, and still have much to learn.

Knight: Knights are the second mid-rank, promoted after showing skill or experience in combat as well as intelligence that may lead others. Knights are sent to all fronts, and are allowed to control squads of soldier ranked CA's to complete their assigned missions. Squads are always assigned at random, and Knights are expected to uphold the chain of command and keep loyalty in the ranks at all times. All knights have an advanced understanding of their skills and have higher power levels, making them both formidable allies and enemies.

High Ranks

Sentinel: These are the first of the two high ranks. Promoted from knights after showing an expert amount of skill in their powers and abilities. Sentinels usually have command of an entire platoon of soldiers under them, along with command over any CA of lower rank. Normally they'll see combat in only the most extreme areas, otherwise they get more downtime than most of the ranks below them. Another perk of being a Sentinel is being able to command their own airship for their disposal.

Master: Master is the highest rank that can be achieved by a Child of Aspera. The select few individual who make it up the chain of command this far have complete control over any CA so long as they are not of equal rank, and usually control a massive amounts of forces. To be a master, one must have a mastery of their powers, being able to devastate all with their force and cunning. These CA's are always shown the most respect, and given the most authority as well as a luxurious lifestyle.

Weapons

Guns: Need I describe them? In the world of Oceana, guns are very much more advanced than those that exist in our world. They come in all shapes and sizes, and fire metal projectiles called bullets. Guns of this time, despite having advanced systems still do not fire things such as plasma as the technology has yet to be mastered. Primarily, guns are used against Non-CA combatants, because most Children of Aspera adapt their powers in some way to block bullets. Still, they make for an excellent secondary weapon, and most CA's carry around at least one on them.

Gunships: Gunships are plane-like vehicles, but far more advanced. They are faster, stronger, and much more effective. They are the vehicle of choice for wars and exploration, due to their agility in the air as well as speed. One can easily quickly maneuver down or up or left or right or any direction really! The advancement of their thrusters allow them to do it, and because of they all come in various shapes. Most Childen of Aspera have custom Gunships made just for them, because they're that special. All Gunships have weapons of choice added into them, but many these days have the newly acquired element of plasma added into them as devious weapons.

Airships: Airships are ships that dominate the skies, made for large bombardments of cities, troop transport, and combat of other Airships. More importantly however, Airships carry Gunships, basically they are aircraft carriers. They vary in shape, and have extremely large thrusters on the back that keep them afloat, not nearly as agile as gunship but they make up for that in power. Most are equipped with Plasma like gunships, except that theirs are much larger and probably have a larger blast radius.

Swords: Shouldn't have to explain this too much. Swords vary greatly in shape and size, and Children of Aspera can put their energy into it giving them unique properties. (Example: C.A. puts his fire energy into the sword, the sword lights on fire.)

Damage Protection: To protect from bullets, fire, explosion, and shrapnel, there is a wide variety of bullet protection in Oceana. Kevlar vests are common in the lower ranks, as with their advancements they are very light and offer great protection against bullets and slight protection from fire. There are other means of protection however, with advancements in carbon fiber and of of lightweight metal, the two have been combined to form a new type of armor plating, that works very well to protect from fire, explosions, shrapnel. The drawbacks of it are though that the advanced bullets can nudge their way through after a sufficient amount of contact, and swords can pierce straight through it. These new exo-armor has become very popular with the CA's as of recently, and the armor does come in a wide variety of shapes and colors.

Nation: Sanctum

General Information: An economic superpower at its heart, Sanctum is the thriving democracy that dominates the western hemisphere of Oceana, established on three continents named Lucia, Vexus, and Avena. It's democracy is very royal in fashion, consisting of Three Councils that pass laws and declare government action across the world. Detail of the democracy will be included deeper into this section. Sanctum is very capitalist, and has an extremely strong economy that has allowed it to last this long against it's intimidating opponent.

Sanctum cities are by far, the most beautiful cities in the world. In fact, it's capital actually flies in the sky. That's right, the city of Cilestia is one of Sanctum's many floating Cities, in which the entire city is actually kept afloat by giant jets that keep it in the sky! As for their architecture style, Sanctum loves to show off it's thriving economy and technology by building plenty of tall, flashy white round buildings with natural flow and curvature to them in the cramped areas of cities, while displaying vast amounts of advanced technology in their daily lives. Water is also a common display, artificial rivers and plenty of fountains are always a common sight in Sanctum cities. Very spoiled are the people of Sanctum, with almost no poverty or lower class, they always display flashy, stylish, and interesting clothing that speaks out about their lifestyle.

Education is highly valued, and the people are very superficial, and the people speak a variety of accents. Culture is more shifted toward individual accomplishment, and independence. People are of course paid various wages, but poverty is of no issue.

The Military of Sanctum is part-volunteer. Drafting is done if needed, but it's mostly volunteer. What gets people to join the military is both the fear of their lives being changed by that of a socialist military state, and a wide variety of benefits for those who join. Those willing to join the military receive a university or college education that is near completely paid for, insurance, and monthly pay bonuses. Such expenses the Sanctum can afford, and while their military is by no means as formidable as the SNTS, they have the funding and the numbers necessary to threaten the SNTS. Furthermore, while Sanctum may not be able to dish out the damage the SNTS can do, it certainly has the ability to recover better than the SNTS.

Government: To go into detail about the government of Sanctum, as sated before, it is a democracy. The people all elect council members to occupy the three Councils of the Sanctum, which each councils creates its own laws to cycle through each council before passing. At the bottom, there is the House of Commoners, which deals mainly with domestic issues that effect the infrastructure of the sanctum, mainly domestic issues. These include things such as new laws, taxes, and police action. In the middle of the three Councils there is the Council of Nobles. This council deals with mainly with foreign interests, such as trade, tariffs, embargoes, foreign policies, embassies, mainly just anything outside of the Sanctum, minus war. Then, at the very top there is the Council of Royals. Being at the top, they focus on the big picture of both Sanctum in the world around it. Mainly their responsibility is war. No war can be declared without the approval of the Council of Nobles. Other responsibilities include the annexation of other nations, the upholding of the union, human rights affairs, and just upholding the general aims of the Sanctum. In order to pass, all laws must pass through each Council regardless of how what council they originated in, which takes much time. Usually though if a bill or law passes through its council of origin, it will most likely be passed by the others.

Leader wise, there is one that rules over Sanctum, and they are given the Title of Emperor. Doesn't make much since does it? Considering that they are elected by the people they shouldn't they have the title of President or Prime Minister? It should, but it's just one of those names that happened to stick due how the Emperor rules over three continents, and is considered to be of Royal blood. Sure, it may be a democracy but the children of previous rulers are much more likely to be elected than that of outside blood.

Elections are held every six years, and there are strict laws surrounding them. Crime is still a problem in Sanctum, so laws must be put in place so that voter fraud cannot happen.

History: Sanctum, prior to common belief, never actually came to be until roughly a few hundred years ago. What is called Sanctum today used to be known as 'The Sanctum of Western States', a union made up of various countries that inhabited all of the western continents that Sanctum occupies today. It was what we would call an 'Economic Union', which means that all of the countries on the three major western continents joined into a Union that opened all borders, forced cooperation, and made a unified currency that all nations would share.

Years would go by, and military nations would step up to protect the other nations of the Union while the smaller nations all worked on their economy to support the union, and within decades all of the countries in The Sanctum of Western States became both militarily and economically bound to one another. Backing out of the union at that point was impossible, and within a hundred years the Union succeeded into morphing all of the dozens of countries into one unified country that would come to be known as Sanctum, in honor of the union that created them.

National Colors: The official colors of the sanctum are White and Neon Blue.

The World

Oceana.png.e24db6ff56d57ad3720852c02ccb5676.png

Legend:

Oceana

The world that this roleplay takes place on is named Oceana. It consists of Six continents, and many small islands, all with varying climates and landscapes. In the map below, you will see a complete map of the main pieces of land that are controlled by Sanctum, SNTS, or neutral nations. Do note that any region that does not have a Sanctum or SNTS flag by or near it is a neutral nation

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_07/Oceana.png.e24db6ff56d57ad3720852c02ccb5676.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="61328" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_07/Oceana.png.e24db6ff56d57ad3720852c02ccb5676.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

In current times, this beautiful world is locked in a bitter war between the two nations of Sanctum and the SNTS. Because of this, the map displayed above will be updated often to show any change of control over a region.

Sanctum Locations

Cilestia: Also known as Sanctum's capital city, located on the continent of Lucia. Cilestia is a city that floats in the sky 2,000 feet above the ground, spanning with a circumference of 20 miles. The city is built in a perfectly round shape, and every single building constructed had been planned prior to construction. This city houses the Royal Palace, home of the Emperor, as well as the Royal Council building. Another notable landmark would have to be the Children of Aspera University, where all CA's under Sanctum are trained. Everything inside of Cilestia is luxurious, and even the buildings are built with the most elegant designs as they tower above the rest of the world. Streets are paved of the finest stone, and the most complex advanced city systems keep everything in line, run by a 24-hour team that works constantly in the core of the city. And just to explain very simply what keeps the city afloat, there are giant thrusters at the bottom, powered by nuclear fusion, that keep the city from smashing into the ground.

Only the rich and powerful, as well as the Children of Aspera, can live in Cilestia. It's not a rule, but everything is so expensive there that the middle class can't afford it, wether it be the buildings, high end stores, clubs, cars, and even the food! This city is also protected with the finest security, and is kept in the heart of Lucia so that the SNTS may not harm it, and just as an extra precaution the city even has the ability to move locations.

Aquatica: Sanctum's second largest city, and an experimental city as well. Aquaticafloats above the sea between Lucia and Vexus as of right now, using major floatation systems and hover thrusters to stay above the water. Being roughly 30 miles in circumference, with a perfectly circular shape that helps it float, Aquatica is the major trade hub for Sanctum. This is because of its ability to move its location through the seas, where the trade routes will best suite it. Because of this, ,this is also the central location for Sanctum's Navy.

Aquatica also carries with it the most advanced city transportation system in the nation. With an advanced monorail system that can travel civilians across the city in just minutes, a series of flowing roads that engineers can adapt to get the best flow of traffic, and multiple water ways, getting across the city is easier than walking!

Being the commercial city that it is, Aquatica has lots of stores, due to its rich tourism, as well as their even middle class to high class ratio. It also has many boats, as boats are used for both trade and recreation.

Viria: The largest city of Sanctum, squared out to roughly 39 miles in length, being square in shape. This is probably the most normal city of Sanctum because it's actually on solid ground, just located off of the swampy coast of Avena. Viria is the heart of Sanctum's production, consisting of many automated factories crafted to perfection in both quality and speed.

Mainly consisting of the middle class, Viria is known for producing all of Sanctum's war tech, as well as researching it. Many universities of science and engineering are in Viria, and students come all across the Sanctum to learn there. Known for being extremely busy, aircraft and boats, as well as trucks are constantly moving in and out of the city, delivering and transporting produced goods.

Alhond: This is the largest Asperan ruin inside of Sanctum's borders, located on an island also named Alhond west of the continent Vexus. Climate wise, Alhond is very temperate, not too hot, yet not too cold due to the warm winds it receives from the equator, as well as cold winds from the Southern Shelf. These winds of course generate tons of storms, and the island is constantly pounded by hurricanes.

Geography wise, the island is very elevated above the water by rocks, as it was once a volcano that now lies dormant, and is very barren Not many plants can grow on the island due to the fierce winds that constantly bombard the island.

The ruins of Alhond are easy to spot, as they're located directly at the top of the volcano. At its peak, a giant citadel made of the typical pure white extremely durable glass-like metal. Inside of the citadel walls are a wide variety of abandoned buildings all with a strange architecture. There's more to it though, underneath the citadel there is an entire complex of ruins all built into the shaft of the Volcano, tunneling down miles underneath the surface! Because of these features, it's believed that these ruins were used to study both Weather above surface and geological activity below the surface. Even more interesting is that while the outside of the ruins may be beaten and battered, the inside reaching into the volcano is in near perfect condition. Some of the technology inside of it even operates to this day!

[S.N.T.S Locations]

Duval: The largest port city of the SNTS, Duval is the main naval house shipping and Naval Military base in the SNTS. Here, there are plenty of advanced metal factories producing the most advanced metals of the SNTS. Here, the entire city is roughly 30 miles long and very spaced out unlike cramped sanctum cities. Work is extremely easy to find, as not only are there factories but also lots of brewing companies for alcohol and medicine. Not much of an entertainment industry around, other than just a few clubs, and theaters filled with propaganda.

Duval is filled with many hills, and is constantly shifting temperatures due to sea winds in the day and night. There are lots of parks in this city, as well as statues commemorating the honor of the SNTS navy. Major transit bus systems as well as personal standard vehicles are used to cross the city.

It is at night though when this city truly comes alive. A marvelous display of neon-like lights become displayed of orange and white, lighting up the tanned cube-buildings of the night, and displaying all of the marvelous family banners hung from each building, showing the pride of the town. Each resident is proud of their heritage, it can be seen in the way they walk, talk, and go about their daily lives.

Uthane: The capital city of the SNTS, located on the largest inland lake in the world, known as the heart of Taria. Uthane is the largest city not only in Taria, but in the world, measuring out to be over 400 miles as it spans the entire length of an island. Some may see this as remarkably more populated than that of Sanctum Cities, yet understand how well spread out each city block is. Population wise, it's the same as that of Cilestia.

Uthane is where the Imperial Palace is located, which is a gigantic colosseum shaped tower, which is also the largest and most well defended building in all of the SNTS. Here is where the Prime Dictator, also known as the party leader of the SNTS, rules over all of the SNTS. This city is by far the most beautiful city in all of the SNTS, due to its huge airship/gunship industry.

Because of its location near a gigantic lake, it makes it the perfect Airship testing grounds, and much of the city is composed of factories for Airships as well as gunships because of it. Seeing airtraffic across the lake is a common sight for the eye.

Primarily aside from the factories this city does have much for it, including many universities and colleges for science, as well as many sports centers. This is afterall the capital, it needs to be more lively than the rest of the cities. Moral here is high, just like the people's spirit. Like every city in the SNTS, the buildings all have family banners proudly hung from them, showing off the pride of the nation.

Cybris: The most unique city in all of the SNTS, and a classified one as well. Cybris is a gigantic military base, built across an entire island. Only soldiers are allowed inside of the city, no civilians, and this is primarily where all CA's go through their training regiments for the SNTS as it is the most secure city in all of Taria. Anything within a certain distance that doesn't identify itself is terminated by advanced weaponry.

Cybris is also where all experimental weaponry and vehicles are tested, as well as military research on the human body and CA's. The contents are classified to most personal, but it's made up of many housing units for the soldiers that live on the base, and an academy for CA's to learn their skills of trade. There is a massive unseen side to the base however, as a massive complex of underground tunnels and buildings are under the compound, where all classified experiments are held.

Osset: Osset is the industrial center of the SNTS. This is due to its location near the mountains and ocean, which allow there to be plenty of fisheries and mines. Tons of factories make up the cities, producing all of the goods that can be used for both military and civilian use across the SNTS. These goods could basically be anything, and once produced they are distributed all across the SNTS for the people.

Otherwise, this is the smallest SNTS city, ranging at only 60 miles due to a lack of space brought on, but this has little effect on the city. The city is built partially onto the back of a mountain, causing a huge elevation difference from the bottom to the top. This causes the city to be made up of steppes, basically looking like a giant staircase or bleachers rising up from the harbor to the mid side of the mountain.

Note: I'm pretty open to critique. I'm planning on changing one of the premise of the RP so that we all play as Sanctum characters cause' it's it's a mess otherwise.

Tarian state is a tad bit unbelievable and is very similar to communist like states that exist today. Military plays a massive role in enforcing these states. Other than saying its success is derived from a military presence, perhaps you could manipulate just a bit from being super successful, to perhaps its people merely believing that it's successful and fair. Afterall it does have its own iron fist dictator and the government is involved with everything. Perhaps a future plot point that you didn't want to shed? With such a situation, I find it hard to believe there is that much contentment in that state.

Sanctum is a little more believable, but why are they so efficient that poverty is almost gone? Other than a few nitpicks on naming conventions it's a pretty cool set up you got there. I loved the government section, which has a fairly cool set of checks and balances. Reminds me of the UK with its figurehead emperor.

I'm also a big fan of lost civilizations and east vs west scenarios. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this.

I kinda based the Tarian state off of modern day dictatorships and past communist regimes. I see what you mean though, I'll have to brainstorm some ways the SNTS keeps contentment with the state. Perhaps a 1984 like government with a TON of propaganda? If I recall, I think I was trying to not make them appear so villain like back when I had it so players could make characters on both sides (Though I don't plan on doing that again.)

As for Sanctum I can't remember why I did the whole 'eliminated poverty' thing when it could establish a flaw that the SNTS society wouldn't have due to equality. I'll definitely adjust that >.>

Thanks for looking at it though @Bacon is fluffy

Also, yeah, naming is kinda weird. I recall being a mixture of extremely ambitious/extremely lazy with naming things but that map took hours to make so I think it might just have to stay.

@Gilzar Haha no problem. It's actually in many ways, my bag. Hits so many points that the only thing left out was a cute girl narrating it all. xD

In regards to the Tarian state, you did good trying to leave it open as a state players can choose. Depending on the amount of people you get, it could work by having players roleplay as actual citizens in that state. It might be a bit wierd, but you could have a variety of different ways for players to explore it. Off the top of my head I can see a person who is loyal to their military controlled state and he finds out IC, that his long time friend and fellow roleplayer is part of a revolutionary movement. I'll never forget what a friend told me about writing, that is great authors ask big questions and don't have good answers. So if you did leave this country or alliance open to players, it could be interesting playing a dad trying to protect his family. Sanctum members might see this guy as brainwashed, but the Tarian player would see it as defending his family. These types of things really resonate with me and would make for good conflict. But you never know, people tend to gravitate toward the less evil side.

As for your inspiration, admittedly my knowledge really only goes up until 1990ish and was focused heavily on the Russian vs west narrative. I don't know much about China, even though it actually fits much of what you said in original post. But I also haven't done my research, so I think I jumped the gun when I said that it was not completely believable. Afterall they're a massive economic power but still technically commies- capitalism.military state and a socialist foundation. But yes I do think 1984 + propaganda would definitely fit the bill. You've even given us the perfect propaganda, honor and family values. In that case, it's totally understandable if society at large accepts a state which is equal under an iron fist.

In regards to sanctum, capitalism's main flaw is it's a dog eat dog economy. It could also be a great way to incentivise people to join the military for the education and benefits that normally would be harder to get on their own. Thus fueling the ability to fan the flames of war, educate the willing, and get more volunteers. From that standpoint, it would make a lot of sense for why people were joining the military.

The map is well done. I myself suck at map making(tried a few times before) and naming is just a bother. ThAT AND FINDING CHARACTER PICTURES FOR NEW CHARACTERS.

@Bacon is fluffy Picture finding and I have a love-hate relationship ;-;

That map. That map. OhhhhI could rant about it for hours. I first had to make it on some sketchy AF generator, then screen shot it, and then finally take it to power point where I do my editing (Yeah I edit photos on Power point, that's how I made the flags). Then I had to move those small small legend keys into place

I'm probably never making another map in hindsight xD

Now the one thing that I'm also curious about is a possible plot.

I have lots in my head but....

any tips on what to possibly try to center around? I'm not asking for a whole plot, just tips with the current world state what could be done.

Alliance system, similar to world war one's spark. Everyone is obligated and honor bound to come to the other's aid within the alliance. This is set up for a pragmatic leader to use as a deterrent, but for a war hungry or less than suitable leader, could end up in total war. The basic thing that started world war 1 was austria was trying to beat serbia. They refused to back down and so serbia brought russia in. Once everything was said and done and everyone started arming up for a fight, there was no way to stop the gears of war from turning. Even in a modern society this would be the case because if 25% of the population is calling for war on twitter, then it becomes a snowball effect. Since you have alliances, you can start this off in a similar fashion. Perhaps fight over a small terriotory or naval dispute such as sinking a merchant ship. Then escalate it because the leaders of either side had ulterior motives for starting war. Bonus points if your two sides try to get neutral territory in the war by promising land to nations that will never get any out of the conflict since it was offered to others.

Base it off the cold war. Trying to stamp eachother's political influence through espionage and have your rp'ers be those agents.

Have a hitler like figure rise through the ranks of the more democratic faction by gaining on the system and then using good sounding rhetoric to spread fear and hatred toward the SNTS.

Feel awkward not having a ton to say about the other two plot starters. xD

wow, this is great.

I think you could describe more about the technology of both Nations, not just the weapons and buildings, but everyday technology like digital devices (do they have those?), transportation systems, and stuff

I kinda have a basic plot down, so hear me out. Not trying to give too much away because when I make this an rp (When my schedule lightens) I don't want players to be able to reference this. This is also really poor in description so I apologize for this, not having time to properly type it up.

For about five years or so (Maybe 10, I'm still deciding) it's been standoff between both sides. Neither has fired a single shot toward each other, but no treaties have been signed (Think of Russia. They've stopped fighting but technically they're still at war because they've never signed any treaties.).

Things escalate quickly however when the SNTS 'Annexes' (a fancy word for occupying) the neutral country that sits directly between Lucia and Taria (The small continent/island that has the Asperan Ruin named Lesethyr) and begins to set up operations. The SNTS takeover is mostly peaceful, marching an overwhelming force straight into the country.

The sudden occupation quickly stirs Sanctum, who immediately surround the Western edge of the continent with their navy and air force to prepare for an invasion. However, intel is needed, and this is where the RP begins around! Selected children of Aspera will be sent to infiltrate the SNTS ranks and figure out what brought about the occupation, any various other things. All while meeting SNTS characters...that sort of thing. Monster or some kind of creature there, some conflict there, yeah.

I'm kinda thinking about centering the entire rp on that middle continent (Have yet to name), and the conflict that brews on it by the two fueding superpowers and how it effects the characters, who'll have various things going on. I kinda plan the climate to be similar to fall weather.

Sorry if this is confusing, I don't have everything put down. Thoughts?

It's pretty clear, perhaps too clear? :3 Maybe not but it looks like a good starting point.
